The stakeholders are going to vote for the Notary, but how is it's going to take place and when?
The current plan for the first election is that the voting would happen when people redeem their KMD, or some short of other temporary procedure. For the later elections we must develop a better system, and about that we currently have no info. jl777 is thinking the best way to implement it. For the first election it is possible that we don't even get 64 candidates, so there's a change there won't really be any meaningful elections. We will see.
Hi, I was wondering if the pre-ICO bonuses (30% and 35%) will also be taken into account to compute the average bonus: Another bonus system was established to counter the dilution the BTC bonus system would have for BTCD investors. The bonus is calculated by applying the average bonus the BTC investors got to the swap rate.
Example: Lets say 10000 BTC are collected and 1000 BTC in early investor bonus was taken. That means the average bonus is 10%. This would bring the BTCD swap rate to 0.005852.
Also, I assume there will be some kind of public records concerning the amounts invested and their bonuses. Thank you. There have been no insider deals and several large investors approached us for getting a bigger discount with a pre-ICO investment. This is not anything we planned, we are just responding to demand.
Now, it is important that everybody get the same opportunity as everybody else. The only requirement is the amount of the BTC. Considering the size and the timing, the extra percentage bonus is appropriate. This is open to everybody, nobody is forced to do this.
We are not talking about a 3x or 5x advantage to the large investors. It is 5% to 10%. If anybody really thinks this is unfair, well, we have to agree to disagree. Whales always get a better deal than the rest, I hope people will analyze this objectively and not with emotions.

One thing is not clear: will be there a snapshot of BTCD balances or BTCD should be sent to an exodus address? If the first, what would be the snapshot date? (should move my coins out of exchange before ) There is a BTCD snapshot for the revenue asset, so you should hold your BTCD's in a local wallet. For downloads and instructions (the guide) visit the bitcoindark.com website. After the snapshot the BTCD <-> KMD swap begins, and it will last one full year. During that time you can swap your BTCD's to KMD. More info about how this is done will be published later. In summary: BTCD holders: send your BTCD to a local wallet before the ICO ends! What Exchanges are going to be used for KMD?
I suppose this is mostly for Anon, so if I send in my BTC and then send KMD to trade at an Exchange and make money off other traders and then turn my KMD back into BTC washed and squeaky clean. But anyone outside the ICO has their BTC sent to an exchange with KYC/AML...
There is no way to know. The exchanges will do their own choices and decisions, so we cannot promise anything. Of course it's reasonable to assume that a liquid market will be added to all the major exchanges at some point. |

rules are easy to follow, if i'm not jsut tied to my current sig campaign, i would have joined. 25 posts is easy job for the participants, i can post that much in a day if i really wanted to.

You will have to fill the change rank form once, after that we will get the information. However, the spread sheet won't be updated until the very end of the campaign. hi i would like to ask when will the docs be updated. the last update is sept. 20 so we can see if we are accepted. regards
That depends on the campaign manager, but there is nothing to worry about if you signed up with correct information and wear the signature. We have stated that everyone is welcome to join our campaign... so we don't really "accept" people. We will only reject the people who do not follow the rules. So if you are on the spread sheet, you are in the campaign. You will get rejected only if: - the information you provided was incorrect - you signed up but didn't wear the signature - you spam posts - you failed to make 25 posts during the whole campaign |

More progress  This is not directly related to Komodo, but there has been a strong belief that there would be no progress. To prove that we things are coming together with an accelerating speed we had announced multiple times that we will have an Iguana GUI release before the ICO starts. Here's the latest update from boogieman on the SuperNET Slack channel #iguana: The GUI update:
1. We've been completing the rest of features: last API calls are being binded, code is being reviewed and groomed.
2. Mockups are waiting for the supported coins customed icons and minor changes needed for the right Non-Iguana creating wallet flow.
3. We are expecting to take more time on polishing off the speed and the look and to put all features together.
4. I'm preparing release notes and a presentation post for the blog.

I am wondering why it is relevant to update or download the BitcoinDark wallet when it obsolete soon when Komodo comes out? Or will BitcoinDark be further developed along with Komodo?  Komodo is BTCD 2.0, so the BTCD can be swapped for KMD after the ICO. For more info see our Steemit article. how can I participate in the ico, I like to buy KMD?
The start of ICO is the 15th of October. Due to demand, we might offer a whale discount to purchase the week before, but it would require a large amount of BTC, for a slightly higher bonus. We want to use the best privacy technology, and without a doubt Zcash is it. However we don't offer just a Zcash fork, but we have developed the dPoW consensus too. Komodo will play a role in the SuperNET/Iguana tech, so those services alone will create some demand for it. There is a big roadmap ahead, and dPoW is needed for it. For example, jl777 just gave an update about the asset chains which require dPoW to secure them. What I'm trying to say is that Komodo is not some half random fork that we came up with, but rather a very needed piece in the overall roadmap. Furthermore, it goes hand-in-hand with SuperNET's philosophy of helping the overall crypto ecosystem.
