If you are planning to start an escrow service you can offer it here on the forum but you must be a trusted forum member before you can offer this service. I think OP made a mistake constructing his post. He is probably looking to use the services of the mentioned escrow site and not offer an escrow service of his own. That is why he mentions that the seller told him about that site. @OP The site was created 38 days ago! It is new and I doubt anyone here knows much about it. If you want a trusted escrow go to the services section and search for members offering escrow services. Without advertising any names you can find several trusted individual offering what you need there. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0Pay attention to their trust rating and correct way to contact them.

@jademaxsuy This is only available for Newbies and Jr. Member ranks. I have no plans to expend it.
@welovedcrypto To reduce the possibility of abuse. This is only meant for the two lowest ranks who might have problems getting their first couple of merits because their posts are getting overlooked.

Who do you guys think is gonna be next Juve manager? I got 20 bucks says it's Sarri. The bet is open to anybody trusted in the forum. If none of our picks win, it's a draw. Quote and reply if anybody wants to bet. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You should know that Manchester City has yesterday officially filled an appeal to CAS for UEFAs investigation into their alleged non-compliance with UEFAs Financial Fair Play. If City gets a ban to participate in next seasons UCL it is very unlikely that Guardiola will stay. That is what Momblano was talking about for the last couple of weeks. https://www.facebook.com/AroundTurin/photos/a.588199671267972/2333299233424665/?type=3&theater

...I don't even see news Juve is unsatisfied with Allegri's management with the team. Allegri and Juve will part ways. That has been decided and is final since the middle of May! Here is one official source that confirms that. Juventus and the Tuscan tactician will go their separate ways after five successful years and 11 trophies won. https://www.juventus.com/en/news/news/2019/thank-you-allegri.php

bob, well i do log into my ledger live account a few times but i do not connect my nano ledger to my laptop that many times. So you mean for the ledger live update, always update it when necessary.
But in the OP example, he isn't talking about that right? He is talking about the firmware for the nano ledger itself right? Thus if he did not connect the ledger to his computer for a long time, this is what caused it? But the firmware update would be shown in the ledger live or previously the ledger manager right? I had to update the firmware 2 times i believe total with my nano ledger
You can update your Ledger Live app without connecting your Ledger device - YES. To update the firmware you need to connect the device and click on Account Manager. You need to have the device connected to be able to see the Ledger Account Manager. I don't think you can see the firmware version without it.

You are using an outdated version of Electrum. You will not be able to connect to Electrum servers with version 3.2.3. The newest version is 3.3.6. Download it from the official site and verify the signatures before using it.
The seeds words are presented to you when you create the wallet. They are not saved in your Electrum app. I am not sure what you mean with 'I shuffled different paper copies'.
Do you have any bitcoins in the wallet that you don't have the seed for? If not I suggest you create a new one, take note of your seed, store it in a safe place and start over.

I have thought that electrum is really a safe wallet. I realized now that everything online is hackable. Electrum itself wasn't hacked. The wallet is not compromised. It is the users who clicked on phishing links and downloaded fake and/or infected wallets. The biggest problem is that these messages came from the servers within Electrum itself and the users trusted and clicked on the links leading them to the fake wallets. Once that was discovered, Electrum prevented the possibility to send messages in this way. That is why it is imperative to check the download links for Electrum and verify the signatures of the downloaded apps before using them.

Can't the hacker delete the sent PMs from the user's account? When they can send PMs without the knowledge of the user, they can easily delete their own sent PMs as well as we can do now manually. At the moment they could but in the 2nd part of his post CryptopreneurBrainboss says: How about the option of making the "save a copy to my outbox" a default setting that can't be changed and message saved in outbox can only be deleted after certain number of days like 30 days period. This could be useful for the current forum but once the forum switches to the new software, hopefully with a 2FA option, it would no longer be needed.

A new Legendary. Pmalek, finally hit that rank today, and become the 14th self-made Legendary. Thanks for the mention. But actually I went from Hero to Legendary which wouldn't make me a self-made Legendary but instead a self-made Hero of some sort. 545 earned merits instead of the 1000+ that is needed to be called a self-made Legendary. I made that mistake myself a few weeks ago thinking the same but a user corrected me in saying that self-made Legendaries are those users that reach Legendary rank from Newbie rank.

How exactly did you send the bitcoins to the 3EEJFjZURxShNr2AoJtbfcvCB749yzP7LP address? Did you copy/paste that address by mistake when you tried to send to the other mentioned address in your post? The 3EEJFjZURxShNr2AoJtbfcvCB749yzP7LP address has been mentioned to be connected to an email scam where the attacker claims to have hacked a users computer and recorded him over his webcam. You then get instructed to send money to the attacker and in return he will delete the info he has on you. So how exactly did you get that address? You might have been infected with a clipboard virus that changes your copied address to the address of a hacker/scammer. You can read more about the above address being mentioned here: https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/ajppaw/new_bitcoin_phishing_scam_and_a_question/

I am always sceptical when I read guaranteed X amount every month or year especially in the crypto industry. Without investigating too much I checked the domain on whois and the site has been around since 2016. At least it is not a brand new site created to grab as much as possible and as soon as possible.

Having an option like that would only make sense if the option can't be turned off. If a hacker manages to gain access to an account and un-tick the option for sending a notification via email when a PM is sent we are back to square one.
But in that case we will encounter the problem that LoyceV highlighted. Possibly getting 1000 emails and notifications of sent PMs.
The best option I think is having all sent PMs automatically go to the Outbox folder like CryptopreneurBrainboss suggested.

There is reddit already if you badly need an app that discusses crypto. The OP is asking for an official Bitcointalk app, not one for reddit. I also agree with the previous posts and this is probably not a priority for the admins. I don't really see the benefits in browsing and writing on the forum from my smartphone. Checking the occasional thread from time to time is OK but I would never make that my standard way of accessing and posting on the forum.

I registered, now I can not log into my account, wtf? Never had any issues with logging in. Are you maybe using a VPN, proxy or other ways to mask your original IP? That might be the reason you are not able to log in. Try without a VPN.

Hi, what would happen if I send coins to my Ledger Nano S and accidentally reset the device.
Would I be able to use the same seed/word combination to recover the device and my coins? Yes, you can always reset the device if your seed words are correct. Just make sure you have the correct words, spelling, sequence etc. After resetting you will have to reinstall all the wallets for your balance to reappear within the Ledger Live app.

@bobq If you are concerned with security why use Windows in the first place? Switch to linux. Theoretically they can do the same for your other financial information or private data, why would they do that for your crypto only? That option is gone anyway if you use a hardware wallet where the seed words have never been saved on your PC or been uploaded to the Internet in any way.

It seems you got hacked, phished or got infected by some malware that gained access to your Gatehub wallet. Gatehub sent you an email to inform you that they noticed unusual activity on your account, probably new IP addresses logging on or big amounts being transferred out of your account. Why do you believe that Gatehub is behind the hack, as you are calling them a scam?
You should scan your computer for viruses and malware and even reinstall your OS to be 100% safe. Try to remember if you downloaded anything unusual just before your account was emptied, clicked on unknown links etc.
And like the previous user wrote, consider moving your thread to the altcoin section as this is not a bitcoin related topic.

No don't call the above posted number OP. Electrum doesn't have a help desk. No idea what service that is for. The user who posted the number - Gloria4u has negative trust so be cautious.

Yes, you can hack a trezor and extract all 24 words Do you care to elaborate on that maybe? Where did you read or hear about Trezor wallets getting hacked and seed words being extracted? I did read an article a while ago published by Kaspersky it is possible to gain access to the seed using a hacking technique called voltage glitching. More about that here: Source: https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/hardware-wallets-hacked/25315/Using a hacking technique called voltage glitching (applying lowered voltage to a microcontroller, which causes funny effects in the chip) they switched Trezor One’s chip state from “no access” to “partial access,” which allowed them to read the chip’s RAM, but not the flash storage. After that they found out that when the firmware upgrade process is started, the chip places the cryptographic seed into RAM to retain it while the flash is being overwritten. In this manner, they managed to get all memory contents. Finding the cryptographic seed in this dump turned out to be no problem; it was stored in RAM unencrypted, in the form of a mnemonic phrase (meaning actual words instead of random number) that was easy to spot. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.kasperskydaily.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F92%2F2019%2F01%2F10073034%2Fhardware-wallets-hacked-trezor-pwned.jpg&t=663&c=8XFbfqQ6GS_Ajw)

Njemci su u Meti opet pokrenuli zahtjev da im se vrati Mod u lokalnu sekciju. Mislim da možemo na osnovu ishoda tog zahtjeva zaključiti da li ima smisla da i mi tražimo nešto slično.
