1242  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hack Into BitDice And Get 1BTC! on: December 07, 2016, 06:22:19 PM
Will be funny if it does get hacked lol Cheesy

Yeah, but if someone does manage to get in. They'll be able to increase the security and fix the issue to prevent future attacks Smiley
1243  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Paper wallet with a strong password on: December 07, 2016, 06:19:42 PM
Paper wallets are usually a pretty good method of storing coins and they are what I've used. Although, I have been looking into getting a hardware wallet possibly in the future to replace the paper wallet method. They seem to have several advantages over paper wallets but I'd assume you'd also need a paper backup for them in case of hardware failure. Paper can only fail if it gets lost of damaged lol.
1244  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the Ransomware problem? on: December 07, 2016, 06:17:11 PM
Bitcoin is often used in the ransomware attacks because it is a more anonymous form of payment so it makes it harder to track the identities of the criminals running these attacks. This could happen with any other form of currency such as cash as well and I think its just a common misconception that people equate bitcoin as being mainly used for this type of illegal activities.

1248  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Coinbase Bitcoin Users Who Evade Taxes Are Sought by the I.R.S. on: December 07, 2016, 04:30:48 PM
Only if you sell and only if you had gains.  If you bought high and sold low then that would be a loss instead which is not taxable.

Is there also a certain value that the gains must be above in order to require reporting taxes on them? If you had a gain of $5 are you still required to report it?

I'm assuming the IRS would likely only be hunting the big fish rather than smaller users. I was also curious if you bought 2 bitcoin for $1000 total and sold 1.5 bitcoin for $1000 . If you never sell the extra 0.5 that you have left, do you have to report taxes/ownership of it or does the buy/sell cancel each other out and limit your taxability?
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any risk in using Bitcoin over Public WiFi ? on: December 07, 2016, 04:21:58 PM
Personally, I'd avoid public wifi in general if at all possible. While it may be safe to broadcast a transaction over a public network, there are certainly risk of sniffing and man in the middle attacks for other actions you do. I'd rather make the connection over a cellular network than use a public wifi network if thats an option.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 04:18:58 PM
Pokemon go users drastically went down. This only means that people are too busy and always on the go. They joined pokemon go because of the hype yet only those who were an avid fan remains. So if we are going to apply this one for sure users will fade in a small period of time.

Yeah, the game doesn't have much substance after you play it for awhile. Unless they add new features, I think it gets too repetitive and boring.

I can't seem them ever implementing bitcoin into the game, they are in it for themselves and the in-app purchase not to allow users to make money with the app Tongue

1252  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Where is that offline cold storage step by step guide? on: December 07, 2016, 04:08:29 PM
Yeah, from what I have read, Trezor seems to be a pretty secure way of storing your coins although a pretty big initial cost to get the device. You could also look into the Ledger hardware wallet. They are a bit on the cheaper site but might not be as feature rich as the Trezor.
1253  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is Armory better than Electrum? on: December 07, 2016, 05:16:11 AM
I haven't tried Armory but I seem to always run into syncing issues with Electrum for some reason.

I let Electrum sit for hours and it sits stuck on syncing sometimes for no reason at all it seems. I think Armory requires the full blockchain though which sounds like a pain.
1254  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Can you recommend a anonymous wallet or has built in bitcoin mixer? on: December 07, 2016, 05:14:22 AM
Yeah, I don't know of any wallet that has a mixer built in. Blockchain used to have a sharedcoin feature which was like a mixer but they removed it.

Your best bet is to just use an external mixer like bitmixer or something if you wish to mix your coins.
1255  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: generate multiply address using bx? on: December 07, 2016, 04:58:57 AM
can I generate multiply addresses from one seed or private key in bx (libbitcoin explorer)?

Yeah, it looks like you can. You have to use the HD functionality as shown on the following pages:
https://github.com/libbitcoin/libbitcoin-explorer/wiki/bx-hd-public
https://github.com/libbitcoin/libbitcoin-explorer/wiki/bx-hd-private

You should be able to specify the index variable to indicate which address in the array you want to access.
then generated addresses using index connected to private key? I mean, then I can recover all payments by knowing just master private key? or I sholud generate private key for each index?

You would need to generate the private key for each index in order to move the funds from those addresses. But all you need to remember is the seed, because then you can generate the public or private keys based on just an index number.
1256  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hash rate of a miner on: December 06, 2016, 05:54:00 AM
If the block was mined by a pool rather than an individual user, you could likely lookup the pool's website as they usually list their hash rates on there.

For example, a recent block was mined by BTCC Pool. Looking on their website, I see their current hash rate is 188.1 PH/s.
1257  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanity Pool - vanity address generator pool on: December 06, 2016, 01:59:58 AM
ThePiachu,

I'm not sure how much you are actively maintaining this project, but any chance you could update the "Solved work" page to include a "Solved on Date" column or similar? I'd also like to see a "Requested on Date" column on the available work page if possible.

It would be nice to be able to look at dates to see if there are recent requests or solved work to monitor the recent activity of the pool.
1258  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Using custom font in qt wallet on: December 06, 2016, 01:53:47 AM
Hello,

Im trying to implement my design into qt wallet.
I encountered a problem with custom font.
I can use any system font, but dont know how to use the font which is not implemented in the system
Can anybody help me ?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers.

Your Fairy!

I would imagine that you simply bundle the font file and specify a local path to the included font file.

We'll likely need more details on your implementation or sample code on how you are attempting to load the custom font.

I saw you guys are saying a lot about the token? What does the token mean? And can you convert it to btc? And ralle said that your slot have many line comvination how many to be exact. Because afaik I only have saw 20 line combination and that is usual for a slot games would have though

The tokens can be converted to BTC as previously stated. Each token is worth 0.001 or 1000 tokens for 1 btc. However, it was recommended that you save these instead of cashing them in as they will also be used for future events that you may wish to enter.

I believe the different slots have different number of line combinations. Safari, for example, you can select up to 50 lines.
