Snip
What happened in the case of that one user who claimed that he lost funds on your desktop platform because you use Google services for spell checking?
How did that case even end, was it proven that Coinomi was the one and only culprit and what is your theory on that case?
12242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Has anyone tried findeth.io by MyCrypto.com? on: December 23, 2019, 09:41:58 AM
This shouldn't be in the Bitcoin forum since it is about Ether which is an Altcoin. I suggest you move it to the Altcoin discussion board.
What benefits does that site offer compared to https://etherscan.io/ for example? You enter your ETH address and whatever is stored in your wallet is displayed as part of your portfolio.

Yes it looks it is no longer working following one of their upgrades. Too bad, it was a useful tool I think. I tried searching on the site if there was another way to do it but I couldn't find anything. I will do some more research and see if I come up with anything.

12245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: December 22, 2019, 09:11:03 AM
If I made previous research on a particular match and the betting tip has the same conclusions that I came to I would have more confidence betting on that pair but of course that would depend who the tip comes from.
I did use a prediction service in the past when I didn't feel like doing much research on the matches I was betting on.
12246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 22, 2019, 09:04:47 AM
Lazio is a team that has caused problems for Juventus on a number of occasions recently. They won the last head-to-head in the league 3:1.
But Juventus is now profiting from an in-form Ronaldo and a revived attack with the Dybala-Ronaldo-Higuain trio. As long as Bernardesci is kept away from the starting 11 it should be a good match. I predict that Douglas Costa will enter in the last 15-20 minutes to run their defense and create more open space for his teammates if the result doesn't go in Juve's favor.
12247  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Don't get hacked for Christmas by Ledger on: December 22, 2019, 08:50:55 AM
The 1st and 2nd words of the seed begin with U and O - yes.
I was referring to the same letter words. For example the first words with 'S' is the 10th word in the seed. So the first 'S' word that appears in the video is the 10th seed word. The next 'S' word from the video is the 11th seed word because the 11th word in the seed also begins with 'S' according to the hint... and so on...

Are you sure series appears before security? Security is written under the camera feed.

I found these possible combinations.

1 unveil
2 over
3 theory / trumpet / time
4 leader / learn / life / load
5 welcome / word
6 month / more / memory / mail / message / maid
7 account / all / average
8 account / all / average
9 camera / click / code / coin
10 security / series / system / short / subject / search / sorry
11 security / series / system / short / subject / search / sorry
12 security / series / system / short / subject / search / sorry
13 theory / trumpet / time
14 hello / history
15 eyebrow / error
16 theory / trumpet / time
17 jacket
18 account / all / average
19 security / series / system / short / subject / search / sorry
20 design
21 security / series / system / short / subject / search / sorry
22 pretty / play
23 theory / trumpet / time
24 guide

It has been claimed so who cares  Grin
Still interested to see if all my words are part of the seed somewhere.
12248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Trouble restoring old wallet on: December 22, 2019, 08:34:05 AM
Did you try pywallet?
That is not needed in this particular case. If he can open Bitcoin Core he can use the dumpwallet command even if Bitcoin Core is not fully synced.
He should be able to save a text file containing all his private keys with that command.

@OP
Follow HCP's advice above.
12249  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Don't get hacked for Christmas by Ledger on: December 22, 2019, 08:00:29 AM
I wondered if maybe there was a clue in the video to the order of the words?
Probably the order they first appear in the video is the order in which they should be written down in the seed.
I didn't find any other hints in the video. They said they would release more hints in the upcoming days...

Anyone else working on it?
I have word combinations for each and every part of the seed. Several different combinations for the letters t, m, w, a, s,h,p
How about we work on the seed together? Full disclosure between those who want to help and we share the spoils.
I have a good eye for details.

12253  Other / Meta / Re: Scam Hunters on: December 21, 2019, 08:23:08 AM
- prices could be: merit points
Merit is not meant to be a currency or a reward system for services on the forum. You are free to merit any post you like and scam hunters are deservedly merited but merit is not = service reward. Although I did propose something similar in the past I realize it will never happen.

- of the other side, people promoting scams will be discouraged to insist into these operations knowing that the ambassadors are motivated to find them fast
We already have scam busters who inform the community of new scams. If proven as scammers users get tagged and it is the responsibility of any individual to check the reputation of a user he deals with in any way.

 - I know that this can be done today, also, via "Report to moderator"
Scam reports shouldn't be sent to moderators because the forum doesn't moderate scams. Users of the forum do. A topic of a scammer might be trashed or deleted if it violates forum rules but I don't know if it will be deleted because someone thinks it is a scam.
12254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 10 (Celebrating the 10th Week!) on: December 21, 2019, 08:09:05 AM
@BitcoinsGreat
All you saw in the OP was the possibility to get Bitcoins. Did you even care to read the rest or answer the question that was asked?

If I won a jackpot and a natural disaster occurred I would first do what I can to keep myself and my family and those close to me safe.
I would try to remain anonymous and under the radar because in a time like that I don't really want half of the town to know that Pmalek just won the Jackpot. Angry mobs, $5 wrench attacks...things like that.
After my loved ones are safe I would do my own research and see who is in need of what and donate what I can to those in need most. Anonymous and personal donations to make sure that the money and supplies gets to the right people.
12255  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Should hardware wallets use secure elements for max security? on: December 21, 2019, 07:39:31 AM
what if I forget or lose the passphrase?
If you lost just the password, aka the 25th seed word, you might be able to recover it. Brute forcing it with the appropriate software could work if you know parts of the passphrase, special characters used it it and how it should look. If you have no idea what the passphrase was brute forcing it would be impossible or take a lifetime.
12256  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Don't get hacked for Christmas by Ledger on: December 21, 2019, 07:31:18 AM
Ohh, there seems to be seed words implemented in the video and a bunch of them. I wonder if they have already been discovered and someone emptied the account. Nice promotion here by Ledger. According to the Reddit post, it is already gone but no official statement by Ledger admins.

Ledger Božićni Paket  Smiley

Još jedna dobra ponuda od Ledgera za praznike. Kupovinom Ledger Nano X dobiva se jedan Nano S besplatno. Umjesto dosadašnjih €178 cijena je trenutno €119.

Don't trust Binance. They can do shotgun-KYC, and hold your withdrawal anytime they want.
You can withdraw up to 2 BTC each day from Binance without verifying your identity. Have their been incidents where they have help user funds without reasonable grounds? They are on top of my list and I don't think they would damage their reputation just like that.
12259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decisions for a better life on: December 20, 2019, 09:55:18 PM
I wonder if there is anyone that would choose gambling over family.
Of course there is. That is what addicts do. They will choose gambling above everything else.
I haven't had it happen to someone close to me but one I know of one acquaintance who gambled away his business, his home and lost his family due to gambling. He had a great life. Nice business venture, modern home, a family, a beautiful daughter. He pissed it all away on slot machines. The bank took his business, he lost his home because he could no longer afford it. His wife left with the daughter and he is now God knows where.
12260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone here tried Betadvisor.com? on: December 20, 2019, 10:26:45 AM
@huige007
You quoted my post above but I assume it was meant for krach. There is no secret to gambling success. It is based on luck and the research you are ready to do. Bet on the things you are familiar with. If you are into soccer, bet on soccer. If you watch cricket all the time then stay away from rugby because you probably don't know much about it.

Research the teams online, check their match squads, missing players due to suspensions, injury, current form... stuff like that.
