wtf 2.55$ @ cmc why is that?
I think DRK is the best anon coin at the moment, people who sell are stupid?
And instantX fast transactions (with future time lock delay possible), also GPU miner friendly/strongly ASIC resistant(with additional hashing additions possible using spork technology when required), strong masternode network of 2100 nodes with good POS payouts, and one of the smallest fastest loading blockchains with roughly 3 to 13 times less growth rate than average. Darkcoin blockchain size = 0.5715 GigaBytes Average Rate of growth for blockchain per day=1.5 MegaBytes/day quarkcoin block size = 2.4 GigaBytes rate of growth = 4.3 MegaBytes/day litecoin blockchain size = 3.99 GigaBytes rate of growth = 3.3 MegaBytes/day dogecoin blockchain size = 8.49 GigaBytes rate of growth = 20 MegaBytes/day bitcoin blockchain size = 34.3 GigaBytes rate of growth = 15 MegaBytes/day Are we missing anything, do you want to add anything? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

What about fees? Are zero fee transactions still gladly accepted or is there a fee schedule to follow? Also related to this, is there any dust transaction protection in place?
I just checked the wallet history, mixing 10 darkcoin cost .0001 drk, and instantX cost .01 drk, normal transactions are usually free. Take your pick ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Slightly off topic, but this arrived in my Twitter inbox today, and I thought it was brilliant, and worth a share: "As long as I am breathing in air, I'd wish to see the trial of Tony Blair!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUtikPtdT-sIts a good angle to hit such serious matters with humour, can reach more people. He is responsible for the deaths of over 1 million people and wars in 7 countries as the Big Bully's sidekick, all for a few few extra houses and a % of oil contracts etc. Is a wanted war criminal in Malaysia, in the beginning .. http://youtu.be/SyDBsMi7WE8

Except, it should be noted that the "0.23 DRK/day" number in drk.mn is incorrect. 2112 masternodes = 1 payment every 2112/576 = 3.666666~ So you'll have 1.75 Drk / 3.666666 = 0.48 Drk / day.
elbereth is a bit busy at the moment...until this is fixed you can always look here: http://178.254.18.153/~pub/Darkcoin/masternode_payments_stats.htmlwhy aren't the number of unique IP's the same as the number of masternodes, I thought it was 1 IP per masternode, or is this an accounting error ?

Thanks...anyway admitting value here! ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Respect to him of course but I still find Andreas Antonopoulos bitcoin centric, perhaps overly so, it was certainly like he didn't want to mention other coins and innovations, to be fair- he probably didn't want to sound like he was plugging them too much, although this argument could also be used to say he was focusing on bitcoin a little too much for his own gain/benefits ..

i think i erased all after posting that and went from scratch ... sorry ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) i started masternode from cold wallet...after typing masternode start PASS it said "masternode started remotely" before it was "masternode started successfully" is this normal? Be careful you're not starting the masternode on the hot wallet local machine by accident. use 'masternode list' command, and check ip addresses, you should be last on the list
|
|
|
Yes, I believe so. It's the interpretation of those IP addresses against some sort of geo database that's inaccurate.
Yes, you are right, I cross referenced a few hundred, the map is highly inaccurate -has many missing, Portugal for example is not even on.
|
|
|
I would take that map with a grain of salt...
Good point, thought there wasn't enough on it for starters, so does this mean the IP list in the wallet is still accurate then and its only the website thats masternodeless?

Hi everyone, We've recently doubled the amount of servers for the mining pool. Lately there have been pools that have been cheating the miners enough that a mandatory wallet update was released. There is absolutely no reason to still be using them! If you are mining Darkcoin, please send some hash rate to the DCT pool. I guarantee you that you'll have an enjoyable experience. Have a good week! --Propulsion http://Mining.DarkcoinTalk.orgMoved straight to DCT pool from the original darkcoin official pool when it closed, its never let me down, have a great week Propulsion ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Thats a nice looking Masternode in Cape Town, wonder who they are. only 2 in all of Africa, its a tad sparse, although New Zealand has none which is surprising, what about Kim DotCom http://www.darkcoin.cm/index/masternodes_map/

Well, first of all it says "active" not "full". Now look at that: Not too bad hah? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Glorious to see, UdjinM6, am thinking how the network topology is described, as there are 2 types of network so this is a hybrid system, are the masternode's a fully connected mesh topology hybridized with a peer to peer partly connected mesh networking system of the standard blockchain type. A hybrid system supersedes a single networking layer, best of both worlds I would have thought. Am I seeing the networking layers correctly?

Yep, first time to use BTer since April last year, sent 100 BTC, sold to CNY and put wall on DRKCNY, at least my funds aren't in BTC & that's all that I had on there, putting walls up on exchanges doesn't come risk free ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) Hope you're ok , Otoh, and are lucky to have changed to Yuan. I have a few darkcoin there but no btc at all.

Wow! lots of action, this amateur day trader was going to go to bed early lol, well I sold a little at .0121, you can laugh at me if it keeps going up ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Does anyone know if Otoh is up yet ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

From what we can tell there's a uncommon condition on the network (seems to be about 1 in 10 clients), where some databases have became corrupt. Please check your logs for these messages: --
2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Deserialize or I/O error - ReadCompactSize() : size too large OR 2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Errors in block header
---
If you find entries like that delete ~/.darkcoin/blocks and chainstate, then resync from the bootstrap:

Thanks ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
3 machine's debug logs scanned and checked, all good here, including one local masternode wallet ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I heard earlier there was a mined block of 2.6 darkcoin, is this connected, was it forked off or orphaned then?

Didn't otoh put there a wall few days ago? Shit ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I wonder what DRK would do without this otoh??? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Yeah, and camosoul, vertoe, no.1 wallet, no.2 wallet and all big holders ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) What would DRK do without them? Aka the '333' King, hes the best ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
