That's 100% a scam.

4 Legendary accounts with green trust for $210 each? You can get more than that in 1 week of a signature campaign. He's just trying to lure the greedy spammers who can't get merit by offering an "accessible" price for a trusted account.
12062  Other / Meta / Re: HOW TO GET BCT ACCOUNT UNBANNED??? on: July 25, 2018, 04:43:24 AM
You can't.

You got permabanned for plagiarism. There is not appeal for that.

I went to the Bitcoin Discussion board, hoping to find something worth reading, and find plagiarism within a minute.

"MTGox is selling" is just a new kind of FUD, and some people are trying  to manipulate the market with this FUD. They want other people to panic and sell their coins low, so manipulators can buy them and sell later. People shouldn't care about minor news, it's a good way to lose money if you trade by reacting to them, instead people should have a good long term strategy that ignores minor fluctuations. Time has proven that all these hacks, government bans and other stuff doesn't matter in the long run, so people should never panic on this market.
12063  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ✅ Ledger Nano S - Information 🕵🏻💻Hardware Wallet💻🕵🏻 on: July 25, 2018, 03:39:14 AM
I heard that it is advisable to buy only directly from them and not from any other online store. I don't get the security threat buying from online stores. Can somebody help please? Thanks
Actually, the main risk is buying a Ledger that comes with an already set up wallet and the hacker's wallet seed written over the paper backup. So, the careless average Joe will think he's the only one with that wallet and that the Ledger is supposed to come like that. But when he deposits his coins, the hacker uses the seed to restore the wallet and steal the coins.

Ledger has an authenticity check when you open the Ledger app, so buying a fake Ledger is pretty hard.

How did you do the hidden signature? I am intrigued by it's simplistic potential. Is it just font colour?
A bit off-topic but yes.

Code:
[color=azure]Secret text[/color]

Result: Secret text
12065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Receiving a transaction with bitcoin core - quick question on: July 24, 2018, 08:01:46 PM
in order to receive a transaction, do I need to specify the actual "amount" for it to work ?
No.

I can create one "receiving" address and always use that one regardless of amounts, if that would work?!
You can. You don't even have to fill the amount or message field, just get the address and give to whoever is going to send your coins.

Then, you can receive any amount of BTC as many times as you want in any address (from your wallet) and the coins will be there.
12066  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Converting my ETH to BTC on: July 24, 2018, 07:57:30 PM
Something is off. Binance's minimum withdrawal is 0.002BTC ($17) and not 0.02BTC (which is worth $165, and not $90).

OP, what are you missing? Again, please take a screenshot of your balance and post it here.
12067  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.2.2 not working with VPN on: July 24, 2018, 06:27:36 PM
With which VPN? Have you tried to change servers?
12068  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Ban Evasion on: July 24, 2018, 02:59:15 PM
What about the other peoples who are posting one line and one sentence posts there are still so many, why they don't get punished???
Unfortunately, most of the times what they do is not against the rules. I would ban them if I had the authority. But I can't.

Plagiarism on the other side IS against the rules. This is about you and not about the spammers on this forum. Just because they deserve a ban (in my eyes) and don't get it, doesn't mean you are free to break the rules.

If you want proofs I can give you & also why don't you punish peoples which are here purely only for bounty hunting that only need money and don't want to do any single contribution for forum. Take Example of IONCHAIN bounty campaign, This project had bounty campaign of 2 Weeks only and This project turned out to be scammed. Bounty Spreadheets were prepared and tokens were too allocated. Hunters didn't got their rewards but the funny thing is peoples are still reporting in Scam projects thread reports of their work. You know what their rank is Sr.Member, Full Member, Members Etc. and they don't even 10% post written by them in their own words.
And they deserve a ban (in my opinion at least).

I felt something to share for beginners section so that newbies can learn this is what my intention.
It's still plagiarism. Maybe you were looking for merits or wanted to increase your post count. Or maybe you just tried to spread something you though to be interesting. But the way you put the post, made it seem like you purposely wanted to get credits for that post. Even with the small "Knowledge shared by MG" which is something pretty vague.

I don't want to divert you from the main issue regarding my Ban but I felt something to share for beginners section so that newbies can learn this is what my intention. Since, You are the one who reported me I need to know from you only, will I get one chance??? I will not repeat the same mistake and I assure you I will improve my post quality.
I'm not a mod, so I can't decide. If I had the authority, I would give you a chance and keep an eye on your post history. But again, I'm not a mod. And those who are probably don't have the time to do this.
12069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bountyhive on: July 24, 2018, 01:47:09 PM
That's what they say:

If you're looking for your UserID, click on your username on the left to view your profile, and look at your browser's address bar.

Now, let's click on your username next to your thread and check the browser's address bar.

Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=866534

Pretty simple, huh?
12070  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Ban Evasion on: July 24, 2018, 01:42:33 PM
Sure... the "plagiarism was not my intention" excuse. How about this one?

Digibyte technology :- One of the biggest security threats on the internet is the theft of personal information, be it through websites or credit cards.  Digi-ID solves this problem by eliminating the need to reveal personal information when logging into websites. It does this by removing the need for username and passwords.  All you have to need to do is scan the Digi-ID QR code and you can login without putting your personal information at risk. Their technology can help.a lot lot of online banking customers or other online customer.
Digibyte has been proven profitable investment for all the holders who had shown patience in the past. Buy DGB when the price is lower and hold it for a long time as DGB also pick rally when market pick rally.

From: https://cryptoglobalist.com/2018/07/15/digibyte-dgb-gets-much-needed-publicity-on-cnbc-is-dgb-headed-into-the-top-10/

I here by appeal Moderators to please consider my ban evasion, I request Moderators to check my post history and on that basis to take their decision. I will accept whatever their decision will be happily.
You better reconsider this request. Your posting quality is pretty bad (besides the number of bounty entries). You would never be unbanned based on your post history.
12071  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Converting my ETH to BTC on: July 24, 2018, 02:51:22 AM
You can try to earn some BTC doing some bounty or signature campaign to complete this 0.02 BTC....
for such small amounts shapeshift and easyrabbit are better I think...
He said limit and not minimum.

Alright so I sent my ETH to Binance and traded it for BTC.

Now it won't allow me to send it out of Binance because the limit is 0.02 BTC and I have like 0.018 BTC

So, now my coin is trapped at Binance??

Why does some major glitch happen every single time I try doing something with crypto??

Stress
This doesn't seem right. Can you take a print of that info/notification/whatever that indicates the 0.02 BTC limit?

If you are talking about withdrawal limits, then that's impossible. Binance's default limit for non-verified users is 2 BTC/day.

I am sharing here information in brief about BITCOIN ETF so that newbies and beginners will know more about ETF, BITCOIN ETF and Its effect on price of Bitcoin if the Application for the smae will be approved by the SEC.

What is #ETF ?

ETF stands for “exchange-traded fund” and describes a kind of investment fund where the price of assets like gold, stocks and oil can be tracked. These assets can then be traded on exchanges, just like conventional stocks. What this means is that investors have the option of buying and selling their holdings in this exchange-traded funds to other investors via the stock exchange.

What is Bitcoin ETF?

Basically, a Bitcoin ETF is one where the underlying asset is Bitcoin. This means that when you purchase Bitcoin ETF, you’re purchasing the cryptocurrency, albeit indirectly. This is because you’re holding the Bitcoin ETF in your portfolio and this ETF tracks the real-time price of Bitcoin. Therefore, the difference is that when you invest in Bitcoin ETF, you have the luxury of trading Bitcoins without the struggles of buying and storing it.

what is Effect on BTC ?

the application of ETFs by Wallstreet firms is a clear indicator that the big money is coming into the crypto markets through the additional products of ETFs. The impact of these products is expected to be astronomical in the sense that if the SEC approves the ETFs, they would have indirectly given the green-light for mainstream investing in all other cryptocurrencies. Hence the trillions in funds will eventually end up in the crypto markets.

When...? 10 August or Later ?

The tentative date for the SEC’s decision is Friday, August 10 — though, a 45-day extension is possible. This means that a decision should be expected no later than September 24. (Do Investment by considering it)

High Possibility ? Yes!

One major reason for last year’s rejection was that Bitcoin markets were “unregulated.” “Based on the record before it, the Commission believes that the significant markets for bitcoin are unregulated,” it explained. But later that year, Bitcoin Futures began trading as big investment banks such as Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan started dipping their toes in cryptocurrencies.

12073  Other / Meta / Re: Can't access this forum while using a VPN (for the past 2 days) on: July 23, 2018, 09:30:43 PM
Just to mention and for future reference: If in future your friend does some spamming on the forum and by any chance, the IP gets blacklisted, you will also be unable to use the forum using the same IP address without paying the evil point removal fees. So it's better you get a VPN which allows on-demand dynamic IP's.
That's not true. The whole evil units thing just appears when you are registering a new account. Not if you already have an account and just want to login.
12074  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: MyEtherwallet + Ledger on: July 23, 2018, 06:38:28 PM
No. You can just send everything you have to your address from the Ledger default derivation path or keep using the current one.

There is no big differences.
12075  Other / Meta / Re: Can't access this forum while using a VPN (for the past 2 days) on: July 23, 2018, 06:33:00 PM

12076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Converting my ETH to BTC on: July 23, 2018, 06:17:35 PM
You can also just use an exchange like Binance to quickly trade your BTC to ETH (or vice versa). It doesn't require any verification, so it should be pretty easy and quick.

12077  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal ban Sr. member on: July 23, 2018, 05:14:22 PM
You need to post the link to an unedited post with the staked address.

Your profile isn't a valid proof.

How are people still falling for the fake Twitter bots advertising giveaways? Undecided

They have been doing the same thing for almost 5 months...
12079  Other / Meta / Re: Images on thread not showing. on: July 23, 2018, 04:40:09 PM
So the avatars must be stored using a different method than other images...
The avatars don't use the image proxy server. They are stored as a plain image file in the usersavatars folder.

If you notice, your avatar URL is:
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/useravatars/avatar_30747.png

While images use this kind of URL:

12080  Other / Meta / Re: My account was hacked and I didn't use a Bitcoin address.. on: July 23, 2018, 03:24:16 PM
wrong. hilariousandco can not. I have pmed him the signed message and a request to unlock my account but he told me to contact theymos and cyrus. which means i will most likely never get it back although providing all proof as requested!!!
Are you sure? That's what I found:

If you can provide reasonable proof that it's your account I can unlock it but not restore it.

I see Cyrus recovering a few accounts from time to time. You should just wait.
