1241  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Drop your predictions for the value of dollar against naira? on: February 21, 2024, 03:12:04 PM
Day before yesterday, it was #1900 for $1 and today in the newspaper and a thread in the neighborhood forum says that government restricted some exchanges and some firms to trade naira with dollar with $1800. And I when I say what is happening in the country I wept. Because I can vividly remember when dollar was exchanged with #150 to $1 and Nigerian Labour Congress seriously protested and the then president put everything in order to douse the situation. But today dollar is traded or exchanged with the Nigeria naira that making the goods and services very high that the poor can't even talk again. Where are the NLC?

Before dis year go end dollar go reach #2500 and if things are like this before next year go end, dollar go reach #5000. As it is now pound is #2500. Are we sure things will come back again?
1242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make reading a habit on: February 21, 2024, 03:00:51 PM
I have seen a legendary member said, when he or she first came to the forum, he was busy reading other people posts for about three months before he created a thread but most of us didn't do that and it was later I also realized my mistakes. And now we are telling them to read but most of them would not listen but eager to rank. Eager to find merits and others.

It takes great strength and courage to start creating new Topics. Even until now you can see the history of the topics I created is not much. This means that people who understand the forum well will initially learn by reading. After that, analyze the composition of the topic how to write and everything. I'm sure they will copy the style with adjustments to our abilities. So starting with reading and making short answers or short questions to start writing is good enough. Because we need a long process to create a good topic or answer.
Exactly in those days people read more than creating new topics in the forum. And I can see yours as one but this days newbies are ready to create 20 topic threads in the first day of the registration with out of points topic and it is in the later run for about two to three weeks then they would come to their sense and started creating threads to ask questions when they would have started earlier. So with that some of them end up getting negative tag or neutral tags because they were in hurry to rank up or merit hunters.

And one thing in the forum reading other people threads to know more is the best approach to learn faster. And if they want to create thread at the initial time, they should start with questions about things they don't know so that experience ones will teach and tell them what to do. And others can also learn from there.
1243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it letting the bank know that you are a BTC Investor? on: February 21, 2024, 02:48:46 PM
The bank should not concern about where the funds are coming from and their's is to serve the clients or the customers of the bank and not to investigate the client private transaction. And letting the bank to know that you holding bitcoin or cryptocurrency is not a bad thing and all depends on the country. If you are in a country that loves cryptocurrency then you are free to tell the bank that you are a cryptocurrency investor. But whereby the country you living in does not accept bitcoin or ban bitcoin then you don't have to expose yourself to anyone to avoid unnecessary embarrassment or harassment.

Stay clear and safe avoid those those who hate bitcoin.
At some point in Nigeria, they were having issues with those who invested in Bitcoin and even blocked their accounts, and I don't even see the reason why the bank should be blocking people's accounts, maybe due to the ill-will of the government. but now that it is becoming legal, the bank will not accept it, and I know some bankers will even have an interest in Bitcoin. The bank sees Bitcoin as a competition, which is why they are trying to get rid of it at all costs. The biggest problem is that you run Bitcoin involving the bank for countries that have accepted it as a legal tender. If in any country Bitcoin is banned, then you will have a big problem with its usage, but if it is not banned, then it makes using it much easier. and you will be free from all kinds of challenges.
If you understand my previous post you would notice that I made mentioned of all that. And when Nigerian Government instructed the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN to stopped anything that is related not cryptocurrency in the country, and CBN activated policy and implemented it so all the banks in the country implemented it so if anyone was found using cryptocurrency then the account would be blocked but even at that if you settled with the bank managers they would instruct you what to do to transfer the funds to another account for you to withdraw. I have encountered such issue in one of the banks in Nigeria. And yes money many people fall into victim of this and that was why when you use cryptocurrency exchange platforms for p2p transaction the buyers would warned you that you should not mention anything concerning cryptocurrency in the transaction process.

But that has been settled, so now that the CBN has lifted up the ban all those nonsense has stopped. I know of a bank managers and cashiers who are into cryptocurrency businesses now.
1244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CORRECT AND NOT ATTACK on: February 20, 2024, 10:09:50 PM
If you were not informed of the dos and don't then as you cane in the first thing to do is to ask questions to know them before doing any other things but as you came you were also interested to acquire merits and rank up and was not interested to ask any question to learn so the attacks also came from that angles so you don't have to blame anyone here but yourself. As you can if you asked questions then people would be interested to help you out from the question you asked.

And also for people to guide you here is also depends on you, the way you present yourself here mend a lot. People are not here to attack but to educate but when you didn't follow the rules then attack must come you have to wear the thick skin to over come the attacks.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it letting the bank know that you are a BTC Investor? on: February 20, 2024, 09:55:31 PM
The bank has concerns regarding the source of the funds of all their clients. They are subject to regulations by the country and, as you mentioned, this could vary depending on the country. If Bitcoin is not approved by the country, there is a high likelihood that the funds may be put on hold as the authorities have the power to do so.
I have made it very clear that all depends on the country and if the country is a cryptocurrency friendly or not. There was a time when Bitcoin was banned in my country, and as the op said the f you go the bank to lay a complain about the issue you were facing in the account and you be given a form to fill and in the form there was a a place or a column to fill that if you are involved in cryptocurrency or not and that was when Bitcoin was banned but now that column has nothing to do with the people again since Bitcoin has been unban in the country. But before then, nobody ticked that place but people ticket because bankers are looking for where to buy Bitcoin p2p in a cheaper rate.

Telling people that you are investing investing in cryptocurrency is not a bad thing because I see nothing wrong for that since cryptocurrency is not a criminal activity.
1246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk rules and gudie for newbies on: February 20, 2024, 09:44:31 PM

Most newbies are only interested to create thread and to rank up and most of them are doing that because of the orientation given to them by their mentors and it is possible newbies should read and make replies to the threads they have reading and ask questions when it is necessary to learn things in the forum but they are busy with creating threads.

I have seen a legendary member said, when he or she first came to the forum, he was busy reading other people posts for about three months before he created a thread but most of us didn't do that and it was later I also realized my mistakes. 1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Must you lose before you gain in Bitcoin investment? on: February 20, 2024, 08:10:24 PM
I don't believe that theory in bitcoin investment but it is possible in gambling or trading. Now in investment all depends on the time of the investment, it you invest when bitcoin price was high, then you have to what till the price again is higher than the time of purchasion. There is no loss in bitcoin investment unless you were in hurry to afraid to lose so you sell them in prematurely but if you are patient enough till the next bull market then you win all. And if you invest when the bitcoin price is low on the bear market then you are in the winning side of the journey and the investment.

But if you are in the trading side of the ecosystem then that is where your friends too is dragging the argument to because in trading it is not guaranteed that you must make profit and if you are inexperienced trader then your loses is guaranteed and you will learned from it before you can picked up to make profit but investment is not like that.

Then in gambling is just like the trading, in which there is no guaranteed to win. Is is 50/50. So it is only in investment that you don't lose but others you lose.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too advanced to get into Bitcoin now? on: February 20, 2024, 07:57:58 PM
Though bitcoin has grown so far compared to the last two years but I still believe that it is not too advanced to buy bitcoin and accumulate it in the wallet. If you buy it now there is the possibility that you will still make enough profit from the investment because it is still at the rate of $51+2+k and the highest estimation is $100k and if f you invest at the this time and finally the price climbed to the $100k then you know what you have gotten.

If there is money don't look for someone advise and just make a simple budget not yourself and start buying it will with what you have and for the next bull market. Hodle and be hodling till then.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is my plan. on: February 20, 2024, 07:50:48 PM
however i am also new here but i am here to learn how to gain More knowledge about Bitcoin.
accumlationg Bitcoin is not an easy task but when you have patience you can safe up 1 BTC without knowin, and again you must have whats giving you money before you can accumulate Bitcoin.
That is the statement made by me in the local board and other boards that "do something before investing in bitcoin", it is just like a slogan and it is the best option to invest so you won't spend the invested bitcoins again. Use wisdom in the investment of bitcoin and you will make it in the future. One thing we have to know is that we don't have to rush into bitcoin investment and we should not be afraid of bitcoin when the price of bitcoin low.

The plan of the op is good but he has to think well before going into the investment. Which one I will do to give me more money to start investment and the alternative means of getting money apart from the main sources. How much will I use for each month to buy bitcoin. These are some of the investment plans to think of.
1252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the Best Option: Because of Dollar Rate Cost of Living is on the Peak on: February 20, 2024, 07:35:55 PM
As I said earlier Dollar does affect the fiat currency but it does affect bitcoin to be devalued
dollar does not affect bitcoin
Apart from the fact that you contradicted yourself in two paragraphs, dollar on its own is not affecting the cost of stuff including fiat exchange rate in other countries. What affects them is the decisions of the governments of those countries.

For example when they keep printing their national currency, they devalue that fiat and consequently price of everything goes up against their fiat.

The only case where dollar comes in is when that other country is an importer of US inflation. In simple terms that is when US prints dollar out of thin air and purchases real goods and services from that country.

Now, granted bitcoin has created great opportunities for a small number of individuals in different countries to make some additional money and improve their own personal financial situation, but as a whole it is not affecting the economy at a large scale.
I am agreed with you on this note, because the government policies are the ones affecting the cost of living in most countries and the increase of the dollar by devalueing their currencies by thinking that by doing that their states economies would be better but the opposite always display for them. Dollar might play a vital role in the increase of things in the country though you have started it and it is very much clear for average educated person to understand and really if the country uses imported goods then it is possible that stuff that were imported from the other country would create inflation in the receiving country.

And for the transaction fee, Bitcoin transaction fee is good now so business can accept bitcoin as one the payment method in the business.
1253  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Are you Benefitting or not Benefitting due to Dollar increase on: February 19, 2024, 11:22:44 PM
There is no benefits in the rising of dollar because as the dollar is rising the items of the country are also rising mostly both the goods and services. The food items are unbearable and the services like transport, barbing and other items are unbearable. Because the increase of dollar affect everything in the country. As for me I never see and I never know any benefit from the increase of dollar.

Even though dem dey pay I'm dollar, and di question na, you go use dollar buy something and chop here in the country? And no, so what is di need of increasing dollar and devalueing naira in di country. Because dem dey benefits from am and not the poor Masses. Op there is no benefits there.
1254  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The economy is crawling. Don't be over carried by your huge income on: February 19, 2024, 11:12:29 PM
From the leadership of Buhari and presently Tinubu as president, Nigeria being the giant of Africa is no more it has fallen. Nigeria was a pride of the continent but it has nothing to offer again the economy has fallen and the cost of living is on the highest level in the country. Nigeria according to some scholars in the country was a falling state but right now it has finally a failed state. I don't know who can revive this economy to the normal way when Goodluck was the president of the country when dollar was exchanged with #150 to a $1.

The only solution to dis problem n to embark on a very serious protest that most of the top politicians families should be eliminated so dat they will know that we are angry to the core. Dis no be time to pampy them but with a radical approach.
1255  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Drop your predictions for the value of dollar against naira? on: February 19, 2024, 11:04:03 PM
Op I no think say we go discuss for here thread like this and we no go talk about the cost of living in di country then you go change di topic and di content of the thread because it is the increase of di dollar dat causing di high cost of living. The more dollar increase the more prices of goods and services dey also increase. So dollar and cost of living e dey walk hand in hand.

And as for di prediction with dollar/Naira. I think Charles -Tim e don create something like dat before and all us of been dey make thread there so I do don't know why dis thread is here again because you fo comment on dat thread. Well so e people predicted that before di year go end one dollar go reach #2000. While some predicted more than 2k.
1256  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The increase of altcoins on: February 19, 2024, 10:55:15 PM
There are good cryptos to invest apart from Ethereum. Litecoin, Dogecoin Eloncoin and lately Solana coins  are all good to invest. And why Eloncoin is good to invest is that if di coin e no dey good the owners for no dey do advertisement seriously like this and only dis advertisements go tell you say di project na legit one. So make una rush to invest in Eloncoin now as di coins still dey low, make una no regret say, I would know I for invest in Eloncoin dat time, now sef e never too late,

Investing in altcoins (other coins) e dey good well well because e go make you to have more assets in the cryptocurrency ecosystem space. And altcoins dey cheap well well so if you invest now and di price come up well well then you do make am be that.
1257  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The need to acquire an asset now on: February 19, 2024, 10:42:12 PM
Investing in assets might not be di problem but to get di money to invest nai be another thing wey dem no fit do. And now that di price of things are high and dollar is on the high rate, this is the best time to invest in bitcoin and any other good project so that when the time to withdraw in the bull market you will be smiling at them. But when you dey invest make you look well well so dat you no go go invest on wrong coins or assets.

Many people fall to invest on good assets so when di cost of living hit the street every of those would be affected by the high cost of living because dem no get any backup to support dem.
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quick profit is the only reason why we invest in Altcoins on: February 19, 2024, 04:48:00 PM
And the question is will all the altcoins will for suit and bitcoin price soar up to the sky? And if yes then it ought time you have to check all the altcoins to see if all are moving up. Investors of Altcoins only select the quality coins to invest and not anyhow coins in the ecosystem. Quick profit in cryptocurrency is the one making some people to be disappointed so if you are investing in altcoins don't think of harvesting in in a short period of time but keep it for years and see how the project and improve.

And don't invest heavily at the first two years in the project but invest what you can loss and it will not pain  you if anything happens to the project. Then when you discovered that it is good to invest more then you can top more.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON is bad coin, here is why on: February 19, 2024, 04:10:36 PM
All those things the Op pointed out will manifest if really the coin was created to compete with other coins or cryptocurrencies because a real project of cryptocurrency supposed to develop itself to attain greatness and not to compete with others. Coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Eloncoin and some other altcoins are not competing with any other coins and they are doing things on their own.
Tron is also an altcoins and I will not judge it from my end because I am not too familiar with it and it is bad to condemn a project like that unless I have seen the bad effect of the project then I can label the coin to be a bad one.

All projects should be treated good until the reverse is the case.
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where did u put your Money ? on: February 19, 2024, 02:49:22 PM
Then you are in the right place for the right project or coin of Eloncoin. You can visit the announcement thread for more information https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5344245.0. Those who invested in it when the coin or the project was launched are now making progress and profits. Diversification of investment is one of the good thing to do and one thing you are to do is to buy the dip and hodle for a long term and not a short term investment.

If you are investing in altcoins you don't have to invest for short term but long term investment so that the dip you will buy will be a good profit for you in the years to come.
