1221  Other / Off-topic / Free knowledge vs certificate on: March 09, 2023, 12:06:20 PM
1. I really get confused thinking about this, is it important to have certificate of everything i learn, or any skill,
you know in this internet world, how easy it is to gain knowledge through books, free MIT videos on youtube, youtube, educational websites, etc.
is it important to have certificate of everything i have learned,
can i get job in companies, after showing my knowledge about that specific skill/subject/ without certificates.

2. Blockchain and money course by Gary gensler , you may know about this, but it is interesting MIT course for free

1222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will you feel when your government make BTC legal? on: March 09, 2023, 11:37:03 AM
I will throw a big party to host all the bitcoiners in my environment to join me to celebrate.
You don't show your bank balance to anyone , so why you want to show your BTC.
Quote
My way to class this morning with some of my lovely course mate, someone raise this question that if our government decide to adopt BTC or make BTC legal
making bitcoin legal tender means this would give bitcoin greater legitimacy as a medium of exchange and could lead to greater adoption of the cryptocurrency by merchants and new individuals. it would also mean that Bitcoin transactions would not be subject to capital gains taxes in the country, where it is recognised as legal tender.
Quote
how will i feel?
i will feel great about this, if it will became legal tender in my country.
Quote
Will you be among the people that will be angry
no i am not among them.
but there are also some risks and challenges associated with using a highly volatile cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange.
1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would we solve this problem about payments on: March 09, 2023, 08:02:38 AM
How are you accepting payments from users? Do you just generate an address and give it to people? If you can give more details on what you're trying to achieve, we might be able to give you better alternatives to work with but it looks like you should use a payment processor and generate a unique address for each user/invoice.

there is just a qr code sticked , there people can scan and pay in bitcoins ,
please suggest me other methods of taking payment if it's a better choise than i am using,
it will really help me to take payment seamlessly
1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How would we solve this problem about payments on: March 09, 2023, 07:07:39 AM
I figured out a important point in taking crytpo as payment methods,
let you have given a customer a $101 worth of goods, then he paid you $101 in bitcoin ok
than 5 customer comes and 5 of them purchase goods worth $46, $108, $106, $89, $100, respectively ok then those all pay you via bitcoin in price of that time of one bitcoin
than sometimes later like 3 hours later, you think that one women's payment is missing you have bill but there is many transaction(in your phone or the address you used to take payments from customers) of bitcoin like 10 to 20 transaction then how would you figure out that the women had paid you payment or not, because that time the bitcoin price was different and now is different , and seeing only address doesn't tell you name of the person or face of the person.

BTCI am reading the bitcoin whitepaper but not understanding this red boxed terms,
here satoshi talk about nodes, honest nodes collectively control more cpu power .
my question is what type of nodes are honest nodes , how the nodes decide network to be honest and how would dishonest nodes can change the network or attack the network or hack the network

https://ibb.co/VtChQLn

dishonest nodes
would send out blocks containing bad things that do not fit the rules
things like:
transactions that are trying to spend funds already spent
moving funds without signature proofs of ownership of funds
adding random non payment data like monkey pictures
trying to give a bigger block reward than what the rules allow
[insert anything bad that does not fit bitcoins utility purpose/ethos/rules]

honest nodes
agree(consent) to the same rules and dont allow rules to change unless they majority consent by being ready with a new ruleset ready to check honestly. before the new rule activates(gets used on the network)

dishonest node can move the funds ?, or they can move the funds if they have more than 50% control over the network

The third link to an image of the conversation is the same as the first one. There’s either one more image than there should be, or the third link points to the wrong image.

Who said the following ?
Quote
Let me send you her iG so that you see if if she is genuine because she said she help people win after investing then she takes 10 percent

The while text bubbles seems to be her and the grey yours, but the screen capture indicates that the grey corresponds to "replied to you", which would make the grey text bubbles hers.

Either way, it’s pretty clear where that is heading to …

the grey is like how we make reply of that specific message by holding on that text than options comes copy reply delete
so taping reply it becomes grey
hope your doubt will be clear

Op, she's not a newbie it's either she's trying to look for an opportunity to invite you to a pump and dumb group chat where they can make money of you when you truly buy whatever coin they might predict the price but the way the conversation went it seems like she was truly a newbie but I'm suspecting that she has an ulterior motive behind her Convo because it's quite rare to see someone message you just because you have Bitcoin logo on your profile pics and truly wants to learn more about Bitcoin.

But Op one thing you should take note of; no matter how amateur they may sound please try as much as possible not to click any link sent to you or maybe she ask you to download some file that contains a problem she's currently trying to fix or what word she might use to mask it. Don't click, don't be cocky and then you do something stupid make sure you're very cautious because you can not tell what's going through some random strangers mind.

nice advice,
newbie should avoid this mistake
to do something unusual a link is enough for them
many threads are there in gambling and fraud section of this forum, there lot of threads are discussed like i clicked the link and my funds are gone
1229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how do i quote multiple people in one post on: March 07, 2023, 03:06:32 PM
I was replying but i want to reply multiple person can anyone tell me how to quote multiple people or posts like this👇

always quote only the person you are addressing and to whom you answer. if you want to give a reply to more users, then quote one by one and in between give the reply you planned.
there are cases, but very rarely, when this kind of practice is acceptable, such as making a reference by multi-quoting.

i want to quote them all because all are asking one question which have one answer

1231  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: How To Invest In Nasdaq From India? on: March 07, 2023, 02:59:47 PM
NASDAQ is a US-based stock market or stock exchange based in New York City. It’s the same as NSE or BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) in India. If you’re looking to give your portfolio some foreign exposure, Nasdaq is one of the best ways to go about it.

However, investing in Nasdaq stocks from India is still not as simple as one would expect, which is why we’ve brought you the easiest way to invest in Nasdaq from India.

What is a stock market?
A stock market is a place or platform through which stock shares of publicly listed companies are purchased and sold.

NYSE, Nasdaq, NSE, and London Stock Exchange are some of the major stock exchanges in the world.

What is Nasdaq and why should you invest in it?
Just as Indian giants such as Reliance and TCS trade on Indian stock exchanges such as BSE, many international and US-based companies, such as Apple, Google, and Facebook (Meta) are listed on Nasdaq, which is an extremely popular international stock exchange.

Investing in Nasdaq will allow you to have stocks of the most valuable companies like Apple and Google in your portfolio, which besides giving foreign exposure to your folio will also ensure its growth in line with the growth of international markets and companies.

Investing in Nasdaq is also an excellent way to diversify your funds and folio across geographies by purchasing stocks of companies outside India.

How to invest in Nasdaq from India
Well, the good news for investors in India is that they can now invest in many US stocks through Nasdaq. Most of the foreign investing options available in India are still indirect, i.e. through mutual funds, ETFs, etc.

Investing in Nasdaq ETFs
As you may already know, an ETF is a collection of stocks of different companies. Index funds follow specific indices such as Nifty50, Nasdaq100, and others.

Many mutual fund companies in India now provide funds that mimic foreign indices such as the Nasdaq index. The same goes for ETFs. You can contact your fund manager and invest in a Nasdaq fund for indirect exposure to foreign stocks.

Investing in Nasdaq Stock Tokens
Stock tokens are a rather new term in the Indian investing space. A stock token refers to a crypto token that represents a share of a publicly listed stock or company. For example, a stock token of Google (Alphabet) will represent an actual share of Google stock (NASDAQ: GOOGL).

Stock tokens are probably the easiest way to invest in a foreign stock or exchange like Nasdaq from India, yet not many Indian investors know about them. This is because only a few stock exchanges provide this facility.

You can now buy and trade Nasdaq stock tokens in India on Reflection.trading, which is a stock token trading platform with support to top international stocks and exchanges.

Here’s how to buy Nasdaq stock (token) on the Reflection platform:

Buy BUSD from Binance (for payment of stock tokens)
Transfer BUSD to your MetaMask wallet and connect the wallet to Reflection.trading.
Now choose the stock tokens that you want to buy and make the payment.

The stock tokens are minted directly to the buyer’s wallet in real-time. Find out more or start Nasdaq trading at Reflection

i would like to suggest another methods, investing in US stocks from india is possible through few different methods. the mostly common method is to open an overseas trading account(the activity of trading goods and services with other countries) with a domestic broker. This requires you to open a trading account with a broker in india that has tie-ups with brokers in the US, allowing you to invest in US stocks.you can also open a trading account with a foreign broker, which requires you to set up a secure trading platform to access the US stock market. Additionally, you can open an account with a mutual fund or portfolio management service provided by an indian broker which you already discussed. Lastly, you can use a automated investment advisor to invest in US stocks from india. each method has its own advantages and risks, so it is important to research each option before investing.

Oga from what I read from you and the lady's conversation, you cannot scam that lady, she only asked you to guide her how to make money from bitcoin and you are thinking of scamming who needs help from you. Your thought is very bad even though you were not having the intention to do that and by thinking such is bad, if the bad mindset manifest you might do it to other people. I have thought a lot of novice on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms and I have never thought of even collecting money for the service I rendered to them. And also you have to be careful on Telegram. That lady that was asking to guide her might be an imposter. So you might even be scammed. Be clean in all ramifications of life.

you didn't read conversation properly and talking about me scamming her, i am just giving you example of people's mind

i didn't try or scam anyone , you seems like rushed to give reply
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / where the losed money goes? on: March 07, 2023, 02:30:37 PM
my question is ,
when we play gambling online in casino , we always bust our account , many new comers completely blow their account every time they deposit ,
the gambling site owner's earn money by the commission which it takes 1% or less on every bet made by user , when blowing accounts where all money goes, in casino's pocket or where ,
and the question that the losed money will go to other player's pocket who wins big but the winning players are very less,
i think many are losing in gambling and the casino sites are hugely profiting from us ,
do you think that is the case .
1237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is, how easy it is to scam people on: March 07, 2023, 02:22:23 PM
That's an obvious way to promote her friend's accounts but the fact is it's also her account there are lots of them on telegram with the same strategy pretending as a newbie. They try to convince you and gives you suggestion or link and then they are going to force you to deposit.

Many newbies out there still fall into this kind of strategy. So always be aware and ask trusted people if they are legit or not or better discuss it here so that trusted people here will advise you what to do.

yes,
but the lady was hooked up with her mentor whose account was seems like scammer posting just irrelevant charts and luxury lifestyle,

may these type of person with very less knowledge are less but this was my conversation , may she was trying to scam me who knows.

1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 07, 2023, 02:12:18 PM
every experienced person said that 90% on the people in gambling lose money which is right,
gambling can earn someone's living if he can control mind and emotions, which is very hard to do,
if he knows when to stop and quite gambling,
and he has edge or he is a skilled person in games like poker, other card games in which he can have edge.
it can be possible in sports betting , if you have a great understanding of that specific games,
you know what players are best and something that kind of knowledge.

i suggest these two videos:
