Its rainy days on Primedice chat...

We will giveaway 0.3-0.5 btc every day for the next 10 days!

Stop by ours chat for a chance to get some awesome tips from ours moderators and sometimes even some community members.

That's a great news! Thanks PrimeDice! I was pleasantly surprised yesterday when just several seconds after login I've got a 0.002 tip from a mod before I even had started betting. Just said "hi)" in the chat. )
12142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: February 02, 2016, 03:45:13 PM
I don't know why but I always get a feeling to gamble, after then losing my money, I quit for some time and then continue, but I know I will lose my btc Sad

Why is it so addictive?

Yes, gambling is addictive and that's why it is banned in many countries, but I think that banning it is not right. Adults should have a right to do whatever they want if that not harms anybody physically. I'm not saying that gambling is a good thing but everyone should have the right to make his/her own decisions.
12143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: February 02, 2016, 02:46:35 PM
My first bitcoins came from Primedice signature campaign way back September 2014. From then on, I started to buy a little amount of btc every month and I have never failed to do so for the past 10 months.

How'd you get your first bitcoins (faucets aside) and what did you do to them?

My first Bitcoins came from Primedice also but it wasn't from their signature compaign. It was in November 2014, I was making around 100k sats per month from faucets at the time and was playing on PD, chatting from time to time. One beautiful evening a guy won over 2 BTC and was tipping randomly in the chat. He tipped me 0.015 at once, I was shocked (in a good way). I've never met that guy before and I've never seen him after. I even don't remeber his name now but I'm very grateful for his extraordinary generosity.
12144  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: February 02, 2016, 02:30:20 PM
As you see, the Bitcoin is crashing and trying to break a new low until it stop.
But I won't sell any Bitcoin at this time, I believe it will rise again as it always do. Smiley

Yeah, me too. I don't think it will break a new low though. I think we'll never see below $350, ever. It will surely rise, no reasons for the dropping except some stupid articles in the media.

12146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: February 01, 2016, 03:02:23 PM
Here's my safe method: never deposit any Bitcoins on gambling site. If you can't stay away from gambling, okay, gamble but only with their faucets and with the money you win. But here's the trickiest part: at one point you might think that you "know" how to win using a "strategy" you've just invented and that it's time to deposit a bit to try it with some real money. Don't do that! And you'll be safe.
12147  Economy / Gambling / Re: How can I win big? on: February 01, 2016, 02:52:00 PM
Well, the most simple way is to bet say 0.1 BTC on a trusted dice site with winning odds 0.01%. If you win you'll win 990 Bitcoins which is I think we can call a big win. Of course you can lose but the same goes for any other "strategy" so why not try this one?
12148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that Satoshi is still active on Bitcointalk.org? on: February 01, 2016, 02:45:14 PM
Just wondering, if you believe that Satoshi is still participating on Bitcointalk.org actively using a different pseudonym?

I do, absolutely. Why wouldn't he? This place is one of the best forums on Bitcoin (if not the best one) so he should be here because he I'm sure loves his child and cares about its destiny.
12149  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: February 01, 2016, 02:32:21 PM
I think its better to invest its of course always a risk but investing is the bitcoin is good.
the bitcoin has a great future ahead so why shouldn't you invest it would be stupid.

Although I think that investment in general is quite risky I agree that investment in Bitcoin is worth doing it. You shouldn't invest all you have of course but if you are going to invest a part of your money in something you better invest it in Bitocin, especially right now when Bitcoin is much lower than it should be.
12150  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: February 01, 2016, 10:50:02 AM
They are probably trying to manipulate the coin value, so the price will go down and they can buy even more cheap coins
and sell them when the price is high again

You know, this is very likely actually. If you are sure that Bitcoin will stay firm in the future then you decide to buy BTC as much as possible. You start saying that Bitcoin is dead, media spreads the news, price drops, you buy, you win. Then, several years later, you write a book "How I Made My Millions". Simple. )
12151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: February 01, 2016, 10:05:24 AM
You only should stay for a little bit.
The bitcoin has a good future ahead so why should you leave now.
I think it would be stupid to say bitcoin will fall apart.

I agree. If there are things in this world which will stay alive in the future, Bitcoin is definitely one of them. It's not so stable as we want it to be but on the other hand we all know that everything which is revolutionary is not stable in the beginning.
12152  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: February 01, 2016, 08:59:39 AM
Maybe it's a good thing that some porn sites are accepting Bitcoin, but I don't think this is something we should be proud of or even something we should shout out loud to promote Bitcoin.

Just imagine saying to someone to whom you are introducing Bitocoin: " You know it's a cool currency, even porn sites are accepting them!" How stupid is that?
12153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to convert Bitcoins to new units... on: January 31, 2016, 04:11:48 PM
It took me a while to be easily able to convert satoshis to BTC in my head but I figured out a way for me to remember it and now I have it down pat.

I remember it as "trip zero ten k" in my head, or 3 zeros (000) before 10,000 (10k).

.00010000

That gives me a nice reference point right in the middle and was my "ahaa" moment. eureka..

Now I mostly find myself thinking of BTC as "a million satoshis" = .01, "ten million satoshis" = .1, or "100k sat" = .001

Now I like it this way and its the millibits/bits/bytes that confuses me.. Maybe I'm silly for thinking this way but it works for me..

No, you are not silly. Can't call you that because I'm thinking almost the same way. To me Bitocin is 100 million satoshis and everything else goes from this point.

And yes all those millibits/bits/bytes confuse me too. And I don't think we need to invent another unit (or a subunit) for the sake of convenience. Most likely it will be even more confusing.
12154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your gambling stats? on: January 31, 2016, 03:51:57 PM
my gambling statistics are pretty great in my opinion, i have something like 0.1 bitcoin profit all in all from gambling in live casinos and playing poker on betcoin.tm website

Those are good stats, congrtas! How long did it take?

My profit is negative, it's around -0.05 atm. I'm glad I haven't lost more than that though.
12155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming centrally planned: Communist on: January 31, 2016, 03:28:33 PM
Excuse me but, is there anyone here who has ever lived in a socialist/communist country?? I'm not joking and I don't want to be rude, but let me take your time...

First, some classic quotes:

"Democracy is indispensable to socialism". - Vladmir Lenin

"The goal of socialism is communism". - Vladmir Lenin

"Democracy is the road to socialism". - Karl Marx

"The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism". - Karl Marx

Communism is the ultimate step from a "social democrat" to a socialist political scenario.

When you make everyone "democratic" with social affairs, social benefits, social assistance, when you got tons of parties naming themselves "Social Labour Party", "Democratic Republic Party", "Social Democrat Party", "Christian Social Party", "People Social Party" you're just one step from "Socialist Party", "Republican Socialist Party", "Socialism and Freedom", then you get "United Working Class Party", "People Socialist Party", "National Liberation Movement", "Socialist and United Workers Party", and finally "Communist Party", etc.

In communism, first of all, you have a party and some figures (like Fidel, Maduro, Kim Jong Un, and "past" figures from countries like USSR, China, Cambodia, North Vietnam, Albania, Czechoslovakia, Romania, etc)... they had (have) a godlike representation. This is very visible when you look at religion; this countries don't have the religious freedom. This is why when USSR was dominated by communism, even Buddhism was prohibited. Christianism and Judaism is oposed because it brings the notion of family, to not worship the Emperor or The Leader. The right of private property, the right of inheritance and  all kinds of freedom.

The lack of freedom brings (of course) the extermination of the free market.

All of this brings violence, famine and death. It's a "government" of fear.

Lot of countries are following the steps to communism. They are in America, in Europe, Asia and all around the world.

So, once again, communism is the final path to socialim. It is the socialization of means of production. Communism is a stark form to forcing you to be equal to another people; even if you have money, the communists will take it from you and use in "a common way to share", but everything goes to the party and the heads besides them.

Now...

Bitcoin has nothing to do with it. It's tremendously different. It's very, very, VERY DIFFERENT. Nothing compares to that.

I agree with you. As one who spent more than 20 years in the USSR I'd that Communism even worse than you describe it in your text. For example if you become rich they will take all from you and will put you in jail only if you are not connected to the government. If you one way or another are connected to the government then it's okay to be rich.

And yes, Bitcoin has nothing to do with it.
12156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Absolutely nothing backs Fiat paper its completely worthless on: January 31, 2016, 12:51:07 PM
when Bitcoin takes over anyone left holding fiat will get done like a dogs dinner

I don't understand why we always feel it is necessary to contrapose Bitcoin to fiat. Can't they just coexist with each other like they do today? Bitcoin is a good thing but I don't think we should kill all the other things which are not so good just because of that.
12157  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: January 31, 2016, 12:27:09 PM
if bitcoin will be worth 1mln dollar next year you will retired next year
But if dollar will fail like  that we will see the biggest economic tornado in human history
There is a thread that Bitcoin will become 1 million dollars. If that's the case, you only need like 3 or 4 Bitcoins.
Oh yeah I saw that thread. I really doubt that it will even reach anything close to that.
If Bitcoin went up to 1 million dollars, we would have another GFC. The economy just can't handle that.

Yeah there is no way this could happen.
Suppose the price goes to high, everybody will stop buying.

So eventually we will go back to a reasonable rate.

I disagree with this. What is "reasonable" for the Bitcon price? Say you want to buy with Bitcoins something which costs $800, like ANTMINER S7 BATCH 10 for example. You buy 2.1 BTC and then you buy the miner with it. Say the price of BTC is not $380 like is today but $1M. Then you just buy 0.000798 BTC and buy the miner with this amount of Bitcoins. Where is the problem?
12158  Economy / Gambling / Re: WIN strategy for binary options - FREE! on: January 31, 2016, 12:12:45 PM
Is it really work, i dont think that. I am also new to binary options and looking for some strategies to make some good money. There are so many negative feedback on this strategy, it would be great if you please post the screenshot of your winning so that people can trust you.

Yes, I'd like to see the screenshots too. But even without seeing them it's obvious to me that there can't be any really working strategy in gambling. All those "strategies" are the reasons people are losing their money trusting to something they shouldn't.
12159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: January 30, 2016, 08:08:06 PM
I see there is so many people trying hard to stop gambling their money because they've losing so much
If you not ready to lose your money, then don't even try to gamble!

Gambling is not a problem by itself. The greed is. You should not think that the more money you have the better you live. You shouldn't even work for money let alone gambling for it.

I know it's easier said than done. Sometimes I have same problems mate. )
12160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 30, 2016, 05:53:45 PM
Yes, that's true. In the long run you will eventually lose, but this refers not only to gambling. Most likely we will lose our battle with Death eventually. So I propose not to get too dramatic about it. Just gamble for fun. )
