12462  Other / Meta / Re: top usage hours on the forum on: April 22, 2016, 11:25:43 AM
This forum is visited by people from around the globe so it is not possible that some particular point of time it has more users but I think lot of users get online on weekend for long hours
Nonsense. Your statement could only make sense if the forum's userbase was evenly distributed over the globe. This is obviously not the case. Additionally, there is a thing called peak time (there is no reason for the forum not to have one). Look it up.
12463  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appealing - BetBTC on: April 22, 2016, 10:09:52 AM
ban evasion doubles the duration of the ban. perma-ban because evasion is done when they evaded too many times (afaik).
I disagree. There obviously isn't a general rule for it, but usually a ban envasion will cause a permanent ban. In those cases, it is well deserved anyways.

OP: If your issue has been resolved, you should lock the thread.

12465  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Neki dobar altcoin u zadnje vrijeme? on: April 22, 2016, 09:01:59 AM
Ma sve ok, kuzim ja sto ti hoces nama reci.

I sta sa time? Nista. Kvaliteta je uvijek imala prednost pred kvantitetom.
12466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption and it's future. on: April 22, 2016, 07:18:42 AM
I still wonder as to why people keep creating threads that are indirectly just baseless speculating.

If bitcoin adoption happens for worldwide transaction and business goods purchasing means what will happen?
That means that Bitcoin has become a global currency. Nothing special; you could say "goal reached" at that point.

Then what governments will do?
Nobody really knows, and those that do write something in regards to it are just speculating.

Halving is the main key present So wait for that go to Skyrocket...
No, it isn't.
12467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent Price Bump on: April 22, 2016, 07:15:59 AM
Such a pleasant place to post
Being nice is not necessary.
As for segwit, I'm still not sure if I want to agree or disagree with it. But that shouldn't be in this section, as this is speculation.
There's nothing really to disagree with it. All (or the majority) of the developers are 'fond' of Segwit. Regardless of whether you agree, or disagree with it, it will be merged.

EDIT: they still don't accept bitcoin but apparently they are officially doing the groundwork. ref: https://redd.it/4fuk6c
There is no official announcement from Valve, so do not use the word 'official'.
12468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent Price Bump on: April 21, 2016, 11:32:43 PM
Segwit going live soon is a legit reason for buying coins... as is steam users gearing up.
Either you are talking about a very dumb group or people or I just don't understand the point behind this. Code submitted for merge != Segwit going live. We always knew that Segwit was coming, there was Segnet. Nothing special. It will most likely be activated sometime after the halving. There are still things to do.

I get the whole use the "speculation thread"... didn't think the forum would be that anal about a misplaced thread.
That section exists for a reason; to keep pointless threads such as this one away from this section. It will be moved shortly.
12469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent Price Bump on: April 21, 2016, 10:59:58 PM
1) Segwit is not live.
2) Stop making threads in the wrong section.

Steam BTC acceptance
I was not even aware of this. After doing some research, it also seems like Steam does not currently accept Bitcoin. They stated that they will do so in the future.

12473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first confirmation is taking way to Effing long!!! on: April 21, 2016, 09:12:12 PM
My friend recently suggested to use altcoins like dogecoins if we want 2 minute confirmations. But practically not possible to consider this as a solution.
It comes down to the security and orphans at that point. That 2 minute confirmation has incomparable security to a single Bitcoin 10 minute confirmation. In addition, the orphan rates become higher the faster the block interval is.

1) Mods don't have access to this kind of information.
2) This information is useless.
3) Anyone who posts here is mostly like going to be making random guesses.

Update: Rephrased post.
12475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first confirmation is taking way to Effing long!!! on: April 21, 2016, 08:13:50 PM
Hello sir, thanks for the information. The statement I made was based on my sole observations and the problems I faced. Earlier blocks used to be mined faster or maybe just that I was lucky.
There is no known solution for this 'problem'. Basically, finding a block also includes a bit of a 'luck' factor. Due to this, there are times where there are very short 'bursts' of blocks, and interval in where there is no block for e.g. 1 hour.
12476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unlicensed Exchangers on: April 21, 2016, 06:30:29 PM
it's not about Bitcoin. It's about that an exchanger is doing financial transactions. They are receiving money from customers for doing a FINANCIAL service. You need license  for a such thing in all the countries. There is NO grey zone.
I don't think these things work the way you think in a lot of places. For example, for withdrawing money in a country where Bitcoin is in the grey area I don't have to pay any kind of tax.

Example: you need a financial license to trade gold even it's virtual gold. Gold is not money... Smiley
I need to have a license to trade my FarmVille coins?  Roll Eyes
12477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unlicensed Exchangers on: April 21, 2016, 04:58:14 PM
All the countries have laws regarding to financial transactions and they require a financial license for the Bitcoin exchangers. It doesn't matter if you are in USA or China.
If Bitcoin isn't defined as money in their country, exactly why would they need such a license? Bitcoin is still in the 'grey zone' for a lot of places.
