1201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The personality that promotes the humanity needed in our society. on: December 25, 2023, 07:27:57 PM
Mate, I don't agree with stereotyping humanity by saying it should begin with rich/wealthy or the ones who have more influence rather humanity should start with everyone and humanity is not something like tax or donation that one section of people should start it, infact humanity is the basic essence of life and it is very important to make this world more peaceful place to live.

I would say humanity is something which has to be passed down by elders to the kids when they are young and they should focus more on humanity and kindness just like they do in studies or work or business.
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 25, 2023, 07:09:24 PM
2023 has been a wonderful year when it comes to crypto as it allowed me to accumulate enough Bitcoins, highest since 2016 and I didn't incur huge loses though I lost some over futures trading but again breakeven was reached. The best practices I have started this year were DCA & also picking up very few altcoins post through research instead of going randomly.

I think this year had been wonderful for most of us.
1203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Could newbie ask their unsolved crypto related questions ? on: December 25, 2023, 06:51:49 PM
I see Churchillvv ha already shared some important links for the topics which will help you gain knowledge but to be honest nobody likes to go through it and this section is there for beginners to ask any doubts or questions and you will get appropriate response from the experiences users and I know sometimes people just redirect you to check before asking question hence any queries you have you may first search for it and see if you can find the topic else you can post your questions here.
1204  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 25, 2023, 06:36:32 PM
Thats a good graph, simple amalgamation across many years.   I think the conclusion we can easily realize resistance here is a fair one and the mirror of that is possibly a range with lower support around mid 30's to 40k could occur.
Lets be optimistic and say 40k for support, I have the 50 day average about there.   Staying above that measure still makes us strongly bullish like the early days of 2021 when there was alot of profit taking but still a good trend up intact.   If we havent even lost 42k in this week and the next then we arent even testing strength to that extent and I'd agree an attempt to surpass that resistance overhead becomes more probable and further gains and occur.   Maybe we stay bullish all the way upto halvening, I did not hope we'd be that positive tbh its often more complicated and testing.

I vouch the same though as I thought there would be some pull back or market correction this month but things seems to be positive as there was a slight fluctuation but we have recovered and still trending above $43K this is a good sign which gives us more confidence that market is going to stay upwards even till the halving. If it remains above $40k till halving then sure shot we will see new ATH, let's see what Bitcoin have in store for us.
1205  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain fiat Currency on: December 25, 2023, 06:21:28 PM
Don't confuse yourself by assuming that CBDC is decentralized it's just a digital money and acts the same way like fiat and there is no way government will come up with stuffs you have mentioned and it's not limited to African or Asian countries but throughout the world we will find corrupt politicians and corrupt government and there is no way in centralized ecosystem to control it and the answer is decentralization and making everything public but that's the reason they are against crypto. So this is something which might not happen.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Angry at the high fees? That's what everyone predicted the future will be like! on: December 25, 2023, 11:43:18 AM
My simple way to overcome all this is to use alternative coins. such as Litecoin and Tron which currently remain the mainstay for transactions. bitcoin and ethereum are already very expensive. this is very natural because they are both iconic coins of cryptocurrency. The age, fundamentals, community of these two coins cannot be doubted. Of course anything related to these two coins is definitely not cheap, of course this is because the miners continue to increase so they require high gas for each transaction.

Yes this helps and I do use Tron especially for quick an cheaper transfer and it works if you are making transfer from an exchange and for that purpose even USDT is good because you don't risk any fluctuations in that but if you have to make transactions in BTC only or if you have BTC in your wallet and needs to transfer BTC itself to others then there is no way of escaping either hefty transfer fee or slow transactions, both in some cases.

Merit is not required for securing your account as it's only the password which you need to keep it secure and your registered email address. Meri is required for you to grow in this forum through profile ranking as without merit you will not be able to rank up in this forum and without which you might not be able to join signature campaigns which helps us financially for advertising their projects.
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / BlockSafu - legit or scam? on: December 24, 2023, 11:21:52 AM
I have seen some bonus and offers for pre sales of a project named coinRexx and i did some research and couldn't find anything unique about this project but it was marketed as audited by BlockSafu which made me but suspicious as I haven't heard much about BlockSafu and then when I researched about BlockSafu I didn't get satisfactory outcome hence just wanted to check if you have any idea about BlockSafu because it looks like a shady auditing firm to me, I may be wrong hence checking with you all.
1209  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the us dollar might crash significantly on: December 24, 2023, 11:08:27 AM
This method is clearly not working out in favor of west hence they should adopt a different strategy and it's a loss to west that more countries might start getting alienated from USD. joe biden and whoever gives these non sense suggestions should understand that they are just increasing suffering of ordinary people by doing this and it would create create hatred amongst the mind of ordinary people and they are not causing any damage to Russian regime. Already were have seen so many failed sanctions and siege on Iranian front going harmless on the regime.
1210  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 24, 2023, 10:49:30 AM
have a budget or a limit in gambling is a MUST to avoid bad issues.
the second point it's also really important even if it appears to be too simple or obvious...
however this is one of my rules posted some years ago here

...
4° Take a pause between the bet session. Depends in your quality, but every 1-2 hours make a pause where you "breath again", take a look of the previously betting session, drink water Smiley etc....
...

people that doesn't understand discipline in gambling they are doomed to fail Sad

These are basics and regardless how much ever you educate there are people who will still be making same mistakes and the reason being the urge to become millionaire overnight and greed is the reason why people just bet consecutively and that too they go all in at every single time instead of planning it, I would relate this to margin trading where people make the same mistake every single time. Gambling can ruin your life and push you to greater debt if not done properly or if done without control.
1211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 24, 2023, 10:33:55 AM
Aside the fact that in order to enhanced trading performance, one should trade more to gain trading experiences. But overtrading is already another story. No one can benefit from overtrading, because not all the time that the market is beneficial to trade. There are times that the market is hard to deal with due to its uncertainty, but there are times too that the market is very pleasing to trade.

If you are a good trader, you know how to trade and when to trade, and overtrading is just never a good option.

Yes, it's all about the correct timing and a good trader should have very high level of patience and control emotions because trading is not like ATM card wherein you swipe in and get cash and I am aligned with the concept that overtrading creates more loss because you do over trading when there are hype or FOMO and when you have lost a t4ade you do repeated trades to recover the lost amount and that's when you go against the basic rules of trading like charts, technical indicators and that's when emotions takes better control over the strategy which results in loses often.
1212  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: New year resolution on: December 24, 2023, 09:54:22 AM
Not limited to Nigeria but globally people plan resolution for new year and as time goes by it starts fading as people make some unrealistic resolutions depending on their work and life balance. Let's say I work 12 to 14 hours a day and rest of time would be occupied for sleeping and family time I cannot have a resolution like I would go to gym or start an business or do part time job because my current schedule doesn't allow that rather my resolution should be planning on looking for a better job which gives me proper work life balance for me to indulge in other activities like gym or part time job or business because we need to consider resolution based on root cause of existing problem rather than overview.
1213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fear of December dump is fading away - for Bitcoin on: December 24, 2023, 08:57:55 AM

Perhaps you are still new to the world of the market, nothing is so specific or peculiar with the December market season with the way some people are taking it. I tried my best to refute so many claims over the last months, many are just naive about it as anything could happen, but it is good to expect nothing as a professional trader/investor. Let the market flow naturally and tell you want to do over time.

The best is to just talk to your trading chart and let it guide you as much as possible, and you should be vigilant with the fundamental analysis at the same time. With this both, I don't think the trader will miss out, but it is an ugly trend for traders/investors to be pre-convinced about what the market will do or let fear determine what they have to do, these are bad. Good traders will only act based on the present outcomes or speculations, but something must have triggered the speculation before they act or fear, not otherwise. Traders/investors should stop acting on rumours, cycles/history, emotions and beliefs, they should just be professional and only face reality and not shadows or emotions. And if at all the market has bad moments during December, that is why we have the speculation to tackle that for us and not let our trading/investment accounts be badly affected.

I am not new to market and everyone has a fear factor when it comes to investment or trading and this is something which I am more concerned. I know about the market dynamic and this post was to know about the opinion of other users if they have any such fear but not to judge me whether I am new to market or an expert.

No one can predict how crypto will work because there were so called experts who were speculating Bitcoin to reach $100k then it dropped under $5k so I am aware we cannot bank on any prediction or previous patterns as crypto is highly volatile.
1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling All Cryptocurrency for Fiat and Earning Interest? on: December 24, 2023, 08:01:23 AM
You know, if you have money in the bank, it's better to just convert it to Bitcoin and then hold it long-term for sure. After 1 year, it will be a big profit because, for sure, Bitcoin's price value will be high in the future that year.

Instead of what you said after talking about interest for a long time, it's better to dedicate it to holding Bitcoin; at least in this way, at this age, you will get something for sure.

Indeed, Bitcoin is way better than fiat on long term but we need to be prepared and make the investment at the right time else you need to hodl for longer period of time like more tha two or three years. We can consider that to bull run and bear run to understand if w invest at the peak of Bull run we may have to wait for longer period due to expected dump. Better to invest during bear run and wait.
1215  Economy / Speculation / Re: A big buying opportunity might be on the horizon on: December 24, 2023, 07:13:31 AM
The fact that the halving season is next year, whether the bitcoin ETF gets approved or not, doesn't change the already existing history of bitcoin price that it will increase than it has, months after the halving. However, if bitcoin ETF gets approved fine, if it doesn't, still fine. That won't change what is expected to happen for the ATH of bitcoin in 2024/2025,

Everyone is focused on what will happen next during the halving season rather than the bitcoin ETF because that event won't increase the value of bitcoin as much as the halving will (months later).

Yes I have noticed that people are more interested in halving  because that's what would trigger the bull run and possible new ATH. Spot Bitcoin ETF might get approved which would be good for Bitcoin and at the same time even if it's not approved it would have very limited impact on Bitcoin.

But one good thing is that it has created so much hype and given much needed boost to the crypto and Bitcoin market in general which has pooled in more investment.
1216  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The media is greatly influenced by big business. How do we know? on: December 23, 2023, 10:38:43 PM
Very true as meda has been sold old and infact run by big businesses and this is not something new this has been happening from a very long time and BBC is one of the best example of that. There were cases wherein independent media houses who are unbiased are often targetted by government agencies because big business and businessmen are the one who funds the elections and we have seen similar incidents in India on numerous occasions and recently there was a new channel who was unbiased and critical of a particular businessman who was corrupt and major financer for the ruling government and he ended up acquiring that media house anade it his puppet as a result it's most important and senior reporter quit the company.
1217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is leading crypto exchanges in 2024? on: December 23, 2023, 09:47:26 PM
Honestly, this is the first time I am hearing about this exchange named FMCPAY and how come this comes under list of world's largest crypto currency exchanges? There is a limit and separate section for marketing your exchange but your post is misleading as you are trying to include your exchange in the league of these big exchanges like Binance, Coinbase and OKX. This is not helping you in anyway and rather just tarnishing the image of your exchange.

I personally wouldn't even be bothered to check this exchange because when you can take shortcuts for marketing of your exchange then same logics might be used in operation of the exchange.
1218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fear of December dump is fading away - for Bitcoin on: December 23, 2023, 09:41:04 PM
To be honest with you,  I never expected Bitcoin to drop in price this December,  and rather I have always anticipated the possible increase in the price beyond what we have presently from the market and at such we should not expect what happened the last year or the year before to repeat itself because the Bitcoin market sentiment for both years has been very different,  in 2024 December the price of started appreciating in form of a recovery form and for that we can see the December sell-off having any effect on the price of bitcoin in a negative manner.

I think before the next Bitcoin halving,  it won't be easy for Bitcoin price to drop significantly,  and we may not see much significant price discount so for sure we will be seeing more uptrend movement which will signify a lot of positivity before the next halving and if that becomes the case,  then we may take longer before we see the next Bitcoin all-time price as expected all the while.

Let's hope for the same as this would be more beneficial for us and personally I have accumulated good amount of Bitcoin and I would get more profit if this happens. I was wrong this time to conclude that we will see same pattern every time just because we saw the dump pattern in the month of December couple of times. I think we will have an extended bullrun this time but still we cannot assure the same thing for altcoins until we get into proper bull market.
1219  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your take on this? on: December 23, 2023, 09:13:18 PM
I couldn't make any sense out of it because only someone who is currently living in Nigeria will be able to clarify the ground reality and reason for government to go back on their decision. But this was something which was due to happen and as they first try to threaten people from using Crypto and then imposes ban but still I see good amount of Nigerians in this forums using crypto, when they cannot control it they are revoking the ban and I feel their would be some strong reasons like to cover up some of their flaws or else they don't want to be left behind.

But as far as I have seen in news and heard stories about the kind of government which runs Nigeria I don't think they would be doing this for betterment of people but rather for their own benefit and hidden agenda.

Any Nigerian there to shed some more lights on this?
1220  Economy / Speculation / Fear of December dump is fading away - for Bitcoin on: December 23, 2023, 08:39:41 PM
As you might see in my previous posts and responses I have always considered the send half of December as a bad time for crypto because we had seen most of the bearish market starts from the end of December but this year it has been different as we have not seen any sign of bearish market till date though there has been minor fluctuations in the price of Bitcoin but it has not been more than 10% drop in Bitcoin.

I think we may not see any bear market this time due to the upcoming events like Bitcoin Halving & possible Spot Bitcoin ETF approval has leveraged enough investments flowing in and creating more demand which may subdue any larger price correction which could have occurred.

What's your opinion on current Bitcoin trend, will it continue the same way or we will go through the December nightmare once again?
