12341  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I buy my Btc now or wait it dumps a bit ? on: February 25, 2017, 04:40:32 AM
Nowhere else but on bitcointalk will you hear of a drop in price of an asset referred to as a "dump".  If you hear the phrase "pump and dump", it's always in the context of a scam.  Stop using the word "dump" as signifying a simple dip.

No one can tell you whether to buy now or wait with any accuracy, nor does anyone here know anything about you and your risk appetite.  Do what you feel is right.
12342  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE DUMP on: February 25, 2017, 04:32:14 AM
Even if OP has been saying the same thing since 2009, I happen to agree with him--at least somewhat.  We have been rising very fast, and it may just be speculation based on the ETF coming out.  Who knows.  But if anyone sold at $1200, that would be completely understandable.  You never know where the top is going to be in the market, but taking a profit when you have one is never a bad thing.
12343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not dead yet but should be. on: February 25, 2017, 04:15:45 AM
LOL, "essentially worthless".  Er, no it's worth about $1100 per bitcoin, actually.  That reminds me of all the goldbugs who say fiat is worthless--and no doubt it's fiat they use to buy their groceries and pay their rent.  Fiat isn't worthless either.  Yeah, this is a pretty garbage article but some of the points are good, like exchanges going under.  That doesn't really mean anything for bitcoin itself, though.  There are dozens or hundreds of banks that failed in 2008-09 and it takes nothing away from fiat.

It sounds like a 19-year old wrote this article, doesn't it?
12344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IPTVReseller is a scammer on: February 25, 2017, 04:09:09 AM
Why would you send money to a person who locks their threads so that no one can complain ?
To be fair, TheButterZone does that constantly, but he's a pretty trusted seller.  This dude here isn't, and as such that definitely should have set off alarm bells.  Did you seriously lose 3 btc?
12345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: price at all time high while utility at all time low on: February 24, 2017, 11:00:42 PM
Bitcoin sucks the big sack as a currency,  for the reasons you mentioned and more, BUT it's just dandy as an investment and store of value.  Transaction fees and confirmation times don't matter that much for those uses.
12346  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DavidXXXX (UID = 875854) scammer on: February 24, 2017, 06:52:12 PM
Can you elaborate on it? Is it a forum policy not to get involved or something?
The forum policy dictates that the staff does not get involved with scammers. In other words, they will not ban someone for scamming.

Many people are confirmed scammers with hard proofs and they keep scamming new members.
That's why the trust system exists. You should have checked the user's rating and avoided trading with them after seeing the red from me.

Yup it's like any other feedback system in the world. If you use it properly you'll avoid scams. We've known this guy was an obvious scammer for a long time. Always check the trusted feedback AND the untrusted feedback.
Not necessarily,  though.  I've never scammed anyone here, yet I have tons of negative feedback calling me a scammer.  All retaliatory.   And I got scammed by a grern-trusted member who had no negs at all.  The system here is completely broken.  It boggles my mind that people defend it like they do.
12347  Other / Meta / Re: Moderated Threads in Marketplace from people with red trust on: February 23, 2017, 10:49:27 PM
There are NO valid references for any of that guy's feedback.  I'm not sure I'd trust any of it.  You can leave anyone a neg, but without proof it's meaningless.
12348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have stopped introducing bitcoin to others! on: February 23, 2017, 07:34:28 AM
Cant argue with that also. It needs deeper knowledge for them to truly understand which they wont because they want to stay on they convenient zone.
One thing you just have to keep on your mind, that is their opinion and we have ours. We try to share it with them. If they resist then it is fine also. We dont lose anything but they lose the way to see a new beginning or could make their life new.
Those people just want to stay at that comfort zone which is the wrong thinking specially now with all the hard things with the economy.
That's complete bullshit, sorry.  You're not more intelligent because you use an internet currency that pretty much no one accepts, and that costs money to obtain and use.  Get over yourself.  OP is completely right--or rather, the ones arguing against btc as a currency are right.  It's a shitty currency.  End of story.
12349  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auctioning Pinned Post : Facebook Groups on: February 22, 2017, 05:48:08 AM
Msti is still online, why don't you wait a bit?  The other one I negged.
12350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Egad. 81,000 + Transactions Unconfirmed. Again. Ugh! on: February 22, 2017, 04:44:06 AM
Yep, I have two unconfirmed transactions.  I actually bought something online with bitcoin, and now it's not going to ship until my payment makes it through the blockchain.  Fuck this.  It would have been SOOOOO much easier to pay with a debit card.  This is the absolute LAST TIME I spend bitcoin.  If anyone is wondering why bitcoin will fail as a currency, it's this.
12351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I transfer my cash without leaving a trace? on: February 22, 2017, 04:42:14 AM
This is either for illegal purposes or else OP is severely paranoid.  I won't feed into either of those things, so good luck on whatever you decide to do, OP.

Cold, hard cash is pretty damn anonymous.  Bitcoin isn't.  The detectives on this forum can easily figure out who's getting what, so super secret spy agencies could probably figure out a hell of a lot more.  Ah, who cares.  In the long run we're all dead anyway.
12352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Are You losing Interest ? on: February 22, 2017, 03:57:46 AM
There's nothing in the altcoin scene except pure gambling and scamming--and that doesn't interest me in the least.

LOL, sure?
Your signature is saying something else Smiley ...
I rent out my signature, yes.  They pay me for that, but I don't personally like gambling--but that's not what I meant anyway.  I meant that playing around with altcoins, i.e., the buying and selling of them in expectation of profit (speculation) is pure gambling.  Not casino gambling, sure, but it's still way too risky for me.
12353  Economy / Services / Re: ۩۞۩ secondstrade.com ★signature campaign★upto0.00017/post on: February 22, 2017, 12:29:06 AM
these changeable campaigns should do what coinroll did from minute one - price the posts in cents and price it up every day. everyone knows where they stand then and it's way less head ache for the admins.
It's a very good idea, but Secondstrade has a habit of not responding to its campaign participants--not even communicating anything other than driving the rates down.  It's not likely they're going to go with an intelligent suggestion.  It's complete bullshit, and hopefully when everyone walks from this campaign, they'll get the message.
12354  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1100 broken, ATH incoming on: February 21, 2017, 09:40:32 PM
It's not that China isn't relevant anymore, they are just waiting out how the actions of the PBOC will play out because there is definitely more to come. Other than that, depending on what exchange you use as a benchmark for the ATH, it will be possible to see a new ATH within a month if the ETF turns out to be approved. It's less than $100 we need to eat through in order to set a new record price. It feels fantastic being a holder with Bitcoin having so much upwards potential. Grin

China was all smoke and mirrors, their volume was fake, they no longer control anything. Their hashing power is also a scam, there are a lot of different mining pools that are owned by the same idiots which btw continue to not signal for segwit.

China will sooner or later get deprecated, their ONLY strong point is that they get cheap eletricity. THAT IS LITERALLY ALL. All good coders, innovation, etc, is not chinese. China is only making us lag behind in bitcoin adoption by not signaling for segwit, that's all. They are useless.
Fuck China, and I mean that in a very broad sense.

Now as far as $1100 being hit, I'm totally cool with that, and I'll definitely be watching the price.  I figured we'd break to the upside.
12355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Are You losing Interest ? on: February 21, 2017, 09:13:53 PM
Yes to altcoins, maybe to bitcoin itself.  There's nothing in the altcoin scene except pure gambling and scamming--and that doesn't interest me in the least.

Bitcoin is pissing me off.  I'm currently buying something with bitcoin, and the transaction is stuck in the blockchain.  Would have been so much easier to buy with cash, and that's what I'm doing next time.  It's ridiculous.  And this forum is a cesspool of degenerate retards.
12356  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin reach 2000$ ? on: February 21, 2017, 04:23:34 AM
how much you could store to be satisfy in the future ?
Didn't understand this part at all.  But as far as hitting $2000, hell yes we can get there!  I'm thinking by the end of the year for that.  First we have to surpass the old ATH, and we're slowly getting there.  Barring any significant crashes, it'll happen.  I'm hopeful...and I have no rational basis for my opinion, much like others on this forum.   Cheesy
12357  Economy / Services / Re: ۩۞۩ secondstrade.com ★signature campaign★upto0.00017/post on: February 21, 2017, 04:05:46 AM
I have received the payment and i am confirming that here. I think its really low payment for full member + rank members. hope they increase soon.
You tool, do you really think after all the DECREASES, the rate is going to "increase soon"?  Better vote with your feet and dump this campaign.  If this sort of shit starts happening and everyone just accepts it, we're all screwed for signature campaigns.  You can't allow people to get away with this.
12358  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod's free feedback to Lauda ! WOW ! on: February 21, 2017, 02:57:36 AM
OP is clearly trolling.  If he had a valid point, it was made in the first thread he created.  Since then he's been spamming the forum with this garbage vendetta for which he's garnering ZERO support.  I'm not for censoring people, and this isn't an attempt to brown-nose Yahoo or Lauda, but can't admins just ban this idiot for trolling.  It's definitely not allowed on this forum, and what he's doing is a pretty good example of it.
12359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Places to Sell Bitcoin on: February 21, 2017, 02:16:12 AM
OP, you have some positive feedback in your trust profile (and no negs), so that's in your favor.  I'm kind of in the same boat.  You can visit the Currency Exchange section here, and there are always people looking to buy bitcoin with various payment methods.  I would just watch out for PayPal and newbies trying to use that to buy bitcoin.  I've done several successful transactions with trusted members, but you just never know who's going to turn out to be a scammer in the end.  Just be careful.

And there's also the face-to-face method, as others have mentioned.  Never done that, but it'd probably work out fine for you.
12360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had 10K $, what coins would you invest in? on: February 21, 2017, 01:48:37 AM
1) A car, as I currently am hoofing it.
2) Bank of America stock, which is headed for $40/share, and I have no doubt they're going to increase their dividend as the years go on.  They're still recovering from the mortgage-security crash from 2008.
3) PROBABLY bitcoin.
4) I wouldn't buy any altcoins whatsoever.  There's nothing good, I don't care what kind of smoke the people here are trying to blow up our asses.
