1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Civil War on: May 10, 2023, 09:45:41 AM

I'm quite understand, but it based on the above tweet it looks like easy to stop BRC-20 transactions? if it's possible then action will be taken ASAP because I think most of developers are don't like it and they're maximalists.

Asking miners to avoid BRC-20 transactions are impossible because they will get benefit due to people willing to pay with high amount of BTC.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 10, 2023, 09:17:17 AM
Free spins everyday without any other requirement? I doubt there will be a casino that can do such bonuses even with high wagering requirement for the free spin's winning. Simply because it will just attract people who want to make money for free from the free spins only, it wont attract real players. Userbase might grow but it wont be real users who want to deposit their own money, remember the time when faucet in gambling site is still popular few years back? There were so many abusers who want to take an advantage of making money through faucet without any intention to gamble with their own money. Free spins everyday without requirement is not a win win for both sides.
Correct, it's just like a way to destroy the casino, there's always a lucky gambler can beat the wagering requirement. People seems to forget if casino isn't a charity where they will give free money to everyone who take a part of their promotion. The most safest promotion for a new casino is a deposit welcome bonus or reward based on total wager, for a big casino they can run a promotion which could make them lose, but they have a lot money so it don't really affect them.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Ordinals on the edge of getting canceled on: May 10, 2023, 08:47:29 AM
If we are asked by the Bitcoin devs to vote and choose between allowing ordinals to keep doing their thing on Bitcoin or they should cancel ordinals what will you be voting for?  Grin Grin
Dude, you should need to create a poll before you post this thread, now how we can vote it? Tongue

Well I think most of users in this forum will vote Yes, but not really sure if this thread is moved to altcoins section, it might change the result because there are a lot bounty hunters there and looking to make a huge amount profit through shitcoins Roll Eyes

useless transactions onto a side chain if that was possible, but I don't see how that could be done.
It's possible, someone had open a thread about it yesterday, the name is ORC-20 Annoyed by Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens? Here come the Orcs!!!
1204  Economy / Gambling / Re: NAKAMOTO ROULETTE - open and live! on: May 10, 2023, 08:18:35 AM
I don't trust roulette.
In Nakamoto Roulette, is it possible to check the honesty of the results after placing bets?
Or do you only have roulettes with dealers that cannot be checked?
I don't see any provably fair system in their casino, so there's no way to verify your bet. The @OP was inactive since the last month, I personally will not take a risk because if I get a bad experience and want to complaint, there's no guarantee they will solve it.

Play with your own risk.
1205  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 What software of online casino slots do you prefer? on: May 10, 2023, 08:10:16 AM
For example, some slot machines are programmed for low winnings and it's not about the RTP. It's just that the mathematical model of individual slots was initially built very poorly.

🏆 For example, my favorite slots are from the following software - Push Gaming, Relax Gaming, Netent.
So you're don't trust with the RTP rate, but you choose those three providers are your favorite slots? that's not make sense, it's just your belief and there's no proof if the three providers above are better than the others. You're just lucky when you played those slots and unlucky on the others.

The providers can know the RTP rates of each slot by wagering more than 1 Million bets, so it's really high.
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Experienced Winning Bets By Upsets on: May 09, 2023, 02:28:31 PM
I once placed a bet on the underdogs and won. At first, I just casually placed bets on this team, because these underdogs were against my favorite basketball team
That's hilarious, you managed to bet on an underdog team where it match against of your favorite team, most gamblers are denial and they will keep to bet on their favorite team despite how bad or good the favorite team is.

It's why a wise bettor will not care with his favorite team or not, he will analysis and bet on the team which he think will win. Some underdog team can win due to many fans are overrated the favorite team.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's problems are visible as never before on: May 09, 2023, 01:13:06 PM
I think high fee in Bitcoin is inevitable, we're on a way to see the circulating supply will hit the maximum supply, currently there are around 19.3 Million Bitcoins have been mined, it's already 91% from the max supply. Although the recent high fee isn't caused by Bitcoin itself, but we will fight against of high fee, it's only depends on the time. Currently, you have an option to use other network or create a fork to stop the BRC-20 tokens.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Annoyed by Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens? Here come the Orcs!!! on: May 09, 2023, 01:06:25 PM
This mean ORC-20 tokens is just an another form of BRC-20 tokens which is still run in Bitcoin network? I think the project want to mislead the newbies by using "Revolutionizing The Bitcoin Network" words, which they will think it's decentralized. But according to the picture this chain allow partial tx and cancellation which is a centralized thing. I think the  ORC-20 tokens would fail because people are still believe the original one e.g. BRC-20 tokens.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: May 08, 2023, 01:01:15 PM
When you start winning and keep wining for some time (gamble/trading/other stuff) you feel like you can't lose. This is such a delusional state which is hard to predict first time you are in. I had it with trading and if you come from it with minimum loses it's such a worth trade in experience and money related stuff. I'm lucky it happened to me when I was pretty young and didn't lose much money. Be careful when things go bad, and even more careful when things are going good.
I would say if you're always making money in trading, you can quit your day job, in case you're already make a lot money and you can earn passive income by investing your money you've make from trading. The passive income you get are expected to cover up your daily spending, this mean if your trading goes wrong, you can still life with your passive income. Having a business is a good decision too especially if you're interested in business.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 08, 2023, 12:54:45 PM
I mean, why you force yourself to gamble using Bitcoin? just exchange it for cheaper fee altcoins e.g. Doge, Litecoin, TRC-20 tokens etc. This will avoid drama of paying high fees, I think it's still long to wait people to lost their interest to buy BRC-20 tokens, usually the hype last long for few months or a year. Remember next or two next years later bull run will happen, the Bitcoin price will increase and it make the fees skyrocketed more than this.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - there are far better options on: May 08, 2023, 06:48:30 AM
Can you explain whats happening out there. Ive seen a lot of social influ posting about it and its like people are grabbing some attention with this. Ive seen some nft with prices skyrocketed. So this domo on twitter the creator created a very contorversial tech?
BRC-20 tokens aren't NFT because there's no uniqueness of one to another, so it's just like altcoins created in Bitcoin network. It seems all the BRC-20 tokens has a limit supply, since it's already minted 100% and many people join this hype, this make the price of the token skyrocketed.

As you can see there are few tokens has 300%+ price increase in just 24 hours, people are looking for flipping their money.

1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing doesn't guarantee you to be rich on: May 08, 2023, 06:33:25 AM
To be fair if you're trading a shitcoins, you have a chance to become rich, but the risk is very high.

Since trading a shitcoins is like gambling and not advisable, most people recommend to learn a new skill that will help you to earn higher salary and this make you can start to invest in Bitcoin. I'd say investing in Bitcoin is very safe, it will not lost as long as you keep it secure and you can do anything with your coins even your country forbid to hold or use Bitcoin.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - there are far better options on: May 08, 2023, 06:17:25 AM
Nice write up.

I think when the BRC-20 hype trend is over, this happen when the token price isn't increase higher than the fees they've spend, so the project will consider to use the other alternative chain like counter party, OMNI and RGB you mentioned above. But AFAIK those chain is really underrated, not many people use it, so it's not liquid.

Even there's a vulnerability with the ordinals and BRC-20 token, people will not care, just like how many DEFI and NFT scam out there. They only care with the hype and liquidity.

BRC-20 wouldn't destroy Bitcoin, but it make the true usage of Bitcoin e.g. as a currency, will be harder because it's not convenient to use it for daily transaction.

1215  Other / Meta / Re: Can one use AI to correct grammatical errors? on: May 05, 2023, 05:06:54 AM
The question that should be asked is whether or not the output would be detected by tools that are created to check whether or not AI has been used to create the content. I would suggest checking your outputs against zerogpt and similar services before making posts to prevent your content from being flagged as AI-created. I feel as though that this is a fine use-case for AI and posting, however it might conflict with those who are trying to detect AI-created posts. Do report back if you try this with your results.
It should be detected because AI or any spell checker websites will produce a well written in English.

My personal opinion, I don't think it's harmful to use AI or spell checker to correct your grammatical error or typos because the content or text is using your own ideas. What make many members against of AI usage is, the user didn't created anything and just let the AI to create the content or text for him which is no effort from him.

The problem raise if the tools is bad if they're correcting someone text by took someone article, which can be detected as plagiarism.
1216  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why Opening an Account in a Bitcoin Sportsbook is the Future of Sports Betting on: May 04, 2023, 07:27:08 AM
I am wondering why not just go for a signature campaign instead of this unprofessional means that he thinks will make people to know more about their site, but instead which may be harmful to the websites.
Because running a signature campaign will make them spend more money for marketing strategy, if they can do it for free, why they need to pay? Cheesy

But @OP didn't realized if this kind promoting will harm their reputation and people might avoid to use their casino, moreover their casino are controversial and don't have a good reputation when they're many casinos out there have better promotions, development and marketing strategy.
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 04, 2023, 07:16:46 AM
Brighton faces Manchester United tonight. The fixture is a replay of this season's FA Cup semi-final, where Brighton crashed out on penalties as Manchester United progressed to set up a Manchester derby in the final. Im sure Brighton would want to revenge and they have all the weapon to win this game. Manchester United have failed to win any of the top 7 teams away this season, so I see them dropping points against this Brighton team. A win over the Red Devils would see  Brighton into sixth in the Premier League as they continue their search for European football next season.
I have no idea why the bookie list Brighton is the favorite team and Manchester United is the underdog team, although their last match Brighton is dominating the ball possession and beat Wolverhampton with 6 goals, I still think Manchester United can win over Brighton.

Manchester United was previously beat Aston Villa, Aston Villa is a team where not losing for 5 matches. This mean, Manchester United can prove everyone if they able to beat Aston Villa when they're in good performance.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 04, 2023, 07:08:57 AM

Even though Chelsea is at the intersection of these sets I think that it is one of the clubs having the least chance to sign him. Because money wouldn't be enough to sign a striker like Osimhen now. I mean that especially while Napoli are in a much better condition than Chelsea in terms of achievements this season, it would be very tough for Chelsea to convince him. I would have thought the same if Chelsea were the only team interested in him.
Osimhen better to join Real Madrid because he will have a place when Benzema is already too old and lost his prime, Osimhen just need patient to become a substitute player when Benzema is still playing good in this year, maybe until the next 2 years.

If he join Chelsea, there's a chance he will be in the same path like Mykhaylo Mudryk where he haven't score for 12 matches. Although Mudryk isn't really a good player, but it's obvious pressure and coach involvement can affect the player's performance.
1219  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: May 04, 2023, 06:05:23 AM
Financial literacy has been taught in high school or university, so what's the problem? not everyone interested in cryptocurrency and many governments aren't friendly with cryptocurrency, it don't need to be introduced as a subject. But some universities had added cryptocurrency and blockchain subject from few years ago and still exist until right now.

That being said, it's important to approach trading with a cautious and disciplined approach, as the cryptocurrency market can be highly volatile and unpredictable.
Most people are lose in trading, I'd say it's better for people to learn about hard skill e.g. engineering, agriculture, accounting, etc than trading because not everyone are successful by learn trading.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: Shrinkflation on: May 04, 2023, 05:19:31 AM
Inflation makes everything rise, so might as well keep the original quantity and just increase the price.

Do you agree? How would you combat inflation if you were running a company?
Unfortunately most of people can accept quality or quantity downgrade rather than price increasing of the product because price is more sensitive for them. That's why people are more preferable to hold fiat even though the value is always decrease, rather than holding Bitcoin which the price will increase after super cycle.

If I were running a company, I would do same because downgrading the quality or quantity aren't crime, it's legal and one of business strategy.

This will make poor people can still buy my product, while a rich people they can buy more if they feel one isn't enough, so it's make affordable for any people.
