@FP530
Thanks for sharing, very helpful and informative!

The Titan Mint website should have some sort of notification and or link to an information page, perhaps a video file of some sort of the webinar explaining what’s going on and how to redeem.
1203  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Titan Mint Coins- Serious Issue- Titan Mint Bitcoin Coins ***NEW UPDATES*** on: July 26, 2023, 12:23:41 AM
I'm hosting a webinar this coming week to update coin owners on the topic of redemption and answer questions.  The event is scheduled for July 28th at 6pm Pacific time (GMT -7).

Please fill your desired email address and one of your coin IDs here to receive the invitation link:

http://www.titanmint.com/webinar/

You should get an email after filling in that form confirming that you're on the webinar invite list.  The actual link for the webinar will go out on Thursday of this coming week, along with a reminder.

Let me know if you have any questions.  FYI, I need to avoid using the word "bitcoin" in the emails related to the webinar because all email delivery services now block or ban anything related to crypto currency so if you see something saying "Titan Coin" instead of Titan Bitcoin that's why.

If you've already gotten an email titled "IMPORTANT Titan Coin - Redemption Process Webinar Invitation" then you're already on the invite list and don't need to fill in this form.

Tim, I’m glad to see you’re hosting these and hopefully making everyone whole who needs to be.

That said, can you address how this will all work going forward for those with 2FA coins who have absolutely no idea about this upcoming webinar.  Will the webinar be made available afterward?

Btw I’ve never heard of any mail service blocking emails for using the word bitcoin. Between yahoo, hotmail and gmail..they all allow it.

1207  Economy / Economics / Re: How do banks generate income? on: July 25, 2023, 03:42:32 PM
I would just like to add that Banks, the big ones, are corrupt as all hell.  JP Morgan/Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America..the worlds largest banks, are all corrupt crooks.

Take a look at JP Morgan / Chase fraud violation tracker.  Since the year 2000, JP Morgan has had nearly 40 BILLION in fraud violations...and yet no one ever goes to jail.

If you use a bank, get an online account (like Ally, Capital one etc  Bankrate.com is a great place to view best current interest rates).  Now you'll also need a physical bank for ATM use, I recommend credit unions and very small "mom and pop" type banks, which are fewer and far between these days..but these two types of banks are decently legit...big banks, anything but.

This is nearly 20 years of financial experience closely working with banks, so not coming out of my ass.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Not Nerdy Enough on: July 25, 2023, 03:35:28 PM
There is actually a quite simple explanation for this...people are lazy.  As a financial advisor I'm meeting with people daily to discuss their finances.  I would say 95% of people simply have no clue about finances.  I mean the people who schedule appointments with me are at least smart enough to understand they need to seek professional help, there's countless people who are so afraid of even remotely thinking about or learning about finances/their retirement plans it’s not even funny.  For example, with retirement plans, often individuals set up an initial investment and amount coming out of their paychecks and then never look at it again. They never increase contributions or review their investments, which is so critically important. I can't even get many of my best friends to let me help them out for free (I've got close to 20 year of financial experience too, they know I'm a good advisor), that's just how much people dislike thinking about their finances.

When I speak to clients about bitcoin, which I get asked about often, they ALWAYS have the same thing in common. None of them truly understand how any of it works, they all store their coins on an exchange (typically Conbase, I mean Coinbase), they listen to my speech about the importance of buying a hardware wallet ( I always recommend Trezor ), they all tell me "yeah yeah I'll definitely buy a hardware wallet and call you to help me set it up"...none of them EVER do.  Typically they also own like 75% bitcoin and then have a slew of complete utter shitcoins that they know absolutely NOTHING about.

People are lazy and stupid overall.  That is just a simple fact.
1209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: July 25, 2023, 03:28:54 PM
Training Camp has officially opened...so exciting that football has officially begun!

Check out this clip of Rodgers to Wilson yesterday..man this stuff is so exciting to me https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BGZY3W1E1xM

So I'm not saying we should switch to Sleeper for our league, let me start off emphatically expressing that...but that being said, I just did my first draft (dynasty) on sleeper and man it's a great fantasy app, and if it's not already the best one, it's going to be.  It's way more in-depth than any other app out there.  I'm becoming a huge fan.  It's a bit complicated at first, but once you figure out all the nuances, it really shines.

Just thought I'd share some screen shots of some of the features just so you guys have an idea how it looks.  I know Sleeper has been discussed here a few times..

When you scroll to the far right of the app, you've got all these great links.  What I really like is the news, the podcasts and the advice section.  Really cool stuff.  You can tell they are working hard to make this the ultimate fantasy platform

1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 25, 2023, 03:12:09 PM
I’m just now reading about the Bronny James story. Bronny apparently suffered a cardiac arrest yesterday during a workout at USC. This is horrible news and I’m sure LeBron James missed a lot of sleep last night. Insane that these athletes are having so many heart problems suddenly. We all know it’s the vaccine, but that doesn’t make it any less heartbreaking.

Dude c'mon we do not all know it's the vaccine.  I mean do you know if he ever even took it?  Not really the place to discuss this, but I certainly can't agree with you here.  It's not like this has been a big issue with a lot of people all of a sudden.

That said, it's definitely a sad situation and one I'm just hearing about.  I know he's continued to improve, but do you know if he's going to be starting?  I've just been curious how much better he's truly been getting, like I know on his HS team he wasn't even starting for a while.  The younger James apparently might end up being the better of the two.  I'm sure you've seen how tall he's gotten.  Could be a beast.

One thing is for sure in my mind, MJ is the undisputed goat, but Lebron's (2nd best ever imo) kids will certainly have better careers than MJ's did lol.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Other Things You Can Bet on Aside Sports and Casino Games on: July 25, 2023, 03:03:03 PM
Lol it's kind of crazy how much stuff you can actually bet on.  I haven't really ventured outside of sports betting and casino games much myself.  Betting NFL football has always been my "bread and butter" and playing casino games like roulette and poker have always been my bread and butter for non sports betting, but really I think the only "crazy" bet I've ever made was on the US presidential election several years ago.  I was so confident I was going to win too...didn't pan out that way lol.
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmer's Bitcoin Investment on: July 23, 2023, 11:27:07 PM
Thanks for sharing your story, this is very interesting. I am curious why you formed a “co-op” with your small society of farmers (and perhaps your teacher as well) instead of just investing on your own? I’m just curious as I’m not sure it’s really needed is it?

I would just make sure you’ve asked yourself what are the advantages and disadvantages of forming such a “co-op”.
1213  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] EBAY bitcoin/cryptocurrency finds!!! on: July 23, 2023, 03:06:03 PM
Just found a hand-poured bismuth coin with the Bitcoin logo on eBay. I've received mine today and it looks awesome. Get yours here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175670020020

I’ve got the mold for this coin if anyone is interested, just FYI.
1214  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Titan Mint Coins- Serious Issue- Titan Mint Bitcoin Coins ***NEW UPDATES*** on: July 22, 2023, 04:49:46 PM
not to detract from the issue here - and there is a huge issue with the 2FA - but for many of the PK ones that I have seen had issues, they never did the confirmation to prove they had the coins - that was part of the process, the coin would be shipped out unfunded, the buyer receives and confirms delivery and the coin gets funded. This way if a coin was lost in shipment, it was much easier to replace the coin if it was unloaded. So then some of these "lost" coins will pop up now and people claim they were never funded (which they would not have been if they were lost) and then some who did received them never reached back out to confirm and then their coins were also then not loaded.  With all his database issues it may be near impossible to decipher these coins apart as well.

Oh I certainly agree this is the case for some of those, but not all. I’ve spoken with someone whom positively contacted Tim letting him know he received the the coin, but funds were never sent to the coin.  This person is as honest and trustworthy as they get, otherwise I wouldn’t even bring this story up.

Accidents happen, but Tim has a pattern that is unfortunately far passed accidental.

Please keep us updated on this one.
Do you know which date exactly this webinar is going to take place? Or, the better question I guess, did you

Friday July 28th. If I remember correctly it’s in the late afternoon, sometime between 4-6pm.  An extremely inconvenient day and time of day if you ask me, however I hope it happens nonetheless and would love to put all of this to rest.

Edit: July 28th at 6pm Pacific. (Apologies I originally listed it as Aug 28, instead of *July).
1215  Economy / Collectibles / Re: XRP Loaded Tokens on: July 22, 2023, 04:42:42 PM
The only other XRP piece that I know of "with keys on it" would be from COINPLUS. They might have a trust issues, ive read something to do with trading funds. Either way, its a nice collectable piece. I believe they come in steel, sterling, 18k gold and black diamond. I've never funded any of them. I just like rare physical crypto bar examples.  They had BTC, LTC, and ETH bars too Grin

Would you mind sharing more on the “trust issues”? This is a company I remember finding years back but there stuff was grossly overpriced, so I never bought anything of theirs but they did have some cool bars as well as some plastic cards. I can’t remember if any of the cards came funded or not. But as I said, I’m interested in learning more about these trust issues.. thx
1216  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: July 22, 2023, 12:17:08 AM
There’s a book that recently launched by CNBC correspondent Julia Boorstin call “ When Women Lead”, which I think is a great book for anyone interested in this topic, and learning about how women “lead” in business , which also looks in to how women are often overlooked and undervalued/underpaid.

“About the Book
Julia Boorstin was thirteen when her mother told her that, by the time she grew up, women could be just as powerful as men, “captains of industry, running the biggest companies!” A decade later, working at a top business publication and seeing the dearth of women in positions of leadership, Boorstin assumed her mom had been wrong. But over the following two decades as a TV reporter and creator of CNBC’s Disruptor 50 franchise, interviewing, and studying thousands of executives, she realized that a gender-equity utopia shouldn’t be a pipe dream. Yes, women faced massive social and institutional headwinds, and struggled with double standards and what psychologists call “pattern matching.” Yet those who thrived, Boorstin found, shared key commonalities that made them uniquely equipped to lead, grow businesses, and navigate crises. They were highly adaptive to change, deeply empathetic in their management style, and much more likely to integrate diverse points of view into their business strategies, filling voids that their male counterparts had overlooked for generations. By utilizing those strengths, they had invented new business models, disrupted industries, and made massive profits along the way”. - https://juliaboorstin.com/the-book/
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: July 22, 2023, 12:12:23 AM
Why does it just have to be about learning how to trade futures? How about learning how to trade options, or stocks, or simply how to invest properly.

As an advisor I thankfully have never had to make the decision whether I wanted to learn just one or the other, so I’ve learned both. I think anyone else has this same opportunity.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You on: July 22, 2023, 12:09:46 AM
Lol some of those posts that people come up with crack me up. If I were to take this question seriously, which Im having a bit of a hard time doing, then I would say it all depends on how much the rich father has and at what point in time I’d inherit it.

Sports gambling is something you can be good at, or get good at, but there’s no guarantees involved in it, so that would really help me make my decision.
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino on a cruise ship? on: July 22, 2023, 12:06:37 AM
My ex-girlfriend and I took a Royal Caribbean cruise once down to the Caribbean Islands (St Martin, St Thomas, Aruba etc). There was a casino on our cruise ship which we did spend a little time at. The hours were pretty limited, which I believe was one of the factors for us not playing as much as we otherwise would have.

I do not support cruises however. They are horrible on the environment, oceans and especially the port cities. Sure they bring tourism dollars, but that’s not everything.
1220  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 20, 2023, 10:39:38 PM
This is a good topic. I’m not embarrassed to admit that I’m a bit of a prepper myself. I’m moving soon and will have more space to store things so I’ve been asking myself these same questions lately too. I’ve got a bug out kit set up for a small journey and I keep those “survival” meal bars that last for several years in my bag. I imagine some preppers would recommend storing some of those bars amongst other things. Their main deal is being high in everything so if you’re really in need of substance these things will fill you with proper fats/cals, proteins, carbs etc.

Wow, I can't believe it's been almost exactly one year since I wrote this post.

As I mention above, I'm a bit of a prepper myself and over the course of this past year I have moved, and I do have a lot more space to store things in case the economy or even the world goes belly up, but I've run in to a few tough situations.

For one, my basement is quite damp.  I do run a dehumidifier 24/7, and I know this helps, but I still fear for long term storage.

What I wanted to ask today is, does anyone know of good sites that sell pre-made food kids that are actually affordable?
