Really disappointed I haven’t seen any Bruce Lee or Street Fighter edits of this video yet.

Whenever I see an ICO...

^I think people just like attaching themselves to popular historical threads. They don’t always have useful input.

Merit is easily abused by those with multiple accounts. As such, there will be bad actors with artificially inflated scores. Anyone who watched the first couple of days of merit distributions witnessed that very obviously. That’s why you should take merit with a grain of salt. Some of the most disrespectful and useless members of this forum have been near the top of the merit list. However, it’s also a fun way to reward strangers for thoughtful posts, so it’s a worthy trade-off in my opinion.

Imagine ignoring the President telling you, “That’s enough” and forcefully denying a young woman White House staff member trying to do her job. Then complaining about it all over the media when you’re not allowed back. https://i.redd.it/mdhg79vqkyw11.gif

So long as you secure your account and use a trusted escrow, the risk is very minimal.

So long as we’re praising Hal, his original tweets on Bitcoin display how many steps ahead of everyone else he was thinking.

You want theymos to create a new auction section for you because you don’t want to use the existing one?

Best scam ever seen this one, because they are slow scamming.
Really? It was the most obvious scam I’d seen in a while. The fact aTriz who was partnered with Lauda at the time was involved in advertising it should have been a major clue.

So are there different campaign managers involved or are they all under the same campaign manager? Who is behind the advertisements? Are they using their own funds to pay them, or user funds from an ICO or something? Follow the money friend...

Some threads are more than one page, and some aren’t. If a thread has more than 20 posts, it will have more than one page, and thus an option to view all as well as a specific page. When threads reach a certain length, the all feature is no longer available as it would be a burden on both the reader and website. You may even notice an additional cloud flare step when clicking all, so it isn’t used intentionally or otherwise to ddos the forum.

I assume all other mods then have every thread they have ever started be self moderated right? I assume theymos' threads must be self moderated as well right?
There is no need to make assumptions. This thread isn’t about administrators or changing historical threads. It’s about conflict of interest, how it is perceived, and if rules should be put in place to address it. These rules would be to protect moderators from attacks that could arise from misinterpretations of their motives.

I was able to get some good ones.
What are you going to do with them?

Been over 30 minutes and still no confirmations on my issued assets. Is there a way to lookup what address owns an asset? I'm curious if someone else has since registered them, as they're now showing as in use. Does that mean someone else has since confirmed the asset, or does it count unconfirmed asset issuance as already in use?
http://ravencoin.asset-explorer.net/Damn, looks like a squatter registered my asset while it was waiting to confirm. A bit of a sour first taste on asset issuance, but I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles in free markets. Whoever controls the address RCLARNGwLwz1APjbLs3wHaDZiP4nvcBA5A, feel free to reach out to me. Be sure to include a signed message from your address, as I will likely consider anyone who doesn't an attempted scammer.

I feel like a golden opportunity was missed to name the successor of 2Pac as Makaveli.

Moderators can't make make up their own rules even in their own threads. If they want to do that then the thread should be self-modded.
Just so I understand, are you saying they should be allowed to moderate their own threads without the self-moderated warning so long as they don't make up their own rules?
|

Could you also identify the signature campaign managers that are allowing this to occur? It seems they are the responsible party rewarding these users for their abuse of the forum.

Reports should probably just be left in the queue or 'ignored' if that's going to happen though (with some exceptions).
I don't understand the point of leaving reports in the queue. Seems like they should be acted on or deleted. There's quite a few cases where I'm not sure whether to take action. Leaving the report in the queue (e.g. when you're not completely sure and want to think about it) or "ignoring" (removing from your own queue but not from everyone elses) it potentially allows other mods to act upon the report. After a certain length of time it should be clear that no action will be taken though right? Why not delete them? What is the benefit of leaving them unhandled perpetually?

I'm curious what people think about Moderators moderating their own threads. If they would like this ability, should they start "Self-moderated" threads like everyone else? If they don't and have issues with posts in their threads, should they report them like everyone else to allow another Moderator to address the situation or is it okay to self-moderate threads without the warning? Seems like a conflict of interest situation. Should there be rules in place to address this?
