Most likely the semi-finals will be: Portugal vs Germany and Chile vs Mexico.
I expect to see the final between Chile and Portugal that are the strongest teams and in shape of this Confederation's Cup.

Roger Federer has just won 2-0 against M. Zverev and is in the quarterfinals at Halle.
Now he has an easy draw to the final: quarter-finals against Mayer (134th atp), semi-final against Khachanov or Rublev.

Federer is improving his shape to be 100% in Wimbledon, where he will be the big favorite

With his retirement Iniesta I feel Barcelona will lose an important player, inesta it is a player who can drain the movement of the ball from the middle of the field. Proved his contribution several years ago with barcelona he always played as a starting line-up.
actually he has worry about his future in Barcelona because apparently the owners still not provide an extended contract for him even he was expect could retire in Barcelona but if the club decide will not renew the contract i think this year maybe will be the last season for him in Barcelona

Next season will be very interesting to see the news of Barcelona.
There will be a real revolution with a new coach (Valverde) and new players especially in defense and midfield. It will be difficult to replace a champion like Iniesta. However, Barcelona can start from the best attack on the world (Messi-Neymar-Suarez)
1245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 22, 2017, 02:12:18 PM

The next season will be more balanced than in the past.
Ac Milan is building a great team, Inter has taken an excellent coach, Napoli is ready to win the Serie A.
In addition, the top four will qualify directly for champion's League (groups).

At the moment the odds for the winner of the Serie A are:

Juventus @1.55
Napoli     @5.50
Roma      @7.50
Inter       @9.00
Ac Milan @10.00
as usual Juventus will be the most favourite with low odds for most of sportbooks and indeed Milan has buy several talented players even they're more active than other teams in serie-A but it doesn't guarantee they will have better performance rather than the previous season but regarding the top 5 maybe still belong to those teams above

I have a lot of doubts over Rome for next season because it has a new coach (Di Francesco is a good coach but young and inexperienced), he sold Salah (15 assist + 19 goals scored in the last season), and will almost certainly sell his best defender Manolas, and will also play the champion's league.
If Rome doesn't buy strong players, it may be a bad season.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2017 Football Summer Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 22, 2017, 02:05:48 PM
Zenit almost bought the  strong Greek defender  Manolas (Roma) for about 30M.

Banega (Inter) should return to Sevilla. Even Diego Costa should return to Spain at At Madrid (but only from January 2018).

Milan, very active in this first part of the transfermarket, wants to buy a top player and is very interested in James Rodríguez.

Borussia Dortmund has stated that Aubameyang will have to leave before July 26, after that date he will remain in the team for next season.

Antonio Conte has demanded some terms and he will refuse to extend his contract with the club before his requests are met. He wants from Chelsea board to sugn Timoe Bakayoko from Monaco, Lukaku  from Everton and Sandro from Juventus during the summer transfer period to prepare for next season's Champions League.According to news reports today, Chelsea are close to extending the contract of the Italian coach, raising his salary to 10 million pounds a year, while Conte is currently receiving 6.5 million pounds sterling

I think Conte is just pissing on his territory, letting Abramovich know he wants money & a lot of it. Chelsea will spend a lot, I have no doubt about that, they always do. They're in the CL this season too so need a bigger squad with more games

Maybe he shouldn't piss too hard because there's a manager who's looking for a new job that's a perfect fit to replace him.  If I was Abramovic, and Conte throws a fit, I'd replace him with this guy in a heart beat.  Read below.  Enjoy!  Wink

Former Barcelona Manager in Chelsea's Sights
https://www.whoscored.com/News/gNYD6eNVsk28Lh_lyDUFhw/Show/Former-Barcelona-manager-in-Chelseas-sights

I am convinced that Chelsea will make at least 3-4 big purchases this year and will be one of the favorites in champion's league.
Conte  wants Bonucci and Alex Sandro in defense, Babayoko midfield and a great striker: Lukaku or Lewandowski.
With these purchases Conte would have a very strong team

Chelsea has to, to maintain EPL championship and to compete well in the FA Cup, League Cup and the CL.  I think they also want Alexis Sanchez, which seems like a good fit in the club.

As for being favorites in the CL, I doubt it pretty much.  It's gonna be the usual suspects.  Barca, Real, Bayern.  you know how it is...

Yes, maybe Chelsea will not win the champion's League next season but the Conte project is just beginning and if it's going to buy other top players in 2 years it will be ready to compete for the champion's victory.
At this moment Chelsea already has 2 of the strongest players in the world: Hazard and Kanté. For me Chelsea must buy a very strong defender (Bonucci), and a top striker.

After yesterday's easy double-up, I try an easy double-up today too:

Camerun vs Australia: Both teams to try to qualify must absolutely win this match.                            DOUBLE CHANCE 12 at quote@1.30
Chile vs Germany: I expect a very balanced match with a few goals (most likely a draw for 0-0 or 1-1). UNDER 3,5 goals    at quote@1.55

Amazing, Lewis Hamilton(32 years old) said yesterday that there is a possibility to retire from the F1 at the end of this season.
He has a contract with the Mercedes until 2018 but there is a clause that allows him to leave the Mercedes in 2017.
He said he wanted to be remembered as a great pilot like Ayrton Senna.

I think he will hardly retire so soon, and I would not be surprised if one day he will drive the Ferrari

RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig will be able to participate in the next Champions League despite both being part of the common property Red Bull.
The rules seemed to deny participation to both teams, but the Fifa commission decided to admit both teams

RB Leipzig isn't going to qualify anyways.
RB Salzburg has chances, but group stage tops.

Lol, what?  Didn't Leipzig already qualify for CL football by way of finishing second in the Bundesliga?  If you mean to go further than the group stages than yes, that's a maybe, but they do have a good team and lots of RB money back them.  I'd say they have a good chance to reach the KO stages, unless they draw the dreaded group of death of course.

Yes, the Rb Leipzig is already qualified for groups!

That's what I was asking about.  You said that 'RB Leipzig isn't going to qualify anyways', your words.  Look at the bolded quote above made by you.

Quote
Surely it will have a difficult group because it has a very low ranking. The Rb Leizpig can be the loose cannon of the next champion's league

RB Leipzig, low ranking?  This does not compute.  How do you think will they by drawn in a difficult group?  It's draw if I'm not mistaken so there's no saying which group they're getting into.  And Leipzig are playing well enough to get them to the KO stages judging from their performance last season.  They got more points than Dortmund in case you didn;t know.

I have never said that RB Leizpig is not qualified for groups.
"RB Leipzig is not going to qualify anyways.
RB Salzburg has chances but group stage tops " is the post of another user (iluvbitcoins)

RB Leipzig has a low coefficient because he has never participated in European cups.

This is the ranking of the teams already qualified at the next champion's league (I did not include the winning teams of the major championships)

Barcelona (ESP)              151.999
Atlético Madrid (ESP)       142.999
Paris Saint-Germain (FRA) 126.333
Borussia Dortmund (GER) 124.899
Manchester City (ENG)     100.192
Porto (POR)                      98.866
Manchester United* (ENG) 95.192
Tottenham Hotspur (ENG)  77.192
Basel (SUI)                       74.415
Anderlecht (BEL)               58.840
Roma (ITA)                      53.666
Beşiktaş (TUR)                 45.840
Feyenoord (NED)              23.212
RB Leipzig (GER)              15.899

Rb Leipzig in his group will have 1 team between: Real Madrid,Chelsea, Juventus, Benfica,Monaco, Spartak Moscow, Shaktar Donetsk
and 1 team between: Barcelona, At. Madrid, Psg,  Manchester City, Porto,Manchester United , Sevilla (or Napoli).

I did not include Bayern and Borussia Dortmund because German teams, and in groups there can not be "derby"
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 21, 2017, 01:57:28 PM
I think coming season will be a great season for football fans, Ac Milan have gathered a couple of good players. Juventus are waiting for some negotiating matter, Roma and Napoli are also trying to collect some players..so next year's league will be competitive in a high rate...

Yes that's what we are hoping for so that the serie A will regain its lost glory. Juventus are already a complete team, same as Napoli but we need international , Roma and AC Milan to add up to complement the competitiveness of the league.

Here are many top players who can be the protagonists of this trasfermarket session:  Cristiano Ronaldo, Verratti, Lewandowski, Mpabbč, Bonucci, Donnarumma, Belotti, Di Maria,  Aubameyang, Ibrahimovich, Diego Costa.

Many of these players have a cost of 100M or more!

Match between Spain and Italy, Death Group..
This match is going to confirm a team which will qualify directly from this group, I think this match will be fantastic, both team have in good form, but my bet will go with Italy... let's see, what will happen.

I agree with you, Italy looks more formidable at the moment and with Spain going through some sort of transformation might not be that sharp as we know them for so my bet will likewise go for Italy but I'm keeping a close watch on happening events because Spain can also pull a win.

Italy will hardly beat Spain at the Bernabeu.
Anyway I'm convinced that both teams will qualify for the World Cup. Historically, they are 2 of the strongest teams and it would be a shame not to see Italy or Spain at the World Cup.
Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, England and Uruguay have won at least 1 world cup and should always participate.

Yesterday Roger Federer against Sugita won his 1100th match of his career!
Only Jimmy Connors got more victories, exactly 1256.
Of other active players, Nadal got 849 wins, Djokovic 775.

Here are the odds updated after 7 races of 18 for the MotoGP:

Vinales     @1.85
Marquez   @3.60
Dovizioso  @5.50
V. Rossi    @8.00
Pedrosa    @9.50
Zarco      @50.00
Lorenzo   @66.00

5 riders struggling to win the world Championship! This year there is great balance and unpredictability in MotoGp.
Interesting the quote at @8.00 for V. Rossi.
I think he can return to victory in the next Gp of Assen and so this quote will drop a lot.

Russia vs Portugal:
Portugal is one of the favorites of this Cup Confederations, will surelu try to win, but the draw is a good result to qualify for the semi-finals.
DOUBLE CHANCE X2 at quote@1.30

Mexico vs New Zealand: Mexico must win but also score as many goals as they could be decisive for qualifying for the semi-finals (Russia has won 2-0 against the new Zealand). New Zealand in this match will try to score at least 1 goal.
OVER 2.5 goals at quote@1.55

It seems an easy double-up
