1241  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: March 09, 2023, 11:54:34 PM
Of course I suggest re-thinking the impact or losses that we will experience if the market drops, sometimes the market drops significantly and as is currently happening that the price has dropped by more than 60% compared to ATH in 2021, if we want to take a loan to invest in bitcoin then i suggest to pay in long term eg 5 years. so that we don't panic when prices drop on a daily basis as is happening now.

Do you know the interest accrued when you take out a loan from the bank to repay in 5 years? The interest accumulated would grow to be more than the loan you originally took out.
It is not wise to take out a loan especially from the bank to invest in bitcoin. Taking out a loan for business purposes is risky enough cause the business may or may not yield profits in the expected time and the bank would definitely come calling for their money.
You do not invest what you can’t afford to lose. You definitely do not take out a loan to invest in bitcoin.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: March 09, 2023, 11:33:43 PM
I wouldn’t necessarily say that money is ruling the world cause in my opinion, it’s not. Admittedly, money is very important as we need money to purchase whatever we want whenever we want it.
Personally, I think we indirectly and directly give more and more power to money with our love and pursuit for money. There are people who are willing to do unimaginable things hence selling their conscience and their soul for money. These are the people that let money rule and control them.
Thankfully there are still people who wouldn’t dance to the sweet sweet tunes of money no matter how skilled the player is.
Money would rule the world if only we allow it.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 08, 2023, 10:36:26 PM
Messi must be fuming and feeling frustrated right now. It is 8 consecutive seasons since he last lifted club football's most prestigious trophy. To him this present PSG team at the moment is the best that can help him win the Champions League for the last time before he calls it a day in his illustrious and trophy laden career and considering his uncertain future at the end of the season which means that this might be the last time that Messi is gonna compete for the the trophy again.

There were definitely no smiles on the face of Messi as he walked rather briskly off the pitch and into the dressing room. He definitely wouldn’t be lifting the champions league trophy this season. PSG seemed like the best bet for him to enable him lift the champions league trophy but that dream went up in smoke as Bayern cruised to victory.
After having spent a whole lot to bring some good players to the club, the champions league dreams this season has fizzled away.
If Neymar had played, I wonder if the outcome of the game would have been any different.
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 08, 2023, 09:55:06 PM
Another goal put in by the substitute Gnabry. This is making the score line 2:0 and 3:0 on aggregate. In my opinion, the game is already over as I really don’t see PSG coming back from this in the 5 minute extra time added. PSG, having a lot of good players actually played well but couldn’t play well enough to defeat Bayern.
I wish Mane would have been put on much earlier. He’s such a great and dedicated player and I think if he had more playing time, he would have made more of a difference in the game.
1245  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans go to Mexico for medicals to cut costs. on: March 08, 2023, 09:02:21 PM
The recent kidnapping of four Americans exposed me to the medical tourism going on in America. I have always thought that the US was a perfect country has very functional health, economic, and political systems. I thought all Americans have access to cheap and quality medical services until I read that over one million Americans go on medical tourism in Mexico yearly.

Well, you obviously thought wrong. No country is perfect and all Americans doesn’t have access to cheap nor quality medical health care service. Americans travel all over for health care services not cause they offer better services but they offer cheaper services that can’t be gotten back at home.
Medical tourism happens everywhere and people from so called developed nations travel out to seek cheaper but not necessarily better healthcare
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Inflation Happening All Over the World At Once? on: March 08, 2023, 05:25:32 AM
Because today countries are much more tied to each other through trade than they were in the past. If one major country is in the crisis, it can't buy as much goods from other countries, so they enter a crisis too. Plus we're still living in post-covid times, and all governments responded to covid by increasing spending, which is one of the biggest causes of inflation.

I quite agree with you. Today, countries of the earth are closely aligned with and dependent on each other for either resources and or energy. And when one major supplier of this energy or resources goes into a crisis, the countries heavily dependent on it would also go into a crisis.

Also, poor economic policies of a lot of countries would in the long run add to the economic problems rocking the country. The government response to the aftermath of the covid pandemic too probably has a part to play as to increase spending, more money needed to be printed and more money in circulation in the economy equals high inflation.
1247  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: March 08, 2023, 05:04:58 AM
Most times I feel for people that have many children because too get basic needs in today's economy is very difficult,
the annoying part is that the government an it agencies are doing nothing or less about the cost control of goods and services in the state.
An this has created a torn in the lives of many as situations keeps on getting worse by the day.
Am wondering if it's same experience in other part of the world.

You’ve made a solid point here and I can understand cause I, most times also feel sorry for the very poor folks. They’re poor in almost every aspect. They’re poor in the way they think, the way they act and in the way they speak. Ignorance plays a big role in their lives. Cause how would an individual who isn’t capable of feeding him or herself comfortably go on ahead to continue breeding and producing children. Children that won’t be fed well or taken care of the way the child deserves.
That child, without having the basic things needed(education, love and care in the home etc) would probably go through a difficult time and would slowly develop the same ignorant mentality the parents had.
The cost of living is nowadays really trying to kill the living.

Credit to Mikel Arteta. He has developed a winning mentality in this Arsenal team, now they approach every game with seriousness and that hunger to win and get all points. Arsenal are seriously focused on winning the league title this season and are giving everything they have for the cause. A lot of people are waiting for Arsenal to fall off the ladder, I really hope Arsenal can disappoint them.

Yeah, Arteta deserves a lot of credit as he has given the lads at Arsenal the drive and urge to go all out to win games. Arsenal is really focused on winning the primer league and unlike previous seasons, they’re in a good position to go ahead and do just that.
If they could keep up the pressure at which they’re currently playing, then the premier league trophy is just one of the many trophies they could win.
Sure, a lot of people would rather see Manchester City win the league and lift the trophy but I’m also hoping they would all be disappointed. It’s about time Arsenal won the premier league trophy again.

Erik Ten Hag must be able to rebuild the confidence of all Manchester United players. because of course this defeat by Liverpool will indeed have an impact on their level of confidence. as we saw in the second half of the match we could see the MU players seemed to have lost their confidence.

But I still believe Erik Ten Hag can rebuild the confidence level of MU players. and they should also be more motivated to further improve the performance they have.

So that MU can continue to collect full points in the next match, namely against Southampton.

I think Ten Hag will be able to rebuild the confidence of the boys. The defeat, might just have a negative impact on the players but however humiliating, they’ve just got to move past that. Besides, it’s only one defeat.
I think the lads majorly lost their confidence in the later part of the second half of the game as Liverpool increased their attacks and began their scoring spree.

Ten Hag has gotten them this far, I don’t think a defeat, no matter how humbling and humiliating could deter them from giving their all in the games to come. I believe they would be back to their winning ways soon enough.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 06, 2023, 05:48:28 PM
It was a result that was very far from what anyone expected, because in this moment also Manchester United was not bad but Liverpool managed to beat him with a big score and also with clean sheets.
With this big win, I'm curious, is this a sign that Liverpool can make a comeback in the Champions League to beat Real Madrid? Because at the same time Real Madrid did not get perfect results in La Liga.

It was definitely not a result I had expected from the game. Manchester United was also in good form and had been winning games also up until this point. Although I was hoping Manchester United would win, I had no inkling on who would have come out victorious in that game cause both teams were equally good.
I did think of a scenario where Liverpool would win the game but not with a wide margin as they did. It was humiliating and I felt sorry for the lads. I bet they couldn’t wait for the game to end.

Losses like this makes the whole career ventures for the coach interesting
If he gets the right players they can avoid huge losses like this in the future
I believe those players are fatigued or they let the Cup win get Into Thier heads

Not long ago everybody was busy praising Hag for what he did to the team and some even supported his decision of dropping Ronaldo from the team and even when the team was doing well he was still praised and all the victory of the club was pointed to him that he was the main reason why the team was doing well but all of a sudden just because they lost to Liverpool everyone now thinks he has been doing nothing all the praises has disappeared into thin air.

Even some of the people mocking him after yesterday's match ( which I was part of) we all praised him at one point, but I must agree that most of the memes yesterday was really hilarious. Grin Grin

I wouldn’t exactly say people have forgotten his wins and all what he had been doing to turn things around.
I think people that are mocking and making fun of him at the moment are trolls and haters that would obviously jump in to capitalize on the huge humiliating loss they just recently suffered at the hands of Liverpool.

I don’t think a true Manchester United supporter would make fun of Ten Hag cause of a single defeat irrespective of the margin of the loss which in this case is really huge.

Manchester United is still doing well without Ronaldo. And the team would get over this loss and continue to do their best.

The game between Liverpool vs Manchester United is finally over with the score line being 7:0. This is definitely humiliating for Manchester United. Firmino came on from the bench to add to the humiliating defeat Manchester United suffered by adding one more goal.
Liverpool didn’t just win, they won magnificently. Liverpool was ruthless in this game.

The doubts in my opinion were on Liverpool as they haven’t been really superb in their recent games compared with Manchester United who has been playing really good in their recent matches.

7 goals! This is Liverpool biggest win against Manchester United.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 05, 2023, 06:11:07 PM
2 goals for Darwin, 2 goals for Gakpo, 2 for Salah. 6 nil. Who saw this coming? I sure didn’t.
The game is over for Manchester United as they just can’t come back from this. This is really humiliating for Manchester United and I feel sorry for them.
It has been a good game for Liverpool and I bet they’re enjoying themselves at this point. Liverpool is all smiles as they’re going ahead to win the game with such a great performance, scoring 6 goals against Manchester United.
Who would have guessed Liverpool would win at such a great margin.
7 minutes till the end of the trashing Liverpool is currently dishing out to Manchester United
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 05, 2023, 05:53:28 PM
3 minutes, 27 seconds between the second goal and the third! This is getting humiliating for Manchester United as Liverpool has scored a third goal in quick succession. Another goal scored by Cody Gapko. Manchester United in my opinion is making too many mistakes and have conceded 3 goals as proof of that.
Perhaps it’s time for a change in strategy for Manchester United. Liverpool may actually finish in the top four of the competition if they would continue to play like this. I do not see Manchester United coming back from being 3 goals down but who knows?

1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 05, 2023, 05:36:40 PM
We’re just a minute into the second half of the game and Liverpool has just put in another goal to make it 2 goals to nil. A strong header by Darwin Nunez.
Liverpool has shown real fight in this game. Despite having more of the ball, Manchester United has had more of the chances to score goals. The game is not looking too good for Manchester City at this point as they would have to come back from 2 goals and score another to win this game.

Can Manchester United come back from being 2 goals down?
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 05, 2023, 05:00:04 PM
It’s already halfway through the first half of the game between Liverpool and Manchester United and Liverpool is seemingly playing much better than Manchester United. They’ve had more of the ball in their possession and have been making good use of it too.

Manchester United just got their first good attempt at goal with an amazing header by Bruno Fernandes. The ball just sailed slightly past the bar.
The game is quite still in its early stages and it’s not really clear to me at least on who would come out victorious at the end of the game.
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 04, 2023, 07:36:44 PM
Southampton has won the game against Leicester City and taken the 3 points. This is a well deserved home win after a long time. I really did think Leicester city would claim this 3 points but Southampton was obviously the better team in this game.

Leicester City had a good chance to score at the final moments of the game with a magnificent header but the ball hit the top of the crossbar and sailed over. That would have been a defining moment as the game would have ended with a draw. Good game for Southampton.

Arsenal is back in this game after equalizing and scoring two goals to meet up with Bournemouth tow goals. I always had faith in Arsenal and I still think they are going ahead to win this game. They’ve been pressing so hard from the first half of the game, playing Bournemouth mostly in their half of the field and it’s only in the second half of the game did they manage to score goals of their own.

Bournemouth has had a lot of opportunities to score double the goals they’ve got. In my opinion, they lack good finishers that are capable of utilizing opportunities and scoring goals.
Generally, I think they’re playing a good game and showing Arsenal that they’re not a walk over like everyone probably thought. It’s now the 83rd minute into the game. The gunners must push forward to score another goal.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 04, 2023, 04:20:55 PM
Bournemouth has now scored two goals against Arsenal. Scored the second goal with a beautiful and strong header. Who would have thought!! Bournemouth is presently leading the league leaders with 2 goals to nil. I definitely didn’t see this coming.

If Arsenal loses this game, it would surely be humiliating. Presently, I still have some faith in Arsenal that they could come back and perhaps come out with a draw if not a win.
Bournemouth would definitely now play more of a defensive game than an attacking one and try to hold the game till the end.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 04, 2023, 03:38:14 PM
The game between Arsenal and Bournemouth has kicked off and kicked off with a blast. Bournemouth has scored a goal within seconds of the kickoff whistle to put them in the lead. I think that was a good move on the part of Bournemouth to score an early goal to slightly put arsenal off their game.
Arsenal is pressing harder and harder on Bournemouth goal but haven’t been able to score an equalizer so far. I think Bournemouth is playing a more defensive game than an attacking one cause Arsenal, despite having more of the ball is finding it a bit difficult to score.

The game is seemingly played just on the Bournemouth side of the pitch as Arsenal has been struggling with little success to equalize. If they put up with the attacks, they definitely would score.
