1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 22, 2017, 05:02:11 AM
I want to setup limits for my self in order to avoid losing alot of money and losing the money i already make. being a greedy when playing gambling will take your bitcoin at risk just chill your mind first before going on a gambling. ive been a gambler for a long time thats why im planning to make some limits like hours of play and hours when i will stop.

If you already experienced gambler, then you should know that no way we can make money from gambling in the long run. So if possible avoid gambling every day then only you can reduce your losses in the gambling. Find some other activities to do during your free time, and that will help you in limiting your losses from gambling.
i think that should be the general rule that everyone should know, knowing and understanding that you can never or the chances are very slim to profit in the long run. It's better to prevent it rather than a cure.

Everything we do in excess almost always ends up badly so setting limits would be a very good way especially if you enjoy gambling that much. It helps you monitor your losses or gains and plan for next sessions. Though it's really not enough to just set up limits if you don't adhere to thise limits that you set for yourself. Avoid getting yourself too carried away and make sure that you stop when you reach your set limit in order for it to count
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: July 22, 2017, 04:58:12 AM
I really think so. Gambling is pretty profitable for me, I have to say. I play some online slots from http://moneyonlineslots.com/online-slots/ and I have been playing them for a couple of months. I have earn some pretty nice money from there so far and it is great. Of course, I can't be sure that it will be like this in the future, but anyway
Be careful, slot machines have some of the worst odds in real casinos and I do not have reasons to think that it is any different on online slot machines, your results will not continue be happy with what you got and now find other things to do to get earnings.

The highest odds for all games however if it is only for fun then it is the best game that you can play. It is fun and alot of people enjoy it especially that it has jackpot which makes the game much more interesting. If it is for purpose of making money then we are not supposed to play it because higher house edge means easier to lose
To each his own I guess, I have never liked slot machines I like games where I need to outsmart an opponent, if that factor is not there then I’m not really interested in the game, so to me all variations of poker and even blackjack are the most entertaining games.

It would be pretty good for anyone right now so far but as with any gambling games, it's never for the long run. Eventually, though you're winning now, your losses will catch up and the fulfillment you're getting right now from getting good results may very well end up in huge regret and losses. Winning may make you think that gambling can be a good source of money but it's not and whatever you're gaining right now may be taken away if you don't play it smart and expect more from gambling
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 25: Weidman vs Gastelum Info and Prediction Thread on: July 22, 2017, 04:54:10 AM
Weidman's been on a downward spiral with the string of losses he's had recently. A far cry from the weidman we saw knocking out a cocky anderson silva a couple of years back. The thing with fighters is that it's also a mental game so i don't think weidman's recovered at all from his losses. I think he's had a good run but a lotnof fighters now have risen in this division. Though gastelum's not really right up there in the top of the division as well. If weidman loses, i think that's it for him.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: July 22, 2017, 04:44:31 AM
Previously, I feel little bit of "ashamed". But then I ask myself? Why become ashamed ? I'm not doing anything wrong to other people and besides it's my life, it's my decision so none can ever question that. I gamble just for fun and I do not gamble everyday. Is it wrong to have fun ? No.Gambling is not my priority, I know my limit. when we heard gambling we think it is bad but not all gambling is bad. Casinos are approved by the government as well as lotto and earn taxes that they can use to improve their community.

That is right, being a gambler doesn't mean you are a criminal, it just proves that you are being true to yourself, also you are just having fun so there is nothing wrong with it.
most of the people I know or sorround in my places are judgemental, they judge people based on what they are doing and not on why do they do it. It is just sad how people nowadays are like these.

Sometimes it's not about people being judgemental though. A person who enjoys gambling but has his religion or the society he belongs to prohibiting gambling, there would always be that feeling of shame or guilt whenever he goes against the rules just because he wants to gamble. Not everyone of us are allowed by our religions and beliefs and i think going against those two just to gamble would.make a person feel shameful among his peers.
1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are? When will you stop and withdrawn? on: July 21, 2017, 10:59:07 AM
Before I was too greedy to the extent that I'm not contented even I'm going to win 1 bitcoin when the price was still at $500. But right now I changed that even I'm going to win $10 equivalent to bitcoin is already sufficient for me.

Being contented on what we won is a good traits that we are not greedy. We all know that being greedy will makes us lose in the first place. If we want more profit then we expect that we lose in the long run. Now i'm happy if i got a profit even the profit is small.

Me too. There was also a time when i would trybto push my luck to the limit to the extent that luck always turn to bust. I learned a lot of hard lessons during those times and probably for the better. Greed usually ruins someone's life if not checked early on. Countries don't progress because of greedy leaders and politicians. Companies don't treat workers rightly sometimes because of greedy owners. Nothing good comes out of greed.
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: July 21, 2017, 10:28:57 AM
Why is someone get addicted to gambling once he gamble ?
Because every gambler or most gambler once they experience to win, they will have more interest to play again and again.
Particularly, if they win big in the gambling site.
That's called greediness and that's not one person should have. You better be active in what you are doing knowing that you could gain a lot but also lose a lot of your balance. It cannot be stopped so easily, in my opinion, it's best to be focused on other things.

It's not just about greediness. Some people also simply finds relaxation and repreive from stress when they gamble. Though there are a lot of people who gets addicted because of greed, there are also those who play not entirely for the money but simply for the act of gambling itself. A lot of these are stressed out people or old folks who frequent casinos because they just feel good about being there

1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: July 21, 2017, 10:25:35 AM
It is easy if you believe in yourself and you have someone to lean on and guide you with your decision. It's my principle in my life, you need to think of easy thing if you want to become successful. Don't weight it too heavy because it will reflect on what you think.

Why do you need someone to help you to stop? that just doesnt make any sense at all. If you want to stop then you can just stop right away so why bother with someone to help you? Dont bother with it because you can do it yourself. Sometimes it might feel very hard to stop but that is just only when you dont want to stop but if you are truly want to stop then stop

It will be more effective if you are going to have someone as your companion to guide you when you are about to quit gambling for life. You can't do it alone trust me, I'd been doing that for years but it never became effective because I just can't do it alone. No one is boosting me up when I'm feeling down.

Exactly. For those people who've been deep into gambling, it would be difficult to quit on their own. They have to have inspiration or motivation to do so and help from the people around them would be a very big boost to accomplishing it. It's never easy giving upnsomething you've been so used to doing already for a long time. Sometimes there are even negative health and mental effects for people who try to do so. So it's important to have support from people that the person trust.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know whether its your lucky day? on: July 21, 2017, 10:20:48 AM
If you can successfully cashout out with profit you can say its your lucky day today. Smiley

The thing is that in starting say you won and if cash out and go its your lucky day and say you get greedy and played more and in the end lot out so it becomes unlucky day. So ideally it was your lucky day but turned unlucky due to lack of self control. This is how luck is created by oneself.

Lol and this is a common happening already to gamblers who consider themselves lucky. Much more.for those that win for the first time or those that supposedly are experiencing beginner's luck. It would be a while lot better that after you win, stop and leave and just try your luck again another day rather than try to push your luck further because you really will never know when your luck would run out and most of the time it happens on the same day.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: July 21, 2017, 10:16:21 AM
Most of the time when my money get double I withdrew it to assure that my capital is safe. Continue to play your profit when you feel like the luck is still with you. If not then try not to lost all you profit.

Right. If you happen to be lucky enough to win a couple of times, better to secure the entry amount or better yet, quit while.you're still in profit. Sometimes, the when we win big, we tend to lose cobtrol more so playijg continously with your profits can also be a bit dangerous as that will expose you to nmore temptations as you go on playing.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: July 21, 2017, 10:13:14 AM
Greed in gambling usually arises because we expect too high without being able to control ourselves. So from the beginning we have to do is not to expect too high, so not too difficult in controlling emotions when gambling. The higher our expectations the more difficult we are to control our emotions.

We are not just expecting too high but we used to experienced it to win bigger amount when we gamble. And with that experience, we want to earn better and bigger amount that makes us greedy. Another thing is that we are not satisfied on how much we get when we gamble or how much we earn from our source of earning.

We can try to use the span of time to play, it will not be comfortable anymore but it can reduce our greed factor, whatever our condition in our game takes time to keep the balance at least little by little in the time we set, do not need much of our time enough to take profit daily sufficiency.

Good idea, we can reduce the time that we are giving in gambling. Like we use to gamble for 1 hour, we only need to gamble for 30 minutes. It is a good way to reduce our gambling activity and our greed will be controlled by that time. And also when you gamble for the said amount of time, spend only lower capital for it.
But it is very hard to set that limit at the mid of the gambling if someone will decide to start gambling and then at that time he set the timing that he will gambling up to that time period then he is lucky as he will easily play till that time because in the beginning a person is not addicted and he can follow the rules which he have settled for his further progress in gambling.

A greedy person would always be greedy no matter what they do. So if you know that you have a tendency to be such, gambling needs to be avoided at all cost. Greed comes in a lot of forms and almost anything that greed touches becomes corrupted. Put it in somethih that deals with money and time like gambling and you have yourself a very dangerous situation where you can lose not just matrrial things but family and friends as well. Know yourself and your limits. If you think you won't ba able to handle gambling then avoid it.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: July 21, 2017, 09:30:06 AM
I feel my bankroll management and savings all are highly unstable. Can go up or down by storing money in bitcoin to gamble. Some form of betting like poker requires good bankroll management and with value changing everyday, I don't see bitcoin as a good use for poker players and sportsbettors.

If you're reachung in from your own pocket and buying btc then gambling with it, it is pretty unstable as you won't have a consistent base capital for your gambling. If you're just earning btcs though, then i think there's nit much of a difference if you gamble with bitcoins. But for me nithing's really worth it when it comes to gambling except fir a few extra coins for simply the fun of it. I don't consider it worth it to gamble with a proper amount as i'd rather save or spend it in something a lot more important.
1212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: July 21, 2017, 09:14:37 AM
My friend is what me keep on coming back in gambling. He's giving me a budget to gamble and he always say that its up to me on how I can win with that amount. He just want to try my luck and use his money, it's not a big deal to me but I really care about his attitude that he keeps on funding his hope to win big amount in gambling.

You are lucky you have a friend that finance you just to play gambling games.  I would also go back in gambling regularly if my friend finance me too. But the thing that really keeps me coming back is the thoughts of trying different strategy in my head even though I already know that it has little affect to the result of the game.  That alone made me to keep coming back to gambling games.

I have the same kind of friend that help me to get into gambling and another one that want to keep me out of gambling. The thing is that Im not a person that can quit easily because everytime I decided to quit. I come back to play using a small amount but Im coming back not for money but only for fun when playing

There should be a reason why that friend finances your gambling though. He probably thinks you're lucky or skilled in a certsin gambling game. Careful though as when you get yourself too much into it, there's a chance you'll be spending your own money to gamble away. Also i'll be a bit weary of someone who pushes me to do things that he knows won't reslly do me good in the long run.
1213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money will the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight make? on: July 21, 2017, 09:11:16 AM
We probably wouldn't know the exact figures but one thing's for sure, these two will rake up a lot of money. With how good they're selling the fight, all the harsh words thrown and the circus promotion, even though i don't think a lot of people takes this seriously, a lot of people would be willing to pay to watch it. And yes there's a big possibility that this could already go down as the richest boxing fight to date. Whoever wins, both will go home millions of dollars richer
1214  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: June 25, 2017, 06:16:33 PM
Yes you can have income online through working for people who needs services like data entry, solving captcha or being virtual assistant as long as your employer will pay you in btc. You can also join here in bitcointalk's signature campaign you get paid by posting good quality post.

Yep those arengood ways to earn and with the advamvement of technology, there may ne more ways to earn online in the future. You can be a seller, a trader, an investor, people didn't only earn online, people have become rich here. If you know where to put your money and efforts at, you can earn more here than through a regular office day job. There was once a time when earning online only gives you side profit amounts but now, a lot are quitting their day jobs since it's a lot more convenient to work at home without spending anything for going to an office.
1215  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: June 25, 2017, 06:11:47 PM
We have to admit that the use of paper money getting down, it is because the State see that paper money is difficult to control, easily forged and many other issues, I'm sure 100 years more paper money will dissapear replace with digital money.
Paper money has a big value these days because it spent thousands of years and get involved in every business and in international market but I think the future of paper money is in danger because of the bitcoin as we are seeing from the beginning that it is being adopted by more and more people with a good trust.
It's definitely the biggest circulation in the world, it can be lessen in the future due to the digital currencies presence which
gets bigger and bigger but still more people will use paper money so digital currency is not a threat that will eliminate paper money
in the circulation.

I agree. If it's going to be something, digital currency would be a good alternative for transactions done today. Paper money has its roots deep into people's needs and in the market so even if a lot of people are already saying that going digital is definitely the future, paper money will not be left behind or it won't relinquish it's hold on consumers for a long time still.
1216  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: June 25, 2017, 06:08:37 PM
For some instance, bitcoin can reduce the number of unemployed individuals because you can earn money on this type of cryptocurrency. But we must not depend on it because the assurance of how long does bitcoin can last is not yet sure. For us to have a continuous and stable income we must still have a decent job to sustain our needs. Bitcoin is just a temporary source of income right now. We still need a back up to have a money to hand on.

You're right. Even if these people are earning good money from btc, they're still considered unemployed. Though the fact that they're earning money they can spend is already a big boost to their lives. Some would rather be traders than to look for a job and for me that's a good path to take. We can call these people self employed instead as they are earning their own money anyways. Btc is a big help especially for those having a hard time looking for a real job
1217  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: June 25, 2017, 05:22:26 PM
My parents don't even use cash any more, everything is payed with credit cards nowadays. I don't see a problem in me using btc when I am their age.
Yeah i think it's been a sign that this time and the future is coming. Cash will further diminish its use. Because with a credit card or digital currency you'll get easier in shopping and sending money. So that's why the bitcoin is in the form of cash

It probably is in your area but there still are a lot of places where this isn't appliccable. To make credot card payments, the store needs to have a cc terminal and good for those areas that already have access to this technology but realistically there are more stores where cash is the only mode of payment. I don't think it's time yet for full cashless transactions and tradings. We may not yet have the capability to sustain a system without cash
1218  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: June 25, 2017, 05:09:36 PM
Probably the worst decision i've ever made if waste the btc i've earned in gambling
Kinda stupid but I learned now.

Sam here, I have been playing in dice game and not paying attention how much I lose. If only I saved all the bitcoin I spent in gambling then maybe I have enough money now but its all done I can't turn back that time. I am glad though that I've learned my lesson with my experiences, I am now buying bitcoin and earn at the same time.

This mistake is pretty common with new btc users since dice games are really acessible everywhere including other trading platforms. I'll say i've wasted a lot of my initial btc earnings there as well. It may amount to little ifnyou look at it per day but once accumulated, the amount you've lost may shock you.
1219  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: June 25, 2017, 05:06:51 PM
Bitcoin is better only because you can make money on its growth, but where there is no internet it will be completely useless.

In terms of features, crypto obviously has better festures than regular currencies. Though for usage and accessibility, crypto still has a pretty long way to go since it's restricted by internet connection. Though these times are becoming more and more reliant in online connections, majority of the people would still find regular currencies easier to ger access to compared to crypto
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Should I Choose Bitcoin ?? on: June 25, 2017, 05:01:41 PM
Due to the least profitable, when almost all investment losers, I switch to the bitcoin and I'm so glad because it can cover losses from other investments. I hope the price bitcoin can always rise up.
because we do not have any other option, bitcoin is the first cypto currency which is giving you good profit, although there are so many other altcoins, but my first choice is bitcoin where i have good confident to get more profit.

For confidence, i agree. Among all other altcoins, i think btc is your best chance for a secure profit simply by holding it for a time. You xan't lose with btc at this rate. Your income becomes passive as time goes by and by the time you feel comfortable to sell, your capital may have doubled or tripled already or even more. I also deal with other altcoins for regular trading but btc will always be my first option for investments.
