Do want.
don't trust anyone with a private code, but a reference card would be neat. Any ideas on price (ballpark, under $20?)

around 4 million difficulty with no further price increase is my cutoff point.
But I'll continue to mine through the winter even if we surpass that since I need the heat. Next summer I will shut down.

eh, I think a market cap somewhere between 100 billion to 1 trillion is possible. Not holding my breath of course.
It would mean the bitcoin economy was somewhere between morocco and south korea yearly GDP. (of course that's not how calculations of GDP and market caps work, but it's fun to be lazy)

I think bitcoins represent a major turning point in economic development. If bitcoin fails it will be because humans are worthless, not because bitcoins are.

I see. How do you rescan in windows? would redownloading the blockchain do it?

hope this comes back! thanks for the work warpi!

this is actually a serious issue if default txn fee is still 0. many people will wind up sending without realizing.
|
|
|
Uhm do your bitcoin client have ALL the blocks?
yes
|
|
|
sent a 1BTC txn between wallets with no txn fee two weeks ago, still not confirmed. What should I do?
the txn shows up in block explorer. So It's a matter of no miners accepting it.

mentioned on modeled behavior and marginal revolution, didn't do me much good because even though I read those blogs I somehow missed it.

sorry but bitcoins have a use. Because of bitcoins I have a capability I did not have before. I can easily send money to someone in a random location on earth with NO logistics troubles other than getting their address. If you don't think that this marks a major turning point you are simply small minded.
Bitcoin is still an infant, there are big things to come.

I would be more inclined to trust entities incorporated in a pro free market sovereign such as singapore, hong kong, or lichtenstein.

if you can't afford a security guy you can't afford to open for business.

am I reading this right? you plan to offer margin trading, will this include short selling?
if so expect your traffic numbers to explode. a market where people can actually *gasp* take either side of a bet will be much more popular than the toy exchange mtgox was.
