Not a scam but it will have a hard time to get traction.  It need a major release at least and get in more exchange.

I have some so I am hoping it takes off but I am not holding my breath.

Look at ARK...specially now since it is a good time to buy (low/cheap right now).

It is a DPOS coin so you can earn 10% annually just by holding it.  If the coin value increases (and it did 1,079% the past 6 months) your earnings just keep compounding.

ARK is the 2nd biggest investment I have.  NEO is #1.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency that pays Weekly-Monthly Dividend? on: October 04, 2017, 04:20:43 PM
Pretty much any Proof of Stake coin pays a "dividend" if you stake it and keep your wallet unlocked.  If you have enough, you'll get shares daily, or even a few times a day.  I'm currently staking Deep Onion which distributes about 10% APR as of now.

Some POS require you run a node...which means you need to keep your computer running (really mining in a sense).  I don't like those.
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency that pays Weekly-Monthly Dividend? on: October 04, 2017, 04:03:58 PM
The two main coins I have that are POS/DPOS are;

NEO => GAS.  NEO generates GAS on time, you can claim them anytime.

ARK => ARK.  ARK payments depend on the schedule your voted delegate does.  Mine pays weekly at estimated 10% return per annum.

I'm confused about NEO.
When I claim my gas nothing happens.
Do I have to wait for it to be 1 whole unit of gas or something?
Thanks,

Nope, I claim anytime.  My first trial claim was for 0.101 GAS and it worked.

What wallet are you using (basically where are your coins)?  I am using NEON right now.

Hi, a newbie in NEO gas, I've too just started using NEON with my NEO, do I have to keep this wallet open for my gas to be collected like a pos coin or just can turn off my PC and open after a year to claim all my accumulated GAS?

That is the beauty of it...you don't have to keep your computer running...NEO just keeps earning you GAS.
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / [RPX] Red Pulse Speculation on: October 04, 2017, 03:57:08 PM
With the whitelist release yesterday, I think it is time to start this.

I am one of the (many) believers of NEO and RPX being it's first token is (to me) very exciting.

=======================================

Just received an email that I got in the RPX sale white list Smiley

Anyone else?

Guys can anyone guide me about the price of the newsletter? How can I subscribe to it and anything else which I should be knowing.

http://palmbeachgroup.com/publications/

...at the bottom it says it is $3,000.  I assume that is annually.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ODN Obsidian - good bet for 2018? on: October 03, 2017, 08:34:55 PM
Wow! Looking at your earlier post and subject trying to create hype which was essentially click bait, you do come across quite pathetic. It will be interesting to compare the performance of these two coins over the next 6 months.
Do us all a favour and do some research...............

Don't feed the troll... Wink

I have 15 coins in my portfolio and ODN is the newest addition.  Other new ones are; LINK, AEON, WTC, GAS and EMC2.

About GAS, I have some for a while but just "mined" via NEO.  Decided to buy some a few weeks ago (good decision if I may say so too).

1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SAFEX coin falls on: October 03, 2017, 06:48:01 PM
I will be buying tonight! Cheesy

If I am you, just HODL
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ODN Obsidian - good bet for 2018? on: October 03, 2017, 06:45:18 PM
My thoughts?

I am holding some.  Can't be simpler than that I think. Wink

Pretty simple alright! Haha
Was hoping for some more insight I suppose. Have just bought some and can see it making great gains and will hodl for sure but thinking of investing a sizeable sum ($500 approx) and trying to get some views on whether it'd be a good investment or not at the current price

I think it has good future.  Good team, good product.  Unless you got into the ICO, this is probably the best time to buy.  May dip a bit (or not) but if you HODL, it will be back up soon enough.

I just bought in this morning actually and it gained some already.  Would have been a lot more if the BTC transfer to Cryptopia was a bit faster.

1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Antshares/ NEO [NEO] on: October 03, 2017, 03:38:01 PM
anyone else having problems with Bittrex mobile app? keeps freezing up in the market place when trying to buy neo. tried using different carrier with different phones with the same results.

Growing pains.  I think Bittrex over extended themselves and can't handle the capacity.

This is true on my laptop as well (for several days now) so not just on your app.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: red pulse ICO worth it? on: October 03, 2017, 03:35:16 PM
What are the thoughts on this first ICO on NEO platform? Thinking about investing 200 NEO in it,  the team looks pretty good. 30% bonus on day 1 of crowd sale. If you are 1 of the 100 people selected for pre sale you get 40% bonus. 1 neo = 1,000 rpx coins.

What dose everyone think of this ICO. This would be my first ICO investment
Price now is increasing so it's a good sign for people which invests in these some time ago.

Good sign but actually bad for those who will join.

Price increase (while expected) doesn't matter if you already have the NEO you need BUT it is bad if you need/want to purchase more for the ICO.
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: red pulse ICO worth it? on: October 03, 2017, 03:25:05 PM
Anyone have an update when they will release the white list?

I am expecting it around now but nothing (yet).

Thanks.
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Super Low caps - which is most legit? on: October 03, 2017, 02:39:04 PM
I was looking a low market caps because of higher potential returns. But i also eliminated coins that had premined, or very have low coin supply. these coins are the only ones with decent websites/roadmap, also have a certain amount of organic growth. A couple of them have anonymous dev teams, which does not inspire my confidence. but ultimately, these were the only coins worth having a look (i went through everysingle coin/token in the  100k-1mil cap on coinmarket) so yes i did do my own research, was looking more for consensus

IMHO, your approach is not that good.

Remember that you are investing and as such look for the return.  It is about percentage.

Consider all factors; market cap, coin qty, unit cost, ranking, etc. For me the most important factor is the volume.  No matter how good the dev team, the project, etc....if the people/masses don't support it, it won't go anywhere.  The best indicator of that is the daily volumes.  HOWEVER, watch for pump and dumps.  Your range is sadly the most susceptible to it.  You need to look at historical data for consistent growth/volume.  This is a general rule that may not fit all.   New coins for example may not fit well with this so adjust as needed.

It also depends on your goal.  I have 3 categories; short, medium, and long term coins.  Each require a different approach to them.

Hope this helps.
