1241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think Bitcoin Mining Profitable in 2018? on: December 27, 2017, 03:27:52 PM
Big oil loves miners and so does hardware manufactures because they are locked into CPU wars all
thanks to BTC and the design and new kids on the block like IOTA will lessen the work load over time.

Useful work is fine by me but reeving the engine without putting the car into gear is child's play
but if you want to gamble $15,000 on mining rig just to make $7 a day then don't let me stop you
because its the pool owners that are robing both sides any way
1242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moving bitcoin before the new fork on: December 27, 2017, 03:20:03 PM
You have all rights to move your bitcoins. Of course you can move your bitcoin anytime anywhere. There's no limit for bitcoins.  About the fork it will not stay forever we all are ready to face it. It will end one day but remember if you do not move your bitcoin from the wallet, you can get free Bitcoin gold coin. So I think wise people are not cashing out bitcoins. They are buying more to gather more bitcoins so when fork happens they will be able to gather more free Swegit2 Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin gold coin was based on a snapshot two months ago and you can still get the coins even if you have since sold all your BTC coins
based on your balance on the day of the fork so i would expect that the revised Segwit2x fork taking place tomorrow to be just the same.

"Wise" people will not put up with slow speeds and mega high transactions fees regardless of the perks they receive along the
way and trust with the greedy miners has been broken so i suspect a lot of people will start voting with there feet myself.

1243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why no one is ready to copy clam coin concept but simply copying bitcoincash on: December 27, 2017, 03:11:09 PM
Tell me more about Clames because the current monolithic block-chain as it is stored on 20,000 nodes
simply does not scale and it needs breaking down into a tree structure

Transactions per second
BTC = 7
ETH = 15
IOTA =100 (Tangle)
VISA =25,000 (Semi centralized, 500 time less CPU used as BTC)

The writing is on the wall and in any-case Lightning with it's hubs
becomes Semi centralized but lets the bankers in by the back door
so i am looking for something that is radically new that will scale

Segwit2x fork might help for now and spread some of the load but
still the design is wrong

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another dip before new year? on: December 27, 2017, 02:56:56 PM
ETH is a much safer option because the miners earn "Gas" by hosting services they call contracts
instead of just revving the car engine without putting the car in gear and calling it PoW

I know this would mean missing out on the Segwit fork but i guess you are a bit late to get
the bonus payment but we are really talking about silly money now in transactions costs
and you should fear being "Locked-in" by the greedy miners

The ICO i wanted to get involved with got sold out in a mere 22 seconds so little
boys like me and you are only being left with the bones the bankers throw us from
time to time anyway
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: December 27, 2017, 02:48:24 PM
Sell your tulips to buy a house could be a better move

In 1634 the price of just one flower was enough to buy a house and some tulips
were changing hands up to ten times a day at the local bar and at the time it
was being called an "Investment" but we know now that it was the drunk leading
the drunk at gambling on finding a bigger fool than they were.

The bankers will be only too happy to re-loan you money at interest to buy
your house back, such nice people they are but still its better than trading in
blue gold because drinking water will soon be at a premium thanks to fracking
chemicals leaking into the water table.
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Segwit2x fork in 24 hours so get your BTC loyalty bonus on: December 27, 2017, 02:38:41 PM
Move your BTC coins to the public block-chain to ensure you don't miss out on this bonus and don't trust the brokers
because given half a chance they will gobble up your bonus BTC

According to a press release on cryptocoinnews(ccn)Last week the Segwit2x team indicated in that they were planning to move forward with their proposed hard fork in the coming weeks. Following this, the Segwit 2x lead developer Jaap Terlouw has confirmed on the project’s website that the team will finally execute the fork on December 28th.

Segwit 2x hard fork was Originally scheduled for November, the development team cancelled the fork amidst controversy and strong division in the community. In an official statement, the team recognized that they had “not built sufficient consensus for a clean blocksize upgrade at this time,” foregoing the fork in an effort to “[keep] the community together.”

I know transaction fees are high but they could go a lot higher so allow plenty of time to move your BTC to a private wallet
or you could find yourself out of luck.

Quote
COMMISSION AND TRANSACTION SPEED WITHIN THE BITCOIN NETWORK HAS REACHED EXTRAORDINARY VALUES,” TERLOUW BELIEVES THAT “IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO USE IT AS A MEANS OF PAYMENT.

You can find plenty of recommendations both here and on Youtube about what free wallets to use to store your coins
in and I recommend Jaxx on a android device myself but install the app on a spare MicroSD card that you can remove
from the device when you are not using it because the pass phrase is vulnerable and is stored encrypted in the file system.

Happy new year, have a drink from Segwit

1247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Math Question? 21000000 bitcoins vs 2,000,000,000 users on: December 27, 2017, 02:16:07 PM
1 person may be willing to invest $1 million and pay $100,000 for each coin but another person may be willing to invest $1 and pay no more than $100 per coin.
obviously these two create different demand.

Do you "invest" in playing slot machine too or scratch cards ?
Lets call a spade a spade, this is gambling but paying $40 per
transaction is just chunking money away so I cannot wait to
gamble on Segwit2x but I think the BTC casino might be planning
a "Lock-in" so I am slowly moving towards the exit doors myself.
1248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees problem on: December 27, 2017, 02:08:42 PM
what do you mean about bitcoin transaction fee? this seems to have been a long story, I myself have not been able to find a solution to this problem. for now, I alone can only surrender to this state.

I think the bakers have taken over and the writing is on the wall to get out
because once again BTC is not living up to what it said on the box of having
"Virtual free transactions costs" and i will not be blackmailed by miners or
bankers.

No point having a car if the road does not work so I will be using Segwit2x to
move money because i cannot afford any fees over $1.00 never mind paying
$40 for a slow transaction speed.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is my bitcoin address constantly changing? on: December 27, 2017, 02:03:36 PM
We should have more control over changes to public addresses and i bet lots of money goes missing because of this

if i want to change my email address every day for "Security" then that's my decision and maybe i want to scan the block chain
myself for all my spending and i have better things to do than to type in 50 transaction ID's
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High fees are separating the wheat from the chaff on: December 27, 2017, 12:26:37 PM
"High fees are separating the wheat from the chaff"

Indeed they are and so is the mega slow transaction times but some people
will never learn when to hold em and when to fold them because greed prevents
them from learning this lesson.

Segwit2x will fork tomorrow and the developers will try to address these issues
so good bye IBM and hello Sir Alan Sugar (king chav)
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit 2x split tomorrow?? on: December 27, 2017, 11:55:01 AM
Segwit2x Is Back-Bitcoin fork scheduled for 28th December 2017

Segwit 2x hard fork was Originally scheduled for November, the development team cancelled the fork amidst controversy and strong division in the community. In an official statement, the team recognized that they had “not built sufficient consensus for a clean blocksize upgrade at this time,” foregoing the fork in an effort to “[keep] the community together.”

Read More: https://bitzamp.com/3645-2/

The community has resulted in transaction fees going from $0.05 at the start of the year to $30-50 today
and the consensus is that we don't need to stand for it and these fees started to rise and rise fast as soon
as the Segwit team threw in the towel.

Bankers have taken over here and Lightning with it's term they call "Hubs" is just another name for a "Bank"
See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g

Playing with the block-size or timing is just window dressing and what they need to add to the code is this line

Public static Money MaxFees=$1.50 in the Segwit2x fork
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit 2x split tomorrow?? on: December 27, 2017, 11:40:15 AM

This is crypto, everything is open source and community, but such actions will NEVER be well seen and is an insult to the developers of the first project, the SegWit2x proposal https://segwit2x.github.io

Can we talk about these crypto developers please because they are straight out from academia and have made a right
fucking mess so please step in to the ring if your a programmer and lets go toe to toe.

I will start with the 200gb data structure (Linked list of blocks) that does not scale or it would do a lot more than
7 transactions a second before moving on to this CPU war that has been created to waste energy and make big
oil more money and to sell hardware because PoW= rev car engine, keep car out of gear
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit 2x split tomorrow?? on: December 27, 2017, 11:01:21 AM
Yes all good news but the miners of BTC are going ape because they know the jig is up
for silly priced transactions fees.

I will mine Segwit once i learn how to do it for free because I don't like the
blackmail we have been getting from the miners and will send them a two
finger message

1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone interested in joining a Cryptocurrency mastermind group? Discord channel? on: December 27, 2017, 02:07:37 AM
You mean technical or trading discussion?

Hello fellow WH and keep up the good work, we are many and yes it's all read by bots as i am sure you know
by now
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone interested in joining a Cryptocurrency mastermind group? Discord channel? on: December 27, 2017, 02:04:21 AM
Yes please PM me if it's not about how to play slot machines because i am tired to death with that.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x fork on dec 28th on: December 27, 2017, 02:00:50 AM
What number attempt is this?  Just giving bitcoin a bad name  Undecided

Nope it has a bad name because of high fees and slow speeds so lets not blame the competition
and my other coins are doing just fine, they work cheap to send and fast

Tomorrow I predict technical problems on the network, must be North Korea or Putin that did it
but don't worry about the guys near the doors with dark glasses because they are here for your
own protection
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doubt about btc forks on: December 27, 2017, 01:49:34 AM
I currently store my BTC on Coinbase.

I did just get a Ledger Nano S. Is it recommended for me to move the Bitcoin to the Ledger? Which one is more guaranteed to get the Segwit2x fork? ty guys

So long as you own the private key on the 28th you can sort out getting B2X Later and because you have an Nano then I will assume that you have quite a
lot of BTC so take ownership of your own money and get them out and on to your device ASAP before the BTC network starts to lock up.

See youtube vids on how to do what and good luck because we might all be swimming soon if something is
not sorted out fast on the fees.

No point having a car if the roads don't work
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Math Question? 21000000 bitcoins vs 2,000,000,000 users on: December 27, 2017, 01:41:35 AM
oh dear too few coins to go around and BTC is falling over under the load of a mere
seven transactions a second so lets hope SegwitX2 can reduce the burden because the
BTC miners look like they plan a "Lock-in" and the fees will hit $100 per transaction
long before BTC could ever reach $25,000

Did I hear someone from the back shouting "Lightning Network"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g
Good job I understand that type of stuff but do you !
1259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So what will it be? on: December 27, 2017, 01:33:11 AM
With silly price transactions fees I see Segwit more as a savior but if you want to pay $100 per transaction and
wait hours for it to complete then hats off to you because you must be richer than I can dream about being

Hey Lord or Sir or what ever i should call you here is a video for you
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHFrf5ci_g
Enjoy the "Lightning network"
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Doubt about btc forks on: December 27, 2017, 01:23:00 AM
Today I have heard a gossip that Electrum will give new coins. I am also planning to move there my founds to get this air drop Grin

I thought that only held one or two types of coins but i have come across the name

Stuff the miners on BTC because they are getting as little money from me as possible and because the Jaxx Wallet
gives you access to all the private keys (They are seeded) then I think i can import them anyway.

Have you noticed the amount of ICO's starting on January ? ETH will do well if it does not start crashing again me thinks
