If the client reboots and I login via PuTTY, should a regular mining log be appearing?
no, you can run "top" to see the cpu usage though Thanks, are the 'kworker' entries the miner processes? Also, after editing my crontab, do I press ESC, type ':x', ENTER to save it or is there another syntax when doing this in PuTTY? I apologize if these questions seem silly; I have very little Linux experience. After modifying, press esc key and type :wq, this writes to file and quits vim editor, you can do a sudo crontab -l to double check

Lets say I do not create 20 instances and let them run for 19 hours, how will I know the charges? Will they appear in billing when instance is terminated, or do I have to wait until the end of the month? Is there any way to see current charges, as in do spot instances have the same billing cycles as normal instances? Wouldnt it be too late as I wont know when credits are used?

Thanks, a side note, every action i perform on ypool requires a relogin, for example i press add worker, it ask me to login again

Would you also add the items to be deleted to prevent further billing? My experience was that with Amazon, it's too easy to incur billing just because one item fails to be deleted

2 questions: If i run ubuntu alongside windows, could windows malware infect the ubuntu?
Do you mean installing ubuntu from usb stick? Wouldn't it be real slow if your entire os is on a usb stick?
1. Malware are Operating System specific, no operating system have the same vulnerabilities. 2. There is this thing known as a live cd/usb , basically u install Ubuntu on USB and just boot from it aka portable Ubuntu. And yup you are right it will be slow. Personally I suggest dual booting, Ubuntu on one partition and Windows on the other. Linux is always best for crypto related stuff due to less garbage processes running, you can always have the bare minimum on linux Hopes it clears any doubts

OK, I just did the raffle provably fair style, and it ended up with people who don't have the sig winning. Obviously that's not going to happen, and I'd rather send it to someone who is active here instead of last active weeks ago (the next winner), I've decided to still give out 1 BTC, but as 0.1 BTC to the next ten people who reply here.
You MUST have participated in this raffle to get 0.1 BTC. You MUST link to your post on this thread where you have confirmed before the ending date.
Am I too late?
