1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEx: Fee shares-UPDATE: NEED PAYOUT ADDRESS FOR CURRENT SHARE OWNERS on: January 24, 2014, 04:04:25 PM
anybody see it?

im waiting more 5 hours. WTF

i was asleep. get a grip wouldya. besides this is a fee share thread. if you want to lodge a complaint, do so in the scam accusations or better yet, stop using our site. we've stated repeatedly that withdrawals are subject to admin approval during the beta phase. this is for the protection of the customers money, and not meant to be an annoyance to you. i am sorry that i can't stay awake 24/7 to process all withdrawals. bear with me.

dont worry i dont use again.
if you cant stay 24/7 you need write online-offline status to site. Maybe i see and not get withdraw, and go on trade. Beacuse after withdraw request, cant cancel it.
But i lost 5-6 hours and price go -%30.

i still waiting for withdraw.

you are not waiting. i processed all withdrawals as soon as i woke up, unless you were the guy who tried to withdraw asr to a bitcoin address. i can't remember the username right off hand. check your balance just in case. canceled withdrawals refund to the account holder.

yes you processed it. i edit my post.
if anything i got wrong sorry, but i think im right this situation.
you need show admin status.

that is a good idea. i'll add it to the settings menu and add a display to the index page, and some type of notification to the withdrawal page. The exchange is still in beta, i'm working very hard to get all the ducks in a row. So far we haven't seen anything that doesn't add up but i'm still nervous about adding automated withdrawals without getting some professional eyes on the code first.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenEX-scam? on: January 24, 2014, 04:02:07 PM
i will say this before leaving this thread:

The exchange is still beta. There are alot of improvements to be made. I work on the site everyday, i built the market overview yesterday, made some more revisions to the deposit script and attempted to trim some fat in places. all this while processing your withdrawal requests, answering your support tickets, etc.

I'm trying by best, and if you can't accept that you might as well cash out all your coins and leave. I work on this system everyday to make it better, but i am only mortal. I can't be your superman.

I never did. You closed my tickets twice. Stop bullshiting around ! Your software is fucked up and you need to fix it. So better start admiting your own fault !
i close your ticket to get it out of my way. i expect you to reopen it when you reply so that i can see a new reply has been posted. the software is not fucked up. you spam the deposit page during pending withdrawals forcing a new address to your account. if you deposit and wait to confirm before generating a new address, you don' t have the problem.

You're NOT supposed to close any ticket until your customer  says so. Secondly, when you close the ticket it doesn't open up even after I reply. It stays closed ! Another fucking bug that you wont admit. I had to manually click on OPEN to open it. Thirdly, stop lying. You only close the ticket, because you dont wanna deal with the issue anymore, so that's your way of neglecting it. I spam the deposit page ? Guess what ? Pending deposits also dont work ! It says 0 24/7 and no new pending deposits appear. Another bug that you wont admit. I, so far have made only 2 deposits and none of them appear. STOP FUCKING LYING ! Your system is fucked up and you don't wanna admit your fault, neither you want to fix it. You simply dont care about it and you're only running to earn some $$$. This shit only happens on your exchange and never on other exchanges who're just as new as you're. All things point back to YOU ! I'm only waiting for cryptsy and others to add few more currencies which you happen to have at the moment and then I will never login to your crap exchange ever again. Screw this shit. I'm done.

yes you have to open the ticket. if you are this unhappy why don't you leave?

OP: i can fix your issues, you just have to give me time. i'm a one man operation at the moment.

Mark, you stop responding to the ticket. am i supposed to read your mind?

shaber: could you please explain?
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]{OpenEx} Relaunched! on: January 24, 2014, 03:32:01 PM
After a whirlwind of a week, i am happy to announce that we're open once more. deposit and use with caution, everything appears to be working normally but that does not mean its safe yet. I would test with only small amounts. we need to see how the system holds up for now. I would say its much more secure than before, especially on the trade and withdrawal page where we've had the most costly of problems.

https://openex.pw

Looking good. You should consider adding Metiscoin (MTC). Its based off quark with a couple different hash functions. Ypool is mining it so there would be a lot of volume!

i've been hearing alot about this coin from a chinese friend. thanks for the heads up, i'll definitely check this out.
1229  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Redecentralization: building a robust cryptocurrency developer network on: January 24, 2014, 05:32:56 AM
Justice, I will not only donate to this, but will ardently seek grants from the foundation for this cause.

As a hardware dev/scientist, I find the protocol too inaccessible.  And I'm a pretty smart guy.  So let's get this going - I'm all ears and will help however I can.

Can we get gavin and gmaxwell to lead a workshop or two?  With terminal sessions? deepceleron is knowledgeable, but sort of mean  Wink

Latin America...well Miami is right there.  Are you going tomorrow, Justice?

deepceleron isn't mean, he just smells his own farts sometimes.

I would say a good start is a locally developed wallet software based off bitcoind, at least we need to have someone with enough understanding of the reference client code in every continent....
Wallets should really have absolutely nothing to do at all with full node implementations. The reference code is like that because it kinda had to start out that way, but that's not the right way to engineer a clean slate solution.

There's no reason to have more than one node per site (home network or business LAN) with one copy the blockchain. That node should run 24/7/365.

Wallets, on the other hand, are one per user, per device and only need to run on demand. Wallets need to be smart about synchronizing across multiple devices because it's not 1994 any more and we all have multiple computing devices, and sometimes even use more than one at the same time.

Moving forward by building solutions that look like Bitcoin-Qt is exactly the wrong way to go.

I agree with this post, and especially with the last sentence which i have highlighted in bold. Old c coder stated in another thread that the biggest detriment to acceptance of bitcoin is the fact that its developed with the qt library and boost libraries. We need not only a clean slate solution, but more platform specific builds focusing on the commericial sector, such as windows server and windows 8/windows 8 phone.

I would also be willing to donate to such an effort.

cryptsy coins e coinex all use node.js
Any source on this? Python, Ruby or C/C++ are more likely.
Node.js was not mature enough when these exchanges started, and there is a lack of real experts on Node.js.
If they do use Node, then they simply do it the wrong way - its capable of alot of perfomance.

To mikellev: since when is Oracle a programming language or platform? It's a company behind the MySQL database engine Smiley

i talk to the owners of each exchange frequently. i have intimate knowledge of each platform.
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - NEW EXCHANGE] | www.CoinMarket.io | OFFICIAL THREAD on: January 23, 2014, 03:34:03 PM
Excellent job on the exchange. It is fast and nice to eye. Keep up the good work and our coins in safe place Cheesy

Thank you. We will be doing our best to maintain a secure and solid platform with excellent speeds.
Having said that, dont hold crazy amounts of coins with us, just in case (hackers will always attempt to get your money).
We are using cold/offline wallets for a large part your funds, but not 100% ofcourse.

How well do you think this site will scale with the increasing number of users? It seems all the alt coin exchanges right now are having problems with this.

The exchange will not be allowed to grow without maintaining its amazing perfomance. We will scale to as many servers/cpus as needed.

The technology we use (Node.js, Redis, Mongo, MySQL etc) is highly scalable and performs well in the context of an exchange,
which is event-based in nature. We dont believe any of the other exchanges are using Node.js yet (if anybody does, then its btc-e).
