forget my last comment doing pool mining now but still cant get it to work, this is my batch file code

cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://norteamerica.megamineros.com:3334 -u markandrew.1 -p x -I 17 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 12000
pause

i put pause in as the window just shut down straight away after launching, is cgminer the wrong miner?

please help! Huh

are you starting the batch file from the directory that contains cgminer?
what is the last line you see before "Press any key to continue . . ."?

in same folder as cgminer, and yes it says press any key to continue, im thinking it may be the version of cgminer 4.3.5
before that it says 'cgminer: --scrypt: unregonized option'
Try cgminer 3.7.2, newer versions do not support scrypt anymore. Otherwise try sgminer instead.

Here's the plan:
1.) we're reducing the total number of coins
2.) we're reducing the block reward. Period.
3.) we're actively talking to exchanges and existing gambling outfits to increase adoption
4.) we're planning adding features to improve service integration. We'll start a discussion soon about improving the API and maybe even adding AMQP pub/sub transaction notification
5.) scrypt asics are coming next 8 weeks that will strengthen and possibly legitimize scrypt coins
6.) devs are working on possibly introducing low cost ATMs that support bitcoin litecoin and casinocoin. I'm hitting this pretty hard today and if it's possible I'm making that available to the community even if it ends up meaning open sourcing atm firmware to the community. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
7.) casinocoin is out there promoting integration with a new casino and is committed to supporting the coin by keeping casinocoin city alive. Check out his free roll poker events. This guy is honest and is working hard behind the scenes for you guys. He can park his shoes under my bed anytime. Lol
8.) you guys now get a voice. If you have an idea post it. Devs are not dictators. We'll do everything we can to implement features that you want. Be active you have a voice.

If you want to sell your coins go for it. We'll miss you, but I'll still buy you a beer when you come to Tokyo. You'll just have to deal with my gloating. Haha

Casinocoin is the best branded niche scrypt coin. I wouldn't waste my time if I didn't believe in it and I have 2.5 million coins to prove it. Gambatte! ( Japanese for good luck!)

My question about reducing the number of coins was because i see CSC in the future as replacement for real casino chips. So if you would like to see 1 chip is 1 CSC i think it would be good to have a big supply of coins, so that was behind my question about lowering the amount of available coins. If there are no more than 60 milion coins in the world its no problem. Or if you all agree that instead of a 1,10, 100 or 1000 dollar chip you create a 1u, 10u 100u and 1 CSC (u=1 being 1000th CSC) crypto chip i am allright with that. Don't get me wrong here, not criticizing anything here, just try to get the reason clear behind the decision of reducing the amount of coins.

Those ATMs would be awesome! A while back i also mentioned the idea of putting a CSC direct deposit/withdraw mechanism on slot machines, would be the next step! Man i seriously need to find some time to finish the mobile wallet i started, that together with the ATM would be totally cool !!

@GoldSeal -> thanks for stepping up to the plate

If anyone wants to view the changes to the code please view here: https://github.com/casinocoin/casinocoin/tree/casinocoin-dev
GoldSeal was kind enough to make the changes. We will implement this update soon and initiating the following;

Total coin supply reduced to: 63000000
Block reward reduced to: 10
Min Version = x: Pushing old clients out
New Version = 1.3.x

Anything else minor that should be done in the update?

I have been offline in regards to casinocoin for the last few weeks so maybe i missed some things. What is the reason to reduce the total coin supply? I would think the coin would benefit from a larger amount of available coins? By reducing the amount and the block reward you probably hope the coin value will rise but i doubt that in its current state that will be the case. The idea behind all the cryptos is that at some point in time when the last coin is mined the miners will make their money with the transaction fees. Until a coin is widely accepted the amount of transactions is still low and thus a coin will loose the interest of miners in the future. I would opt for keeping the amount of coins the same but reduce the block reward to lengthen the period of time the miners will receive block rewards to give the coin a better chance of surviving in the long run. Just my two cents ...

Just found out my firewall had not a hole in it for port 47950  Embarrassed Went from 0 to 15 connections in less than a seccond after allowing it so 162.242.217.120:47950 is now a valid node again  Grin

Can't log into megamineros.com/CSC/, says account locked (just created) and to check my Email, no email came.  Had problems creating the account too, took like 10 tries......looks like you may have a problem with signups on your site perhaps?

Hang in there guys, i will do a complete check of signup and login issues today, ... got some log file digging to do  Cool

still reset/email/pw issues with both web pools. Thanks anyways, i'll move along elsewhere.

What browser do you use? I know there are issues with Safari, Google Chrome should be allright!

Could the two pools raise the CSC transfer limit ? 250 is quite low Tongue

Just raised the threshold limit to 2000 at Bitraise.me
I set it to 2000 as well on https://www.megamineros.com/CSC. Better not set it any higher, ... don't want to become a CSC bank instead of a mining pool Wink

Did a recompile, and after a complete blockchain update it seems we are now on the correct block chain!!! So https://www.megamineros.com/CSC is back online again! Sorry for the lost shares between 445000 and 445900 those where on the wrong chain and can not be recovered.

It's ok! Thanks for reporting. We can mine now at mega again!

Edit: I want to do a password reset on my account there, but is not enabled?

Enter your PIN and click on Unlock. You should then receive an email with a link to edit your account. Open that link and then you should be able to change your password.

Just checked the server at www.megamineros.com/CSC, and even though i updated to the new version yesterday it seems like we are on the wrong block chain today after the fork?Huh Am i missing something here, there is not anything else i need to change do i??

Kind Regards,

Thank you for all the hard work. I started working on it as well but did not have the time to finish it. Thankfully there are others who stepped up to the challange!! You can keep me on the developers list for future bug fixes and improvements whenever needed!

My pool https://www.megamineros.com/CSC is also updated to the new version!

Whats your guys usernames on GIT, :
anyone who is interested in developing please post!
All code must be commented and any major changes must be discussed with the other developers before implemented.
Besides the obvious removal of KGW and addition of digishield of darkgravity.

As well does anyone know who had created the original Reddit thread as its now locked.

My git username is ajochems, you can add me. Simply work using pull requests it is easy to maintain the tree and keep it clean.

I have setup the entire stack for windows C++ compiling with Mingw and  MSys (i have written a ANPR application using OpenCV with that). I installed the Qt stack and tried today to compile the windows wallet but did not succeed as of yet. I managed to compile the following dependencies:
- boost_1_55_0
- db-4.8.30.NC
- libpng-1.6.10
- miniupnpc-1.9
- openssl-1.0.1g
- pkg-config-0.28
- qrencode-3.4.3
- zlib-1.2.8

Now compiling the Qt windows wallet i am stuck at the libleveldb.a library, so i still need to resolve that. I will continue tommorrow and i am confident i have the windows wallet compiled this week. Will let you all now when done, than we have to implement the fix, fork the coin and have everybody move over to the new fork. People will not lose their coins that way! Only transactions after the last block on the old chain will be lost, .. the new block chain will be the truth.

May have found the attacker/Pool and it could be unintentional. Will keep everyone posted(im on mobile atm)

MegaMineros pool-
440126   48 left   tmack2   11/05 05:19:28   4.43   50.00    18,151   6,829   1,544   8.51
Blockchain-
Block   Approx Time   Transactions   Coins Transferred   Total Coins   Difficulty
440127   2014-05-10T22:21:50-07:00   2   100.00000000   21,669,235   0.935
- See more at: http://altexplorer.net/chain/CasinoCoin#sthash.LG8wsSnV.dpuf

That is not the case here  Wink. tmack2 has been mining at my pool for a long time and he has not been the cause neither has MegaMineros been the attacker. We did find the last block before the attack/exploit took place but i can see from log files that after block 440127 there simply have been no new blocks on the network and hashrate did not increase on our pool during that time.

@casinocoin, no news from transcoder? If he has disappeared the only way to save this coin is solving the exploit and fork the blockchain asap!

what is happening on the CSC network? No more blocks after block 440127?
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Casino Gaming | Kimoto Enabled! on: May 07, 2014, 10:17:40 AM
Set a deadline that everyone can agree on as fair and then nominate a new dev or dev team. Also give plenty of time/notification for people to be informed of the fork.

New dev/team can bring some excitement and attention back into the coin if done right.

Thoughts?

Edit: this new dev team does not have to exclude transcoder if he finds the time to get involved again. As we have seen it is hard to rely on one person to carry the work so a group of people with the skills and time would be preferred.

I have some C++ programming experience and would love to help out as well. For me the problem is currently time. My day job does not allow me to even finish the mobile wallet i started (and which is about 75% finished). Currently i am able to keep my https://www.megamineros.com/csc pool running but nothing more. Keeping that pool up is even costing me money at this moment but for now i will keep it running. I can not seem to get the efficieny down though. It keeps hovering arround at about 110% while i would expect it to go to arround 100% over longer periods. There are still some big hashrate changes that influence the network a lot allthough the KGW did improve it a lot.

Anyway if transcoder seems to have vanished from the face of the earth we need to act. Does transcoder own http://www.casinoco.in/ or somebody else? Forking will not do this coin any good and should be a last resort, better try to find and convince transcoder to upsize the dev team! If we are talking bug fixing or small changes i can help out but not more than a few hours per week!

I just created some sell orders for both BTC and USD against CSC near current rates to get things going over at c-cex. Not tried depositing usd and buying csc yet but if all works people can buy and play with csc very easy. It would be nice if c-cex would support auto-sell feature, then i could have my miners sell automatically at buying price.
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Casino Gaming | Kimoto Enabled! on: March 14, 2014, 07:54:00 AM
It's all a bit technical now for the avarage user to get hold of casinocoin.

We can see on cccitypoker.com, which is a very nice website, that to get hold of CSC you need to go to an external exchange AND you need Bitcoins to get them, so you need to first go to a fiat to BTC and then to cryptsy for BTC to CSC then cryptsy to cccitypoker.com.

This is ridiculious. Do you really expect the avarage users to bother reading up how to do this, and besides, it sounds like a scam when it's so hard to deposit your money.

It should take fiat directly (via credit/debit card), then automatically exchange fiat to CSC to use as 'play money' and then when they want to cash out they can be given the option of withdrawing CSC to their private offline/locally stored wallet, or they can cash out in fiat (with an automatic conversion done for them, just like the deposit). They should then be made aware if they do send to locally stored wallet that they can send them coins to any other casino that takes casino coin which saves them entering their card details on multiple casino websites, and/or they can sell them coins for fiat directly on an exchange if, say their favourite casino is offline or goes out of business (to ease their mind and offer security).

I would have thought this would be common sense. It's a shame that whoever made this website did a lot for looks and gaming functionality, yet made it so damn near impossible for the average user to actually use it and spend their money at their casino.

If we want to make it big we HAVE to start including the non-technical minded people which is 99.9% of the population. The PC did it. Smartphones did it. Why can't we?

Anyway, this project still excites me due to its potential and benefits to not actually technically gambling with 'real (fiat) money'. If done correctly this could be a great coin to watch.
I will respond more thoroughly later when I'm not on mobile, but really.. Don't you think we would have thought all of these things over. The whole point of casinocoin is to eliminate the need to use a credit card/third party to deposit money.
Using any form of credit card/fiat processing would also require multiple licenses(tens of thousands of dollars). I understand exactly how difficult and hard it is for someone to get csc at the moment. We are working on a method to deposit ltc or btc to the website and you recieve chips and can only cashout in csc but first will need a massive amount to back the wallet.

edit: Although i do agree.. It was a bit of a bad move on my part to release this when there is 1 no way to purchase csc directly, and two no payment system open to other casino operators. There is simply not enough resources on my end to make either of those two happen beyond allowing ltc/btc - CSC at the poker website with the option to cashout in CSC.

Making deposits in BTC, LTC or whatever other currency for that matter is not an issue. All big exchanges have API's for automation of all transactions. So you could create an engine where users deposit BTC or LTC and you make the CSC purchase on behalf of the user. In case of LTC you would have to convert first from LTC to BTC and then from BTC to CSC and there would be extra transaction fees in play but based on the actual market info you could give the user an indication how much CSC his BTC or LTC would result in, then make the actual transactions and deposit the CSC to his account. This could actually take place pretty quick if you use the lowest sell price for buying and the highest buy price for selling. For the user it would be all transparent. See https://www.cryptsy.com/pages/api for the api that cryptsy offers.

As @casinocoin points out i think the biggest problem here is not ideas or possibilities, it is the available resources in money and man hours for programming available. If i could make a living of full time working on CSC  i would do so but for now it does not pay my mortgage so i still need my daytime job and do the rest in my spare time. That is why the mobile wallet takes more time than i would like it to be but for now things are like they are. If more people jump onto the CSC bandwagon we could progress faster. Taking fiat directly is a different ballgame altogether as @casinocoin points out. I think if a user only needs to gets his hands on BTC and then can play a CSC casino it would be no problem at all. Using CSC in the background and as 'chips' in the casino would be a great benefit for CSC already!
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] CasinoCoin - The Premiere Coin for Casino Gaming | Kimoto Enabled! on: March 01, 2014, 10:40:34 AM
Time for an update on the mobile wallet project, yes i am still working on it but ran into some issues. For the first implementation i developed a version where both casinocoind daemon and database were kept in sync with all transactions mapped to accounts. So querying both database and daemon would result in the same. I thought that would be extra secure in being able to trace back transactions to its account. In the end doing some bulk transaction tests on the system i found that the casinocoind could not keep up its performance in regards to querying accounts. The underlying database is not suitable for that.

This caused me to redesign the entire backend system now heavily depending on the database. Due to these issues the project got a bit delayed but now the same backend will be usable for a web wallet as well. In fact the web wallet and mobile wallet will be one and the same!

In about a week i will release the first beta version and i need some testers for that. So send me a PM with your email address and i will include you in the test.
