1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Setup from big Whales on: March 12, 2023, 08:39:36 AM
Good evening dear bitcoin community.

How do you think the big whales like Michael Saylors secure their bitcoins?

Do you think he also runs his own full node using HWW and MultiSig wallets. Cheesy

I would be interested to know what you think what their setup could look like.

Best regards

here some ideas may whales use to store or record their coins in wallets,

first of all ofcourse they will store in cold wallet, or many cold wallets,
setup: to keeping the cold wallet safe for long term , like keeping at required temperature, keeping at shake proof place , and very strong container to protect from earthquake like events, transfering to different (new cold wallet) wallet every sometimes like a year or 2 year to protect the wallet from damage.(it seems like kids advice.)
1202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why it's very boring to trade on public holiday's? on: March 12, 2023, 08:12:23 AM
I trade bitcoin regularly,
my trading style is scalping sometimes, when i trade on regular days like monday to friday, it nice big candles forms, really very enjoying moment
like this: https://ibb.co/Syqzwxc

and trading on holidays like saturday and sunday, it become very boring day, there are very small candles forms, and very low profit or no profit at that day.
like this: https://ibb.co/jVFq39F

my question is why this difference in candles ,
my possible reasons are because insitutional traders are on holiday's or all traders are on holiday at that day,but financialcrypto markets are never on holidays.
share your thoughts why this candle differences, and very low volume.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 12, 2023, 06:35:35 AM

But then he asked me' bro assuming I had gathered all these money I have lost through gambling and channeled it into some sort of a little business or project, wouldn't it have been better!  At that moment I never knew the exact word to give to him as I never expected such deep a question, for the least I replied him was "hmm I can't really say".
this happened with me  many time, i lost money in gambling after all i decided to run an ad campaign for my business by saving the money i lose in gambling, by which i can get more sells per month, and it worked i got 15% to 20% more sells than previous month,
money i saved without wasting in gambling and investing in business earned me , i can go to a trip with my family.
in gambling we can earn money so fast and that money also go so fast,
and if you have money that you are willing to waste or lose, because you definitely gamble for fun(you know you play for fun or.....)
gambling with some reasonable amount is very entertaining, may be one time we got lucky and win a big sum of money, but most commonly many will always lose.

1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bolt driver experience: promoting bitcoin in my business on: March 11, 2023, 06:36:58 PM

Hello guys! I felt I should share my little success with you in receiving my first bitcoin payment in my business. Well... I have a car which I used for Bolt (Taxify) as my side hustle whenever am free from my work. I've stumbled on a couple of topics of some members on this forum promoting mass adoption of bitcoin by accepting it in their businesses. Since then I've been nursing this idea and at the same time I've been having cold feet. I accept payment for my services in fiat currency or bank transfer, but with the naira redesign in my country, the new notes have really not circulated everywhere and it's been making life a living hell for a lot persons. So I said to myself this is the right time to add another means of payment to my business.

I got some bitcoin stickers and for my car and It's been about two weeks since I displayed it and no one has patronize me in bitcoin. Though, some of my passengers see it and engage me in one or two conversation. Today, I carried a passenger and when he saw the stickers and was like do you accept bitcoin and I said yes and he said do you know you are the first bolt driver I have actually seen accepting bitcoin and I smiled. He asked me if I have actually received any payment in bitcoin and I answered not yet, and he said I will be your first customer to pay you in bitcoin. We talked a lot during the trip and our discussion was mainly centered on cryptocurrency, mass adoption, crypto ban in the country. At the end of the trip, he paid me in bitcoin with additional tip and I felt really happy about it. I know this is little but I hope it would help to promote mass adoption of bitcoin in my locality, the nation and passes a message to people out there that bitcoin is here to stay and all we can do is to embrace it and be part of history.

Don't get me wrong here, just trying to become a detective,
are you not trying to become smart, to get merits OP? (may, i trying to become smart)
you said i have a car, in which you sticked the stickers , but in images you shared 3 different cars with different stickers.

here your sticker says: "pay your ride in bitcoin"
IMG: https://ibb.co/0cF3Ks3

here your sticker says : "make your payments in bitcoin"
IMG: https://ibb.co/Dkn2LRr

here your sticker says : "      "
IMG: https://ibb.co/k8bLTP5

and the OP is driver of bolt not owner of bolt so he have only one car, just the pictures are taken from other areas or downloaded from internet.
nice trick some members of forum are using, no?
Op is surely talking about only one car ,

Maybe i am a newbie detective.(forgive me if this is mistake)

OP has well tried to become the smartest.

1205  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 11, 2023, 05:57:51 PM
We all know the quote "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer"
This is best quote in finance, also famous for rich dad and poor dad book.
Quote
Is it that the rich have already wealth the day they are born?
many wealthy people are born into wealth , or have access to resources and opportunities that allow them to accumulate wealth more easily than others. However, it is important to note that not all wealthy indivisual inherit their wealth, and many have worked hard and made smart financial decisions to attain their wealth.
Quote
why the the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
becuase, those with more wealth and resources have greater access to opportunities and resources that allow them to accumulate even more wealth, while those with less resources often struggle to acquire wealth and may experience a range of negative outcomes as a result.
people who are poor, they can be wealthy if they want to be by working hard, learning, buying bitcoin Grin Grin ,etc.

Reddit is overrated, too noisy and messy, so many extra stuff which only distract you. This forum is the home of bitcoin, we are kind of a family with satoshi as the founder of this home.

also, reddit have very confusing layout, with lot of irrelevant stuff, people only comment like this yes,i love it, fu*k you, this is my favourite,me too, etc , no learning comments,
bitcointalk is my first ever forum is made an account, I don't know very much about other forums so i made this thread.

I like to suggest you some designing stuffs, problems from my point of  view,

trust dice have very often loading problems, in brave browser- i think lot of bitcointalk users use brave for privacy.
like this: https://ibb.co/ygRnRCK

Trust dice crash game is like boring to play , i like crash game when lot of people play like 100, 200 with big amount
but works fine , may you not have many members who are interested in crash game,
at this time there are only 5 members , with small amount like cents.
like this: https://ibb.co/sJmp4PK

chat room is not working at this time, maybe not many people are chatting or some bug is there,
but i don't like chatting while playing, may other like,
here you can see chatroom have no chatting and i sent messages which are not showing here.
https://ibb.co/xCb6X7N

in chrome browser trustdice runs or slips like butter ,

may you are not agree to change color from pink to black but i like black or grey minimalist interface ,
you can run a vote campaign to know which color they like,
https://ibb.co/3Yc49mm

confusing bonuses , mining TXT tokens, faucets, etc

I will suggest you to run an vote campaign by giving some small amount of tokens to users, so they give you genuine feedback, and change everything according to them.

1211  Bitcoin / Legal / Kristi Noem excludes crypto currency from definition of money. on: March 11, 2023, 09:29:47 AM
Here i recelntly read this news on cointelegraph ,
noem says,
“By expressly excluding cryptocurrencies as money, it would become more difficult to use cryptocurrency,” said Noem. “HB 1993 opens the door to the risk that the federal government could more easily adopt a CBDC, which then may become the only viable digital currency. [...] It would be imprudent to create regulations governing something that does not yet exist.”

i doesn't understand whole article so i copied , is this a big problem that we can only able to use digital CBDC?
please anyone break down this news to be able to understand.

Best regards

there are many whales, accumulated billions of dollars in bitcoin,
some of the whales store their coins in hardware wallet or cold wallet (ofcourse) , also may be in multi sig wallets,
https://ibb.co/1JzHyJg
here you can see the biggest whales store all their bags in one cold wallet, some of them are exchanges wallet and some are personal cold wallet, it is riskier to store all your bags in one cave,
and many of them stores them in many wallets , maybe they are cold wallet or digital wallet ,
many of whales hold lot of bitcoins but i don't know why they store in many wallets, you can see here, https://ibb.co/WWwbsN4
there are lot of coin in individual wallets with specific amount of coins,
maybe be they store like this, because of security purpose or to hide their funds from blockchain(why anyone will hide from public may be i am wrong Huh)
you may think that they are listed in order so the wallets have same amount of funds, but they are have only one transaction, and
many of them are created in same date or the owner of the wallets make an new wallets everytime he or they DCA,
you can research on bitinfochart
1213  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 10, 2023, 07:27:55 PM
We really like to play gambling online , and there are lot of crypto gambling sites out there ,
many times i doubted the provably fair system,  that these casinos are cheating me, but what can i do ,
i come across this YouTube video that a biggest gambling site supervisor telling the truth about these sites,
that they analyze our bets and try to make us lose ,
what are your thoughts ,
i know provably system but many times i doubted it, i don't know this person is talking about crypto gambling or not but may be it also applies in crypto gambling.
most of you also may doubted the casino ,
video:https://youtu.be/ABj7peI_R2M

Yes, of course in the end house will win. This is how the games or gambling platforms are built. But you have to choose the trusted one to get more fairness. A lot of trusted gambling platforms are promoting them in this forum, you can choose one of them.

On the other hand you can play live games , basically the live blackjack which is much fair I think.

yes, i like live games more than provably fair , i don't know why but every time in the end i definetly lose in provably fair,
in live games we can control emotions and we can think our next move in the next round timing.(means while playing provably fair like crash or keno we doesn't have time to think what will be our next move. like increasing the bet or decreasing the bet, doubling bet, etc., and in live games there is some seconds of time runs, in that time we can think about our next bet , that we need to increase the bet amount or decrease.and we can try to control our emotions)

1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin fall below $20000 , it's a messy thread. on: March 10, 2023, 07:36:21 AM

The good news is that the effects of it is becoming less and less, specially since bitcoin at the end of the day is still a hedge against inflation and we are also seeing inflation. Additionally bitcoin has the only market that is known for not having any correlations with any other market. This makes it an excellent choice at times of economical turmoil.

maybe i am wrong,
but BTC corelated with USA Indexes like S&P 500,nasdaq,etc

when i trade for short term this type of dramatic big red and green candles give me so thrilling experience,(when the trade is going in my way also in opposite and also when i m not in that trade  Grin Grin Grin)
many of you who trade experienced it no? it's also like gambling thrill but here we can control our loses in gambling all our funds are at risk. for fun and entertainment trading is boring because we need to wait for patterns.
what are your thoughts is it good news : bitcoin dropped below $20000 , or bad news
for me it's good news(not news, event) because i can accumulate more on discount .
oh, it became messy thread, no worry(why you will worry) you can reply by quoting lines.

1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ponzi Schemes - People are confused. on: March 09, 2023, 03:44:08 PM
I watch a popular breakfast show every morning and they always have a section where they talk about money matters. Yesterday, they talked about Crypto currencies and the guest mentioned several Ponzi schemes where Bitcoin was used as a payment option.

These Ponzi schemes collapsed and according to him ....many people lost money in Bitcoin. They have a WhatsApp group for the program and I immediately corrected that statement, because people did not lose money in Bitcoin.... they lost money in a Ponzi scheme that used Bitcoin as a payment option.

Now, this does not sound very important, but it actually are one of the most critical things that needs to be addressed. We should counter all of these misinformed people, with education on what Bitcoin is, because they lose money on Ponzi schemes and then they blame it on Bitcoin.

every person listen to people who have most followers (not social media followers) like celebrities, big investors like warren buffeet, etc. if they said that bitcoin is crap than everyone think that it is absolutely crap and then it's impossible to change their mind, also possible in some cases, like in my case i regularly listened to a  well known social media influencer one day he talked about bitcoin, that bitcoin have no base it is just an another shitty kind of token, app.
then i listen to him my mind became antibitcoiner i was telling others that crypto and bitcoin are another like ponzi scheme, many people investing in it like dumb to make money.
then after 8months I come across cryptocurrency, that time i was became something kind of thinker who thinks a lot , so i researched about it and today i am here .
what we can do? we can try to educate people who thinks bitcoin is another ponzi scheme.
1220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 09, 2023, 02:40:14 PM
A thought came over me while spending my BTC. Although I was wondering if members have had that experience and  too  how others would feel about it hence this topic. Now here was what happened. I had an emergency which requires an urgent attention and it involves funds. I had no option than  to get the funds immediately as the payment I was expecting has no yet been credited to my account I had no option at that moment than to fall back to my bitcoin and what touched me most was that the market was red and It was obvious I had to sell to sort out the urgency at hand. While doing that, there was this feelings I had then as a result of the red market as at the time I was doing the transaction . I was just having that thought over me then and wishing the market could just boom immediately so I could only release just a small fraction of my BTC to sort out things then and another was that I could just receive my much awaited alert so I could stop the BTC transaction immediately. You know that feelings that comes when you want to do something you really do not have plans doing immediately maybe you have plans for it in the future and all of a suden an emergency comes up which would force you to do the needful. I had that feelings and it was real and really devastating at that very moment.
If you have had such experience, how was it like?

this was happened with me , I invested in bull market then in the beginning of bear market the market fall by 30% at the same time an emergency came out and i need to sell my most of the crypto to clear that emergency i was feeling that, now the price is very low i would not get money what i invested in the beginning but i sold it at 30% discount for me for that emergency .

but from this i learned lesson:
1. Save money in fiat for emergency in bank account, which will help you in emergency like health, etc.
2. always invest keeping in mind that the invested fund will not be withdrawn till 5 years , means always think of long term in case of crypto.
