I just keep finding blocks!

@kheg

yes the fractional amounts will be TX fees incorporated into the block.

That's what I thought.  Just means KDC is getting moved around on the network now instead of just being mined. Smiley

I may have to set up a pool for this one.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT] Klondike Coin, Join the Goldrush.. LAUNCHED NOW! RARE COIN! on: January 10, 2014, 10:11:26 PM
I'm doing the pool thing now. No solo blocks for over an hour.

2 blocks here in the last hour.  What's funny is that I'm getting additional fractional amounts in additional to the 77 coins.  I assume those are TX fees that I'm getting paid?  (Sorry, solo mining is kinda new to me)
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SCRYPT] Klondike Coin, Join the Goldrush.. LAUNCHED NOW! RARE COIN! on: January 10, 2014, 08:11:32 PM
yeah. off by a zero (wihch is huge , yes sorry) , but still roughly  700,000 thousands

Honestly, let's say maybe 500,000 coins got "burned" in the launch.  That'd be the equivalent ~2.5% "premine", but with the guarantee it never gets spent.  Though I do feel bad that it was done on the backs of some honest miners.  Undecided

On the other hand, if those coins are being stashed away by pool owners and this coin pops up with an exchange value in the .0001 range (where it probably should be), then that's BAD.

Dear pool owners. could you post how many blocks you found?

There were roughly 90k mined blocks last night. Where are all this coins? total hash net was bellow 40 m/s so that rules out a lot of solo miners. not to mentioned almost everyone here was crying help because they were signed in pools

this is almost 7 million coins. what happened to them ?

seriously there were two pools running and they had about 60 workers all together. coinarmy with roughly 45 users and the other with 15.

Check your math.

?
{
"blocks" : 10195,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 0.99723055,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : true,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 5085,
"networkhashps" : 112735579,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

Kind of impossible to have 7 million coins out there at this point, especially since that would represent over 1/3 of the total coins for this alt.

Well if you want a better exchange on coinex they have a twitter im sure if enough people sent them tweets asking it could be put on. https://twitter.com/CoinexPW

CoinEx staff has already said numerous times that they won't be adding coins until they fix current bugs and add current features that they're working on.

I dunno, other than the pool issues... is it just me or does this seem like one of the better COIN launches in recent memory?

Quiet, friendly, not a lot of hype, nobody really trying to get rich fast, decent parameters, not a lot of speculation (ironic given the coin's name).

Found about 9 blocks so far.  4 have counted, the rest rejects.

What would YOU do for a Klondike Coin?
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SBC] From Death Comes Life – The Rebirth of StableCoin - URGENT UPDATE on: January 07, 2014, 01:31:26 PM
Well I think I just lost a few SBC, it appears Coins-E is on the wrong fork.  Moved some coins out and the transaction doesn't even show up on the blockchain.  I'm not holding my breath that they'll do anything about it.

Just open a ticket, I lost a shitload of NVC, and LTC to that site back over the summer when the admins just up and disappeared. The new management seems to be pretty legit and helpful, I got all my missing coins back plus 8192 QRK that had been stuck in limbo since the day it got listed on Coins-e.

Best of luck getting your coins back!

I did.  We'll see what happens.

Let's see, 1,000,000 EAC at just current exchange rates - you all are happily "donating" a grand total of 3.67 BTC worth of EAC to the op?  Suckers.

If you know how CoinEx's registration system works, you'll know how easy it would be for that NOT to be BigVern.

1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][SHC]Pre-Launch - Sheercoin, the minimalist cryptocurrency on: January 01, 2014, 06:41:34 PM
I rather like it.  It does take out a bit of the anonymity, since you have a return path for the recipient with every single transaction pair, but it does make the transactions themselves more audit-able. I think businesses might actually find this concept more appealing, since they can validate things like refunds with a customer much more easily rather than having a customer say "No, I never got it."
