12341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was bitcoin designed to be global? on: October 11, 2016, 05:42:00 AM
The white paper did not define a specific region or group of people, so we have to accept that it was designed to be a global p2p payment system. Luckily for us, Satoshi made it divisible so that we can have loads of smaller units within 1 bitcoin.

The remaining option, if every other option was exhausted, would be for us to decide to make changes to the protocol to allow for more bitcoins, but that will never happen. < We cannot even decide on block sizes >
12342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi is in a game! on: October 11, 2016, 05:28:25 AM
Not to be a party pooper here, but if you look at the top left hand position in that screen grab, you would see that it might be a team based game. < Looks like player names > So the discussion between those two players, could just be the player defined name, being incorporated into the game text. < Insert player name >

What do you think?
12343  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Webcam sex for bitcoins on: October 10, 2016, 07:18:37 AM
I won't waste my bitcoins just to have webcam sex. I can just google some websites that are offering this type of service for free. And I can remember of one signature campaign that is offering this type of service. If I'm not mistake that is xotica.tv and you can try to message VIKA NSFW if you want to avail her services.

Same here, i wont waste  my bitcoin  just to engage with this  webcam sex its a crazy thing to do to waste your money  which you could able to see this for  free here in  the  internet world. Better to save your bitcoin for future  use than to waste it  with these  kind of websites. I do also saw that sig campaign about xotica.tv. lol

I've seen some people wasting their money for that kind of service and its totally awfull since you cannot see the girl in person and some of them are just recorded, so thats why i don't even bother to look up for that kind of service and not even throw even single money on any kind of that such sites, so i think its really better to look in pornsite since we can watch free and find better action. Cheesy

Agree, its better  to  watch porn sites  compare on to these webcam sex which are  totally a dumb thing to do and i agree some may be already recorded and  you are  just wasting  you precious bitcoin  just other would  make fool of you. lol. Better to watch  different  porn scenes  and they are  free of charge Grin

Not if you want to act out your fantasies. I am happy in my relationship, so I do not need services like this, but there are people out there who have weird fantasies and they want to engage in a non-threatening way, not to endanger their partner. So they act out these fantasies in Cyber space. < Not saying this is good or bad >

Some people do not have partners, for whatever reason, and engaging with pretty women and men online, might help them to cope with that.

So let's not judge, before we know what every person's reason is. ^hmmmmm^
12344  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think would have happened if someone had posted this imagen in 2012? on: October 10, 2016, 06:14:21 AM
I can say from experience that it happened to me, because I was at a party and a drunk geek told me that Bitcoin would be the thing of the future. This was mid way into 2011, when there was a little spike. I did not take him seriously, because at the end of December of that year, it flattened out again.

It was just after the peak in 2013, when I saw him again and he was driving a brand new car, that I took him seriously. Since then, I have been buying non-stop and most of that was from him at a small discount. ^smile^
12345  Economy / Economics / Re: Implications of a Hillary Presidency: Non-Traditional & Hard Assets? on: October 10, 2016, 06:04:39 AM
We will see more senseless wars for Oil under the blanket of terrorism and increased Police state governance and continued debt spiraling out of control. Then you will see riots, like we have seen with other countries and this will have a global economic impact on the innocent people in other countries. ^hmmmm^

You cannot go on anything these politicians are saying now, they are concentrating on gathering votes. Empty promises will be made and the opposite will be done, when they achieve their goal.
12346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: COD Infinite Warfare's size is 130GB, and people cry about 85GB of blockchain? on: October 10, 2016, 05:56:12 AM
There are many ways to kill a cat. One guy can download it, and distribute it, and just sync up when a friend needs it. In some countries they have different rules for local and international bandwidth. So you could use your local bandwidth to download the Blockchain, if you need to do that.

People will always complain, just because they can. It's in their nature. ^smile^
12347  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you already become a USD millionaire through Bitcoin? on: October 10, 2016, 05:47:48 AM
Even though nobody would truthfully respond to this, I still think some people on here are already on that level. The early adopters will definitely have more or less 1700 bitcoins stored somewhere. { At my calculations, with a current price of about $600 per bitcoin. }

Other currencies that are currently much weaker than the US $, { 10 to 15 times } should already have Bitcoin millionaires in their countries, because that require only 120 to 200 bitcoins. ^crazy^
12348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Build website using Bitcoin and Torrent technology> Decentralized! on: October 10, 2016, 05:35:12 AM
Centralization are bad in so many ways, for example vulnerability to DoSS attacks and also forced closure of sites to just name a few. Innovation like this, will open the gate to other projects like decentralized exchanges. We are seeing increased movement towards Police state governance and abuse of power, so we need to protect ourselves with innovative technologies like this.

OP, thanks for the info. ^smile^
12349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee’s MGT Goes Into Bitcoin Mining, With Massive Amount of Hardware on: October 10, 2016, 05:27:40 AM
When did they start?
If they're making more than 50 BTC per month, I say it's good.

The article says late June, but I'm not sure whether that was the actual turning on of the machines. And it's $50,000 to date, not per month.

If, they have been mining since June, they would have mined for more or less 4 months. This gives them a Gross income of +/- $ 12 500 per month. I would say, that is not bad for a experimental phase in their operation. If I was them, I would have done the same. Invest a little bit at the start, see if it is profitable and then expand.

You do not jump into something without testing the water. ^smile^
12350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: October 10, 2016, 05:22:31 AM
Nope, If there are jail time involved, I would not use it. I have a family and a full time job to think of and no technology is worth the risk to go to jail and lose all of that. I would be one of the voices going up against laws like this, but I would never endanger my family.

The bitcoins I own now, would be send to friends in other countries where bitcoin is legal in exchange for legal fiat currencies. ^smile^
12351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ¿What will happen when there is no more coins? on: October 07, 2016, 06:44:08 AM
You can have one of two scenarios for this to happen :

1. All coins are mined, and nobody is selling their coins. < The estimated date is 2140 based on the block reward halving frequency of four years.  >

2. Nobody is selling any coins now, and all new coins are being hoarded by the miners. < This will also not happen, because mining for bitcoins is expensive and the money to pay for those expenses has to come from the bitcoins being mined. >

So, in conclusion : There will be bitcoins in circulation until 2140 and long after that time, when we will not be around. This is to say, if Bitcoin are not replaced or something bad happened for it to collapse.
12352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Presidential election on: October 07, 2016, 06:33:21 AM
People get flustered by the smallest things, and by the looks of things, the traders on the world markets are the worst of them all. The US Presidential election is sparking a lot of attention, because Trump <a non-politician> are going up against a <strong politician>

Trump is very outspoken and a Reality TV celebrity with very controversial views and opinions. If some of his statements becomes a reality, when he wins the elections <which I doubt> then this will create market turmoil all over the world. People will try to find safe heavens to protect their wealth and they might see Bitcoin as a option to do that.

I saw a joke the other day, it goes like this. < The one guy said to his friend, I would like to see Trump as president. Friend : Why, He is a idiot! The guy : Well, I was not around when Kennedy got assassinated, so I would love to get another chance at seeing something like that being done. >

I hope this does not happen, but the USA is a strange place and politics is dark business. ^hmmmmm^
12353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: European Drug Report: Dark Net Rising in Use, Making Drugs Safer on: October 07, 2016, 06:16:25 AM
Ok, this is a new spin on the old, "Bitcoin is evil because it's used on the Darknet to buy drugs" Now they are saying Bitcoin can be good for the drug trade, because it facilitates a method to deal drugs that are safer than the drugs on the street. You can now give feedback on the quality of the drugs you bought.

I just wonder how many of the dead people can give their their feedback on the bad drugs they have bought? ^hmmm^
12354  Economy / Speculation / Re: $BTC Weekend Price Prediction on: October 07, 2016, 05:34:47 AM
Price predictions are like weather predictions. In theory everything should happen like the theory predict and then something good or bad happens and everything goes to hell. We are seeing steady growth, but one Bitfinex event could blow this progress back to the $200 levels.

I would have thought the announcement about the first LN transaction that was done, should have sparked some upward trend in the price, but I think that might be a bit optimistic and premature. ^smile^
12355  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: bitcoin mining on: October 07, 2016, 05:27:26 AM
It all depends on what you want to mine. Forget about Bitcoin mining, because solo mining for bitcoins will not be profitable. You can mine Alt coins, but you have to consider which Alt coins to mine, and then sell quickly. These Alt coins are fly by night operations, and it would be here today and gone tomorrow. ^hmmmm^

How much money do you plan to sink into this mining operation of yours? Do you pay for the electricity or do you have cheap electricity? How cold is it in your area?
12356  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any good Bitcoin games around? on: October 07, 2016, 05:21:06 AM
Go through all of these posts, and you will not find one game, developed purely for Bitcoin. This is surely a gap in the market for all the developers out there, that needs a new project. They can pull in graphic designers and a lot of other people involved in this scene and create job opportunities for many people.

This was my favorite Bitcoin mining game : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQKTN08_RIE

I was interested to play this game, after watching this video. They are still paying ?

Sorry, I cannot tell you... because I cannot find them anymore. If you find the URL link to the game, please PM me. The payment was not mind blowing, but the game was addictive and fun. My kids had hours of fun in the game, and I paid them in fiat for all the bitcoins they mined. < Yea, yea, I know cheap Child labor > At least they enjoyed it. ^smile^

We need more games like this. Most of the games seem to be geared towards mobile devices now. ^sad^
12357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Naughty America Productions and DECENT Cooperation on: October 07, 2016, 05:15:02 AM
There are so much free porn on the internet, that companies like this will surely have to be on the front line of innovation to be able to sell there content. I cannot see how this technology would stop pirates? It will be interesting to see what they will be doing with this, because other non-porn related content, could also benefit from this.

It still cannot solve the problem with free porn, making up the large majority of available porn on the internet. ^hmmmm^
12358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will price be at around $700 by end of october on: October 06, 2016, 06:57:07 AM
The The Winklevoss twins are pushing through some new trades on their platform, but I do not know if this will be enough to push us into the $700 bracket. There has to be something bigger than that to get a $90 increase in the price for us to get $700 by the end of October.

We have seen some higher demand in early December, when people start buying Xmas gifts. I hope merchants are gearing up for that. ^smile^
12359  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and paying Tax on: October 06, 2016, 06:36:03 AM
Was their any stipulation in the Satoshi White paper where it states that Bitcoin was developed to assist in Tax evasion? Nope. A lot of people are using Bitcoin in a regulated environment. < Coinbase, BitPay, Circle, etc. > and these people's accounts are linked to their bank accounts. They pay their taxes and they operate within the laws of their countries. The rest, will bring the IRS onto themselves, when they are audited and it was found that they are using Bitcoin or any other Crypto currency to bypass taxes

I'm afraid that the rest reside in China, and they would just laugh in the face of the IRS. I don't know how Bitcoin is taxed in China, if ever (everyone is welcome to chime in on this matter), but if the Russian government finally accepts Bitcoin as a foreign currency, no one will be paying taxes on it just like no one had been paying anything before. Since exchange operations with a foreign currency can be conducted only by institutions that have a Central bank license (read banks), cash and non-cash currency exchange is officially considered as an activity that can be undertaken only by banks in Russia...

But no one actually follows these rules in respect to, say, US dollars, and even less would do in respect to Bitcoin

I have taken one example with the IRS in the USA, but in other countries people might be doing the opposite. Take this as a example of what may be going on in other countries, "What is the national pastime of China? If you answered gambling, you probably have a few Chinese friends. What is the national pastime of Chinese business people? If you answered tax evasion, corruption and money laundering, then you’ve tried to do business in China. When a handful of businessmen merged these two pastimes, they made a fortune by building casinos in Macao. Now, the Chinese government is cracking down on Macau, but cultures don’t change—they find new outlets. Is Bitcoin the next combination of these pastimes?" Source : http://www.valuewalk.com/2016/05/chinese-dominate-bitcoin-trading/

My point is, Bitcoin <The technology> was not designed for tax evasion or capital flight, but people use it in different ways. They will in the end, have to explain to their local tax agencies, where they get the money and where that money is going. ^hmmmmm^
12360  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are there only questions in this part of the forums? on: October 06, 2016, 06:17:47 AM
Because this is the only part of the forum that signature campaign managers allow spamming with terrible English. It requires pretty much minimal English ability to respond here, and as everybody knows, this is the home of signature campaign spammers. Honestly, it's not worth posting here even if you have an honest opinion about something, because the spammers will drown you out in a few minutes.

Says the guy with the Rollin signature. ^smile^ For your information, most other forums on anything else, has the highest posts in the "general area" dedicated to open & free discussion on the topic. So it would just be logical that you will have a higher concentration of threads in that section of the forum.

The Signature campaign managers will obviously target that area, because they will get the highest exposure for the product or service they are advertising. Just ask the forum owners to provide you with a report, to show where the most activity is on any forum, and you will find that it would be in the general discussion area. ^smile^

I hosted many forums before, and all of these advertisers ask the same questions. < Maximum exposure >
