1241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are We Going To See $30,000 Price Before the End of This week on: April 01, 2023, 06:43:16 AM
Forget about 30,000 this month, there have been a lot of sec issues lately that will keep the price below 30,000 for a long time but as things, goes on we may be able to cross that price bench but for now,3 we have to learn to keep things on a basic level.
This is not so bad, people need to learn to embrace the downward movements just as they appreciate the upward movements, a downward movement is the opportunity to buy coins for a huge discount, once you think on the dips and the bear markets in this way instead of fearing them you will begin to look forward for them, because as smart investors know any profits you have the potential to make are made when you buy the asset and not when you sell it.

It's just that everyone got excited with the huge bull run that we are seen since the start of the year and we all wanted to see $30k at least this year. And yet is is achievable as early as March so it's ok to at least hope that $30k could be breach.

But in any case that it is not, then we don't have nothing to complain about it, $28k is already big as last November we just hit $15,500 and that is the lowest low for last year or this bear market. Still good though to accumulate at this price levels, who knows in the next bull run, it's going to be big and we are going to see 6 digits the most.
1242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot Tournaments - Ever Heard of it? on: April 01, 2023, 06:20:44 AM
Yes, heard of it before, but the slot tournaments are local in our casinos.

And it's like you can go enter and casino will choose you to enter the tournament itself. And everyone will be at all equal, in beginning, let's say given you $100 initially and see how you can get it or win big within certain time. So there is a limit and then it's process of elimination, getting the top 10 and then top 5 and you guys have to fight it out until there is just one man or woman standing.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: April 01, 2023, 03:07:50 AM
hopefully, the long wait ends this year.

Impossible. Regardless if Inoue will win or lose against Fulton, Casimero doesn't have enough eligibility to be a worthy opponent for Inoue. Remember that Casimero is just ranked 8th and even though he will win here against Nghitumbwa, I doubt he will be improved his ranking to the Top 3 or even the Top 5.

There are lots of strong boxers in the top ranking of the WBO Super Bantamweight and Casimero didn't even have a chance yet to face one of those.

If we are expecting a Casimero vs Inoue clash this year, the chances are slim. Maybe next year, that will be possible, if Casimero will be able to secure a fight at least 2 times a year, especially at the top ranks.

Maybe next year if Casimero will have numbers of good fight and be qualified to face a high-ranking opponent that will give him the key to challenge the champ.

We still have a lot of months to go, maybe after this fight and he win it a big fashion like highlight knockout then they could probably target another fight in December with a rank fighter already, maybe top 5 at least.

For now, we can't really tell if he will be able to have that opportunity better to keep aiming
for more to win and try everything to push his way up.

Yes, he is back into the drawing board again after moving up in weight here. So he has a lot of things to accomplished now and this could be another step for him to have his name in the mix for the bantamweight belt.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 07:09:09 PM
I agree with you. He could do so much good with that much money, especially in a poor country.
Some of the money was probably his. It's also possible the casino has agreed to return some of his losses if he promotes them. Maybe he really lost only 50% and the rest was a rakeback deal? We won't know because losing a million produces better headlines than losing 500k Wink

We cannot blame this gambling activity. For Neymar, the problems of social life in his country are not his responsibility at all. It is true that almost 1 million euros is a lot and can help 9000 people with 100 euros per person. But, I'm sure for Neymar it's not entirely his responsibility. Because he wasn't the only one who lost hundreds of thousands of euros in an hour while gambling. let me ask one question, Do we have to blame other gamblers who lost more than 1 million euros for not thinking about donating to the poor in their country?

I agree, it's not one's responsibility on how he will go with his one money, I mean if he can afford to play and lose that big one, then it's not our call for him to stop or whatever advise we can give to him.

And for those gamblers who are watching, you don't need to follow Neymar or anyone, still up to you to decide if you want that kind of gambling and wasting your money. And for sure Neymar deserves the money he is getting so he has every right to where he is going to spend it, whether in gambling or not.
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 31, 2023, 06:52:53 PM
How about the games tomorrow?

It's only 2 games but 1 of them is a must see battle, it's between the Bucks and the Celtics. Holiday just had a huge game against the Pacers with 51 points, (not sure if this is his career though). I'm still not decided as to who to beat on this game.

On the other game, it's the Nuggets vs the Pelicans, I might go with the Nuggets here at handicap.

-5.5 @ 1.82 not bad for the handicap if Nuggets will play solid, but I think it can be covered unless Denver will rest their core starters or they will play soft and let NOP snatch the game from them,.

Oh well, I might follow you, but let me check it during a live game before placing my bet,
chances of resting players might happen here.

It was a trapped mate, however, I did bet early and before the game starts, I check the odds and there was a sudden shift as it become as low as 0-5 to 1.5 for the Nuggets and I was surprised by the moved.

And then I watch the game it was announcement that Jokic is not going to play.

But I'm still thinking that they can still cover the spread, but in the first quarter alone, the Nuggets shoot poorly and then I know that my bet is lost already.

Yeah, good to see some bitcoin guy completely trolling those Central Banks, perhaps they are just sending the message to whatever means and hopefully this bankers are not going to take it very seriously though as if there is a war between us vs them.

And I commend that people behind, yeah they got balls to do it and hopefully they won't be caught and who knows, they could be charged by anything the authorities can think of.

1248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is improving I guess? on: March 30, 2023, 12:39:25 PM
We are more likely to experience better end of the year, as of last two weeks Bitcoin was $23,000 but I can see some impressive changes hopefully the ends or mid of the year will make significant changes in price. Though am not excited much because  even if it pumps I might not enjoy the fat price, I bought when the price is high but now you will pity my wallet. Anyway we're sure of better 2023.

Still early to tell, but if we are going to compare it with last year, yes, I would say that we start this year at the right side of the bed, January alone gives us that huge 40% increased. And this March might end in another green candle as the bulls might be going after $29k-$30k.

What do you mean? it's not going to be pity when the price goes on a massive run next year, and for sure you will make a great profits out of it. So better continue to save and invest whatever and how much you can and be a long term investors, or at least wait till after the block halving.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing against 2024 on: March 30, 2023, 12:16:36 PM
As 2023 is going to be a tremendous year, and the elite are working towards the new world order whereby new digital currency will be introduced. If btc happens not to be part of that agenda, so will investing into btc against 2024 a wise decision?

Well for one, we could de-couple with this so called new world order, not sure what you mean by it, but bitcoin carves it's own path, as it is decentralized and no authority controls it. And second, next year will be big for bitcoin as we will be having bitcoin halving, only happening every 4 years but it's the catalyst of a massive bull run. And with that, for me, just continue to invest on bitcoin this year or the next and don't listen to those new world order or something. If you talk about CBCD, nah, it's not crypto per definition. Well if you want to be track down by government, but all means used it, but it's not a investment platform like bitcoin or any other crypto.

John Riel Casimero promoter Masayuki Ito looks like he loves doing the fights in the Philippines.
Quote
Speaking with reporters this past weekend alongside the Filipino, Treasure Boxing Promotion chief and former boxer Masayuki Ito noted that all of their future plans regarding holding events in the Philippines are based on how much love Filipino fans will show to Casimero once he fights this May.
https://www.ibtimes.com/john-riel-casimeros-promoter-hopeful-more-philippines-based-events-moving-forward-3680954
This is good news for Filipino fans as we can literally watch him live if we want to. About the support that was being asked by his promoter, I don't doubt the Filipinos who do love the sport. I mean, our government should've been funding this industry more because we are really good at it instead of wasting money on sports that don't fit our heights.

Casimero will surely give out all his best attacks here and will try a knockout as fast as possible giving the fans something to cheer on again before the title fight of Nonito Donaire this Summer of 2023 against Alexandro Santiago. Maybe we will have another title holder before this year ends.

I'm excited about this news! It's been a while since Casimero had a fight held in the Philippines. Fans would surely love to see him fight in his home country, especially since this isn't really a big fight. The Philippines would be a great venue for it. Casimero will definitely be more inspired fighting in front of his kababayans. Although this isn't a championship fight, who knows? Maybe the next championship fight will be held here in the Philippines.

It's been confirmed already that this fight is going to be held in the Philippines, Okada is the venue. Not sure though how much is the tickets, but for sure, Casimero fans love to see in happening in his home soil.

Nonito Donaire will have a good chance to become a world champion again, so that is already a plus for Philippines.

Although it will be better to have another one in the likes of Casimero but it might take a while before he can get his chance.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 29, 2023, 08:35:22 PM
there will be many games and I still don't know which game I can bet on, I'm still thinking about

Indiana Pacers - Milwaukee Bucks

the Pacers come to this game with 33 wins and 43 losses and in the last 10 games they had 6 losses and only won in just 4 games, they also have 3 consecutive losses, while their opponent who is much better than them in terms of performance comes to this game with 54 wins and 21 losses, and in the last 10 games they managed to get 7 wins and 3 losses, in my opinion the Bucks have a good chance of winning this game, the odd for them to win is very low, something like @1.17 , I'm thinking of putting it on my parlay

I want to add it to my soccer parlay of the week, I tried to see other games but I saw that even in the games where they are underperforming teams, the game is very balanced which with odds of @1.57 vs risk of ruining my whole parlay of games of the week it doesn't make much sense for me to take such a risk, anyway, maybe I'll wait to see the first minutes of the game to see the rhythm and if the odd goes up so I can bet on Bucks and more on other soccer games that I already have on my list and that are only waiting for me to bet on them

If you are not adding a spread then it might win. Because there's a chance they will keep on benching Giannis Antetokounmpo as much as they can to keep him safe when the playoff comes. The spreads will be the only crucial part here but I do believe they can win games just using their bench because they have proven it a lot of times already. Brook Lopez with Bobby Portis is so good on the defensive end that it will be difficult for any team to score in the painted area.
So IMO, if Giannis could just spare some restricted minutes it might end up in a blowout, without him against the Pacers, they will win, I am just not sure about how much.

Thanks, I have the same observation and it seems the line for the Bucks is a trap as they are listed -12.5 initial spread for this game. Sure, Haliburton is not going to play, but it is reported that Holiday too is out and maybe Giannis could be in restricted minutes.

So lot of scenario that might not favor us gamblers, so either we skip this game, just do live betting to see who is going to play or not.

Of course Bucks needs to win this one to stay on top, but if they can do it with Giannis sitting then it's already a plus for the big guy as he can take a rest.
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Laszlo Hanyecz see it as 10,000 BTC or as $41? on: March 29, 2023, 08:15:39 PM
Of course he saw it a worth $41, because he wanted to test if bitcoin can be used as a payment scheme, which is what Satoshi design it initially. Although in the years to come, it become an asset that we trade and then the values goes off the roof.

And same thing right now when we used bitcoin to buy or at least used it to purchase something, whether p2p or some 3rd party in between.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 29, 2023, 07:56:47 PM
Well, my picks are 0-2 so far. That doesn’t bode well for the Golden State Warriors. That game is going on now on TNT. I think most basketball fans are already looking towards tomorrow though. Kevin Durant making his home debt for the Suns against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Should be a great one as long as there aren’t any incidents in the layup line this time.
1-3 for me.
I didn't expect that from the Boston Celtics to be defeated by the Washington Wizards. No Kuzma, No Bradley Beal, that says what the result should and yet they were blown out by them. They were surprised by the performance of Kristaps Porzingis and Deni Avdija, I mean I was shocked too.  Grin

Yeah, worst lost for me, they are the first game last night and so I have them with a parlay. The worst part is that I didn't even beat them on handicap, I just have them a ML just to start a good parlay on my end, with the Hawks ML and Toronto handicap. But it was destroyed with that Celtics lost.

Don't understand whey they keep on having Smart guard KP early, and Kristaps take advantage of it, either in the 3 point like or posting Smart in the middle, to shoot and get a foul.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 28, 2023, 07:51:56 PM
Finally, a win for Dallas Mavericks.
I like what Coach Jason Kidd did there, use McGee if you need some height, he is in their roster for a reason so better use him. Don't just stick with Powell especially if they are up against a team whose strength is using the paint. Without Haliburton and Hield, the Pacers will surely attack the rim to get points.
Credits to Jaden Hardy too for helping out the Mavs on the offensive end.

Well, not too late for them to be included in the play-in picture. However, Luka has showed his frustrations and it could drag the team chemistry down. Everyone though Kyrie and Luka works perfectly fine, but it seems like it didn't. Though it's still early to tell and they just played like 10 games (If I'm not mistaken) together. The Mavs have a good depth though.

Oh well, that's what we thought in the beginning, that there could be chemistry between the two. But we don't know who the problem is though because after acquiring Kyrie, it seems that their chemistry has been affected. Perhaps Kidd wanted to try something new, (not to late), to have McGee to take advantage of the opponent's small lineup.

Mavs is still in the 11th spot though, they need to win all their remaining games to be in the play-in at least.

We don't really know what's up with the Mavs because ever since they acquired Kyrie, they began to crumble and they've been having an opposite outcome, so different from what the management has expected them to be. Instead of getting a better performance, they are now down to 11th seed which is not good because they are now chasing to at least participate in the play-in compared before that they are in the upper bracket. Well, let's just hope that coach Kidd was just trying something because it's hard to believe that they are already doing their best.

I'm thinking that maybe, Jason Kidd's job as coach is also on the line right now. I mean they made this trade with Kyrie and thinks that it will be better for the team, but it turns out to be the opposite as they used to be on the top bracket before the acquisition. And what made it worst is that Luka got injured and then the technical fouls on his is piling up as well. So he is really frustrated with what is going on and they didn't expect that they will go down and slide as far as 11th place and now trying to salvage their season just to be in the play-in.
1255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price is looking positive green on: March 28, 2023, 10:41:58 AM
Back over months is reddish, I could hardly think about bitcoin as anything good soon but it seem like there will be positive green movement this mid of the year coming. Bitcoin can never be overrated sometimes it will destroys your feelings, sometimes it will bring excited, dudes, is been a while we reap the juicy part of bitcoin. 3 days now is looking greenish with improvement I hope the pump starts soon enough, this green looks real positive

All of a sudden the price has start to fall, I think this has to do with the lawsuit against Binance and CZ, it'll trending on crypto twitter and this time around I think they got enough evidence to take Binance down or hit the exchange with lots of regulations. This though won't be the end of the market since it isn't the first time we'll be experiencing this.

Yes, don't know why the sudden correction in the last 4-6 hours, but it's goes down to $26,700 very quickly, -4.5%, doesn't look good because we are at the end of the month and we want to end it with a green candle. Last couple of days though, it's very volatile, but this is the second time that the market breaks the $26k. Maybe the pressure is that high for the bulls to buy and so we wont on the overbought zone and with that a correction is imminent.

The month of march was looking bullish then all of a sudden the market starts getting hits with lots of negative activities. I'm still wondering how the collapse of the banks became bearish for Bitcoin or is it all because the market is in negativity overall so no news is moving the market positively again.

Yes, when we heard news of the banking crisis, the price suddenly shoot up to as high as $28,500. But let's see, we will have to wait for the next 24 hours, at least by that time, we will see the full picture whether we are going to make a retracement or go back to at least $27k.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything is cyclical and repetitive. Bitcoin is no exception on: March 28, 2023, 10:00:23 AM
Investing or any industry, if you ignore the historical factor, it means you leave out the data about the market. The market principle is always iterative because human psychology is also iterative, so if you take away the lessons that the market has taught you in the past, you cannot predict the future market well 👌

=> If you study a field thoroughly from basic to advanced things like why it appeared, by whom and how, .... Then there will come a time when you will be able to predict the future. its. And that is also the reason why great people have the ability to predict the future like Tesla, Leonardo da Vinci, ... Why don't we apply that in investing in general and investing in virtual currencies in particular?

It's because bitcoin has 4 year cycle, or at there is what we call bitcoin halving happening every 4 years. So that alone is also cyclical, no matter what happens, the block halving is going to occur as it is written by Satoshi.

So that is the only thing that we can predict, so as far as we know, the price will go on a massive bull run but we don't know what will be the highest peak or the all time high. Predicting it is going to be very difficult, we have seen in the past cycles about some modelling that predicted  bitcoin will be $100k or 6 digits in the last bull run but it didn't happen as we the highest we achieved is $69k.

1258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price guess for March on: March 25, 2023, 11:54:22 AM
It has been more than a week that the price has been at the $28k level, hopefully tomorrow or at the end of this month the price will reach $30k soon, if the price can touch $30k then it is certain that it will make many people panic buy because they hope the price will continue to rise, and this is indeed a fact which had often happened before.
There is currently a lot of resistance at $28k and the price seems to be settling in this area at the moment. Either way, I also hope that the current limit will be broken and that we'll get to $30k this month. That would certainly be a positive signal. However, let's not forget that the price has been going up for the past few days and for a long time it looked like the price wouldn't go above $25k. So even if we don't hit $30k this month, we should be happy with the current price of $28k.  Wink

Yes, it's the resistance level, similar to when was $26k was the biggest barrier, we have like 3-4 times to attempt to break that price. But once we got to it, smooth sailing as we go as high as $28k and almost touching $29k.

So that might be the case again at $28k, it's the biggest resistance and it might take as much attempt as $26k.

Nevertheless, there is no resistance that is too big for bitcoin to break. For March, I say $27k will be the right price.
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: 23 March 2023: SEC issues official warning to crypto investors on: March 25, 2023, 10:37:10 AM
What I see is that the SEC is increasingly persecuting us from all sides and they have no intention of hiding their intentions. They are pinching us and trying to control us, nothing more, nothing less. Regulation is inevitable, but I don't pay much attention to this rubbish news. There are ways to bypass the government if it wants to collect taxes and control us more.

This is not new though, I mean since 2017, since the bubble that we have going to $20k, per pop, they started to show their aggressiveness towards crypto, not bitcoin per se, but stable coins and other altcoins for that matter. True, regulation is imminent, but now we should know that, but it's not a threat to bitcoin. Maybe some other projects that could be a treat to them. They even take a crusade against privacy coins already and not might be looking at those stable coins and others. Tether used to be the target since 2018, but maybe they know it's hard to bring them down.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 25, 2023, 10:21:44 AM

Yeah, with few remaining games every win counts in each team who are aiming to move on to the next round.

Lakers still have that chance either to move into playoff or have a chance into another play-inn and take some chances to move forward.

I would like to see them winning while LeBron is still at rest. The chemistries are very important, as they needed each other's help and not
just to rely on stars like LeBron and Davis.

Right now the Los Angeles Lakers are doing really fine, getting those possible wins but surely because of some injuries their momentum has really been affected by it, like their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 4, this should be a win for the Lakers because Lebron James and D'Angelo Russell are both injured that day and Austin Reaves just played 21 mins that game he doesn't showcase more, In the New Tork Knicks games even though they have D'Angelo Russell and playing Austin Reaves have played 25 mins but have gained 13 points, I think the Lakers needs their full force on the court,

If they can play as a whole, the winning chance is far better than how they are bringing the outcome of each game that they are playing.

I can say that with both LeBron, D'Lo and Davis inside together with Reaves and Hachimura or anyone who will be willing to
adjust and play the game with a high level of basketball IQ.

Role player who can adjust to the type of LeBron game playing style, they've got this and they still be playing for the next round.

Lakers with a good win tonight, and with that, they bolted out to 8 spot now (but still tie with the Wolves though). But still they have taken control of their destination with a win against the OKC.

AD with a monster game with 37 points, and then Dennis the Menace playing good basketball at the start of the 4th quarter with big 21 points.

Reaves just having a regular game with 11 points.

I thought they're gonna lose it as they had a very bad 3rd quarter and the momentum suddenly shift. Good thing they played good defense and become more efficient in the 4th quarter. IMO, the Lakers has a good depth, their bench can score as much as the starters. Walker who have been limited with minutes after the trade, scored 20 pts and an efficient fg. If Darvin Ham could execute a good rotation and the Lakers can improve their free throws, they'd be unstoppable in the playoffs.

Yeah, when their lead was cut, I thought that they are done. But Dennis Schröder started to take matters in his own hand. And it was said that he also had a good game against OKC the last time. Him and AD had connection in the final quarter that made them take that very important win. Lonnie shooting high percentage was also one of the factors.

Joel Embiid was unstoppable against the Warriors, but it was too much on him, when he go to the bench, the Warriors will go on a run. And I guess it's simply for them, let the big guy score and stop everyone. Maxey and Harris are the only 2 players for the Sixers to score in double digits. While the Warriors has a balance attack with 5 players.
