I down for new change swap coin Smiley

Does that mean you support for SFR2?

Yes sir.

However , where do we swap the coin on EX or from you ?

Not from the exchange. I will setup an address and a script will do it. We still have to discuss and work on this. We will let you know the details. Please give us a day's time.

DEv, Pls make a decision so we can move forward quickly. Anonymity and POS are qreat but first we need to resolve the coin algorithm issue and then construct a white paper so we again move forward in a structured way.

Please wait for a couple of more hours. I need to get more views from the community.

The coin algorithm issue can only be resolved with a new coin.

I will contact you in PM for discussing the white paper.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 10:30:37 AM
I am just worried about how the swap will be done as I am not a miner and I have no knowledge about mining but I bought SFR from bittrex.

You will have your new SFR2 address and you need 1 old SFR address.

In the wallet there will be an option to specify both these addresses and you need to send the coins from your old SFR address to a common SFR address that we will indicate.
Later, your new SFR2 will be sent to your new wallet.

We will issue the details once it has completely been decided to go through.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 10:26:07 AM
awaiting more details what to do :S

If you are a miner, you can continue mining on the new chain. All pools except Zeuspool are on the new chain.

Or else, you can wait a bit till we make a decision to go along with SFR2.

P.S. I am sorry that this is creating confusion for a lot of people, but we are trying to make the coin as cool as it can be. All problems have to be taken up as challenges.
We will do all we can do to get this coin to be one of the best out there.

why would u like to change?  why so many childish dev around ?
if SF2 still not so popular, do u want to change into SF3, and if again, no good,, try SF4 ?
OMG !
u need to delicate to what u started, not just switch when u come to hard times !

You have not understood what i have said. An existing coin cannot change its algo or include a new one.
If you do not want the new algos, then the current hardfork will just work fine with digishield and coin inflation checked.

It is not yet decided to go through with SFR2. We are keeping the possibilities open.

We will go with the majority.

I know the sound of a new coin would startle many but still we kept it as an option highlighting the features of it.

It is upto you to decide.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 09:51:20 AM
Most of the coins are just cashing in by announcing that they will implement anonymity, even if are able to implement current anonymity features available and leave some room for implementing new one planned by Devs , we will stand out from the crowd. These feature may sure make us get noticed but in long term developers hard work matters a lot and we have one of the best Devs.

Thanks Vipin. If we can work on the new type of anonymity soon, we would implement that otherwise we would implement the normal one and plan for improving it in the future.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 09:38:34 AM
Yes in a new coin, all the algos will work seamlessly. We will wait for a few more hours and confirmations to go through it.

We would make a PRE-ANN for SFR2.

We would also think of including anonymity. But since we do not have much time, i do not think we can implement a different kind of anonymity that we have planned.

We can swap to SF2 and use a webpage like eg. Lime-->LIMX
http://limecoin.org/?page_id=131

OR

We can keep the existing mining algorithms

That is exactly what i was talking about swapping. But instead of using a website, you can just swap using the wallet.
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 08:54:51 AM
If SFR can be swapped with SFR2 then I think it will be ok to launch a new coin, but I will prefer the new coin with features like anonymity and POS. There are many coins with these feature but our committed Dev team will help us be one of the best out there. If we get noticed earlier than we have more chances of becoming successful in future as we will have fair distribution.

That is a good point. If we get more positive views, then we can get working on it.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 08:46:56 AM
I had a automatic payout about 1500SFR from Zeuspool.
It doesn't arrived, i lost it or what?

What version is your wallet? Zeuspool is still using the old wallet. You will get your coins if you are using the old wallet v1.0.0.1 or v2.0.

It could also take some time for your coins to show up.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 08:36:58 AM
So what ? Should I close my pool ? I have some miners still mining there. If you decide we are not on the right blockchain, I should close it fast sot that miners do not waste their time.

You can close your X11 pool at present since it is not finding blocks.

Your other pools are on the new chain. The coins that your new miners are mining can be swapped for SFR2 if it has been decided.

Let us get the views from the community.

It is still not decided to go for SFR2. But, to add new algos it is necessary.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 07, 2014, 08:28:50 AM

What !!! changing the coin to a new coin because of a fork  Sad Big over reaction. Things will never be 100% fair for latecomers to a coin. We should just fix the problem best we can, make sure Bittrex and other exchanges are on correct fork and the Dev can confirm correct 'current block' so all eventually get on the right fork

So it seems that the "best" chain is not the latest. Majority of the miners are still mining on the old fork. Wonder where is the admin of Zeuspool. His pools have the highest hashrates.

Since having new algos included in between is creating problems, what we have thought right now is to shift all the new features into a new coin i.e. SaffronCoin2 (SFR2). That would also be quite fair to those that are new to this coin.

If you have held your old coins, you can swap it for the new Saffroncoins.

We would probably use X13 instead of X11 as the 4th algorithm.

Please do give your views on this.

With that the new algos won't work. I dug in to find the problem why the new algos were not able to find blocks. From studying other coins too, to change an algo or to add another, the entire coin has to be changed.

If people do not require the new algos, then everything else will work well provided all are on the latest chain.

Just checked, Bittrex haven't updated their client. But Comkort has.

Please send/withdraw very small amounts to check if these exchanges are on the latest chain otherwise you might end up losing many coins.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin X11|Scrypt|Blake HardFork June 6 on: June 06, 2014, 08:43:13 PM
Some nodes still haven't yet updated. We are having 2 chains now. That is causing problem with the algos.
