12383  Other / Meta / Re: How can a member have an avatar? on: August 19, 2015, 01:35:49 PM
No, when the forum was hacked in late 2013(?) the changing of avatars was disabled. Anyone with an avatar could not change their avatar however theymos would remove avatars upon request.
Huh forum was hacked before, never heard of it but why would theymos want to disable changing of avatars, I mean hacked accounts and avatars, don't see any connection between them.

Avatars has been used to hack the forum using an exploit on them .
for more informations here is the hack video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKrOHAfMdxI  , theymos know the hacker however he decided to not do anything to him .
12384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin go mainstream vs keep his value ?? on: August 19, 2015, 01:28:00 PM
What would you preferr and how much BTC you have ??

Since supply stays the same and gets halved each four years , Logically it means that if we go mainstream then the price will rise for sure since there will be more demand . so yeah I'am for mainstream
12385  Other / Meta / Re: How can a member have an avatar? on: August 19, 2015, 01:08:02 PM
Was just going thru some unread posts and bam, I saw a member guy with an avatar, anyone care to explain how this could've happened?
The guy's prof. link : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=66209

Why he shouldn't have one ? before we wasen't able to get avatars unless you was registered on 2013 I believe .
However Theymos was able to fix , now everyone can use them even newbies no ?
12386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 0.11.0 wallet. Stupid Question where is my Address? on: August 19, 2015, 11:56:18 AM
You can without requesting any payment actually .
Go to "File" on the menu => Receiving adresses and that's it , you should get the following and you can generate as many as you want .

12387  Economy / Economics / Re: Alright , Time to Dump or Time to Buy ? on: August 19, 2015, 11:24:29 AM
dump? ofc no, let the people fall in panic, is a good opportunity for others like me to buy like a possessed Tongue

soon, people will realize than this is just a movement from the XT guys, but dont worry, people will notice it soon Wink

But what if this panic selling is getting us away from mainstream ?
I mean if people are in PANIC right now , they most likely would sell all their coins then walk away from the bitcoin community which makes it harder to go to mainstream with less people  logically , no ?
12388  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is this site scam? on: August 19, 2015, 10:52:39 AM

12389  Economy / Speculation / Re: why bitcoin is dumped so hard? on: August 19, 2015, 07:17:31 AM
This Price fluctuation of Bitcoin can continue till the fork in January.  Only after that fork, Bitcoin price can stabilize.

january, where is the source of this, would you mind writing it ? because i thought it was around 1 march

Some people panic to sell there bitcoin

apparently is very easy to instigate panic selling, well more cheap cons for the other, see this as a donation

Visit http://xtnodes.com/ and put your mouse when you see mine or Look the tooltip on the right on the TOP :

12390  Economy / Speculation / Re: why bitcoin is dumped so hard? on: August 19, 2015, 07:07:55 AM

People in general and investors are afraid to lose their money so they are dumping while they can , I'am not sure what the twin brothers did though they have millions invested in BTC  Huh
That's probably nothing and I guess it will continue going down and down till January 11 when that fork happens . I myself im in panic but I'am trying to hold my self from doing stupid shit , I earned my BTc without any efforts so whatever happens happens I suppose there is nothing we could do about it .
Early adopters will definitly hold because they was present with old forks that happened etc .. and they know how the stuff works .

12392  Economy / Economics / Alright , Time to Dump or Time to Buy ? on: August 19, 2015, 06:53:23 AM
Alright guys ,
the situation right now is not the best situation we ever had to be honest , I bet that this is because of the BitcoinXt and investors are afraid on their money and why not they have all the right for that right ?. What do you guys think people should do right now dump and just save their selfs since they can ? or simply buy right now because it's not going anywhere lower then this .
12393  Economy / Digital goods / Anomaly Warzone Earth - Free Steam Keys #3 on: August 19, 2015, 06:49:36 AM

12394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin XT has code which downloads your IP address to facilitate blacklisting on: August 19, 2015, 06:31:16 AM
What the actual fuck , guys does this mean that Lightweight wallets like Electrum & Multibit will be affected aswell since those will be full running nodes on their servers , does it mean we will get affected too or it's only who is using BitcoinXT client directly
12395  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GAUGING INTEREST: Mass-Produced 3D Printed Physical Bitcoin on: August 19, 2015, 06:19:01 AM
I guess 20$ is little bit expensive , maybe 15$ ? If it's really beautiful and creative then people may pay whatever it takes to get it .

also I just found  you this link : https://grabcad.com/library/bitcoin-1 (you have register to get the file I assume) also look oat the right there is "simillar models" Smiley Good luck ! pls show us the result once you do it .
12396  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: GAUGING INTEREST: Mass-Produced 3D Printed Physical Bitcoin on: August 19, 2015, 05:51:43 AM
Would $20 be a good enough sale price?

Considering:

  • around $46 per spool of plastic
  • around 2 hours taken to print
  • specific environment to print

Well  , have you find a good design or you are going to use the one that I provided ? I was able to see how it looks like and it's pretty simple and dosen't contain anything at all . just a 3D model
12397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gavin, the NSA and XT... on: August 18, 2015, 08:51:47 PM
I don't see where is the problem here to be honest , if youthink NSA = XT and the BitcoinXT is just another open-source software program like Bitcoin Core ..; sooner or later we will know if there is backdoors or whatever so this aint a problem .
12398  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: August 18, 2015, 08:47:02 PM

3D printers should read STL format as far as I know , here you go this design : http://www.mediafire.com/download/cl9buxmn03iu787/bitcoin.stl  [Source : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=352556.0 ]
I'am not sure how it looks like but I guess you could try and give it a shoot , if you print it please share with us the results on the topic with a screenshot Grin
