1201  Economy / Economics / Re: How do banks generate income? on: June 07, 2023, 08:11:55 PM
Heirs, children, wives or husbands are people trusted by the bank for funds from customers who have died. If the bank does not want to return the customer's funds to their heirs, then it is clear that they can be sued for a cunning plan.

Have you ever found a bank freeze the funds forever of dead customers while they have heirs?
I've honestly never heard of it, but banks aren't very trustworthy in certain cases. The reputation of the bank is bad, especially when people are familiar with the modern financial system which is called decentralization.

But can you atleast imagine a scenario where the heirs, children, wives etc are not aware that the deceased operates an account with a certain bank. Does the bank go around, finding a way to disburse su h money. Or atleast, after 5yrs, do banks make public some dormant accounts to verify if the account holders are still living?

Banks are dishonest, but I assume that anybody with large sums of money in their bank account will inform their lawyer, wife, or children about the status of their account and what to do when they are no longer in existence. However, it is the responsibility of the banks to locate the next of kin in order to have access to the deceased account and do whatever the will says, but I have seen a situation where the bank declares a person's account to be dead; banks are fraudulent organizations that cannot be trusted for one second; it is like putting your life on a ticking time bomb that could blow up at any time.
1202  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 07, 2023, 07:00:34 PM
One of the major reasons why bitcoin Enthusiasts hold bitcoin is in anticipation of a price increase that would increase the value of their asset. However, holding your bitcoin requires a patience mixed with strong will. It is the patience to be patient for a long period of time until the price makes a 10%, 20% and so on increase. Strong will not to use it to solve some immediate problem and risk a reduction in your asset. Consequently, not everyone one can wait that is why some decide to learn bitcoin trading so that they can make some quick profit that would also increase their asset holding. Some other become bitcoin lenders. Yes, they use either a centralized or decentralized platform to lend their bitcoin which would be repaid with interest. What is your honest take on bitcoin lending? Too risky, won't try it? Too risky, will give it a try?

To lend out an asset like bitcoin, what is going to be the collateral? I can't lend my Bitcoin just like that to anyone, lending don't have anything to do with one's reputation, there must be a collateralized asset for anyone to give out my Bitcoin to anyone; and for me to giveout bitcoin, I wouldn't take any altcoins for collateral, they are too risky for collateral because they can easily be liquidated when the market becomes too volatile.

However, with what I have seen in the Forum from lenders who give out bitcoin as loan to other members, it's a very profitable venture from the % profits I have seen in their profits, the profits may be little per individual but when combined as a whole, it's worth something big because they are accumulating more merit and when bullrun comes, they will earn from the profits they make too.
1203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Also Girls Should Be learned About Bitcoin on: June 06, 2023, 06:11:45 PM
My younger sister told me that how you bear your pocket money because dad doesn't give you much money without education fees. I told my sister that I have a little investment in Bitcoin and I am a short term trader (though the fund is little). She told that she learned about Bitcoin at her ICT related books. But she has not much knowledge about it. Then I tried to teach him the basics of Bitcoin. At last I succeed though there are enough information to learn by my sister. She told me that she is interested to be a Bitcoin user. And already she started to keep some money from daily pocket money and after that she will invest in Bitcoin. I told that not only you but also other girls should learn about Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. She told me that she will share her experience about Bitcoin with her college friends. I am now much happy by sharing with my younger sister about Bitcoin and will be more happy if she share information and teach other friends.

Dip down, if you check the forum, there are some females members that are interacting and enjoying the forum just the way you are here and they communicated effectively with good knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin, just that since the forum gives room for hidden identity, we cannot verify if some of the members that claimed to be female or not but I know they exist here and outside this forum. There is this lady that covers the update of Bitcoin on Coingecko too and also in MongoDB channels, we have them in different channels that know and understand Bitcoin very well.

Ladies are very inquisitive when they see things they haven't learned before, if your sister is interested, you should teach her the little you can and it's not a bad idea if you create her a Bitcoin forum account to interact with people here in the forum, it will ease her learning process.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud or Its Reality? BTC is Down Again on: June 06, 2023, 05:36:50 PM
Now, what will happen to the market, how down it will go? is there still room to go down or hitting $25k was the target?

You have said everything, but you should know that CZ, Sec, and all other centralized exchanges, in general, have crooks in their cycle, none of them says or do what they say to the public, and their interest comes first before anyone.

There is no way CZ will want to claim that in about 130 pages that were presented to them by the SEC, they cannot deny all the allegations in that paper even when it is obvious that the SEC is doing a witch hunt against Binance, the manner which they handle Binance wasn't the way they treated Coinbase, I wonder how it would have become of the market if it was international Binance that was involved in this case. Rest assured, they will settle in court and the worst they can do Binance.us and CZ is to fine him and the business will continue as usual as if nothing ever happen.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 06, 2023, 04:54:54 PM
Sweden has declared sex as a sport, and is set to launch its first tournament tagged "European sex Championship" on the 8th day of June, 2023, this means it's about 4 days left until the tournament begin?

We all can read the details on - https://m.timesofindia.com/life-style/relationships/love-sex/in-sweden-sex-is-now-a-sport-first-european-sex-championship-to-be-held-soon/amp_articleshow/100720445.cms

You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?

Lets have some serious and healthy discussion here..

What is the world now turning into? Are we now in the stage of life to start doing analysis on the reproductive system and sex to earn money, where is the shame? I'm supposed to answer your question but this is out of line, gambling is already eating the society with addictions in one way or the other but this should be the last thing to be tolerated in society, I mean look at the pornography industry today, many teenagers are fighting to live that, shouldn't the government blocking such events from the society. No matter the attention this sport event or whatever they called it have, it wouldn't get a penny from me and I wouldn't earn a single thing from them.
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 06, 2023, 04:36:13 PM
Depression caused by gambling addiction and not having someone to turn to can cause suicide and this is what actually happens to the guy in the story he has a weak personality and he is secretive and an introvert.
Gambling addiction, depression, and having a weak character will contribute to suicide if only he can open up and there's someone he could talk to, this could have been prevented, so if you know someone who has a gambling addiction, do check his character if he can move on from big losses.

Some people are weak vessels by nature and it is not everyone that is introverted, the guy in question was frustrated with another aspect of life to have his life taken the hard way, I don't think gambling was the only reason why he took his own life. The gambler in question is a student that attends one of the polytechnic schools in Nigeria, that is a public school whose seasonal school fee will not exceed $150 at the state and federal level, so if he must gamble his money and that of his friend, that shouldn't exceed $300 at most; Now tell me, which sensible adult will take his life for that amount except maybe there is additional information the media is not giving the public, gambling addiction, and suicidal thought often result from excess losses but this story is not clear.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 06, 2023, 04:20:45 PM
The only way gambling can be a safe haven is when you are the owner of the gambling service. LOL.
NOBODY should treat gambling as a way of income because it is not an income source. People majorly gamble for fun and entertainment.
Although there are some who gamble for profits but even they realize at some point that gambling can never become a stable source of income.

Op description is obvious in the manner that it is sending a message to the bettors and not the gambling ventures, never in the history of gambling I have seen gambling ventures run down just the way the players get rost on a daily basis, they are always the one at the receiving side that usually make the money, the ones that use to fell down are the ones that don't set their goals well enough or maybe when the team formations crumble at the end.

If we traced down the rate at which there is an increase in gambling addiction is unemployment and they, of course, vary from country, the last time I check unemployment in each country, the level of crimes in those countries that are higher in the highest percentages than the ones with the lower ones, and the same go with gambling addictions in various countries, it is the government responsibility to reduce the rate of gambling addiction by creating jobs for the people.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 05, 2023, 10:14:21 PM
In this Champions League final match we will see both teams score. But Manchester City is obviously going to be a lot more ruthless compared to Inter. My prediction the result is going to be a 3-1 win for Manchester City. All of us are expecting Manchester City to win this match. I just hope that Manchester City do not take this match lightly at all. After all, this is the final of the Champions League competition. Both of the teams are in the finals because they deserve to be. The only way Manchester City is going to lose this match is if they underestimate their opponent.

I have seen predictions of Manchester City to win Inter by 3 goals to 1 but with what Inter displayed in their last match against Torino in Seria A, you will want to have a reevaluation of Inter with Manchester City. Torino didn't win the match because they couldn't convert their chances but the shorts and short on target that they had, if Manchester City should have that chance, they will finish Inter without room to equalize any goals they scored them, Lukaku's body was heavy when as if they didn't need the last match because they were below Milan and it was after the match they went ahead of standing with 3 points; if they repeat that mistake with Manchester City, it is going to be a finished season for them in Champions League.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: June 05, 2023, 09:28:39 PM
honestly some ads could be as weird as launching you into their content without even waiting for you to click on them, thry usually comes along while you're opening a website opened together, though I've also seen some YouTube ads that will demand you to skip them after 5 seconds which they would have advertised their content as well using your own data.

I actually do face such a challenge on a few sites I browse, and it becomes so difficult to browse efficiently in  such sites on mobile because the ads pop up and automatically open a site for the advertisement, like it does on my phone. Sometimes, too, if it's an app ads that pops up, it will automatically open the Play Store, totally distrusting what I am browsing. Some ads have a cancellation button after a few seconds when the advertisement completes, but some ads don't show a cancellation button at all, especially if you are operating from a mobile phone. If it's on Windows, the ads can automatically open up a new tab from your browser, and everything will also be visible, but on Android, some ad cancellation buttons are hidden.

Those websites are typically hosted on WordPress and often rely heavily on plugins, which can contribute to their erratic behavior. These plugins often contain JavaScript programs with conditional statements that prompt users to click certain elements, without which the website may not respond as intended. To counter this behavior, ad blockers are highly effective. I personally recommend using the Brave browser, as it is user-friendly and helps minimize unwanted gambling ads. However, you should know that certain websites may detect when your adblocker is active and restrict access to their content, they employ various signals to detect adblocker activity.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which League Makes Sports Betting Easy to Win? on: June 05, 2023, 08:54:50 PM
A tipster on one of the social media platforms advised his hundreds of followers that making money from sports betting is easier if they stop betting on European Football, which has just concluded, and focus on the Singaporean leagues, South American Leagues, and the Scandinavian leagues. Although some of his followers agreed that they've won some bets in those leagues, they also cautioned that there is a huge likelihood of match fixing occurring there as well. So everyone should be careful. I have never bet on those leagues as I am too careful. Can anyone share their experience with betting in these other leagues and make a comparison between betting there and betting in the Champions League, EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie Do not mention match fixing(it has been earlier pointed out), but talk about which is easier to win in and how much you made in comparison.

There is a difference between leagues that fix matches and professional leagues that doesn't have time for such madness, and in fact, fixed matches are few if you count them and most of them used to lack attention unlike in the popular leagues you mentioned, where players as well are forbidden to stake games on their leagues that is why I like Europeand and other reputable leagues.

The thing with Sports betting with teams with ease to win lies in your professionalism and your experience, there are people that make millions from Europa, Premier, and Champions League and that is because they are experienced, they have been here for many years and that is what has helped them win even when people complain that Premier League and Champions League is very hard to predict, they will also be people that do win no matter what. Gambling depends on luck, timing, experience, and dedication, that is my understanding of sports betting.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 05, 2023, 08:41:25 PM
Real Madrid have been one of the busiest teams in the transfer market to strengthen their squad for next season, their failures in La Liga and the Champions League this season were valuable lessons for Perez. Eden Hazard, Mariano Diaz, Asensio and Benzema have been released by Real Madrid, they need to find better replacements from players who have recently parted ways with different statuses to compete again with Barcelona in the fight for the La Liga trophy. Even though some of the names discarded by Real Madrid were not the main players in their squad, Real Madrid needed to find new, more powerful players to provide competition in their squad.

Real Madrid, being one of the most valuable clubs in the world, wouldn't face financial constraints if they decide to seek a replacement player. However, my main concern lies in finding a suitable replacement for the striker position. It may seem relatively easier to find replacements for other positions, but finding a top-quality striker can be challenging because many clubs from different leagues are actively pursuing strikers too, and players like Kane are commanding significant attention in the market, my problem with him is that his price tag is quite high but this can be understood considering his contributions to Tottenham, it is perplexing why he is taking his time to make a decision regarding his future with Real Madrid.
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 05, 2023, 06:40:44 PM
Yep reportedly Newcastle will target several new players in the transfer window obviously they want to prove that they deserve to compete in the top 4 Premier League and even the Champions League, Eddie Howe wants to strengthen in the defense Kieran Tierney is one of their targets besides that the attacker is also a concern rumors Joao Félix may be on their target list it's just that this will not be easy because Atletico Madrid set a high price but yeh anything can happen because Newcastle has a considerable fund.

Rumors of Joao Felix seem to be growing, Atletico Madrid are reported to be lending Joao Felix to Newcastle United because they need players to face several competitions next season including the Champions League. However, Newcastle coach Eddie Howe said his club would not be offering big salaries to players that would make it difficult for them to sign the best players.
Meanwhile, the highest salary at Newcastle United is currently held by Kieran Trippier, Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes, who each pocket 6.5 million pounds per season and that will be the maximum salary that Joao Felix will get if he is positively loaned out by Atletico. Madrid.

If Joao Felix is considered so valuable to other clubs that are struggling to win leagues and have faith in his abilities, why don't they utilize him for their own team's success in domestic leagues and the Champions League? Since joining the club in 2019, Atletico Madrid has only managed to secure a single La Liga trophy, and since then, they haven't added any more trophies to their collection, it seems to me that there has been a lot of hype surrounding Joao Felix, but the actual results have not lived up to expectations.

Another possible reason why I think Atletic decide to continue being loaned Joao Felix to different clubs is the financial benefit that Atletico Madrid gains from these deals. For instance, in the transfer deal with Chelsea for just half a season, Atletico earned a significant amount of $16 million without having to give anything in return. If this was only for a partial season, one can imagine the potential earnings from a complete season deal.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 04, 2023, 10:08:34 PM
The very fact that they have gained such strength makes it clear that victory is likely to be theirs. I think even Inter are well aware of that, but just hope they have a chance... We'll see, there's basically a week left, the whole world will be standing on its ears from such an event, then another week to get used to it Grin

If they actually watched Manchester United with Manchester City match, they would know better except if they want to be bias and choose to  be blind to still support Iner to win this league, that is a dream I think Inter will see but would be hard to realize it in real life. Yesterday, Manchester City didn't struggle yesterday, no pressure, it was as if they are having a regular match and yet they won; I know it's because they don't want to sustain injury because the of this match but now imagine if they are playing in the final, Inter will see the real identify of Manchester city because the pitch is going to be under Siege and it will be nice to see Guardiola win Champions League for Manchester City this season.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 04, 2023, 09:43:32 PM
Manchester City are soaring high in flying colors this year, one more final to be won to cap it all with a treble for City and Guardiola. They have indeed been very lucky this season with injuries and other players stepping up in crucial games when the key players fail to seize the spot light. Against Real Madrid we saw Bernado Silva stepping up and yesterday Gundogan taking the stage, it's amazing how everything has been working in their favour this year.

One of the most stubborn coach Manchester City has had is Pep, I didn't get expect to see De Bruyne and Haaland in that final because eof fear of injuries but he let them play complete 90 minutes with confidence not until 70+ before he later make substitution for De Bruyne, and I believe the same players will be going for the Champions League, there ball strategy and winnings need to be study because what we are used to see Championship is winning a domestic league and other big leagues but Manchester City seems to have bagged known difficult leagues that we know.

I don't want Haaland to be the next Ballon D'or guy but I hope it wouldn't be tagged as "cheat" when Manchester City win the Champions League and they give it to Messi for winning just the World Cup and France domestic league, they should let the new Champions competite instead of the old guys we are use to every season.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 04, 2023, 09:09:57 PM
The match between Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao did end in a draw. Neither team was able to score after the penalty from Benzema. With this Real Madrid is finishing the season being on the second position of the table. They have 10 point difference with Barcelona right now who are at the top of the table and still have one match left. I am very interested to see how the Real Madrid team is going to look like in the next season. They are going to be big changes in the team as we already know.

Real Madrid didn't spend much this season and I believe what gave them that courage was how they performed last season, they think they didn't need many players in this season that just ended and everything they worked for collapsed as if they weren't the ones that lifted the 2022 Champions League and Laliga, this season was all struggle for them in most of the leagues they found themself, but seeing how players are leaving, Ancelotti will definitely break that bag this time and buy good players that will manifest next season for Real Madrid.

Quote
It is sad to see a player like Benzema who has been with the Real Madrid squad for a long time leave the team. This is definitely going to be his last goal for Real Madrid.

I'm not sad that Benzema left Real Madrid, he should have left last year after the Balon D'or celebration but this season was as if last season was for nothing. He should go to Saudi Arabia and play for money and retire in peace when the time is right, no serious bid will come from England, Spain, or Italy, except if he is ready to settle for less.
1216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Asic miner, No Bitcoin mining on: June 01, 2023, 06:46:04 PM
I believe I also had an experience back then before I came to this forum to learn more.

I don't know if you have heard about a mobile app that claim you can mine and earn passively just by using their app and their VPN, I think the name was Cryptotab Or Cryptotap i can't recall the name vividly anymore... What even gave me hope that I could mine successfully from the app was due to some YouTube videos I watch teaching me how to increase my earnings through the site by combining phones.

I later left the site after realizing what I was doing was stupid, That was not the only cloud mining I participated in I also did some that claimed they had their headquarter somewhere and all I was needed to do was just to sign into my account and click on a certain button to start mining and if I wanted to increase my earnings I would have to pay a certain amount (they all claimed this though). I reall wasted alot of my time doing these things before I finally realised my foolishness.

Knowledge can achieve anywhere but if you don't know the real place to get correct one, it becomes expensive and that is why the illiterate suffer for it but glad you found the forum for the right information. You see this mining of a thing, I saw some couple of guys that were discussing about cloud mining business and how a anonymous bitcoin mining plan to help them start their own mining without leaving their comfort zone, I tried everything to convince them that the cloud mining business is a scam but they never listen, they were eager and ready to make quick money as it was there first time to start bitcoin business.

That was how they lost everything and they couldn't trace the anonymous bitcoin mining, even when they lost their money, they were first at denial stage, it took them month before they finaly agreed that their money is gone for good, they didn't understand how mining works in bitcoin and that is what some people still don't understand till today.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price is always affected by world market news, why ??? on: June 01, 2023, 06:25:41 PM
I have been in the market since 2018. The paradox I find is
The market is always changing according to world news. It has nothing to do with bitcoin
For a small investor like me, this is undesirable
I want to ask experienced investors?? How can you capture this potential market?

I think this relationship started during the Corona period when Bitcoin and the world market( stock and bonds) crashes and attention was all there in the world market since the world was expecting everything to be fine after the lockdown and when the market started bouncing back, bitcoin follow and that was how everything began, bitcoin market became correlated with anything that comes out of the stocks and bonds if the Fed decides to increase the interest rate, those actions affect bitcoin too because of the reactions of the stock and when vice versa, they also react to the market.

One thing you should understand about bitcoin is this, on the short-term level, bitcoin may be correlated with the traditional market but don't forget that Bitcoin has its own macro factors that push its own price, those factors like the Halving that happen every four years is what we look forward on the impact of bitcoin price.
1218  Other / Meta / Re: Can you create animated signatures here? on: June 01, 2023, 05:51:31 PM
Is it possible?

Edit:

You can make it a little longer and tell us why you want to know that.

Hero-Legendary rank member signatures tend to be same as far as most as most sign campaigns go. If animated signatures were to be possible, it should be available for legendary members to make the distinction between the two ranks. I'm interested in creativity signature creators will bring in as well.

I believe animated ads have a bright future, but the forum should take into account the eyesight of many, as some people are bothered by animated images unless they are wearing eyeglasses, and some people work on their laptops for extended periods of time without wearing eyeglasses. Another issue I see with these animated signatures is that each manager will want to customize the opacity, contrast, and brightness the way they see fit,  and it can become a challenge for other signatures when there is a company that has more exposure than their own except if the forum is ready to lay down a rule for the general design of animated signature for the forum.

There are many things that make someone to participate actively in the bitcointalk, and everyone actively involve in one thing or the  the other. The following are some of the Immune Boosters in the forum.
    • Merit
the day I got my one merit, I was excited to participate more and today I am active to some extent and likewise to some newbies who received their first merit in the forum and the excitement that follows.
    • Investment
I might make a mistake on it, I am thinking that it is the highest because most bitcoiners are here to discuss their investment on bitcoin both on the bear and the bull market in the forum. The forum gave them update on all movement from different boards. And this forum nwas created because of bitcoin so any other thing is added onto it.
    • Signature Campaign
this is one of the immune booster where users participate to get extra bitcoin and add it to their investment.
    [/list]
If not the above energy boosters in the forum, many users would have used their energy in another profitable platforms or using here as a chatroom. Is there any other energy or immune booster?

That are not the only immune boosters the forum have, did you check the marketplace where people buy and sell goods, did you also check the games and round where people make predictions and win bitcoin for free, have you checked the bounty and altcoins board because more than half population of the newbies are all centered in those boards, they love anything that has to do with free money and there free small airdrop of $$ that they earn from there, so I think it is worth a review with your conclusion, you should also check the gambling board where people follow betting companies for bonus and events for betting.
1220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am Never going to Leave this Forum no Matter What on: June 01, 2023, 05:25:35 PM
I read about a user I think the name is Lauda who left the forum some time ago. I must confess that this forum has been so helpful to me. I have become bitcoin conscious and I discover that I have things to chip in about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies whenever friends are talking about it. And when I mean something to chip I mean I more than just the name of the founder of bitcoin, the year it was founded etc but the things kike the current events, security, wallets, mixers, and a little bit of technical stuff.

I know some persons may say that I can still get this somewhere else, I know. I am trying to say is that my awareness has increase as a result of association here. I don't think I am never going to leave this forum no matter what. What about you ? Can there be anything (assuming you did not break any of the rules) that will make you leave the forum or not?

This is a forum and it is dedicated to discussion related to Bitcoin and any other relations of crypto, there are thousands of other people out there that are into crypto and have never for once visited this forum, you maybe surprise but they are all out there on Twitter as maximals who cherish crypto, you see why been on the forum is a thing of choice and not a do or die stuff, it is just a talk platform where everyone share their opinion and understanding of the space. Lauda perhaps in the past was ones an influential and respected person in this forum but I don't think he is obligated to stay online forever, Satoshi left bitcoin in the hands of the people he trusted that could continue the journey of bitcoin and nobody hate him for his disappearance, I think that already justify my explanations.
