1241  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory gamit ang AI on: April 15, 2023, 06:21:30 PM

1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 15, 2023, 05:56:52 PM
Although within this community Bitcoin is practically the only currency in which everyone believes, just look around a bit and we will find thousands of people who think otherwise.
At this point I wonder, what reasons should we give these people to make them realise that Bitcoin is a right choice? The first argument that comes to mind to convince a person who is sceptical about Bitcoin, is first of all that with Bitcoin you no longer need to delegate the custody of your money to a third party (banks, mutual funds, etc.): you are the master and you hold them. What else would you add?

I guess it's totally normal for them not to believe in it I mean, why do we even believe in Bitcoin? Because we know bitcoin we know its potential, we know the market, we know its structure, we have experience on bitcoin, maybe because we already earn on bitcoin, etc.

If you are someone who doesn't believe in Bitcoin maybe because you don't know what it is right. So the best thing to do is to teach them about it, which might change their perspective on Bitcoin. I agree that education is needed and could be a good thing if it's going to be taught to students or even in seminars, but sure the government will not teach Bitcoin because they support banks.
1243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can keep me more active here? on: April 14, 2023, 03:22:04 PM
I really want to be here on a daily basis to learn and share knowledge with the forum members but I am not permitted by time to be here, which I believe it's because I really offer nothing here and I also do not seek for anything here.

Is there a possibility that I can do some jobs for people here with my time because I got alot of it this time. This could help me be more active here because if I remember that I have an unfinished task here I'll be compelled to login and do the job. By this bitcointalk.org will have big part of my dairy.

I do not have much skills but I can do the following;
1. Build a HTML website + css and tailwind css.
2. Javascript (next.js and a little of node.js); I'm still learning on this.
3. I can work as visual assistant
4. I can do any legitimate job with little training.
5. I can do any type of writing job(especially fictional, or when given a topic to write about)
6. The advantage I have is my availability, fast learning and willingness to learn.
7. I am not much concerned about the bucks, but atleast if I can keep my internet subscription going I'll be happy.
8. My goal is to be here almost on a daily basis and what something to keep me here.

You could pretty much offer your services in services section: Services

Just create your own thread offering your skills or what you can do, some might hire you if you have a good portfolio, a lot of members looking for developers and programmers here in the forum, just make sure you discuss your qualification on the thread since your a newbie a lot of members will not trust you at that rank.

But I guess it's better to apply for a real job at a private company because it has benefits pays well etc., also developers and programmers are in demand in the industry.
1244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I become productive in this forum? on: April 14, 2023, 02:00:23 PM
I discovered am not growing as expect in the forum and I have realizes so many things about my posts and comments, things like; repetitions, off threads, shallow contents, inability to defend your posts or comments, refused instructions, walking out my strength and best field of knowledge of bitcoin and finally trying to beat or become others.

These statement above makes many victims of not being useful or productive in the forum. Am ready to amends my ways and I guess others too. What have you observed about my page posts and comments? And what did you suggests I best lay on? What's your advised to others? Though am not the only victim here but am only the repented soul for now, please deliver me. Thank you

Looking at your account you are already doing great here in the forum. I mean this wasn't some kind of competitive or anything so could pretty much post or share what you want here in the forum. I guess you just need to continue your journey on cryptocurrency and Bitcoin from that you can share your experience, suggestions, and tips with other members. Ranks don't really matter a lot these days unless you want to join campaigns in the future, as long as you post a lot of useful content you're going to get merits for sure.

Just be yourself and share your experience and expertise I guess, also manage your time here in the forum you don't really need to be online 24/7 if you have something to share or discover something you could post it. The important thing is you learn here in the forum and other members learn from you as well.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not having money helped my Bitcoin journey on: April 14, 2023, 11:19:06 AM
I see how some newbies are complaining about not having enough money to invest in Bitcoin, some times not having money is a blessing in the crypto space, if I had money years ago when I knew about crypto I would have made all the possible mistakes in the book, and that would have cost me a lot.

I had no access to money when I knew about Bitcoin, I had the desire to acquire many Bitcoin but I have no way, instead of moving on with my life I kept myself busy, reading and reading about Bitcoin, installed my first Bitcoin wallet on a Pentium 4 PC, I knew about Proof of work, I tried mining for the first time using a dual-core PC ( second PC ), if I have enough money to invest I wouldn't have had time for all this learning.

I got so calm, because what is there to rush about? I have no money anyways, since that time learning became my first priority.

If you don't have the money yet, maybe because you are jobless or still in school, do not let that be the reason to be out of Bitcoin, there is more you can learn that will help you in your crypto journey.

Money is coming, but be prepared by learning about Bitcoin, you will be in safer hands with the knowledge you would have acquired.

There are always some ways to earn extra money even though you're still a student, a do a lot of extra work on photoshops, and video editing when I'm still a student, and some of that money I used to invest in Bitcoin.

In 2018 I think I join signature campaigns as well and most of my payouts are invested in Bitcoin, Saving some of your allowances would do if you really want it, it was just a small amount so it doesn't matter if it's a risky investment. Also, that's why we have the forum, we learn a lot in the forum not just about Bitcoin as well as how to earn Bitcoin.
1246  Economy / Reputation / Re: I proudly 7 years as a Bitcoin investor. on: April 13, 2023, 05:12:42 AM

BITCOIN THE EAGLES EYES

Good day everyone I am here to announce that today has made me my 7th year as a Bitcoin investor, I am the happiest person today because Bitcoin has given me a lot of gains through investments.
I have invested in Bitcoin since the gear 2015 and I have hold my coins for a long time I almost forgot about it because I even deleted the application I used to purchase Bitcoin, I have been so forbearing that it was during this cashless policy in my country that I remembered about my investment when I first checked the price of bitcoin I was shocked and I didn't believe my eyes until I sold some of my coins, just imagine that if you bought 0.9 Bitcoin and hold it till now, how will you feel?
I don't believe that there is any sudden reduction in Bitcoin price from now till the end of this year or even next year, so please do yourself a good to ingrain in Bitcoin if you haven't.

I mean that's the definition of luck on a Bitcoin investment, and that's one way you could invest in Bitcoin, just buy Bitcoin and completely forget about it then huuuualaa easy profit.

If I'm the one holding that Bitcoin I will be really happy because that's a big amount of money but probably I would complete the 1 Bitcoin because why not? Also, it's not a good time to sell at this moment because the market is just starting to get hyped probably wait till it reaches All time high again, and then would think if I would sell it at that high or even higher.

Wow! What an informative Youtube video right here  Shocked I wasn't aware of this Youtube channel I subscribed and watched all of the videos, I'm really impressed with how well the video was made.

The presentation was highly informative, and production, lightning, etc. was perfect. I learned a lot, I commend everyone that is a part of this well done! Waiting for more episodes... Shocked

I was also a student when I first know bitcoin the value was around 400$ I didn't have money to invest in it as well, I mean bitcoin is a risky investment compared to stocks and other investments it might the riskiest investment because of the volatile market price. I mean we all do a lot of stupid things when we're just getting started on bitcoin investing, accumulating 60$ of bitcoin was a good job of yours. 2$ weekly in your pocket was a good strategy I mean it's not wise to invest everything in Bitcoin so it's already a good start.

Good luck with your Bitcoin investment continue to accumulate Bitcoin and wait for the right opportunity that you think is a fair price to sell your Bitcoin. It wasn't a big amount for now but you could grow your portfolio over time. Relay on the forum member's tips I suppose because youtube influencers are not to be trusted these days.
1249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Recent Price on: April 11, 2023, 05:15:00 PM
Bitcoin has surpassed the $30,000 for the first time since June 2022. It's unclear whether this increase is due to the rise in interest rates or the recent surge in popularity of Dogecoin.

I think the Bitcoin adaptation expand in a lot of countries recently in my country there are a lot of platforms already started to adopt and add Bitcoin to their platforms, and you can start to buy cryptocurrencies on their platforms. Bitcoin halving is also a trend next year so it helps a lot to boost the Bitcoin market price as well, a lot of investors are accumulating a lot of Bitcoin for sure.

Cryptocurrency hype is starting so it would make sense that we see a big spike in the market price, if we look at the news and articles online we can see a lot of cryptocurrency hype.

1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 11, 2023, 04:40:33 PM
~

Bitcoin doesn't really have a proper education in a lot of countries so it just depends on people's experience, and what they think about it, or could also be from gossip.

I think the best way is to promote and adopt Bitcoin, the more we promote Bitcoin the more people because curious about it and if we start to adopt Bitcoin a lot of people will be interested in using Bitcoin as well. If that happened they will have their own research about it, if they have a bad perception of Bitcoin it might change in the long run if they started using Bitcoin.

1251  Other / Meta / Re: Making new messages more obvious (SMF patch) on: April 11, 2023, 04:20:01 PM
Sounds like a nice addition, is there to make that "white dot" Blinking like this?

In the sense that the color changes from white to red and white, and this will be easier to attract the attention of the eye.

The update was great I think, it was simple and fit the theme of the forum, but it doesn't do a lot if you want to notice messages. So far messages weren't really an issue, the [1] wasn't that bad.

This red one for sure will be a lot more noticeable compared to the new one, but maybe red is a bit too much on the forum's theme, the blinking will be perfect if added. I guess a blinking white dot is great.

1252  Other / Meta / Re: How to add your Bitcointalk profile to your homescreen on: April 11, 2023, 03:39:05 AM
~

It's a common trick I think, however, it's not necessary to do this because if someone accesses your phone like your friends they might able to go through your account easily. I mean it's the same thing if you save your password on your phone, tabs are already saved on your browsers if you don't close them so you can easily access bitcoin talk within a few touches.

I mean sure might be helpful to some members who use the forum on mobile a lot.

1253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't invest money you can't afford to lose out of greed. on: April 11, 2023, 02:40:09 AM
I've noticed that a lot of people are entering the cryptocurrency sector to invest in one or two projects because they've heard that bull run is on away coming and that have  many  people have plans to invest a sizable sum of money in some way to ensure they don't miss the opportunities.

I want to use this opportunity to warn newbies not to be deceived by the idea of becoming wealthy quickly by investing a sizable sum of money that they cannot afford to lose in the cryptocurrency industry. They should be aware that no any crypto advisor will advise anyone to invest their entire life savings in any project that it will do 10x, since nobody can predict the future of crypto industry, and with that  anyone who claim so, is a lier.

In fact, I would advise newbies to stay away from altcoins and only invest in Bitcoin in order to be on the safe side of the game, as there will be many shitcoins that will not recover after this bear market.

As a beginner, don't be overly eager to invest in any project without conducting your own thorough research.

Especially on Bullrun a lot of newbies would literally buy tokens out of nowhere thinking that they could easily earn a big amount of profit on that token since its Bull run they probably earn a profit, there are also some lucky people who get rich on that method but it does mean it's gonna happened to everyone as well, after that, in the long run, they lose a lot on their investment when they still holding their token so always take profit. It's a common mistake because we all sometimes become greedy.

But yes I would always invest especially in Bitcoin, a big percentage of your portfolio should always be Bitcoin. Not necessarily only bitcoin you could gamble a little bit on other altcoins in the market may be on the top altcoins that have a lot of potentials, I mean yes its altcoin but its high-risk high reward and it doesn't really matter since you only invest what you afford to lose at that token.
1254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: April 10, 2023, 06:58:36 PM
as we know today btc is in the range of 28000, and i was very lucky to be able to buy btc when the price was still low, and now if i sell it i have a profit but if i sell it now i'm afraid i won't be able to
buying from the bottom again,, and I'm currently struggling to hold btc so I don't sell it,

I want to ask if you also  keep holding btc?

and the reason I hold btc is because I believe the price of btc in 2024 will be high and there will be no more btc prices like now.

To be fair, yes you could now earn a profit when you sell your Bitcoin at this point around 28k if you buy from the low it's already a good profit depending on how much you invested. But there are probably a lot more opportunities to sell your bitcoin, remember that bitcoin halving is next year, and the all-time high was still so far from today's price.

I believed in Bitcoin and I'm still holding my Bitcoin even though I sell a lot of it on the last bull run, I bought and accumulate when the market price drops down, and I would continue to hold it until the Bullrun maybe when the all-time high is reach or maybe even more around 100k. I mean it's easy to hold in my opinion you just need to have a liquidated fund or fiat funds that you could spend, You wouldn't really sell your Bitcoin when you don't really need money. Most members would probably suggest not to sell your Bitcoin because it's still early and you still have time to accumulate more Bitcoin.

1255  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Suggestion to improve privacy on Bitcointalk on: April 10, 2023, 06:16:06 PM
I was browsing the forum yesterday when I found this post, it struck me because he went to the extreme to check the OP’s signature address on the blockchain. I wonder what others with malicious intent could do with that information.

I think it will be good if campaign managers change the application format to keep users payout addresses private so there is no link between forum usernames and addresses. I know the public spreadsheets help expose alt accounts and bounty cheaters, and for this reason some members may prefer the system stay the same but I believe making the change. I’ve seen only one campaign already doing this, what do you guys think? Should spreadsheets and payout addresses be kept private?

I mean yeah, but for years most of the Bitcoin addresses were public on signature campaigns and it also helps to catch multi accounts on the signature campaign, Yes if you don't want to put your Bitcoin address on the public that depends on you, I mean most of it was recorded on the blockchain, you could maybe ask the campaign manager about that I think it wouldn't be an issue because privacy was a thing here.

I've joined Royse777 signature campaign and here doing something new on the spreadsheet if that's what you concern about, only participants would be able to view the spreadsheet anymore. I guess it was just a matter of convenience since managers want to publicize the spreadsheet so that all participants could see it also they could manage the payment easily if they put all of that addresses. Bitcoin addresses can be public because it's not really a big deal I suppose I mean for the past years it's normal, but sure If you want extra privacy.
1256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is your ideal cryptocurrency? Why? on: April 10, 2023, 05:13:19 PM
We all know about cryptocurrencies and how they work. Everyone has their favorite crypto like I preferred bitcoin because there are lots of benefits of bitcoin, immediate settlement, greater liquidity, international transactions, security and direct transfer.

What you think about other cryptocurrencies?

I mean we are all Bitcoin believers, all of us here like Bitcoin for sure I mean it's even on our forums name, For me, bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency when it comes to investment compared to other cryptocurrencies bitcoin has the highest chance to increase its market price just because of its structure and when we implied supply and demand. Similar to what happened to early investors when the bitcoin price in the market skyrocket they all become rich at this point. So it's an easy rule to invest a high percentage of your portfolio in bitcoin.

There are thousands of cryptocurrency out there are most of it doesn't really have a use or value. I think cryptocurrencies at this point are pretty useless unless they have their own use, most of the top cryptocurrencies have their use, maybe solve a problem, or could also be a network. So I think it's a genius tech that we could use except for those cryptocurrencies that were just hype.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if they tried it on: April 10, 2023, 04:31:17 PM
What if the governments across the world attempted to seize all of your crypto assets like the US seized all gold from their citizens in the 1900s. Now I'm seeing articles talking about how the US government is trying to be able claim private property.

I think that ultimately this would be very challenging for any government to successfully accomplish. This would cause a revolutionary period again in our world I imagine....

I'm not familiar with the laws of the other countries but here in my country when a government claims a property we have something called the power of eminent domain where the government can claim property for public use but when they do that the owner will be rewarded of compensation for the property in a fair price.

So the government cannot easily seize something that they don't own at this point, even claiming private property here would take a lot of process and compensation or payment, I cannot imagine the government going for crypto at this point because obviously there will be a lot of disagreement and people would not easily follow to what the government wanted.

Orihinal na paksa: Governs' oppression of bitcoiners may turn against them
