1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Promotion and Adoption in my locality on: November 20, 2022, 04:38:36 PM
I like this one OP accepting Bitcoin is one of the ways to encourage people to an actually see Crypto-currency as usable and not just an investment property. You can also motivate others to start this process too.

But it's not just going to end by you accepting Bitcoin alone, I believe you know some of your patronizers you can start by telling them about Bitcoin. You can mostly based on what challenges they face right now in Crypto-currency.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana rise again? on: November 19, 2022, 08:14:40 PM
I think Solana still have hope. Infact some Crypto-currency enthusiast I respect so much are seeing this as an opportunity, well don't get your guard down make sure you do your own research. I think Solana what greatly involved in FTX exchange and what is experiencing right now is a mixture of the already poor market and the events unfolding on FTX exchange.

I think Solana has a large community and since it's not an official coin of the FTX exchange it can definitely bounce back, generally coins in the crypto space now aren't having the best of times.
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: New to Bitcoin, here's your FAQ: Who should I trust and whom not? on: November 19, 2022, 07:58:29 PM
Welcome to Bitcoin, CryptoFolks! Here's your FAQ as a beginner:

Q: Is Bitcoin dying after FTX fall?
A: The Bitcoin price has continued to shrink in 2022 since Terra Luna initiated a significant crypto crash in Q1 and now FTX saga. Bitcoin will most likely have value and regain. The only thing that can make Bitcoin valueless is if all governments ban it or render it illegal. However, this consensus is almost impossible to reach.

You may not understand how this works and I can see that, I think you should relax and learn, all your post here are actually not correct including this, firstly yes Tera Luna had a very bad period and definitely caught many investors and still many other investors got into it and also got caught in all of that.

But what you should know is that Tera Luna doesn't influence Bitcoin and let's say it does it won't be very substantial. It's actually the other way round, for example Bitcoin is dominant and it's situation determine the outcome of the crypto-currency market.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 19, 2022, 07:20:46 PM
At first I thought it was just luck Newcastle city were on and some of their players were just having good days in the office, but as time goes you can see that this team is ready for anybody, they are really giving it their all and are destroying teams as they come.

With the money Newcastle has this is just the beginning, we have seen this phase with city with the billionaires newly bought them, you can see where they are now, I think Newcastle would also be like that.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Crypto head and staff resigns on: November 19, 2022, 06:18:41 PM
It would only have an impact on the Crypto-currency twitter community, to be honest I don't see how this affects crypto-currency in any way, yes twitter has lots of Crypto influencers and promoters who and even more impactful than those people mentioned.

The bottom line here is that we pay attention to Elon musk so much anything that has to do with him we think it would impact the crypto-currency community. In my own opinion it would only impact twitter.
1206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are exchanges the only way BTC can be purchased? on: November 18, 2022, 08:46:24 PM
People buy bitcoin through vendors, just like you meet someone that is doing the business on this forum and buy or sell with him. I mean direct p2p. No intermediary.
Direct p2p may work and/or especially when there is trust between the two party involved but is it actually right to have p2p without an intermediary regardless of the trust built? I think except you know the person or have regional connections with the person.

To be More secured having the services of an escrow can activated too.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance, BitMEX and KuCoin have delisted FTX Token pairs from their crypto excha on: November 18, 2022, 08:41:15 PM
It's probably the end of the road for FTX top Exchange are currently cutting their affiliations with FTX. I don't blame those Exchanges. FTX has actually destroyed many Crypto-enthusiast and some ignorant once may still see it as an opportunity to join or just become foolishly optimistic about FTX.

Exchanges deleting FTX is also a protection plans those exchanges are employing to protect their users and community from FTX, I think we should learn when to give up on failed Cryptos like FTX.
1208  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 18, 2022, 07:31:25 PM
I greet everyone  This evening. Guys end of the year don they reach and we a grateful for a year it's been, but still a lot can still happen for us and knowledge dem talk sey e be power.

Although this year hasn't been the best year for Crypto-currency. Things just they move from one dip to another we understand sey the market Dey volatile so we no go give us. That said I one know which coin una Dey hopeful on right now as the market Dey low and with reason make we exchange knowledge.

I go with Dogecoin. As we all know Dogecoin has had relationship with Elon musk wen him throw weight for them. Now he is in the news again with his acquisition of Twitter and the aftermath to come, I believe Dogecoin go collect some PR from this.
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance- CZ wanted to orchestrate a bitcoin re-org? on: November 18, 2022, 07:02:52 PM
I have nothing against CZ infact I think he is a role model to me from what he has achieved in Crypto-currency but as we may know Power can actually corrupt the mind if you let it.

CZ is a billionaire and a very notable figure in crypto-currency and I Think some of CZ moves are centered around him being dominant. He probably has achieved his financial goals and now seeking more power in Crypto-currency ecosystem.
He can try to pull up a Bitcoin re-org but I am sure it won't work out for him.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 17, 2022, 07:33:07 PM
I don't know why I have this hunch but I think politics may interfere in this year FIFA World Cup. It was a controversial World Cup from the get go by it being giving to Qatar in the first place, but issues like rainbow hand band, restrictions to fans and players in the jurisdictions of Qatar as a country and so many other issues at hand.

Also the players aren't well rested as they would have been if the competition was played in June, and still I don't think the weather helps in any way. I hope for a beautiful game but I think one or two issues may arise.
1211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If this is all a project has to offer run and don't look back on: November 17, 2022, 07:27:20 PM
This are schemes many new projects use to get new investors i have personally seen some myself many claim they bring in, amazing utilities like NFT marketplace, play to earn gaming, partnership, giveaways, strong community or even professional team.

You have to see the similarities with all this new project and understand that this might just be a trend you need to be careful about, I can't emphasize enough that it's best to good for good already established projects or have substantial review of a new one you are interested in.
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What feature do you think is difficult to accomplish with Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2022, 07:21:03 PM
Well we all have our curiosity or what brought us in Bitcoin so I think we would first get used to that before learning more. Some can be investment, others try to get a decentralized financial system, some trading.
Mine was that Bitcoin is the future and I have to be part of it.

I have used Bitcoin in my business, my career and my daily financial activities. I have tried trading and got a hang over it but one aspect I still don't understand is the mining aspect of Bitcoin.
1213  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Fact or Fake? FTX collapse related to Biden Administration and Anti-Ukraine . . on: November 16, 2022, 08:14:40 PM
Probably the worst reason I have see so far on the FTX fall. Have you checked how Joe Biden the president of the United state of America administration or those against Ukraine connects with the fall of FTX.

The fall of FTX is starting to get blown out of proportion. And when ever A crypto-currency is likened to government there are always shades of corruption. I think the FTX fall rather has to do with how the internal management was handled.

This won't be the first time we see this take for example Luna, their fall has nothing to do with vindictive actions against them, rather wrong powerful moves can end any crypto-currency.
1214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a Quality Post? on: November 15, 2022, 08:00:24 PM
Good work OP but is quality post this complicated? Many newbies may get wary or cold feet in trying to make a post that is quality seeing that there may just be a rule to it. Some times trying to hard is doing less or more harm.
A quality post can be as simple as a Newbie inexperience question on things they don't understand. Or something they just solved. Take you time guys a post that has you level of reasoning and doesn't constitutes nuisance, can have the pass mark of a quality post.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you avoid anything funded by Alameda Research / FTX ? on: November 13, 2022, 07:46:10 PM
Does Solana have any strong connection with FTx pls correct if you have a strong prove. I personally don't hold Solana but if I actually believed in it strongly as to buy it I won't just sell it off because of the recent FTX block buster movie.

I have checked Solana as a coin I Think it's ok apart from it trying to do to much like getting its own network which I think won't be a success . The coin has really been average. I think if it drops now it's just a good opportunity because it has the ability to also rise. Solana has been one coin on my radar.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 13, 2022, 07:31:27 PM
Well this is probably the first match this season I have to say Manchester United played their best. They really proved they are a solid team.
Fulham is not a team I would be scared of  but today as in some big matches they have played they gave a good game.

Manchester United went  goal up but Fulham came back with an equalizer and held the game for a very long time .
Until the young start whose idol is Cristiano Ronaldo has to come to Manchester United rescue with a very late equalizer .
1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should you know about P2P on: November 13, 2022, 07:12:23 PM
Who else thinks this sort of post has something to do with FTX, why all of a sudden the crypto-currency world seem to have been awaken to the Vices of exchanges.
Personally I wasn't affected by the FTX drama so I can't relate with all the issues currently in the Crypto-currency world.

I believe if we do are research rather than go with an unverified news we may probably no be affected too much by the FTX drama.
1218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should you know about P2P on: November 13, 2022, 05:50:24 PM
For me what you should know about peer to peer is not all that complicated. But if you lack some sort of knowledge you would definitely not understand it.

Personally peer to peer can be risky but if you use an escrow that is from a genuine source then you are good. Always understand that in peer to peer no one is to be trusted and everything about protect has to start with you.
Exchanges like Binance has made it easier by offering their own exchange services for peer to peer transactions so take it.
1219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WBTC vs BTC on: November 12, 2022, 07:37:23 PM

If you want to withdraw bitcoin (BTC) on exchanges, you will see those fake networks like Ethereum, Binance chain and some other networks which are all not the real bitcoin but pegged and existing on another blockchain entirely. They have low transaction fee which will encourage novice. But not only that, many newbies are confused, some thought they are actually bitcoin, not knowing they are only stable coins, but if anything wrong happen, it would become depegged and fall in value than the real bitcoin.
I think there should be a standard to it right now where newbies before joining an exchange read not only the term and conditions but how to use the exchange itself. I have used Binance and I have also tried withdrawing Bitcoin from it and those other networks came up, but something was very clear and that's which is fake and which isn't, the network names where boldly written and it would take a Newbie that doesn't observe to fall for some fake.

Also as a Newbie and not used to all that it's best to ack a more experienced person who has used the exchange.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: There is Hope at the End of the Tunnel. Don't Give Up. on: November 12, 2022, 06:58:47 PM
I also think there is hope at the end of the Tunnel but sometimes there is none if the tunnel is blocked.  Just like what happened in FTX.  It is supposed to be bought by Binance but due to some regulatory issues,  Binance give up on the idea.
I don't think CZ and his Binance team gave up the option to Buy FTX because of just regulations issues, yes CZ was hot at acquiring it I even thought the deal was concluded. But I think the team generally had some rethink and evaluation internally (and going by the main reason for wanting to purchase it in the first place being to prevent competition) I think CZ and binance felt this route is effective and money saving for them.

To be honest I am still following the news up although it's affect the financial lives of many people, I really hope we pick up great lessons from this events.
