1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should i buy at this moment for HODL? on: February 10, 2018, 01:13:11 PM
bitcoin!

HODL is what you do when you believe in the future of the thing you are planning on holding. bitcoin has the future obviously. but when it comes to altcoins there are lots of them competing with each other and every day a new one comes out which is doing things better than its counterparts. if you ask me most projects don't have any kind of long term potential.

so the real question you should be asking is which coin has the potential. and it is a hard question to answer. and most people will just tell you the name of the coins they are bag holding at a big loss.
1222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is trend Now? on: February 10, 2018, 01:05:08 PM
yes you do have to change your trading habits based on the current trend which is determined based on bitcoin price movements. and since bitcoin price is nearly stable now with little movements you have to either accumulate bitcoin or use the bitcoin you have to invest in altcoins which are getting pumped right now (and there are some thanks to bitcoin stability) and try to make profit there while bitcoin is like this and get out before this bitcoin trend changes.
1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China’s Central Bank Was Hacked to Send Fake Email About Bitcoin Crakdown on: February 10, 2018, 12:50:24 PM

i have been seeing OP spamming the links from this website and i have to say the articles posted from it (coinpedia) seems to be poorly researched and mostly clickbaits trying to attract as much traffic as possible to the website.

but guess what, the reputation of your website is now ruined because it is becoming a well known clickbait place and you can't keep the traffic coming back. you will get some surge because of your spam then it will die off.
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is Cryptopia still valid now that only BTC to altcoins trades? on: February 09, 2018, 02:55:58 PM
one of the things i liked about cryptopia was the fact that you could trade against other altcoins. it created a lot of nice opportunities Wink

but it is still a good exchange which i plan on using for my trades. that has not changed. and not to mention that they don't have dumb rules such as verification requirements (not yet anyways).

they said they were creating a new platform for these pairs though! it is weird but if you still want to trade these pairs then check the progress of that.
1225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Correction Update - Buyers Are Still Weak, WAIT to buy! on: February 09, 2018, 02:39:51 PM
i wouldn't call this weak because first of all there was a huge volume during the recovery which shows a lot of money that went out, has came back during that rise and price reached a decent level after the big drop and has been keeping that level for a good time now.

but at the same time it is not over yet because price is not above certain levels. i have my eye on $9500 like the other user said and $10k will be an important step.
a lot of money is also waiting on the sidelines to decide what to do. if price reaches these levels that money will be injected in as fast as possible.
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin:USD ratio is possible? Altcoins will not be affected by Bitcoin Dip on: February 09, 2018, 02:22:38 PM
no it will not change a single thing.
you can see that there are already enough coins that are being traded with USD in a lot of different markets. LTC, ETH, DASH, XRP,... all have USD markets and as soon as bitcoin dropped they ALL dropped without an exception.

it is not just because there is no USD pairs for altcoins. it is because everyone cares about bitcoin and how much more of it they can have not how much more of altcoins they can have.
1227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for those who are in a minus and a loss. DON'T SELL! on: February 09, 2018, 02:14:19 PM
i generally disagree with this type of advice because it is usually a terrible advice to give anyone and when you are posting it in a trading discussion board then you are posting a nonsense!

in trading you should NEVER hold something that is dropping. trading is not like invest and HODL. you should always move your money around and make profit on it. otherwise you are a loser. the constant action is what brings profit to a trader not holding, specially if you are holding something that is dropping hard.

for example in the past couple of days altcoins lost a lot of value. selling meant you had your money back in your hands ready to re-invest. when the recovery started you could have made everything you lost back and make a lot of profit. but if you held you just made some of what you lost back and still have a long way to go.
1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost all of my Altcoins gained *against BTC* today on: February 09, 2018, 01:58:55 PM
Perhaps, the start of investors diversification of their coins, after the initial buy-in via "BTC" from Fiat, before/during the early recovery?

no nothing has changed. it is still the same as before. after a huge dump altcoins had a simple small recovery. for example an altcoin which went down from 0.020BTC to 0.009BTC is now recovering up to 0.011BTC. don't read too much into this.

Quote
And perhaps it is indeed a good choice to go for (selected - base on careful/thorough research) altcoins when buying-in during a crash? -- I.e. lower MCAP coins saw greater %loss would likely see similarly high %gains when the market rebounds? — provided that the project behind it is sound, that is. Finger crossed that this trend will continue.

smaller altcoins which usually happen to have a smaller market cap too, are so much easier to pump because their market is a lot smaller. a small buy can shoot their prices up a lot, which makes them better investment in a lot of cases due to their better pumpability.
1229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin low on: February 09, 2018, 01:52:52 PM
The lowest is 0 and it is very much possible. If you will see prices declining and it reaches in 3 digits, it will just collapse thereafter.

yeah, aliens attacking earth and killing us all is also very much possible. but that doesn't mean it is going to happen...
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Turn $1000 into $1000000 Coins with LOW MARKET CAP! No lambo but YACHT coins! on: February 08, 2018, 02:07:11 PM
So with Neo you only needed to invest a pretty small amount like maybe $1000 to become a millionaire and make tons of gas too.... which already is more than most high paying jobs bring in.
that is a wrong way of thinking and you think that only because you are seeing the price after every up and down is over. you just look at start and finish (or more accurately ATH) and think there are millions there to be made.

in reality most people buy too late after the rise has started and they sell at first sight of trouble, maybe a little dip. and the result is a lot smaller profit.

Quote
So whats next to explode like Neo, Raiblocks, Waltonchain, ETH? Whats the next big thing thats still low? So under $100m market cap?
that's the thing, all these coins are already big. a rise that can turn $1000 into $1.... needs a coin that is not already over pumped.

and the hard part is that it is near impossible to find said coin until it is too late.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to purchase alt coin like cindicator and electronium. on: February 08, 2018, 01:57:17 PM
... has fallen to .04 dollor from .22 dollor. So I found better option like cindicator and electronium in place of BTC.

the fact that these coins have dropped this big (-82% in this case) only proves that these are not good investments. it proves these coins are purely pump and dumps which you should invest in with extra care, preferably only during their pumps.

investing in them just because there was a huge drop compered to the bitcoin's is suicide.

also be careful about investing in these coins because as bitcoin rises there may be another big dump in all of them.
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do I prefer LTC over BTC? on: February 08, 2018, 01:45:53 PM
as much as i like Litecoin and its developing team but it has nothing over bitcoin. it has always been the "copy" and it will always remain the "copy"!

LTC is more cheaper and faster these days.
Is easier to mine.
It has introduced Segwit and other advanced technologies before BTC did.

Is not that reluctant to media noise as BTC is.
Is more (relatively) stabile than BTC.

all of these mean that litecoin is less used than bitcoin. less usage means less tx per block so less competition and lees fees. it also helps with activation of any forks such as SegWit and is easier to mine because it has less hashrate.

i disagree about price stability though. LTC may seem stable at times but it just means pumpers are active elsewhere nothing more.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIG move UP in altcoins today! on: February 08, 2018, 01:34:15 PM
try not to get caught in the hype and the dead cat bounces because that is what you are seeing in half the altcoins at least. they are having a small recovery only because of the HUGE drop that has been going on for some days. and after a HUGE drop there is always a recovery without an exception.
but a "recovery" is not a rally so make sure to sell those that you shouldn't hold.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase should delist the Bitcoin Cash scam. Spammers should read this. on: February 08, 2018, 01:25:14 PM
But if Roger Ver starts to make the public believe Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin then he is scamming.

It's pretty safe to say that Roger is a scammer now. I think most of us can agree that Bcash's backers (Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, Calvin Ayre, Craig Wright) are scammers. But we also have to come to terms with a few things. For example, Bitcoin Cash =/= Roger Ver.

They have a pretty dedicated community. Sure, I think a lot of them don't understand Bitcoin's mining incentives, but that's irrelevant here. If they want to run Bcash, they should be able to. If they want to believe Bcash = Bitcoin, power to them. Bitcoin is either open source or it's not. Period.

There's nothing wrong with steering newcomers away from Bitcoin Cash. But I think lashing out at third party services is a waste of time. Coinbase has shown time and time again they are here for profit -- not to support your vision of Bitcoin. And that goes for most if not all exchanges. They're just here to make money off you. And adding more shitcoins is the best way to do that.

Well bch does have redeemable features and i don't think it's a shitcoin, it will have it's use. It's just that you're right, roger ver was able to take make a lot of people think if btc core is the real bitcoin and jump ship. He certainly made big money from those people that transferred and i don't believe he doesn't keep btc's to himself anymore.

that is the key point of all this!
people like Roger Ver or even Coinbase for that matter don't care about bitcoin. they are business men trying to make money from bitcoin. Ver saw a very good opportunity to make a lot of money out of thin air and grasped that opportunity with both hands and started bitcoin cash. each time there is a pump or dump he is getting richer.
1235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: February 08, 2018, 01:19:50 PM
this down time was necessary to shut some people up who were starting to become real annoying by repeating the same things over and over again. they kept calling bitcoin bubble and although the drop got bigger than it should have but finally it put that bullshit to rest even if that is for a little while.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just bought 200 ETC! Price predictions? on: February 07, 2018, 02:49:21 PM
the recent dumps all around the market meant if you bought in the dips or practically anywhere near the bottom, then you are now in profit and you can be sure that your investment was decent at the very least.
ETC is not such a bad investment, and although i don't see any pumps coming to it at the moment but it had no major pumps for a while which can give it potential enough for a decent pump.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 will see the clues on: February 07, 2018, 02:35:40 PM
the word "bubble" seems to have lost all meaning when it comes to bitcoin and random people like OP using it Cheesy

most of the times this word is used, if you look at the content they are trying to make it into some scary thing that will crash and kill bitcoin's price down to a ridiculously low number like $100
in time the expectation of others also changed when they started thinking a bubble means any price that is higher than their wishes. so if they wished to have bought at $3000 then they will call anything bigger than that a "bubble". if they wished to buy at $15000 they will call above that a "bubble". not understanding what they are talking about!

ps. i find it funny to find this topic about bitcoin and bubble being in an Altcoin Service Discussion board...
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: For those looking for the "next big thing" on: February 07, 2018, 02:27:21 PM
well people have very different views in this market, you can't really tell them they are wrong, they do whatever they want. i share the view of OP. i actually find it absurd that people keep on looking for the "next big thing" and each year we have at least 3 coins that are considered that and then they give their place to another at least 3 new coins to be that!

my views on this market is that i stick to those 3 while they are hot but not a minute longer and make profit on the bitcoins i have. at the end of the day if i am able to turn $1,000 into $10,000 it means i have lost. but if i am able to turn my 1BTC into 10BTC i am a big winner.
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin or Etherium? on: February 07, 2018, 02:18:34 PM
Litecoin's primary use is to transfer money from one place to another.
litecoin's primary use just like ethereum's use is to get pump and dumped Wink

Quote
You can do that with any cryptocurrency,
true, you can pump any other altcoin and make even more profit

Quote
and ETH offers that option as well, along with the same if not cheaper type of fees as LTC.
actually ethereum fees are higher than litecoin's and at times it grows ridiculously huge even in tens of dollars range. and also the network of ethereum is congested heavily from time to time.

Quote
Now, they also offer smart contracts which will attract ICO's to use ETH.
that's true and that is the only thing keeping ETH price up at these levels.
but it will probably not last that long with things such as Rootstock (RSK) coming to bitcoin which will also work on its copy which is litecoin!

Quote
So with that being said, if you had to portion out 100% of your portfolio with either LTC or ETH, how would you populate it and why? I need some convincing on why I should stay invested in LTC.
i would populate it with bitcoin and only invest in either of these coins when they are getting pumped to make the profit on my main investment with the real future!
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Canadian official wants Google to ban ads for crypto? on: February 07, 2018, 01:59:49 PM
a lot of dudes in the world want a lot of different things to happen, that doesn't mean those things are going to happen.

and when it comes to some officials, specialty one who feels threatened by bitcoin, you shouldn't take them very seriously because they are talking out of fear for their current position in the world.
