^  It’s a main event that nobody really wants to see right now.  What should happen is Poirier challenges for the belt and fights Chandler, Gaethje and maybe even Ferguson.  But no...  We’re given a trilogy nobody’s really excited about.

And the undercard is kinda underwhelming at first glance.  But looking at it again, there’s some good match ups in there.  Price vs Pereira, Condit vs Griffin, Hall vs Topuria could be closer than what the line is showing..  And Thompson vs Burns should be good.  I really think Burns could rock Thompson.

Ferg is ded tbh, and I mean that as in he has 3 in a row and is nowhere near to be a top contender atm, Chandler just lost a title fight so he goes back to the start (I admit, he looked damn good tho), and Gathjes last fight was a title fight loss, so the only thing that would really make sense here is Dustin vs Chalie Olivs, but after that, it's really not a great selection at the moment. I get your sentiment, it just seems that the trilogy could resolve some things in the division, and I hate to say it, especially if Conor wins.

Here you go boyos, the full list! I wonder how many will get canceled before fight day. Not the best of cards, but they have the main to carry it... Condit fighting on the prelims, that just don't feel right somehow. I know he dropped a bunch, but still, he deserves the main, especially on a card like this.

What happened: Just found this site and it really doesn't seem like they have any presence anywhere. No social media, no additional info besides one provided on the site, seems fishy. It may or may not be a scam, but just be careful when using sites like this. Too bad, they had no free operators to answer me XD

I'm not yet sold on the hole merit and rank system. Sure, at the time it was probably a good step forward from the previous system, but what this brought on is a bunch of new people asking questions on how to rank up or earn merits, rather than asking good quality questions that will enhance their knowledge of crypto and make them a valuable contributor to the forum.
1245  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: July 04, 2021, 11:10:00 AM
This oil is called synthol, it consists of many components, including analgesic... I don't know what they inject it for, but it really looks terrible! I don't think it's any help at all in slap competitions...
I never heard of that oil, but from what you say, it will have an effect to the player in the future. I wish they know what they're doing and not using that oil instead to just practice with the others exercise to have a power.

Oil has some dangerous characteristics that prevent the body from naturally transporting the poison out of the body. The damage that oil can cause can easily be fatal and we have seen that dozens of times before. If you are a bit into bodybuilding you may know a couple of stories about it. I can tell you it is a disgusting and painful death because your organs start defending like hell but they can't succeed against that fucking oil.
Injecting oil into your body to make your muscle look bigger is stupidity x 1000. It also looks shitty as you can obviously see...
If the effect is not happen in a short term, that will give you the effect in the future. I can not imagine what will happen to their body if they inject that oil to their body. I only that if someone doing bodybuilding, he needs to consume an healthy food, vitamins, egg and other protein that can help him to build a big muscle. But if that use oil, medicine, or even using an illegal things that can make their body in danger, that will not be a good idea.

Oil does absolutely nothing but harm, at least in the form they inject that stuff into their bodies. The body reacts with inflammation, which it always does when it wants to get rid of some bad stuff, but in this case it doesn't work. So the immune system is permanently in an alert state. That can't be good, even a child could tell...
Hopefully, the oil will not harm their body in the long term because if it's happening, the immune system can not prevent the damage and make their body drop and cause death. Maybe they will not think about what will happen to them in the future because they only want to win the tournament. It is better to exercise and practice our body to have power and beat the opponent in that tournament.

Synthol is widely used unfortunately and its side effects have been documented. Here is a short list off Synthol issues:

nerve damage.
blockage of the pulmonary artery, which supplies blood to the lungs.
heart attack.
stroke.
infectious complications.

It obviously depends on the dosage used and no short-term indications do not mean any long-term complications will not appear (as noted above in the list). Seeing that this was mentioned in a slapping tournament thread, Synthol will NOT give you and advantage in anything, it will only make you look like a person who has some issues. That's it.

You are totally right but look at those arms of that dude. I don't need to be a doctor to reliably tell you that that dosage the guy took is certainly dangerous Smiley When you arm is bigger than your upper leg, you either skipped leg days forever or you took a lot of synthol. Just looking at it makes me feel sick.

ahahahahaha, yeah, of course, you are right, you can tell from space that this guy completely photoshopped his biceps in real life by using Synthol. But there are other examples where Synthol, when used in smaller dosages, can enhence a certain muscle for a short period of time for bodybuilding shows. But even those smaller dosages, in the long run, are dengerus.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 04, 2021, 11:03:06 AM

It always takes one punch in the HW so that's one thing you can always count on. One thing you can't really count on is taking that shot and surviving. Sure there have been situations where, for instance, Miočić would take Ngannous shot in the first fight, but that's not something to relly on in that division.

Well, I am expecting Gane could withstand that shot, even though he can not deliver a shot that can surely knock out Lewis, I really think he is durable enough to withstand a blow from him, and even Ngannou, that is how confident I am in saying that Ciryl Gane can withstand a blow from Derrick Lewis,

And apparently, an interview with Ciryl Gane said that he acknowledges how dangerous Derrick Lewis but he will surely put him in deep trouble, I really think that Gane wants the Ngannou fight so badly or a higher ranking fight that bad, I really think just like that Alexander Volkov fight Bon Gamin is thinking out ways to defeat Derrick Lewis.

No no, I completely understand, and there is no reason why not to think he can (until proven differently, if that happens), what I am saying is that is a risky tactic to even consider at that weight. I would rather see him not get hit than to already be thinking about how he can take it when he gets hit.

quality comes in all shapes and sizes. It could be a translation to your local board, a study you interpreted, a question you asked to educate yourself, reporting scams or some help to new people on the forum. All of that is considered quality posting. engage in thoughtful discussions and always ask yourself, will this post benefit the crypto ecosystem in any way.
1248  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If your country does not allow the use of Bitcoin, what would you do? on: July 03, 2021, 11:26:18 AM
Honestly, I would just wait it out if possible. Things change from one cycle to the next and we might see more countries adopt some for, or start acknowledging Bitcoin in the same way, during the next cycle. Maybe not to make hasty decisions but rather to see what happens. Monetary policies change with the tide.

As reported earlier with bitraderxpay, I believe this might be the same group.

I was right about bitraderxpay as the site went offline, this seems to be the same design, but they have upped their game recently so it's harder to spot. If you can stick with the bigger exchanges that are legit.

1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 03, 2021, 11:05:34 AM

derrick only need a one shot. Gane has the agility and he can throw all his strenght here but if he isnt going to succeed in bringing derrick down, it could end terribly with just one shot from derrick.

Gane speed up quickly up there accepting any possible opponent. if he has no problem fighting ngannou, he will be next then.

Yup! Derrick will only need one punch to KO Gane, but I believe Gane has upped his defenses and ready to take that shot, and I am sure that Gane will be having a hard time with Derrick Lewis I see Lewis can withstand possible KO shots, and Ciryl Gane has an issue to just win from an opponent with great durability with a decision,

Ryan Hall is probably one of the best on the ground, especially with leg locks, and the 50/50 position. Although, I just feel like he's lacking elsewhere. When he doesn't actually get that leg lock he tends to struggle. I remember watching him in TUF, and he went up against Saul. Clearly Saul was the better striker, and the only chance Ryan had of beating him was on the ground. Although, Ryan didn't even get close to submitting him. Proving that when Ryan can't get that leg lock, he struggles a little bit.

His opponent next is a good fighter, and I think has decent take down defense if my memory serves me correctly. Though, looking at the odds, Ryan Hall by submission is very lucrative. Its 3.00 just for Ryan Hall to win, and my betting site hasn't got the odds up yet for win by submission, however I'm expecting around 4.00.

I really like fighters with unique skill sets and with different techniques, this is why I am a fan of Khabib Nurmagomenodov, But Ryan Hall is different he sure is brilliant with leg locks and clearly can finish the job with a submission but yes his opponent can not be underestimated Ilia Topuria has a decent takedown defense and might see through any possible takedown techniques of Ryan Hall, but if Hall can pull this I think he can eventually submit this.

It always takes one punch in the HW so that's one thing you can always count on. One thing you can't really count on is taking that shot and surviving. Sure there have been situations where, for instance, Miočić would take Ngannous shot in the first fight, but that's not something to relly on in that division.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: July 02, 2021, 09:01:35 AM
Let retired or older fighters stay retired or go to retirement. No need to grind it out for our viewing pleasure. We can't relive classic fights and when the age factor kicks in, you can be sure you would be disappointed with how it turned out. There is a completely new spectrum of fighters that are young and upcoming, we should focus, as fans, more on them.

Fedor never retired and he never had a farewell fight like many of legends had before, so I see nothing wrong to see him one last time fighting against some other MMA veteran.
Nobody is thinking he should fight with champions or fighters that are in prime, but Fedor is still 44 years old, not 84, in comparison with light-heavyweight champion in UFC Jan Blachowicz who is 38 years old.
Some other examples are Demian Maia 43, Yoel Romero 44, Andrei Arlovski 42, and I think there is a lot of space for young and upcoming fighters.

I mean a lot of fighters don't have a dedicated farewell fight, they just retire, and by retire, I don't mean handing in his official papers to the state, I mean him being inactive in the sport for some time. A year and a half of inactivity is a big deal when you are 44. And I am aware of the fighters you mentioned, but that doesn't mean it's a great idea for them to continue to fight at that age.
1252  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: July 02, 2021, 08:56:36 AM
In sports like this muscular appearance might seem very much deceptive and could make one bet against a slim competitor. And at the end the game turns around. Placing a bet on a game I don't have prior knowledge about is a no for me because I have lost a huge fortune taking up such adventure. So if I must bet in slapping competition it definitely means I must have followed up series of performances by the competitors so I can analyze their strength and weakness then bet based on my analysis and not betting blindly
What's needed in this kind of game is that the muscles involved in your slapping ability needs to be refined and strengthened and sometimes the not so bulky and cut out ones are dominating the tournament, just look at Vasily Kamatski, he isn't the most bulky guy in the game but he is the one that is most look forwarded player because he can knockout opponents and he once was filmed slapping a watermelon and blasting it.

That's a lot of practice to do that. Just like someone hitting a piece of wood and breaking it. And yes, before betting on this kind of tournament, one should really do a background check and at least following the personalities involved. Betting blindly on this sports will just incur losses. However, I believe this kind of sports will only make in their local betting scene. I don't know if this sports has been conducted outside of Russia.
I don't know if a smaller guy without big muscles can win against a big guy with big muscles, because this tournament I think with big muscles and having a bigger physique will certainly be easy to win. But, if the little guy can really beat the big guy, then I guess it's not about his strength but about the technique he has in delivering the right slap.

As I have repeatedly said the main skill that must have a participant of such competitions is the ability to keep the blow and not to lose consciousness from the crushing blow of the opponent. It reminds me something of the test for getting a carp beret in the Russian army, when the test subject must last 12 minutes in sparring.

There are two technical camps in boxing, one thinks that strengthening of the neck is better for absorbing blows to the head, and the other is that a relaxing of the head could be a better option for that. It's hard to tell and will probably be something that will be from person to person.

One cancelation for UFC 264 as Louis Smolka withdraw from his fight with Sean O'Malley and UFC is looking for some replacement fighter.

Hm...I don't know if O'Malley should accept that, but I also don't know if he has a choice. Sometimes those last-minute changes turn out bad for fighters that prepared for a completely different style of fighting, but let's see who they will pick for the replacement.

Big news, UFC 265 fight is scheduled with Derrick Lewis vs Ciryl Gane interim heavyweight championship main event on August 7th!
I don't understand why this is interim title, and even this is a shock even for Francis Ngannou team, because his last fight was only few months ago in March 27th.
There was speculation that Derrick Lewis should fight with Francis Ngannou and it's not clear why that is now canceled, and Gane just finished and won his fight with Alexander Volkov.

Interim title, interesting... Why there is an interim title fight, when there is a champ already. Looks like we dont have a champ in heavyweight then? Maybe Ngannou has lost a fighters license or a reason and now we will have a interim title fight? Or perhaps this is all about money again. Ngannou asked a lot of money, Dana put him on the bench and will call out when he would be interested in him again. Or Ngannou has moved to other organization (unlikely) or is having a boxing match for a million cheque Cheesy

As I wrote in a post earlier and as reported per Bloodyelbow, it's a matter of pay, and since Ngannou defied the almighty UFC, they decided to punish him. This has nothing to do with Lewis being ready for a title shot, UFC would not go to those lengths to accommodate Lewis, so it's purely a show of force by UFC.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: June 29, 2021, 07:58:11 AM
Bellator and PFL events are starting in few hours but big news is that Fedor Emelianenko is back again in fight scheduled for October 23 in Moscow!
Fedor is legend now 44 years old, with 39-6 MMA record, and Bellator is still looking for fighter who will challenge him, and there are a lot of names under consideration.
This will probably be his last professional fight in front of his Russian supporters in Moscow.
The legendary run by Fedor Emelianenko was when i was not a fan of the sport and i thought it was brutal and after becoming a MMA fan i started watching his old fights and the fighter that upset him when he was ruling the sport was Fabrício Werdum and he is also 43 years of age and a rematch would be great and i am sure it will big numbers for his last fight.

1257  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: June 29, 2021, 07:53:37 AM
I have a question to all experts in the slapping sports. What about doping? Do they control for it? In my opinion there is a high likelihood that people take pills to reduce pain. Is this legal? The more professional this sports get the more anti-doping-controls are needed.
For sure any taking of drugs or pain relievers would really be that prohibited and when this sports become big then for sure they would really be mindful about these kind of probabilities but for now it isn't really that getting that much of attention then there might be instances where these things been skipped out.

I agree on some points that you had mentioned that the more this sports getting some traction then those controls are much off needed but honestly
it isn't really that much of a concern since those can be easily checked.

As you say, at the beginning of any competition many people are not going to care too much about stuff like this as what they want is for the sport to gain attention and participants, however once the sport gets big enough then we will begin to see those kind of tests being forced on the participants in order for the competition to be as fair as possible, as far as I know this is already happening in some esports, it may not seem to make sense to apply those tests to them but when we take into account that some drugs give higher focus then this could give a huge advantage to those that use it.

Regarding pain relievers, you have to be pretty fucked up to decrease the amount of pain from a direct slap, and then your timing, accuracy, and strength would be completely off because of pain killers do that to a person. There is a reason professional fighters do not use them.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 29, 2021, 07:50:43 AM
There is change of things in the Heavy Weight division than expected, i thought Derrick Lewis will be facing Francis Ngannou for the belt but now news is coming out about an interim UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane and it is expected to take place at UFC 265.
I wonder what happened to Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis match up and whether we will be seeing the debut of Jon Jones fighting for the Heavyweight title this year.

I'd say standard UFC shenanigans, and from what I have read and what has been going on recently, it's mostly due to money. Now, there are both sides to that. Is Francis asking to much and overshooting his stardom, and is UFC just underpaying everyone. Here is an article on the interim situation. Not much detail but still https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2021/6/28/22554776/francis-ngannou-expresses-shock-after-ufc-books-interim-title

I just fear this post will get buried with time and new people will continue to ask the same questions. I never got why you would have to achieve a certain rank before posting pictures, makes not much sense to me. There are some useful info here that I didn't know, so thanx for that Smiley I mean, is there any way to make it mandatory to read posts like this before starting on the forum? Like right after registration?
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 28, 2021, 08:03:24 AM
What a card last night was. I actually missed a few fights, because I didn't realize it was such a early start. I found the Gane fight a little underwhelming, and I really thought Volkov would have come out with something more. While the scorecards more or less reflected Gane's dominance, I didn't think it was as wide of a gap. I thought Volkov at least secured either the 1st or 4th round. Can't argue with the result though, Gane just did enough.
I agree with you and Sal D'Amato and disagree with the two other judges. For me Volkov won the first round. Moreover UFC stats are clear, he landed 25 strikes in the first round against only 16 strikes for Ciryl Gane. Even if his strikes were mostly low kicks he was the one attacking and dominating the fight.
https://www.ufc.com/event/ufc-fight-night-june-26-2021#9120
Anyway I don't give him another round and I 'm convinced he was the overall loser of the bout.

yeah, getting into those details can be overwhelming sometimes. If it was a closer fight that might be a problem. But Volkov lacked the consistency he had in the first round and that was the major factor of his loss. Looking at it now, I can't really figure out what he would have to do to stay relevant in the top. Actually, if it's just conditioning then that is a major and maybe unsolvable issue for him.
