Once BTC was sent to escrow (a few days ago) this seller became unresponsive. I have tried PM'ing them with no luck, and have left negative trust. The user (link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2355564) has signed in but ignored all messages. As a result, I will be refunding the buyer in a short period of time. I wanted to make this public, as this is happening way too frequently lately and people should be aware. I'm seeing this more and more so I may start making more of them public and will be more diligent in leaving appropriate feedback. Be safe out there. Scammers will claim to accept escrow in an attempt to garner your trust in hopes they can talk you into NOT using it.

Trading doesn't have to be stressful. You just need to have your idea about what something is worth and why. If it is undervalued, you buy and wait for the market to realize it's real value. When it hits the valuation you thought it was worth, you sell. Really simple. Sometimes you are wrong, and you learn. Sometimes you are right, and you make a lot of money.
It is only when you throw money at assets with no idea what it's real value is that things become stressful.
Here is a trick I learned reading some Warren Buffett literature a long time ago. When you learn about an asset, don't ever look at the price. Look at competitors, the overall market, the fundamentals, the prospects, etc. Then say in your mind, this asset is worth X amount of dollars. Then you look at the number of outstanding shares (or total number of coins that will be produced) and divide your valuation by this number. That should make it very easy to determine if you believe something is undervalued or overvalued. When I used this trick on Bitcoin back in 2011, I determined it should be worth $4,000 each. Since that time we've seen things like forks adding value, new use cases, and acceptance as an investment asset class, all of which I didn't originally take into account in my valuation. Thus, I now believe that Bitcoin is undervalued, and will see another explosion in price once the inflation rate is halved once again. Since I believe this, I own BTC. I will likely not sell a majority of my BTC investment until A) the price hits $200,000 per coin, or B) something about the fundamentals has changed. With this view I have never been stressed about the Bitcoin price. I just wait until the market sees what I see, or until I learn something new. Whether the price is $5,000 or $10,000 tomorrow really makes no difference to me at all in my equation, so there is no need to stress over it whatsoever.

Why are you torturing yourself? I saw that there are users who very want to become merit source and they would gladly agree for this job. But I don't understand those who doing what they doesn't like.
I enjoy contributing. It isn’t torture. Defending my efforts is an annoyance, but I’m happy to oblige when I am able.

unless the person giving merit has read every single thread and each post and has foto-graphic memory this will happen .
To find a copy-paste, you don't need to have superhuman abilities, just use search engine adequately. If someone is copy-pasting responses, then moderators should discover this and ban them. Rather than criticize those doing a largely thankless job, report the post to those being paid to handle the issue so it can be removed and the user banned. We are all needed to keep this forum clean.

it keeps disconnecting though so I sent it back to kano.is for now - I will try with another miner later and set it up to point to both nodes - If I recall there were only two to choose from.
Yes, there’s a US and a European node. If you let me know what node you’re having issues with, I can request they restart it for you. Perhaps that may resolve the issue.

I am using a single S9 with bitmains software - it only did it 3 times so far, if it continues, I may move it back to another pool. I have quite a few miners I move around. To some degree, I do not mind supporting decentralization though it would be nice if the payout it is currently showing was real - I would move all my miners here lol. My miner is up to like 0.00072248 BTC already after less than an hour. You’re likely referencing the expected amount should a block be found. It could be a long wait with the current p2pool state. Make sure you are aware of the odds of finding a block. You may want to try using a different NastyPool node, or setting the other node as a backup, so if you did drop from one node, you’d resume with the other. It’s never a good idea to rely on a single pool regardless of what pool that is.

is this pool still active? I configured one miner to it and it showed hashing in the antminer Miner Status screen for all of about 30 seconds and then went blank. my miner showed up on the ticker but shows 0 which makes sense as the miner stopped mining after less than a minute.
not as I typed this, it reconnected and started hashing again, then stopped again...
is this the norm with this pool?
NastyPool is still active and looking at the current user charts, I don’t see anything that appears out of the ordinary. What miner/software are you using? Also, you should be aware that mining on p2pool is very risky currently as the hashrate is quite low. It is possible that no blocks will be found for a period measuring in years. If supporting decentralization isn’t something you are willing to sacrifice reliable earnings for, you may want to consider another pool. At least until some issues with the currently splintered p2pool networks improve.

Now OgNasty is rated first in this TOP-200. Many hours of reading newbie posts trying to find legitimate posters. It’s a (mostly) thankless job, but I’m glad to help new users feel appreciated and improve their bitcointalk experience.

Developing a token and running an ICO project is not something you do for fun, there are so many shitcoins and if you don't want to end up with one of those you best have a y isn't idea and a plan to realize it.
A team should be the first step, and not just casual acquaintances but qualified individuals.
But to do this you need funds, even before you can start up an ICO.
I disagree with everything quoted here.

I try not to merit anyone who posts in the Altcoin Bounties section. I imagine nobody reviewing your post history would leave you a merit for that reason.

I really doubt anyone who calls others "faggots" has a good name anywhere. :/
I'm sure there are certain circles on the internet where that might not be true, but if he's going to include such epithets in his "expose" on the members he's listed, it's probably not going to reflect well on him. Indeed. You can see a whole list of people here who trust those who use such terms to describe others:

I spoke with the people at the Barrett-Jackson auction house today. While talking, I asked them this question. Their representative laughed at me and assured me that no owners would be permitted to bid on their own items. Did the Barrett-Jackson auction house representative tell you why owners wouldn't be permitted bidding? No. They were pretty dismissive and I would have felt foolish pressing the issue. Anyone could give them a call and ask for clarification. They aren't hard to find. OgNasty, we both know that half of the DT are inactive, been for years. It's not like they're going to come read this single case of wrongdoing, and it's not like they're going to remove Vod because of it. Vod has done much good for the forum, so is one wrongdoing worth it to nullify all that, in their eyes?
I would disagree about half of DT1 being inactive. It looks to me like only 1 member is inactive, and another hasn't signed in since May. I can't speculate on whether or not those who have added Vod to DT2 would consider this allegation to be enough to remove him. As stated, I'd recommend reaching out to the user that added him and ask. LIST OF THE "DT DOZEN" (trademark pending, j/k):

I spoke with the people at the Barrett-Jackson auction house today. While talking, I asked them this question. Their representative laughed at me and assured me that no owners would be permitted to bid on their own items. Barrett-Jackson is the most popular auctioneer I’ve ever heard of, so I think we can use them as a metric for what is or is not acceptable. As someone who has attended similar auctions dating as far back as the 80s, I would agree that this is the expectation of those involved.
Now that qualified experts have weighed in, the real issue here is whether or not Vod should be in DT2. I would recommend Anduck reach out to those who have added him for an explanation regarding this topic. However, since the feedback seems to be in line with expert opinion, the only thing left to really examine is how long after a misdeed it is appropriate to leave feedback. This is in my opinion the proper debate here.
