12141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between mainnet and testnet in metamask on: July 19, 2018, 04:51:05 PM
so the testnet part can not be used at all to transact?
Read my post again. I just said that you will transact ETH's which aren't worth anything.

If you select testnet, you will transact "fake" ETH (like the name says, ETH meant for testing, which isn't worth anything and has its own blockchain). Basically, play money.

If you select mainnet, you will transact "real" ETH (those who are worth $470 and can be deposited in exchanges, used on ICOs, etc...);
If you select testnet, you will transact "fake" ETH (like the name says, ETH meant for testing, which isn't worth anything and has its own blockchain). Basically, play money.

Report this to your bounty manager.
12144  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live on: July 18, 2018, 05:08:16 PM
Noice. Didn't know about this. Do you think the future versions of the Ledger firmware work with the obsolete ledger chome app though(after it loses support)? Definitely will ask r/ledgerwallet later if I remember.
I dunno. I think they will keep working for some time.

(At least while Ledger doesn't decide to do a full rewrite in the future)
12145  Other / Meta / Re: why was i banned.... on: July 18, 2018, 04:49:58 PM
LOL. I liked your trust rating. Really the kind of user this forum needs.

Your whole post history consists of low quality posts. This isn't bountytalk.
12146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 and ETH, the same? on: July 18, 2018, 04:32:46 PM
Next time stop being lazy and Google.

What are ERC-20 Tokens?
12147  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live on: July 18, 2018, 02:14:05 PM
Chrome is going to cut off support to ALL extensions, not only for Ledger's wallet extensions, so this is in no way ledger's fault; just for your information.

But yea, 64bit is required, so re-install your operating system if you have to. If your hardware can't support 64bit though, unfortunately you have to either buy new computer hardware, or wait for the mobile version of ledger live.
Just a FYI: even when Chrome stops supporting every Chrome app, you can keep using the old Ledger apps (while they are compatible with the hardware) by running them through nwjs.io

Just https://nwjs.io/blog/chrome-apps-support/ and unpacking a release from a project available on https://github.com/ledgerhq should work

12148  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live on: July 18, 2018, 01:52:19 PM
You should be able to interact with a Ledger through Electrum which should run on a 32 bit machine - https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005161925-Set-up-and-use-Electrum
Or use MyEtherWallet to manage/send your ETH/ERC-20 tokens.
12149  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: July 18, 2018, 04:05:05 AM
~
It's not against the forum rules. Officially, you can have as many accounts as you want.

The real problem is what you do with those multiple accounts. If you're going to spam, don't even bother. If you are going to break any campaign/bounty rules (e.g: don't join with multiple accounts), then you also have a problem.
12150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to use Ignore? on: July 17, 2018, 07:00:43 PM
Ohhhh I see there's still a lot to learn in this forum my 8 days, 9 hours and 17 minutes is still not enough, last question will the person know that I ignore his post or the user itself?
No. It doesn't show to anyone.
12151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to use Ignore? on: July 17, 2018, 06:50:02 PM
Check the left-bottom part of someone's post. You will see an "Ignore" hyperlink which will put the user on your ignore list. You can also add/remove users manually by putting their username in this list.

When someone is on ignore, all you will see is "This user is currently ignored" instead of his actual post.

DISADVANTAGES
-Cost
-Expired Certificate
Actually, Let's Encrypt certificates are free forever and you can easily setup a cronjob to automatically renew the certificate every couple of months.
12153  Other / Meta / Re: What this mean ? on: July 17, 2018, 03:41:48 PM
Not anymore.

leet = 1337.

When you have 1337 posts, it will show that instead of your post count.

On a side note, you should have used Google.
12154  Other / Meta / Re: Alternative statistics of user registrations on Bitcointalk 2017-2018 on: July 17, 2018, 02:08:18 PM
What is the reason why forum stats are not visible for 2018 ?
Most likely because it was using too much of the forum's process.

Also, can someone from staff confirm if spam account registrations have reduced in last one week or so ?
I doubt. Why would it? Jr. Members still can join most of the shitbounties announced in the forum. And it only takes 30 days to become one.
12155  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawing from an exchange to another exchange on: July 17, 2018, 01:44:07 PM
I'm pretty sure every exchange has some liquidity in their hot wallet, so they don't need to keep pulling coins from their cold wallet every time someone wants to withdrawal.
12156  Economy / Reputation / Re: Illegal reduction of trust on: July 17, 2018, 01:31:46 PM
Unless you are coming here to simply grab every free bite of bitcoin that bounties have to offer I dont any reason why you are so angry. Grin
LOL. You think so? He literally made "bounty hunting" his job (which is crazy).

You ask why I take it so seriously, because I'm honest Bounty Hunter and because of my physical health, Bounty is the only source of income for me and my family.
If there are any suggestions for solving my problem, please do not be lazy, write ...

12157  Other / Meta / Re: Please Help Me Admin on: July 17, 2018, 12:09:57 AM
Yeah, could you link me a list of accounts that have been recovered over the past 10 days? Fuck me, link me to the list of accounts that have been recovered over the past 2 months. What makes you think OP's an exceptional case that his account will be recovered on a priority basis?
Please quote where in my post I said that OP's case is either: a priority; going to be solved quickly; going to be solved at all.

Quote
If you want us to recover a hacked/lost account, you need to prove that you own it. Typically, the only acceptable method of proving ownership is by signing a message (including current date and desired new email address) using a Bitcoin address or PGP key associated with the account. A Bitcoin address or PGP key is associated with the account only if the account posted the key/address, sent it in a PM, or if it is still listed in the account's profile.

I very rarely recover accounts if you can't prove ownership as described above. There are alternative ways of proving ownership, but they take too much time.
Safe to assume signed message from an ETH address would be considered as an alternative way of proving ownership?
Again, you don't know. Nowhere in his post - or anywhere else (still waiting for pugman's source) -, he says that ETH signed addresses aren't accepted. Either OP can post his signed message and keep bumping it every couple of days/weeks or he can just give up and create a new account/leave the forum. Either way, he has nothing to lose.
12158  Other / Meta / Re: Please Help Me Admin on: July 16, 2018, 11:53:50 PM
Admins don't accept eth messages. Only bitcoin signed message/PGP signed message.
Do you have a source for this?

I've never seen a conclusive answer from any mod/admin.
12159  Other / Meta / Re: Please Help Me Admin on: July 16, 2018, 11:46:16 PM
Stop giving them false hopes lol There are several accounts which have provided signed messages from a bitcoin address and they're months into recovering their accounts without any luck.
You don't know that.

I doubt admins will have time to verify ETH signed message.
*Implying that verifying an ETH signed message is harder than a Bitcoin one.*

What OP can do is, provide signed message to a DT member and get that account flagged until it is recovered (which is unlikely to happen tbh)
Why would this help him? The account is already locked. Read the thread.
12160  Other / Meta / Re: Please Help Me Admin on: July 16, 2018, 11:35:56 PM
Wait. If they accept your ETH signed message, you will get your account back. If not, then there is nothing you can do.

I would also post the signed message and bump the thread from time to time.
