A developer in Ahmedabad is selling these flats. It is a huge step. I would be interested in seeing how it is accounted for, what capital gains it attracts, etc.

Isn't it just a trading site? With low trade volumes/liquidity, I wouldn't be surprised if the spread was huge.

Let me know if we have good number of people attending this. We may announce air drop for the same, so new people can get free bitcoins.
Regards
This initiative, if it happens, might actually result in attendance increasing. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Ireland seem to have started very well today. What are the odds on them?

USD will be the biggest loser if Bitcoin gains adoption globally.
Many people hold a small stash of USD along with their local currency since it is useful for travel and widely recognizable, just in case it might be needed.
The decline of the dollar, if it happens, will be gradual. People will have enough opportunities to exit the dollar.

Seems like a great way for them track every single thing you buy.
Well it's not mandatory to use the digital currency so not every single thing. Actually very few people are using it at the moment. And I guess nobody willing to hide the transaction would use it. It definitely will take time to catch on. For a person with a bank account, it would be easier to do a wire transaction with fiat, wouldn't it? More privacy in it as well.
