12181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcointalk username can be change ? on: July 10, 2018, 11:57:37 PM
But how about Lauda? I saw that their username was LaudaM in past, so I think that theymos changed it.
Wasn't Lauda a mod at some point?
12182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: my wallet [Suspicious link removed] not receiving bitcoin, why? on: July 10, 2018, 10:39:13 PM
Your IP doesn't influence with your wallet addresses. If you logged to the right wallet, the address should be valid and the transaction should show up.

OP, are you sure that you own this address? Did you double check in the "Receive" tab when sending it to whoever sent you the coins? Maybe your computer is infected with a Clipboard Hijacker that changes the address in your clipboard to the hacker's one?
12183  Other / Meta / Re: Can we stop polls being made in certain parts of the forum? on: July 10, 2018, 10:16:03 PM
I don't see why. If anyone has a valid reason to make a poll, they will. Otherwise, those dumb polls are not doing any harm.
12184  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New Ledger native desktop app to be released on July 9th, 2018 on: July 10, 2018, 09:40:04 PM
Yes, I know and agree the user interface is not the most important. I was just expecting something better looking and currently, I prefer the old interface. At least we can get rid of the browser extension. I am curious to know, anyone knows why they never built an extension for Firefox?
Probably because Chrome apps can run "more standalone". There are Chrome extensions and Chrome apps. With it, you could access the Ledger apps without directly opening your browser, while in Firefox, the wallet would have to be "built-in" in the browser (like your regular Adblock that opens in a little window when you click at their icon next to the URL bar).
12185  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Help! Ledger nano s not shown my bitcoins on: July 10, 2018, 08:44:42 PM
Stop using the Chrome apps for your Ledger wallet and start using the new all-in-one wallet released yesterday: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/live

The coins should appear there.

For example, what can this irrefutable evidence be?
The Letter of Guarantee. A cryptographic signature that can't be manipulated or faked. (minor copy-paste from Loyce)
12187  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Using the Hola VPN chrome extension? Your MEW wallet may have been compromised. on: July 10, 2018, 03:44:33 PM
Is there any problem if I have hola VPN on someohter browser and never accessed my MEW from that browser?
No. An extension on Chrome can't read/modify data on your Firefox browser.

But I always access my MEW from chrome where I have no extension installed.
Then you are safe.
12188  Economy / Service Discussion / Using the Hola VPN chrome extension? Your MEW wallet may have been compromised. on: July 10, 2018, 01:04:33 PM

Urgent! If you have Hola chrome extension installed and used MEW within the last 24 hrs, please transfer your funds immediately to a brand new account!

We received a report that suggest Hola chrome extension was hacked for approximately 5 hrs and the attack was logging your activity on MEW.
Source: https://twitter.com/myetherwallet/status/1016542459185119232

If you have the Hola VPN extension, which is a free VPN for Chrome, uninstall it right now, create a new MEW wallet and move all your coins away immediately.

P.S: This is not an issue with MEW. It's the same as downloading a virus, risking your wallet and blaming your wallet developer.

Guys... don't feed the troll. Why keep discussing with this butthurt troll? You guys created 4 new pages in the signature campaign thread for nothing, and now want to start a new discussion here.

Please just put him on ignore and move on.

@Gyrsur: don't waste your time calling me "DarkStar's buddy". The next thing I'm going to do after pressing the "Save" button is hiding all your posts forever. Bye.
12190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: broadcast a big transaction on: July 10, 2018, 01:29:12 AM
i have 6660 input how can manage that ??
Ok... that's crazy. May I know how much BTC are those 6660 inputs worth?

You could still try out something similar to what I said. I just can't say how much inputs per transaction is the ideal.
12191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: broadcast a big transaction on: July 10, 2018, 01:15:22 AM
You could do multiple transactions of lower size back to yourself until you get fewer inputs, and with them, make the last transaction.

Example:

What you are doing:
- Transaction 1: 20 inputs -> 1 output (A);

What you should do:
- Transaction 1: 10 inputs -> 1 output (A);
- Transaction 2: 10 inputs -> 1 output (B);
- Transaction 3: 2 inputs (output A + output B) -> 1 output (final destination);
12192  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Ledger Wallet - Smartcard security for your bitcoins on: July 09, 2018, 11:11:37 PM
Anyone tried it already?
I liked. The only issue is that they don't support all the coins right now - like NEO and Stellar (P.S: I'm aware they plan to do support them in the future).

A dark mode would also be appreciated. Excited for the future updates!

You require a quantity of merit to rank up.

In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:

12194  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New Ledger native desktop app to be released on July 9th, 2018 on: July 09, 2018, 09:33:40 PM
Seems that they've released it, got this link from their Twitter page: https://www.ledgerwallet.com/live

I find it strange that they put a link to the legacy Chrome apps on that page, considering that Chrome apps won't be alive for much longer, and they could just put those on a separate download page.
The wallet is still in its early days. What if the new wallet isn't working on someone's else computer? Let them fix the bugs and wait until everybody migrates to the new wallet.

Also, removing the old versions of a working wallet isn't something very smart to do. They won't update it, but anyone can use it while still supported.

P.S: Careful with the double posts.
12195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Problem. Please help on: July 09, 2018, 09:31:58 PM
To which wallet did you send the BTC? Did you send it to an exchange, friend's wallet or a wallet that you own? If it was to a wallet that you own, which wallet it that?
12196  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New Ledger native desktop app to be released on July 9th, 2018 on: July 09, 2018, 09:04:20 PM
I prefer the new one. (well, there's no accounting for taste...)

Also, having an all-in-one dashboard is what matters the most (at least for me).
12197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [ASK] 100 Merit On Some Member on: July 09, 2018, 08:47:24 PM
Newbie question. Who gives merit? And can i have some pls
Whoever has any sMerit available. And no, you can't have any just by begging. Start by doing real HQ posts or you will never get any, and consequently, never rank up to join your juicy bounties.

Eclair[1] works fine as well (runs on testnet by default). Here[2] is a quick tutorial.

You can either wait until you rank up to Jr. Member or buy the Cooper Member[1] upgrade.

To see when you can rank up to Jr. Member, you first need to understand the difference between posts and activity. Here[2] is a complete FAQ.

12200  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitMaximum.io - More privacy during Bitcoin exchange / Coin mixer on: July 09, 2018, 01:46:15 AM
Being different than other mixers is valid excuse not to offer Letter of Guarantee. For example ChipMixer does not offer LoG because it is incompatible with chip withdrawal idea. It would be nice to have an additional security measure but sometimes you just cannot do that.
Exactly. ChipMixer doesn't offer a LoG because it's incompatible with how you guys work

AFAIK, BitMaximum works exactly as the other mixers. Send to X address, receive in Y address. So I don't think the "I don't want to copy the other mixers" excuse is valid when this would benefit their users.
