Can you name another business where problems don't get solved, and people just bury their heads in the sand hoping the problem would disappear?
~

There are a lot of them. In fact all the businesses we can think of have their problems and some of them never solved but "the show must go on" as they say.

I don't like to make unfounded staments so here's the list of unsolved problems in physics for example:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unsolved_problems_in_physics

And there many other fields you know and all of them have their unsolved problems, but the life is going on nevertheless.
12262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won a prize in Freebitco.in Lottery? If yes, how much? on: January 20, 2016, 05:14:53 PM
My luck isnt so good to win anyway Cheesy but always hoping to win some.
Have you won ever in it?

No, I haven't. Actually I think that freebitco.in is a decent site, they give you as minimum $0.002 per hour per visit and also you might win up to $200 there depositing nothing. For example I've won $0.2 four times from their free rolls.

The LOTTERY you mentioned is a pretty new thing there, they are running it several months I think. Every free roll they give you 2 free tickets and also you can buy as much as you want for the price about 0.00000018 BTC each.

When the Lottery just started I used to buy thousands of those tickets but I have never won. Now I'm "playing" with the free tickets they give.
12263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex does not let me withdraw my Coins ! (DANGER) on: January 20, 2016, 03:49:36 PM
"looks like i accidently pressed the freeze account button in my email"

one thing I need to say their support is incredible fast.
bitfinex support is great but transaction time is still way too slow.(bitcoin transactions take at least a couple hours)

Looks like everything is dealt with in a good way already.  Smiley I missed the original post but as I can see everythig's okay.

That's good because the least thing we need right now is another negative Bitcoin related news.
12264  Economy / Economics / Re: Will You buy a pizza at 10,000 sat? on: January 20, 2016, 10:22:20 AM
I would definitely buy a pizza for 10,000 sat, that would be less than $0.04 now thanks to the morons who caused panic selling.

Also I agree with other commentators that one day 10,000 sat will be a decent price for a pizza. I even think that this will happen earlier than 2116.
12265  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New Mining Calculator Featuring Multiple Currencies and Responsive Profit Chart on: January 20, 2016, 10:12:53 AM
It's nice - but I find the BitcoinWisdom mining calculator much better still.  Yours only calculates your earnings after the next difficulty increase.  In reality, a miner needs to be able to model their returns after each difficulty increase.  Without taking that into consideration, a miner will have an over optimistic expectation of return.  Also - you should factor in the initial cost of hardware as well.  With a couple more updates, I think this would be great!

I agree with the sentnence in bold, but I don't think that Difficulty Increase were not taking into account there. I mean I don't think that more complex calculation will change the picture to such an extent that we should worry about it.

Overall good job OP! Thank you for the simple and in the same time pretty accurate Calculator!
12266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: January 20, 2016, 09:45:01 AM
Knowing that you shouldn't put all your eggs into one basket I used to have four wallets. But, around a year ago, I had actually stopped using three of them so now I have only one.

To make long story short, I think I have a different mindset now and I really think that it is safer to hold all your eggs in one basket. )
12267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be happy if Bitcoin remained as it is now? on: January 19, 2016, 06:22:50 PM
It is true that you can buy some things with bitcoin in some stores and all. But mainly Bitcoin has come to be an investment/stock, similar to gold some say. I am quite happy with the possibility of earning it in the internet by simple means (banners, faucets, posting, doing small tasks and works) internationally and without so much government control, and also about speculating with it. I would love it would become a widely used currency and be able to pay everywhere with it... But would not be angry if it remained as it is now (used by some, with the ability to be transferred and earned through internet).

What do you think?

As you said we can be happy with Bitcoin as it is now. I agree with this. However, as a wise person once said: "Anything that is not advancing starts degrading". And I agree with that too.

So I wish first of all more people know about Bitcoin, and I wish their knowledge about it was a positive one. And then IMO all the other good things will be attached.
12268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Washington Post: 'R.I.P. Bitcoin. It’s time to move on' on: January 19, 2016, 04:17:39 PM
Firstly, I have never considered The Washington Post as something you can rely on. It's a popular daily newspaper which publishes articles not in order to be truthful but rather in order to be more popular.

Secondly, I think in 10 years the author will regret publishing this crap instead of buying Bitcoins himself.
12269  Economy / Gambling / Re: What makes PrimeDice the best? Or one of them? on: January 19, 2016, 03:46:12 PM
Based on alot of people talking about it, I've come to the conclusion (that may be wrong) that PrimeDice is the most popular bitcoin casino. But why? I can't use primedice in my country, so I don't know.

Is it the community?
Is it the increasing faucet?
Is it the good looks?
Is it the good reviews?
Is it the knowledge that they've survived more than a million dollars in loss?

Is it the community? - For me definitelly it is. I LOVE PD chat, it's always fun and don't forget the rains. )

Is it the increasing faucet? - I don't think so. Many dice sites have initial faucet much bigger than PD which is 200 sats there. Yes, it starts to increase after you have wagared 1 BTC (your faucet becomes 1k sats then) but not that much to be the reason of the popularity of PrimeDice IMO.

Is it the good looks? - Yes, it looks good. I'd say simple in a good way. )

Also I have never had any proplems when depositing or withdrawing from PD.

Overall, the impression is very good and maybe that's why they are the best. )
12270  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: January 19, 2016, 03:21:55 PM
Invest a small amount of money in Bitcoins an hold them as a long term investment. Block halving is
around the middle of the year and more and more people are using Bitcoins, so price will surely go up
to new heights.
Bitcoins are now becoming a great source of investment now days. I am agreeing with your plan with respect to upcoming halving. Many people are still earning a lot by trading Bitcoins daily. But buying bitcoin is more simple and effective way of becoming rich.

I'd say especially now when Bitocin has dropped to around $385. If I only had spare money I'd invest all of them in Bitcoin today.

A year from now we'll see more posts like this: "How too get rich? Make a time machine, go back in time to January 2016 and buy Bitcoins at $388".
12271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin After Death - The Will... on: January 19, 2016, 11:28:27 AM
Give it another few years and your wallet will be linked to your heartbeat. As soon as you cark it your coins will go to predetermined addresses. Job done.

I think it is a good idea if there is no false alarm. If the heart beat sensor malfunctioned, and send the coins too early, you will have nothing left.

haha, yep. I thought about that too. You can't rely on medical devices complitely, they might fail the very inappropriate moment.

Give your private keys to your wife if you have one, or give them to a family member you love the most.
12272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets try to make 1.5 BTC from 0.013. Total profit so far: 0.16btc on: January 19, 2016, 08:56:33 AM
After some fails from the starter of this method, I would like to give it a shot.
The rules are simple- I pick a game and place a bet of 0.013BTC. If I win, I will place another pick with the whole sum of the money - 7 times.
The odds I choose will be from 1.9 to 2
So the scheme will be: (I wrote *2 to easier calculate)
0.013*2
0.026*2
0.052*2
0.104*2
0.208*2
0.416*2
0.832*2
=
~1.664

I will pick games after research, and I will review the games.

Update:
Current balance, after 4 consecutive wins is standing on 0.16BTC, and this is our next bet.

1. Bet: 0.013BTC  WIN
 NFL
New England Patriots vs Kensas Chiefs

Interesting game is in front of us, in the first game of NFL playoffs. Patriots, the last year NFL champions are meeting the Chiefs, in their first game in playoffs since 1994.
Patriots are getting back their runners after injury in the middle of the season, and of course the superstar QB Tom Brady will play today.
Patriots are much better team than the chiefs, and in this part of the season, they should win today.
Pick- Patriots -5 @ 1.96
Final score: 27-20 pats

2. Bet: 0.025BTC WIN
NBA
Memphis Grizzlies(-5.5) v New York Knicks(+5.5)

New york are in a good shape in the last games and showing recovery.
In the other side, Memphis are stable with 22 wins vs 19 losses this season.
Carmelo Antony is out at New york tonight. without him the Knicks will not able to win tonight. and not even stand the line.
Pick- Memphis -5.5 @1.93
Final scor: 103-95 Memphis

3. Bet: 0.049BTC WIN
NBA
OKC vs Miami
The line today is too high, and its very suspicious.
Miami gets today +9.5. Why?
OKC are in great shape with 5 wins out of 6 last games.
Westbrook is on fire with triple-double in the last game.
In Miami- Henderson, Dragic are out for today. Dwane wade is probably out also.
The bookies believe here in OKC win, without any doubt
The line is tricky, but I believe OKC will win in double figures tonight.
Pick- OKC -9.5 @1.9
Final score: 99-74 OKC

4. Bet: 0.084 WIN
NBA
Atalanta vs Orlando
3 reasons why I pick Atalanta:
1. Orlando are in awful shape with 6 loses in 7 games.
2. Orlando's key player Oladipo will miss the game tonight and without him Orlando are much weaker.
3. Atalanta, at home, with full squad should make here a double figures win.
The line is high, and the bookies made their job- make us bet on Orlando.
Let's beat the bookies
Pick- Atalanta Hawks -7.5 @ 1.91
Final score: 98-81 Atalanta

5. Coming soon. Keep watching.
6.
7.

Wow! 4 consecutive wins - isn't that something? ) You are doing a geart job mate! Keep winning!

I wish I can help you to guess but I have absolutely no knowledge about those teams and how are they supposed to perform. I wish you good luck anyway.
12273  Economy / Speculation / Re: PANIC BUYING !!!!!!! on: January 19, 2016, 08:25:46 AM
the lower bitcoin goes I think is just more opportunity to pick some up at a good deal.
I love panic sellers.

The only problem is when do you go all in?
If you go all in at $300, bitcoin might then drop to $250.  Smiley

Actually this is not a big problem because even if Bitcoin drops to $250(which will never happen IMO) you should just wait a week or two for the imminent rise from that point.

But let's talk more realistic. We will hardly see below $350 so buying at around that price is a good choice. Mark my words: we will never see below $500 after Summer 2016.
12274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: January 18, 2016, 05:29:17 PM
You can earn more money from gambling but You can lose all your money.
the secret is a correct management of money and a good bankroll.

Having a good bankroll or, in other words, good amount of money on your balance might help you to win if you are going to increase your balance say not more than 5%. You have pretty good chances to succeed in this.

However if you want to win 50% of your balance or even more, you will lose most likely.
12275  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 18, 2016, 05:06:59 PM
It's about useability also and bitcoin has more useability then gold, since gold is not accepted in many stores.

agree with yu, we can't send gold instanly like bitcoin,
and we can't trade it in online market like bitcoin Roll Eyes

So, Bitocin is better than gold? I agree with this. Gold is something which was very valuable in the past and Bitcoin is something which will be very valuable in the future. And as we can see Bitcoin is already a valuable thing, but unfortunately most people are livivng in the past so they can't see the real value of Bitcoin.
12276  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unique Gambling Game on: January 18, 2016, 04:40:15 PM
I don't know even close how much will cost to make a site like this, but since you've asked about ideas, here's mine:

Make a dice gambling site whith fast bets, nice chat, good look and make ZERO house edge there. All gamblers of the world will be attracted to your site and then you can earn from advertising banners.
12277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Paul Vernon take a lie detector test? on: January 18, 2016, 03:01:53 PM
If Paul Vernon took a lie detector test and it indicated he was telling the truth, would you be willing to forgive him and trust what he says again? I think if Vern is going to sell Cryptsy or continue to run it he should take a lie detector test. But only regarding the theft.

haha there's nice comment there on youtube: You should pay them another visit. Oh wait, they've vanished without a trace.

Idk, have they? I mean I don't think it's so hard to find someone in today's world. And btw was it a hack?
12278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your gambling stats? on: January 18, 2016, 02:22:58 PM
I'm curious to see people stats in gambling on the forum.
What I mean by stats is your total profit/losses.
I am interested in this since I have read some gambling stories on the forum regarding big losses or wins.
Please do not reply if you have not gambled before.

My stats are around -0.01BTC. Lost a bit when I first started but have been making profit since then with sports betting.

I gamble more than a year and a half, I use dice gambling siltes mostly and I've had some pleasant moments winning more than BTC0.01 at once. But overall my profit is negative, it's around -0.06BTC or maybe even a bit more.

On the other hand I think I'm lucky I hadn't lost much more than that in 1.5 years of gambling.
12279  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The cost of electricity in the world on: January 18, 2016, 01:59:34 PM
I'm paying about 15 cents/Kwu on average in Belgium... But we have many companies and many tariff plans, so the actual price can range anywhere between 4 cents and 27 cents (extra charges do apply, especially on the "cheap" power distributors, you have to pay extra charges and have extra conditions, for example the cheap price is only during nighttime)...

You are right those "cheap" power distributors, or any "cheap" distributors in general, most of the time have tricky plans. However sometimes you can profit from them after reading carefully what they really propose. For example why not run your miners at nighttime?
12280  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice gambling method #1 - Use wisely. on: January 18, 2016, 12:30:27 PM
well I won't discuss martinagle cause we have discussed it a lot , but I find betting 1% of your bankroll on 20% chance to win is insane
1% base bet is huge when you want to bet on such odds , honestly I would prefer normal martinagle on this one
in this method you need to be extremly lucky to achieve nice profit , the odds won't make you survive 2 mins with this strategy

I agree. Even when betting on 50% chance to win your base bet should be 0.1% of your balance as I said before. And even although you have good chances to win you still might lose everything. For the strategy you mentioned even 2 minutes of playing is a big success IMO.
