12381  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: December 18, 2015, 08:10:32 AM
Your strategy looks interesting.. But martingale sometimes its work for but i didnt use the real bitcoin i use the free faucet bonus..
And try my luck with martingale and 25% chance. some times i got 0.0012 with starting bet of 1 satoshis...
But i will try that strategy...

Man, that "strategy" is a killer, it will kill your whole balance in no time. You might only have some fun playing like that with small amounts, but for realz - it's a killer.
Yeah i know thats why i only using the free coins in dice site.
Sometimes i got won some times i lost but its just for fun and try my luck with martingale strategy using free faucet bonus...
Im still studying the dice game to gain a profit with the real bitcoin..

I wish you good luck with that of course, but unfortunately there is no way to learn how to gain profit from a dice game by "studying". This is no Biology, mate. With gambling every time you think you know exactly how to win you lose everything. Happened many times to many people (me included).

Also balance is now 0

For $5 I risked 2 BTC kms

you must be regret doing that.
i can turn 2 btc to 2.3 btc at least in a day by doing altcoin trade.
very unlucky guy.

I hope you understand that altcoin trading is almost the same thing as gambling: you might make a lot of money but you also might lose everything in one day.

If you knew a certain way to turn 2 btc to 2.3 btc in a day you'd be a billionaire in a year.

High
Do you knowany reputable place to bet on Horse Racing
Thanks in advance

Hey,

On http://www.directbet.eu you can bet on horse racing.

Good luck! Smiley

I agree. Directbet is okay.

Just curious, why do you want to bet on Horse Racing? Aren't those arranged as almost anything else in sports?

Good luck anyway! Smiley
12384  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: December 17, 2015, 10:40:34 AM
I think I would invest 50% of that amount. 25% would be invested in mining equipment. Rest 25% would be left aside, for private use.

Now you made me think that I need to play the lotto, even I'm not a fan of luck games. Damn you!

Haha, yeah! I thought so too!  Cheesy Although I heard that the chance of winning in say The UK National Lottery is lesser than to die before you can get your prize (even if you win).  Grin  But nevertheless we all are trying.
12385  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: December 17, 2015, 10:27:47 AM
Are you mining solo, or in a pool? Because I highly doubt you'll mine a block solo. Even with a couple of antminers.

Mining in a pool won't be profitable either, so many people are mining alongside you.

But id recommend holding your coins (if your talking about bitcoin), as theyre +EV. So obvious they don't be going down soon, the only reason they dropped last time, was because of MT Gox. Screw them.

As uh... Lagsalot said,
Bitcoin is bound to go up. Sure, people say it's deflationary, but just think. After 21 million coins, bitcoin's amount will be static, even decreasing, because of the list coins out there. This is why I'm buying coins for my gf this Christmas Grin

What a nice decision! I don't know why I didn't think about that myself. You should consider maybe buying a physical one. Anyway your gf has chosen the right guy, pass my regards to her:)

12386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone buy during $1200? on: December 17, 2015, 10:06:27 AM
If btc reach $1200 i exchange all my bitcoins to fiat Cheesy
Buy time: 200-300$
Sell time: Over 700$
I'm waiting for 2000$ Cheesy

Alright then i guess I can make a sort of prediction here  Smiley

1. You will never buy Bitcoins again (BTC will never drop below $300 )

2. You will start selling part of your coins in 2017 (when it will be over $700 )

3. If you are waiting for $2000 to sell all your coins then you'll hold most of your coins several years from now
12387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So...bitcoin is now a national currency on: December 16, 2015, 04:40:42 PM
Although there are only 4 people in the "country" I think this is a big step for Bitcoin. And also this is a very smart move from their side too (I mean the Government of the nation Smiley ) From now on they will be in the history of Bitcoin forever.
12388  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] Best Dice of 2015 on: December 16, 2015, 04:22:34 PM
Voted for PrimeDice and I'm glad that I'm not alone  Smiley

Actually PrimeDice has got more votes than any other site in the POLL. And they deserve it also I think.

IMO what distinguishes PD from other dice gambling sites is their CHAT. I know some folks who even stopped gambling but still appear sometimes in PD chat. )
12389  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BitFury has the No. 1 Crown for Now... on: December 16, 2015, 11:26:58 AM

Maybe.  They have 6 months to make some money off of it before the halving.  Halving is coming.

and the halving is bad why ?. if bitcoins keep going up how they are the halving will have no effect at all the only thing i see bad is 12.5 less coins per block and higher difficulty, i don't see that as bad unless the chip makers try to shut out everyone and  mine for them self, which is possible, but some one will come a long and stop that unless the laws of the land stop home miners or make it to hard to do it in your home, by law.

I don't think they ever planned to do it. The article says that they "announced mass-production of its full-custom design 16nm Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) Chip". But even if they were so "evil" that they only mine for themselves with the chip, I bet someone else would develop a similar chip or would just pirate this one. )
12390  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: December 16, 2015, 11:06:59 AM
I am, by nature, a pessimist and everything will become nothing in the end, including bitcoin.  I know that all those altcoins I see on Cryptsy and Yobit are going to bite the dust at some point--and I'd bet money that that's going to happen well before bitcoin bites it.  Entropy always wins out in the end.  Always.

That's an interesting point. I agree with you on all those altcoins except maybe Litecoin and very few others, but Bitcoin I think has a big future. I'm not talking about billions of years, you are absolutely right at that part, Entropy always wins out in the end, but in the let's call it near future, in the next 200-300 years, Bitcoin will not disappear and I think that this period of time is which is more logical to talk about.
12391  Economy / Gambling / Re: I know how provably fair works but... on: December 16, 2015, 09:58:11 AM
To answer OP's question, There are different types/kinds of  "scripts/algo" one can use to generate a random seed, and most of the time, it varies from site to site, depending on how it was programmed by their dev. But nowadays, devs stick to what is "common" therefor you might see different sites that uses same algo to generate a random seed. But ofcourse it doesn't mean both site will have the same server seed, (tho there is a very very slim chance it could happen).

You can program a computer to generate a random number, but that program is and will always be at the mercy of its programming. So you cannot actually say that it has given you a random number because the fact is, its just following the sequence of how it is programmed, it generally starts with something then follows a pattern. Tho the complexity of the result is enough to be called random, its never truly random since it is just ruled by a consistently repeating algorithm. This are called "pseudo-random number generators" (PRNG). And most of the site uses this kind of way to generate their seeds.

So any script/algo programmed on a computer is always a PRNG? Answer is No.. One can generate a True Random Number Generator (TRNG) on a computer, this is by use of different kinds of entropy. Some uses a device that relies on thermal, noise or any unpredictable environmental elements that we as humans have no control over. And this can be called a true random number generator. Like ryan said, one can use /dev/random, which uses environmental noise. Another example is, Random.org, which they claim, uses atmospheric noise to generate a true randomness.

So the fact is, most sites uses PRNG? Yes. So there is a possibility to crack it? YES and NO. If we talk of possibility, then yes there is always a possibility of something, but the probability of that happening is so low. Like i said above, the complexity of the results of a PRNG is enough to be called random, therefore the chance to crack a single seed is so low that if compared, you'd have better chance of winning the lottery than trying to crack it in a lifetime.

Thank you very much for your explanation! It is written in simple language and at the same time is shedding light on such complicated and incomprehensible things that I can say nothing but WOW! Man, you should write books.
12392  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Pics of Large Miner Hosting Center Under Construction on: December 16, 2015, 09:35:00 AM
Are you going to exclusively host the miners that will be sent by us or will you be hosting self-miners which can be bought simultaneously? (just like a typical cloud-mining service)

We don't do cloud hashing at all, and have no plans to offer cloud hash at this time, and I don't see that changing for the foreseeable future. We strictly do collocation: You send us the miner: we provide power, networking, and cooling.

This looks like a honest enterprise to me. I'm always saying something against any cloud mining because I think they all scam, in short.

But providing power, networking and cooling is absolutely different thing.

I wish you guys good luck. I believe you are going to create something great.

I couldn't stop, I'm a retard.

I feel like breaking my pc now I could've done so much with that 1k

Yes you could have done many things with that 1k, even you could open rollin like site with that amount. Its better to play with 50-50% wining odd with small amount and for 5$, you could have only lost 5$.

I agree. I'd even say it's better to play 1% winning chance betting just 5 cents at a time. At least I prefer doing just that. If you are lucky then you win, if not then you lose $2-$3, not more.

But if you have a gambling addiction you better stop gambling at all. There are so much fun around apart from gambling!
12395  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: December 15, 2015, 11:32:06 AM
You are right. Everytime i sell my Bitcoin, the price tends to go higher Cheesy But if i buy them the price drops...So i dont really know what is the best thing to do. Right now, i would probably sell them at $500, because i believe the price will drop after christmas.

I don't agree. Why do you think the price will drop after christmas?

If the price of Bitcoin were over $500 now, then, yes, it would drop a bit, but around $500 is a fair price for Bitcoin for the year which is coming. I have explained many times why I think so (and other people did that too), so now I would say that that just my opinion.
12396  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: December 14, 2015, 08:11:15 PM
Lets say you won the lottery..

You've just received a million dollars and are ready to do something with your new found money.

You have no CC debt to pay off and have an average mortgage for a working class citizen - maybe you have around $150,000 left to pay off for your house.

You're free to spend as you wish. And invest if you wish.

Would you buy a heap load of bitcoin to sit on?

If so.. how much?

Well, right now I can buy 2,260 BTC and I would definitely do it. It's pity that I didn't win "a million dollars" several months ago though. I could have bouht much more Bitcoins with that money then. )
12397  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: December 13, 2015, 02:20:02 PM
Thanks for all replay, what i mean is, i mining right now a lot of diff coins like DogeCoin, LiteCoin, TakCoin, TitCoin and lots more.

Will it be good to save it, our shut i sell it now? i do it on hobby base and if i sell it now i don't earn so much on it right now, so i think if i save all my diffient coins i have mininet to later, ist that a good point?

As you can see even LiteCoin is dropping in it's value compared to BTC. You can do whatever you want of course, but I'd suggest you to exchange all your altcoins for Bitcoins and then keep them and mine Bitcoins only too.
12398  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Idea to extract hot air for better cooling efficiency on: December 13, 2015, 09:29:47 AM
I was thinking in attaching some ducts to the fan outputs of the miners were it pushes the hot air out and those ducts will go outdoors. Like using the same miners as extractos... I was thinking that it was a better idea than using a room extractor because the room extractor will extract the hot air and the cool air from the air conditioner as well. But if the miners are the extractors, the cool air will just have one way to go, through the miners.

Avalon 6 are the miners that I intend to use.

Apart from other helpful advices in this thread you should consider that the noize you have in the room when the miners are running might increase dramatically if you will attach some ducts to the fan outputs.
12399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anyone buy during $1200? on: December 13, 2015, 09:08:21 AM
No, I didn't buy because to invest in something you should have extra money and what I normally have is just the amount to buy food, to pay bills and to spend a bit on fun. But even if I had the money I wouldn't buy at $1200. At the time I thought that  the fair price for 1 BTC is $1000 and that it will drop from $1200 to $1k and will stay there forever. I was wrong obviously. )

I was gambling on like 50 different sites today, thanks to rollin.io I made 0.6 BTC in a few bets :-)

Proof for the non believers

Goodnight & gamble safe hehe

Congratulations! I was never even close to a profit like this in one day. Did you make the screenshot of your bets?

I'm also waiting for your strategy since you told here that you'll share it. Not that I trust to any strategy but it's interesting to take a look anyway. )
