Im looking for something stronger than the Gawminer Fury(blizzard) but with about the same noise level and power usage .  Is there anything out there ?

You will want to go to altcoin's with this.

But A2 has been king for a while now.  Once a new generations comes out it will be interesting.  It's been a while since a new chip for Scrypt.
12282  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: TOO MANY SALES OF MINING MACHINERY on: February 16, 2015, 01:25:09 AM
I sold some on ebay.  One I wish another person would have won. I wish ebay could charge for time used sending back and forth how to use a miner. Never had a ebay auction winner like this before.    I am trying to get them to do teamviewer so i can help quickly and save time for him and me.  I honestly cannot figure if he is trying to cheat me with amount of trouble, or truly new.

when mining was newer I sold about 1000 usb sticks on ebay.

I taught 30 or 40 people how to mine.

Dang I never sold that many i was around 60 of them sold.  Wish I would have kept one as a momento at this point but I didnt.

This one I'm having to teach everything including PSU's how one PCI-e cable cannot power all of a S3.  Took me almost whole day to get a picture of his wiring.  Still waiting on a picture of his configuration to help tell what needs changed.

Teamviewer/skype makes it so much easier.  This back/forth with so long between questions just makes it take much longer.  I always have used teamviewer/skype but for some reason he wants to do through ebay one message at a time.   If all goes well we will have one more miner in the world I think tonight.  I think seeing his wiring and helping on that should fix the problems he had.

I think in future auctions i will list teamviewer/skype help. I normally like doing it. But through ebay message only takes a long time.

Adding $119 (cooling kit) and then another $130 (modified kit) to fit an S5 is an additional $250. That alone is almost the price of a C1. Too much work and money involved there just to save 200 watts per month.

You save 800watts (200wattsx4) and hash 0.6TH/s faster.

Unless you have really expensive electricity it will take a long time to pay off the additional.  I know myself I'm around 1.82 for the 800 watts.   250/1.82 (per day) is over 137 day's to pay just the kit's off.   That does not include shipping which if it's like when I got my C1 kit's off them is pretty expensive.   It's safe to say payoff is farther then I would go considering I can do it all with air for not any more expense on kits.
12285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: hashra.com asic scrypt.... scam? on: February 15, 2015, 09:55:49 PM

The low-definition - do-nothing video is almost like insult-to-injury.

I think I felt better about Hashra and the slight possibility of actual product before I saw the 20 second video of a box with fans.

I just cannot imagine releasing a video of just case after so much delay's.   No proof of chips, output.  They have a case to show off.

In a sad way reminds me of terrahash who released little bit's to try to keep people ordering and believing.  But never released a product in the end.

If you think about it hashra really didnt have anything special in last generations it was like a zeus or others in a different box.  The A2's were more efficient and they made a lot of gear that used a lot of power.  Will they come up with a actual product next gen... only time will tell.
12286  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S6 speculation on: February 15, 2015, 07:50:56 PM

Will these be sold like the S2 kits; or as boards only requiring existing blade heatsinks / S2 backplane & controller?

Thanks for link.  I wonder if they are making a new chip for "power consumpiton at wall will be less than 0.4W/G." or if they somehow found a way to underclock it.

If new chips would be a good time to see a S6 aswell.  With Holiday would be a good time to retool for a new model (But most likely people will want to spend it with family which no one can blame them for).
12287  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Warning! this bitcoin address contains transactions which may be double spends. on: February 15, 2015, 07:41:03 PM
If it is safe to link my Bitcoin address here i will link it later.

Sorry for my very BAD English Sad

Linking to your public address is safe.  Just don't put your private key or anything such as that.
12288  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: February 15, 2015, 07:39:42 PM
Will there be another generation of water cooled miners? Some user's just can't run something in their homes that sound like an airplane taking off the runway. I'd love to see a more efficient water cooled model running at least 2+ TH/sec. This 800watt for 1TH is getting expensive.

Syscooling sells a S5 kit to convert to water cooled.  I personally don't think we will see a C2 since they went to selling a kit.   But I could be wrong.

Where is this kit? And to be honest, I've had so much trouble with my C1 pumps I doubt I would go for the kit anyway. Kind of gives me a sting when I think about it. I could see if the S5 had a lot more hashing power, but it's only 1100. There is a $15/month in electric costs if I were to buy an S5, but I can't have anything noisy running in the house anyway. Even if in another room, it just has to be quiet.

4x S5 =4,6TH/s

I don't like their site as far as ordering.  You can see the last so many orders.   On this I think we are seeing every order they have had, and I think they have only sold 6 of these kits.

I assume the best way to get the kwh for the miner/miners. Is some sort of plug adapter that displays the usage over 24hr?

And i am very greatful for ur help so far

Most popular is killawatt as far as something you can use on a miner your using.  It does not take long.  Once miner gets to it's normal operating speed you can see watts being used in real time.
12290  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: TOO MANY SALES OF MINING MACHINERY on: February 15, 2015, 01:20:18 AM
What do you mean 'too many'. Both mining itself, as well as the mining hardware market, is just offer vs demand.

Apparently, lots of people believed there was something like free money. Now it turns out there isn't, at least not for all or most of them. Makes perfect sense. Bitcoin keeps on working as intended.

I mean that too many people are selling their hardware also being new generation type sp20, sp30, antminer s5 etc .....

many sales are few purchases

I don't think I would agree with few purchases.   Hardware can be sold multiple times and is in a lot of cases.  That is nice thing over cloud mining.  You mine it till you want to sell it, then in a lot of cases it finds a home with cheaper electricity.   Over time old gear is lowered on price.

12292  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New diff thread Feb 9 to Feb ? this has a promo for best guess. on: February 14, 2015, 07:45:02 PM
I like your idea of early guess getting more space.  I think first day or two really reward them for such a early guess.  By 1/2 of time over have it maybe 1/4 or even less of the range early guess gets.

On price of BTC past few day's have been good.  I am happy to see a increase.  I did finally get new homes for my S3's.   Also under clocked my SP20's.  I think I am set for a while now.  Did it a little earlier then I planned but decided to get ready a little for summer mining.  Winter I went a lot larger then I care to do during summer time.
12293  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Recommendations for 1300W and 1000W PSUs on: February 14, 2015, 07:38:55 PM
I have available a 1300W EVGA and a 1000W EVGA power supply both Gold Rated.

The 1300W is a great power supply.  I have one never had a problem with it.

My favorite is RM1000, I have had great luck with it.   Also lightning 1300 tried and no issues.

I like the move twords a ticket system. Hope it all goes well.
12295  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GreenAdress , safe ? on: February 14, 2015, 09:33:01 AM
I have never heard of it either.  I would go with a more well known wallet.
12296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would he be better off with his cpu or his graphics card on: February 13, 2015, 11:52:48 PM
Sadly you most likely would mine at a loss.  You might look at Asics if you truly want to mine.  But days of CPU/GPU are long gone for most.
12297  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New diff thread Feb 9 to Feb ? this has a promo for best guess. on: February 13, 2015, 07:20:33 PM
It's not looking like a horrible jump:
Bitcoin Difficulty:    44,455,415,962
Estimated Next Difficulty:    46,440,075,174 (+4.46%)
Adjust time:    After 1417 Blocks, About 10.0 days

As far my guess I will go with + 4.15
12298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help getting started please! want to start mining generate some income... on: February 13, 2015, 06:20:32 PM
Sadly GPU/CPU days are really over.  Do some ROI math most likely you use more in electricity the you make.   And day's where GPU paid off the cards by mining seem long gone.
12299  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining is still profitable? on: February 13, 2015, 05:29:41 PM
I don't know if one specific site will show this or not.

It will depend a lot on what your electricity price is.  Are you paying vat or free import etc.    It is different for most people.
12300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: a little help please ? on: February 13, 2015, 06:57:27 AM
Might post command you are using.

And most likely yes you are wasting time.  Most CPU/GPU coins you mine at a loss.   Asics have taken over regular scrypt coins.  The ones left just are hard for most part to make profit.
