1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: First Time I Have Ever Seen This Happen With Altcoins/Bitcoins on: December 22, 2017, 03:10:31 PM
Up until yesterday night, I have never seen another lower priced altcoin or Bitcoin move higher in price to another higher priced altcoin or Bitcoin. For example, if ETC moved higher than BTC or LTC price move higher than ETC.

For the first time last evening, I witnessed a lower price altcoin in XRP move higher in price of NXT. XRP was trading at .98 and NXT was trading at 1.14. XRP started to gain momentum and traded past 1.20 while NXT went down to 1.05. I have never in the history of watching altcoin and bitcoin prices have I seen this.

Every altcoin and bitcoin has a competitor. BTC's competitor is ETC and ETC's competitor is LTC. Even the technology may be a little different it would be amazing to see LTC jump above in price to ETC or ETC price move higher than BTC.

Another first is seeing XRP price now below NXT after it moved higher in price.

Crazy world of Cryptocurrencies.

Ethereum classic? Wouldn't ever say it is competing Bitcoin even ETH isn't yet a true rival.
I checked coinmarketcap and I saw that almost all coins had a red colour..which is against your theory
1243  Economy / Speculation / Re: *POP* Goes the bubble! on: December 22, 2017, 03:01:30 PM
Oh boy, this is too great a Christmas gift.
I've been warning people for months.
All the worlds leading experts in the field have been warning everybody for months.

Biggest bubble in recorded history.
I don't even want to know how filthy rich a few have become with this and how millions have lost their savings! Hilarious!

The duck has spoken, and this is so comforting, the price gonna rise again in the next few days, it is proven!  Wink

I would also like to know, how much time do you need to become a Jr Member.
And how is activity calculated.
Only by your replies or also by reporting scam and other things?

Your activity = your posts capped to max 14 activities each period (= 2 weeks)
And no, only posts counts in your activity. (although the idea of giving reports some value could be interesting such as points or something similar like a specific title)

So if we hit the max, it will take 4+ weeks to get Jr Members. you have to work hard to be rewarded.
Cheers.

Here you can see when the periods start https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/htmlview?pli=1
A new period started yesterday so you have to wait another 2 periods to have at least 30 activities (14+14+ at least 2 activities from the 14 activities of the third period) to become a junior member.

If you keep posting regularly (min 14 posts per period) you will achieve it in January 16, 2018
1245  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: December 20, 2017, 07:43:34 PM
This seems to be a nice idea. However, I'm quite wondering how many people will be using it, since estimations can easily be done nowadays.

Well, I'm sure a lot of people will gladly use it especially those who are into Bitcointalk account selling business. I mean, can you actually estimate how much your Bitcointalk account worth? Which part of it that you think can be easily done?

The price isn't accurate from long time and most of people use it because it has several features such as knowing your potential activity, knowing how many weeks before getting the next rank, the address cited by you even if it is not yours...etc

Is there no way now to calculate my Potential Activity?
I was away from the forum for long, Can someone help me out with it?

Having headaches after long time working so I will just help you to calculate it
1- count how many periods you made at least 1 post in it, you can find the periods here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/htmlview?pli=1 (sheet 1 in order to see 2015 periods)

2- your potential activity is = number of periods multiplied by 14.

Are there any restrictions regarding picture links inside a post or thread if you're new to the forum?

No afaik, well i saw some links blurred but it was a suspicious one tho.
The only restriction is that you can't post directly an image.
1253  Economy / Speculation / Re: 🤖 Future of Trading - AI vs Humans the Prediction Challenge WIN 0.05 BTC 🤖 on: December 18, 2017, 05:02:24 PM

1254  Other / Meta / Re: Get Donator status by donating 10 BTC on: December 18, 2017, 04:55:27 PM
This is the one of the top Bitcoin communities and it would be great if there are more donors. If not, hopefully there are enough donations already to keep this forum running Grin

The forums don't rely anymore on donations. Ads replaced donations long time ago.
More and lower donations are suggested but not yet implemented since it isn't a priority.
1255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1,000 People Own 40 Percent of Bitcoin Market on: December 18, 2017, 12:20:30 AM
1,000 People Own 40 Percent of Bitcoin Market
Easy to understand why the price is volatile. Could collapse soon or rise really really high in the next 5 years.

It is always like that, in our world always a minority of rich people control the majority of the wealth. You will find the same aspect everywhere, economy, education, politics... Why should Bitcoin be different?
Socialistcoin couldn't be possible and survive and even if you distribute fairly every coin to all people, after few months or years, you will find a minority controlling it Wink
1256  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Potential Activity+Accnt Price+Btc addresses+Topics+Posts by Date/Duration on: December 18, 2017, 12:13:40 AM
Sorry for bumping an old topic but I would like to know if the site is functional or not after the cloudflare implementation?
1257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 17, 2017, 09:17:47 PM
Mother fucking transaction fees are getting out-of-hand.

Trying to move shit to Gemini for tonight's action, and shit be stalling out, yo.

Current fees estimated at ~343sat/byte for 60 min confirmation.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit.

Indeed, my brother paid 1/3 of a transaction as fees (sending from coinbase) which is kinda ridiculous.
Next year, buying a house (castle) will cost you the equivalent of a mustang as fees?  Tongue
1258  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: December 17, 2017, 09:10:33 PM
@achow101 The website has been down for a few days now. What is the reason, are you planning to make it work again any time soon?
website is down ? interesting.

Let's just repeat what was said before over and over... again...and again!
@achow101 : maybe a new update is required to avoid these kind of repeated questions...
what happen to the bitcointalk account price estimator ?
You can literally find the answer a few posts above yours. Why on world can't you do the minimum of research before asking questions that already have been answered multiple times?
Like InvoKing said: "What's wrong with you people, I will just quote what was said in the upper posts"

What's wrong with you people, I will just quote what was said in the upper posts
Suddenly the site is down, can you fix this please? It's already like a week or so on. Thank you.

Read the posts above you, achow can't do anything for the moment... Just wait for a solution from theymos or use papers and pens...
Theymos switched to Cloudflare and that's blocking basically all bots at this point in time. That's why the site is down now.

Unbelievable price movement and it is over our expectations tho
My next prediction is $19850  Smiley
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS STILL FAMOUS on: December 17, 2017, 01:51:01 PM
Don't think so. There is a lot to do. Bitcoin is fairly popular but larger population is still resistant to adopting it.

It isn't that easy for simple people to use Bitcoin, simple and easy to understand tutorials are required to avoid losing your money. I mean tutorials that should be largely distributed to the mass.
Today, for the first time i heard in the radio, people talking about Bitcoin and trying to explain its concept and the most used terms (mining, Blockchain, cryptocurrencies...).
