1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What micro games is best for you? on: August 21, 2023, 02:02:33 AM
What micro games works well on your gambling style?
The casino games I always play are live dealer games and maybe slots because I enjoy the small talks with the live dealers and the different game modes offered by the software providers. With slots, you always get new games to try and play, but the downside is the betting limits set by the providers. I used to try to aim for those big wins, but eventually, I stopped chasing because it's starting to feel like a chore when it takes a long time before you hit something decent again.

Nice to see a snooker question this round, I don't follow it as much but i've watched a few matches before since I remember a couple of familiar names mentioned in the question.

The switch-up on the multiple favorites question (question Cool is nice since we always have it as an all-in-one question in the previous rounds. Now it's tricky and punishing as a h2h question.  Wink

The Gamers8 tournament ended earlier today after Vitality edged out ENCE in the decider map. I thought this would be ENCE's series to win because they looked clean throughout the tournament compared to Vitality, but Zywoo went ham after they lost the first map.

The LCK playoffs also finished with Gen G sweeping T1 in the grand finals. I would've thought it'll be a 3-2 win by Gen G, but T1 looked like a different team in this series.

Azure Ray is already waiting for the Finals. They will face either Team Zero or a rematch of the upper bracket finals, Xtreme Gaming.
I'm rooting for Xtreme Gaming to win the lower bracket finals, so we'd have decent odds for the grand finals.  Wink
1244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: August 21, 2023, 12:06:33 AM
I’m still tracking all my human error that keeps me giving a regular losses when I’m on this condition. Do you have something like this?
I also have specific scenarios that happen frequently when i'm losing, and the one that annoys me the most is cashing out by trying to hit the withdrawal threshold. I still had a bunch of success reaching the minimum withdrawal before, but recently, i've been getting more losses. I don't track most of the losing scenarios that I experience, but I can easily recall them because of how often they happen in my sessions, and one of the main factors why it occurs is the greediness that I get during certain moments.

1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth it to teach older people about bitcoin technology? on: August 19, 2023, 12:18:03 AM
I'd say it's a hit or miss because some people can't be bothered about learning Bitcoin and the technology behind it. At the very least, it's better to inform them (if they're the ones to start the initiative) in the simplest way possible because there are people who always have the wrong idea about Bitcoin now that it's only getting more and more popular.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: August 18, 2023, 11:33:26 PM
Later today, I have the Faze m2 handicap and this should be their map pick since the lower-seeded teams are always given the first map pick.
I underestimated VP's performance on the CT side and they were also impressive against G2 earlier today.

The LCK playoffs are back later today and we have the lower bracket match between T1 and KT. It was close last time in the upper bracket and we might see another tight series based on how T1 is turning it up in the playoffs. After KT disappointed me in their last meeting, i'm starting to think they're bottling in terms of performance. That said, I got T1 @2.05 to win the series because of the value and whoever wins here secures a spot for the Worlds and doesn't have to play in the regional qualifiers against HLE.

If the boy is that interested in continuing to gamble, then i'd suggest creating a spreadsheet and listing every transaction and bet he made as proof that he's a responsible gambler. I know stopping would be for the best, but i'd assume he won't stop because even if he says yes, there could still be a chance for him to gamble secretly. Having a spreadsheet and tracking his every gambling move gives him at least the awareness because you never know when he'll start to make mistakes and possibly develop an addiction.

Im not really following SEA region anymore apart from Talon but Boom Esport totally went from one of the best in SEA region to one of the worst team around, pretty sucks for them
Boom lost their firepower after three of their best players left and moved with the teams like Blacklist and Bleed. They've done a few roster changes recently but it still doesn't look promising.

I took another huge risk bet for these two
I also had Heroic -1.5, but they fumbled on Vertigo and had some sloppy T rounds in the second half.

I'm going with ENCE on the next series as I think the bookies are hyping Cloud9 too much with their current form when ENCE hasn't been slowing down.

I hope they extend this MOTD (match of the day) promo since it's great to see the upcoming daily specials and the exact time when they'll be up on the Sportsbet special page.

I placed a small bet for tomorrow's daily special between Forest and Sheffield, both teams don't look good but I think Forest will get the win and score at least two goals assuming they still play great football at home.

Atleast the Womens World Cup match for your corners bet hit!
Thanks  Cheesy I was lucky they switched up the pace in the second half.
1251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling discussion effect on: August 18, 2023, 12:45:38 AM
What’s the effect of gambling discussion here to you? I’m thinking to quit participating on signature campaign that involves gambling discussion in an event that my gambling activities is increasing above my normal habit.
I've answered a similar question before, and my answer was that it affected me positively because I probably gained more than I expected here in the gambling section. I also had a few bad experiences, but it's not at the point of stopping for good because i've already learned from my past mistakes.

I hope you'll eventually find a solution to control your urges because things can get ugly if it gets out of hand, and it's not easy to find another signature campaign nowadays that doesn't have a gambling post requirement.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 17, 2023, 10:50:45 PM
I also had Vitality -1.5 against Navi, but I caught the live odds at a bad time since they were already up by double digits in the first map before winning 16-2 at the end.

It got pretty close in Nuke, but in the second half, that single miscommunication from Navi gave Vitality to pull away and close the series.

So many games in Dota 2 section but I had no idea the TI qualifiers will begin today. Funny or not , what is Execration doing here ? We learned from them that they are not capable to play high tier Dota if they play outside SEA. They had 3 majors runs this year and all of them were a failure Sad  because besides Talon , SEA teams are really having a hard time to play Dota.
Unfortunately, that's how the qualifier system goes the more points a team has, the better seeding they get in the qualifier. The only good SEA team aside from Talon is Bleed and that's why i'm hoping for them to take the TI spot from the SEA qualifier.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you will do? on: August 17, 2023, 10:02:34 PM
If i'm in a bad losing situation, i'll keep playing until I lose all my bankroll because I can always reduce my betting size to the lowest amount, and in sports betting, you don't always get the same opportunity most of the time. I prefer taking that opportunity first and then i'll have a short break because i'm also participating in prediction pools and having a small bet on the side encourages me to keep up with the different leagues that I need to follow. I would've voted for the break if i'm playing casino games since you can always go back and it's still the same game.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: August 17, 2023, 02:07:42 PM
Bet on all four of the Gamers8 CS:GO matches yesterday and the first two ended in the 2:0.
I had a bet on both Navi&ENcE to end the same way but ended up losing the bets.
My only bet was on Navi, but i'm glad I avoided taking the handicap because it's hard to trust any team on the first day.

Later today, I have the Faze m2 handicap and this should be their map pick since the lower-seeded teams are always given the first map pick.

Noticed while scrolling through the livestreams of the matches there was a another Gamers8 tournament but for StarCraft.
Is this right? That old game that mostly had a heavy following in the Korean tournaments is making a comeback into the ESports Arena once more?
Isn't the game 30 years old now from the old WarCraft days, am I right?
That Starcraft tournament was two weeks ago, but i'm not sure if their competitive scene is making a comeback because I regularly see Starcraft odds being offered by the sportsbooks.

1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: August 17, 2023, 01:21:33 AM
Did anyone watch the CSGO matches earlier from the Gamers8 tournament? Most of the series are 2-0 wins from the favorites, but the round differential is closer than the bookies suggest. I guess the single-elimination format of the tournament encourages the teams to perform like their careers are on the line.

I also watched a bit of the playoff matches from the VCT Champions. Unexpected to see LOUD advance and send Fnatic down to the LB and PRX having a shaky start against FUT in the first half of the first map before taking over the series.

China Qualifier will begin in a few hours. The matches are not that exciting yet though. It seems almost all the matches later will be one-sided leaning on the heavy favorites: Aster, IG, Xtreme, and Azure.
I agree the next round is where it gets interesting to watch since we'll potentially see a matchup between Aster vs XG and AR vs IG in the other bracket.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What resources do you have for members who may be dealing with addiction? on: August 16, 2023, 11:31:27 PM
I'd recommend the Problem Gambling subreddit, it's where problematic gamblers share their story about their gambling problems and one of the many ways to let it all out if you don't have someone to talk or discuss it with. In other words, it's similar to the support group thread that Oshosondy linked but for Reddit users.

Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'll see a pinned message about gambling addiction here in the gambling section because most of the pinned threads here are always about the forum rules.
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dreaming That I'm Playing In A Casino, Do You Have One, on: August 16, 2023, 10:59:35 PM
I've only experienced it once, but mine was in an online casino because I used to play slots and other casino games frequently during that time. I wouldn't mind having a dream like that again because I remember winning something big in that dream.  Grin

I'm not that concerned if I get these dreams multiple times because I already have rules and limitations for my gambling activities and i'm aware if i'm going too far.
1258  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Is there a site where you can withdraw without deposit? on: August 16, 2023, 05:51:52 PM
It's impossible to find one nowadays because most casinos usually update their rules and they've probably experienced taking losses from users who haven't made any deposits to their casino. You might find one in the future but eventually, they'll change their rules to avoid unnecessary losses. As the other post has mentioned, your best option is to head over to the games and rounds section and participate in every single one of the promotions and giveaways you can see until you win one of the many prizes.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 16, 2023, 01:07:22 AM
The Marseille daily special was close to hitting, but Vitinha's goal was overturned during ET.

Speaking of the Women's World Cup, today's daily special is the semi-finals match between England vs Australia. Both specials don't look that worth it when the match is close to a toss-up, and the deal breaker for me is the team totals because the current totals are so low (over/under 2). But I do have this single bet on the corners, even if it's a potentially low-scoring match I can still expect the total hitting at least 10 based on their previous results.

1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Predictions and Trends for Crypto Gambling in 2024 on: August 16, 2023, 12:08:51 AM
I'm confused about the fork part, i've seen a few decentralized sportsbooks, but I can't easily say they're forks when they don't share a lot of similarities with most of the centralized sportsbooks. It'll be good if a crypto gambling fork means we'll see more non-KYC sportsbooks because most of the top sportsbooks are currently in between, where they don't require KYC but can still force their players to submit it if needed. Tbh, I think we're going the other way around with more gambling sites encouraging their players to get verified.
