weak point of dash happens to be ongoing POW phase, there are sophisticated ASIC X11 devices out there, you stand no chance, use your GPU's for gaming (nice break from crypto actually) and save your energy (mental and electrical)
But supply is also tight........I think they have found the sweat spot maybe, I just find high price of entry of 10K $ last year encouraged narrow demographics of distribution , overall I am not out there to put down anything or anyone...if something works it works.. inflationary model here is also well thought out, and even if supply grows.. it is de-accelerated , self see this in daily payouts.. I mean after all they were like 25 DNET before and now... anyways.. this is all beginning stages of something big, ultimately is coin use that will decide if community builds up and then zcash protocol then next natural thing is a market place a retail place and auction like place (long term projects) but might as well speculate.. I dont know if you saw but zcoin has also been dragged in the upwards direction (caught in time in trading time) we are tied to it by the virtue of upcoming libzercoin.so lib.. and that is cut edge.... zcoin is EXTREMELY tight in supply and has slow block growth curve.. algo computation time is probably contributing to it.. even wallet itself is still not polished... and requires babysitting.. but people are lining up to purchase it right now.. regardless. why ? potential...algo appears unbreakable and for us it is good for zcoin going forward will use code review and spot things like = is not equal to == (which was found recently in the lib) but these are trivial errors.. and yet VERY important to catch cheers Agree on zcoin, looks solid.......however in my opinion, for small investors (like me), I think diversified portfolio would be best........holding dnet, zcoin and zclassic (still mining)! |

I want to share a bug (have replicated it many times).
OS: Windows
Trigger: If your computer losses power (i.e. Windows is not shutdown properly) and PIVX wallet is running, db gets corrupted.
Solution: When you open PIVX wallet next time, it will display a message that db is corrupt and will give an option of recovering it. However, this solution does not work (wallet gets stuck).
My solution: User will have to re-sync blockchain from scratch (or manually restore blockchain db).

Take it one step further and add a roadmap and white paper to the vergecurrency.com site. I know you mentioned writing a white paper before, i think now would be a great time to pen a short sweet white paper to go with the new wallets. It would be nice to have something clear and official i can refer people to when they ask for technical specifics; i don't want to get a detail wrong and start a flame up on twitter over it  I appreciate you Dev! Well if that would be really true I doubt the price would be 2 / 3 sats, so I think there is really missing something, but I just can't see what. Probably something we don't know. It's just odd and not logical. With such huge block rewards I think one cannot expect better price (apart from occasional pumps) |

IMO, not having pivx.com will be a major drawback... .COM is must, even if we don't use it. Majority of normal users will first go to pivx.com or even search "pivx.com" in Google.
There is a typo in the thread title "PROFESSIONAL REBRANDING TO [PRVX] " PRVX or PIVX?
I don't think that's an issue at all. DASH doesn't have dash.com either. Heck, we didn't have darknet.com either but you are still here right? Good find! It is supposed to be PIVX. I'll notify s3v3nh4cks to update it asap. I am here because I am a day-one adopter Not having pivx.com may confuse new adopters. |
