1201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin maximum price on: July 22, 2023, 08:50:13 PM
Let's see the market prediction by crypto community.

.
Ask me what might be the price of bitcoin over the course of four years ago with respect to the current ATH,I wouldn’t have guessed it to have reached $60k, not a chance. At the time, it seemed something that wasn’t going to happen within the time frame.
Now, if we are to cap what could be the maximum price of bitcoin, I would say it’s much too early for that as, bitcoin is still young in our todays society and have got more years to count it’s values.

The most we could expect or try to get insight into is the goods the next halving could bring which could break the current existing ATH and create a new ATH.
So, you could as well be actively hodling till that happens and have no course for regrets over wrong decisions.
1202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Crypto may go wrong for some people on: July 22, 2023, 08:10:39 PM
Anything isn't for lazy people, not only crypto.

When someone is lazy and don't want to learn before making the next move, they have a high chance for making a wrong step rather than the experienced and someone who already learn a lot.
Good thing pointing that out.

I’ll like to say, someone who happens to be experienced is one that has failed many times and one who isn’t is one that has some rough ride up front.
I wouldn’t say your friend @OP is the lazy type, nope. He just had a bad choice of investments to have picked altcoins for his crypto investments without doing any proper findings on it or having a high expectancy of a failed potent on altcoins.

One thing that remains real and is very disappointing when people don’t realize it is that, it’s not a get rich scheme and there are those that are bound to enrich the others in this system. It’s just how it works and you just have to try not yo be amongst those losing to others.

I pity your friend for running off and that might be the best for him @OP because, you truly shouldn’t go in huge on that which you know nothing about.
1203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting started : Guide me on: July 22, 2023, 07:54:47 PM
I have recently joined the exciting field of cryptocurrencies and heard about this forum as a perfect launchpad to start my journey.
Honestly as a beginner, I'm eager to participate in bounty campaigns and explore various free earning opportunities.
Firstly, I’ll like to say welcome to the forum and hope you get to stay around longer than most.

Surely, you ought to have been pre-oriented before you joined up from what I gather in the OP and I would say, there are opportunities here for sure but, non is free. In fact, running any form of free reward systems here can get you temporal ban as participant and organizer. This is because, it could lead to abuse and spam on the forum and this is the last thing we want.
Hence, you might want to not cloud your head with all that. Even in the dig campaigns on here, the posts you make is a good enough work of publicity, representation and reputation.

Quote
After roaming around in this forum, now I am little bit confused where to start.
So here I invite all experience members to give your valuable thoughts and guidance for me.  Smiley
Haven’t said all that, I would encourage you to start where you can. There isn’t any specifics to this but, you do your bit to understanding the knowledge at your disposal and not ignore what is set before you. They all merge to form the much you would know later and aid you through your crypto journey.
1204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Online mining on: July 22, 2023, 07:45:53 PM
I just launch a website for Trade and Mining , And i want to ask from which site i can get license for add a Crypto online Wallet and Mining System and how i get profit from this
It feels like a medicine after death kind of scenario.

From what you’ve stated in the OP, you clearly said you’ve already launched the site and then, here you are looking out for means to get profits from it or have it licensed!
These are the things you ought to have done before going public by launching the site. Intuitions like this means, it’s a low budget thing and in most cases it ends up disappointing so many that would have hoped to get any results from it.

Still, bitcoin mining has gone way above anything online mining or mining with just any device and there is no regulation to this at the time. Though, you remain subject to the policies or laws in your jurisdiction as applies.
1205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My number on: July 22, 2023, 07:39:59 PM
bclq4kus3ccdu29t3vh7r2ap5p735jhk5dmsteumrd
Where do i use this at ?
Technically, these ain’t numbers and so, you can’t call it that. It contains alphabets and numbers which makes it an alphanumeric coding system but,
Can we call it that? No!

Before I proceed any further, I’ll like to enquire on where you got it from?
Was it generated for you by someone or you generated it yourself from some wallet?

If you must know, this alphanumeric coding bclq4kus3ccdu29t3vh7r2ap5p735jhk5dmsteumrd is what is called an address. I could draw a relation to bank account numbers when dealing with fiat but, this is your details as it regards crypto wallets. It’s your public key and could be used in receiving bitcoin in any denomination.

It’s important that you’re the sole custodian of the wallet from which this address was generated and hope you’ve got the private key or seed phrase safely positioned
.
Don’t end up using an address sent for you by someone over the web or within your neighborhood and have the slightest idea that it’s yours and you’re safe. Arm yourself with the knowledge you need before any proceedings.
1206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Spreading bitcoin awareness; Your personal security matters first on: July 22, 2023, 07:31:50 PM
I feel like bitcoin should be spread in these kind of communities secretly and cautiously to avoid exposing our privacy and hampering our security.
Secretly you say!
Bitcoin wasn’t meant to leave in the shadows or to serve as some currency that exists on the dark web. Bitcoin was meant for a world wide usage which requires it going public in a number of ways. Publicity by seminars, classes and more is one of those ways.

I get it that in doing this, one gets to expose themselves to security challenges as, you can’t tell who is in the crowd, there motives for being there and the steps they are ready to take based on there perception or what they perceive to be what is or what could be from the entire event.

This makes hosting such event to be something you should exercise caution about and be well aware that, you encroach on your privacy in doing so.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Return Hardware Wallet That Contains 3+ BTC in a Hotel Room? on: July 21, 2023, 11:57:30 PM
Well, one can never know until they find themselves in that position but, my conscience won't let me be at peace if I find myself holding what doesn't belong to me or what I know for certain is hurting someone out there and worst still, when this person is known and you ca see the changes this event is bringing on his or her existence. That would be just so much go bare and there ist any pride in that.

I beleive I would be more comfortable handing it over rather than  keeping it to myself. I get to accord myself certain reputation and who knows, the person who has been done this good would never forget you and could also preach you to persons or organisations that could lewd to your uplifting some day. It pays to be good.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin is not do or die on: July 21, 2023, 11:50:24 PM
Bitcoin is here to make you money, teach you about money.

Not everyone will be able to be  a great teacher of Bitcoin
I don't think bitcoin has ever been here to make any one money. Bitcoin  has got a lot ot purpose but making you kidney isn't one of it. Only you can get to make you money and so, you have to be on point on all your doing and have a plan towards archiving desired profit.
Bitcoin is out there for quick and easy transactions on the Web and its designed to be peer to peer. Yes you can make money hodling bitcoin but that isn't bitcoin making you money, it's you making you money.

Yeah, a lot of people aren't great teachers or writers and a lit of those but some persons just love to try or have the desire to teach and I wouldn't blame them for that but, I hope they understand that, your students understands better when they are interested in what is been taught to them.
1209  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Wetin bitcoin mixer be on: July 21, 2023, 11:37:16 PM
Bitcoin mixer no be new thing but some people never still hear about am as them new for the crypto space, wetin be bitcoin mixer.

E go hard for person way dey this forum, way dey put eye for ground well to say e never come across mixers or know warin them be. At most we fit say, plenty people no dey use am or never use am but, if you dey very concerned about your privacy, you go reason use mixers. For the plenty campaigns way dey the forum, na mixers wella and gambling campaigns.

Well, mixers dey help wella in tightening loosed ends but, there are rules yo using them as well. People way dey watch dey very observant on inputs and outputs and so, if you dey run a your transactions at once, person go still suspect say na watin you do by the volume noted.
Just sma tricks like that but using mixers na good idea if you wan dey very private on your transactions.
1210  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Who is to be blamed ? on: July 21, 2023, 11:19:33 PM
I beg my pipu,I dey vex for the way things just dey scatter and inflation dey high everyday by day. Tinubu wey some people say na him dem want, say him go fit change things for the country to make am better, come join dey make am worst the more. Imagine three months never reach Baba remove fuel subsidy, remove education subsidy and still go apply for loan say him wan use am pay poor Nigerians 8k for 6 months.
Believe me, I no been dey against the fuel subsidy issue o. I been ready say, after a great suffering would come a greater good but, this kind suffering no be like say e get light at the end of the tunnel with the way Baba dey reason.

Like, watin be the point in trying to take loan and pay people while you hike the price of watin for make almost everything to dey affordable for we nation. E cast like that na!
We shah know say, cost of transportation na one thing way dey make things cost for we country before we go con reason scarcity matter. Why jot redirect this loan to making our refinery work rather than dey plan pay families 8k for 6momths.

E no just make sense to me.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 7k usdt on: July 20, 2023, 10:30:41 PM
Where to invest 7k usdt

To get profit daily 30$
I’ll lay it out for you;
There are scammers everywhere and Bitcointalk is no exception. $7k is a well enough amount, a huge amount for the citizens of some nations and not so many care very much of the DT system that operates on here.
When you spread your vulnerability out in the open like this, your sure to get some scammers trying to use it for there advantage but be well advised and before you go with whatever is been served you, kindly and for your own good, lay it bare to the forum so you don’t shoot yourself in the foot.

The need to increase has lead many to getting scammed and when you can’t do it yourself, you’re better off buying and hodling for the bulls to come take price up.
Mind you, there is no consistency to it or the profit you can get.
1212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No social media is safe on: July 20, 2023, 10:23:11 PM

   Beware of con artists!
I was just wondering who bumped this over one year scam thread and it happens to have been you! Clearly a year and over 2months apart which should have dished this thread since November last year from the last comment before yours and that gives over 6months apart before you deemed it fit to lift it from the ashes just to remind us how social media is a place for con artists.

I don’t know but, I feel this shouldn’t have been and you ought to have let the thread get washed up with the others from it’s time as, the scheme is already polarized even though it continues to work on some not well informed people.

At times, pay heed to the warning signs not to bump an old thread.
1213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Bitcoin Wallets ? on: July 20, 2023, 09:38:08 PM
Electrum wallet stands out, out there when you take about hot wallets or non custodial wallets but, the level of security it gets depends on you who owns the wallet as per how open you are to what it is, the exposure you give it lying there on your screen for all to see and most times on an already installed device, you access it with a password rather than seed phrases. Seed phrases becomes useful while installing on a different device (Importing) and its ability to do that is what makes it the most dangerous to be care free about and so, you must be particulate and private about them.
1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bitcoin investors! on: July 20, 2023, 09:32:03 PM
People who really understands what investment is all about, took time to plan and scale their income weight, Period of plan and period of investment. Bitcoin investors know when and how to invest whether trading or mining there is an appropriate time for it. And as investor you're not expected to hit and run or even eat up your profit. You've to give it time to grow hip hop and accumulate more. That's why in most cases I trust bitcoin investment to any forex or others channels, in bitcoin one hardly loss it all especially if the value of units coins remain safely.
Who says those who sell a portion or all of their BTC aren’t bitcoin faithfuls or good bitcoin investors. Perhaps they’ve got the plans to buy it back when it dips and would still be on profit, hodling when it starts rising.

Come in,
Bitcoin remains a p2p commodity on the blockchain network and the multitude that still uses it as such, using it like a currency which it is, they aren’t doing it wrong and we can’t say they aren’t good investors. We can’t be centered on just one aspect to a multidimensional bitcoin.

Those who wish to hodl should br encouraged,
Those who wants to spend it for a currency should do so,
Those who wants to trade it on the market can have their go at it for sure.

It’s just bitcoin being used as it should be.
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I save my brother by investing in btc now? on: July 20, 2023, 09:17:41 PM
My brother has leukemia. I have already owed  30,000 US dollars. But my brother still hasn't improved. I finally got the bone marrow last week. The doctor said it would cost about 75,000 US dollars. My total assets are about 3,000 US dollars now. If I want to treat my brother. Is it too late to buy btc now?thank you
The point where you hope to transform $3,000 to $75,000 is funny as you intend to do that by holding from what I gather in the OP and this is to happen within a short time frame given that, your brother is waiting on the surgery.
It’s just sad when health is involved but, you can’t hope to have that sort of money within a short period by just hodling. It’s the one thing that might not happen and eventually, you don’t get to save your brother.

The means through which this can be archived is by trading but, you need to be some guru for that to happen as trading requires a lot of experience.
The next would be gambling but I wouldn’t advise it as you might end up with just $3 in the end.

My advice would be that you sort for other means of finance and don’t let your situation push you into making hasty steps and decisions. Scammers don’t give a damn about your brother being seek.

1216  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Fuel Price do move 4rm ₦537 To ₦617 for one Litre on: July 19, 2023, 11:26:14 PM
@Igebotz and @Charles-Tim, there is context to both of una arguments and as una carry spill am out like this bring better understanding on the views of each user. I see reason shah via say,

Removal and hike in this manner na different things but then, e happen say, the hike stern from the subsidy removal. Still, no be only pms them remove subsidy for too, even electricity bill now don come up and that na still effect from the subsidy.

If we really been wan Dey discuss all the effect from subsidy for one thread, e go Dey too bulky but then, no be bad idea say, here suppose get some kind decorum and na men like us way lobby this we hangout go try make an work.
On that note, I still dey appreciate people way dey put eye here make things for dey go well and advice others to try seek closely existing threads to avoid word way no go sweet for belle.

Suffering and smiling - Fela Kuti.
1217  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija internet Phsiphing scam on the rise-Opay scam be aware on: July 19, 2023, 11:12:20 PM
When you see things like these eh, you go understand say, people for we nation and even Obodo the world way dey eye we nation dey very thoughtful and na so then still dey very creative too.
See watin human being use en time and resources carry do. Watin go stop them from using that same energy use out for better thing and see how e go turn out.

E better as you don report am here shah but, I go like talk about some points way you don raise already and that go be;
1.
No be lie say, downloading from approved website na one of the best means, na them go redirect you go the correct one for playstore or AppStore. Mind you, Playstore no too sure like that. There means to verifying legitimacy of sites no tight and even for playstore, you fit still download wahala for yourself kwa.
Also, Opay no Dey operate one app alone, them get plenty names and versions to ram and that na another means to create confusion for customers.
- I go beg say, make we try Dey check reviews and number of downloaded persons or better still, go approved site. Ignorance now no dey pity person.

4.
With the way give away don do people something, e reach make people dey just be about watin them work and collect their money. Free thing no dey again, no go put yourself for wahala.
1218  Other / Meta / Re: Lol. Has this ever happened to you? Merit sent again after refreshing. on: July 19, 2023, 10:16:37 PM
It’s something that can easily be caused by a glitch in the network. When it comes to merits, it’s uncommon as meriting isn’t an activity one might likely find themselves doing often.

When it comes to making posts, it’s a common thing for me although, it’s often controlled or monitored. Most times, the little break in or glitch in stability and I find my browser asking to continue submission which I often approve and at other times, I go back a step to see if it’s been posted already.

Anyway, that could be the case while still on the merit page. A 7 minutes time frame between is a good enough time to course the page to sleep. Perhaps something to look out for.
1219  Other / Meta / Re: The problems newbies face on: July 19, 2023, 10:08:55 PM
Normally newbies who just join this forum are been attacked by those that have been here for long and secondly the rules and guidance and where to post and not to post and gaining merit .
Maybe if you complain less and understand that, aside from accounts that where on here before the introduction of the merit system, everyone started on as a newbie and now, most of them have attained desired ranks on the forum, you would find it difficult to know it’s by your effort or improve yourself if you don’t come by that realization.

One thing I would say to you now is that, complaints such as these gets you no where. Instead, redirect your effort towards being the best version of you that you can be and keep adding values to the forum.

I don’t see the forum to have been hostile towards newbies. At most, they are often treated like dummies and always in a bid to help and also, very welcoming when they create one of those “I am new here thread”.

On the issue of merits, you don’t get to decide. On the area of where to post, should a comment box be open to you, your good to go.
1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: July 18, 2023, 11:59:05 PM
It’s absolutely a good idea to have other engagements and not rely on bitcoin to be all that is for your survival or means to a livelihood. Even in the crypto space, they talk about diversification and that didn’t mean just buying bitcoin, altcoins, NFTs and whatever is out there in the crypto space.

Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t own bitcoin if you can afford it and know well enough how to protect your asset should you eventually buy some.
Your extent of diversification should involve taking other investments outside crypto, working a job, owning businesses and offering services.
In the event that one fails or is doing badly, you’ve always got something to fall back to.
