Is the power cable you used the same one that came with the PSU? PSU power cables are often not interchangeable as they may have different pinouts, even though the connectors fit. If you've used the same setup before and it was working, then it could be a faulty PSU. I would call the manufacturer to see if it's covered under warranty. I definitely wouldn't try using that PSU again.

Without knowing the exact configuration of the system it's impossible to know how much power the system will use. The system requirements are a recommended SUGGESTION and are often WAY overstated so you don't easily over extend the power capacity of your PSU when running the system at max TDP.

Are you sure you connected it to a VGA port on the PSU? If it's a faulty PSU it may be under warranty.

I think we will soon see a new phase of mining in the near future. The current POW model of mining to secure the network is a huge waste of resources and way overdone. New projects are coming online looking for ways to purpose the enormous computing power that is POW mining and harness it to solve real world problems that are currently very expensive and time consuming for the current systems of limited capability by comparison. Richard Heart is spearheading a project based on Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling and bringing it to a very interesting tokenized POW model that could be a game changer with similar projects to follow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0yAl9i8avw

Smarter than an idiot that thinks the Relive drivers include the blockchain dag fix. LOL
Ain't going to be me though. You got that right!

Make sure Windows didn't update the drivers automatically. On Windows 10 Pro you can set Windows Update to not include drivers. Type 'gpedit' in the search box and in the Group Policy Editor navigate to Administrative Templates ==> Windows Components ==> Windows Update and set 'Do not include drivers with Windows Update' to enabled.

The best coin to mine is the one you have when it goes up 10X+. Finding out which coin that's going to be is up to you. Some good indicators are a coin that solves a problem or implements a solution better than other coins and has an active development team and community.

That's the Relive driver release, which don't include the blockchain driver fix. The driver that ships with v1709 also works (didn't test if it removes the limit), but doesn't have the Dag fix and the blockchain drivers cause the Windows UI to be unstable, so hopefully AMD will update the blockchain driver for v1709 as well.
I just told you it has blockchain drivers in it... Saying it does and confirming it does are two different things. The release notes for the beta Relive drivers don't say anything about including the blockchain drivers.

The problem is the share difficulty is too high for the current block times of <14 seconds. By the time your worker gets the new job and sends back the result, the network has moved to a new block more often now, which results in a stale share. Pools need to adjust the share difficulty to match the current block times.

I'm on Bitcoin Gold slack, from what they said, you can't solo mine it.
That makes no sense. If you can mine on a pool, you should be able to solo mine. Whether it makes sense to solo mine is a different question. Hey the Bitcoin Gold devs told us that in the slack. Ppl were upset. I really don't think the devs know what is going on as they've changed things quite a few times now.. ico, no ico, no premine, premine, the list keeps going on and on. Yep, lots of unanswered questions and the lack of transparency is definitely a problem. An anonymous lead developer isn't a good sign either. Be careful trying to claim your 'free' BTG.

These prices are some kind of joke? They have no chance at this price to make any success with this card. I hope it's just a mistake, because otherwise they have made an epic fail. I agree. At more than >$450 you are better off buying a 1080 or two RX 570 4GB cards for $250 or less each.

The AMD blockchain driver works with the v1709 build but the problem is the Windows UI becomes unresponsive and unstable. I did a clean install back to v1703 until a new driver is released. Supposedly there will be an updated driver later this year that will increase the maximum limit of 8 of the same GPU type in Windows 10. Looks like the driver that ships with Windows v1709 fixes the 8 card limit for Nvidia. There is also a beta driver release from AMD for the v1709 update, but I didn't try it since it probably doesn't include the Dag fix. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/radeon-software-crimson-relive-fall-creators-update-beta-driver-download.html
