Bhuvi is ruled out of the ODI series against WI and this is not a good sign for team India as one of their main Bowlers will be out of the series and India will now have to look on other bowlers to pick wickets and contain the batsman .
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is plagued with injury all the time and even during the world cup he was injured as he had issues with his hamstrings if i am not wrong and it happens if you are not warming up well and if he was lazy on doing that then it will affect his career really bad, not sure what is the injury now but their top two bowlers are injured as there is no return date fixed for Bumrah as far as i know through media. Even with all these injury concerns from India i still consider them to win the series.

Bhuvaneswar played just two T20 matches so far in the Indian domestic season (and one of them was against the weak Manipur side). This is an issue with the Indian players. Once they get to play a few matches for the national side, they refuse to take part in the domestic tournaments. Especially after the injury, he should have used the domestic tournaments to get some match practice. I agree that the Indian domestic competitions are not as strong as those in Australia or England. But still, he should have played a few more matches.
12482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: December 14, 2019, 02:25:05 AM
John McAfee is right in the world of many senior  crypto , but that is not to say that all his predictions will be correct. I don't think Altar Coins will go into good position this month. Alter coins will take a lot of time to get into good positions.

Seriously? You believe that this joker is still trustworthy? Have you ever heard about ICOs such as Transcodium, Latium, Finacoin, Eristica and Nimbus? The chances are low, because most of these projects are dead. The common link for them is that McAfee promoted these projects (after charging $105,000 for a single tweet from his official twitter handle). And then there is the Mcafeecoin, which is his own ICO. You may not find many of these projects in coinmarketcap, because they don't even qualify for the listing there.
12483  Economy / Economics / Re: Greeks face heavy fines if they don't spend 30% of their income electronically on: December 14, 2019, 02:01:48 AM
Is this a joke? How can the government force something like this, when the people are already paying the income tax over their salaries? The tax rates in Greece remains one of the highest in the world, and now the government want to take away a part of the remainder as well. This will never be implemented successfully, and people will find loopholes to get around the system.
12484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 14, 2019, 01:38:29 AM
This isn't happening only with South Africa. There'll be politics in each and every country's cricket board. In countries like India there is politics, but they create reasons and give retirement ans at times keeps players on rest. From India we can see large number of players getting their names on teams like UAE, Malaysia, Singapore and so on. One such player of India making big records from another country is Muthiah Muralidaran.

I am surprised that you came up with the name of Muthiah Muralidaran. He is a pure-Sri Lankan cricketer with no connection to India. His ancestors migrated to Sri Lanka many hundreds of years back and you can't label such people as foreigners to that country. He can't be compared to players such as Eoin Morgan, Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes and Imran Tahir.
May be @Duzter is living hundred of years back and he is here through time machine so please don't mind this and enjoy your weekend. Wink Cheesy

LOL... You don't know how much Sri Lankans are proud of Muttiah Muralitharan. He was the legend who put Sri Lanka on the cricketing map. The greatest player Sri Lanka ever produced. If you talk against Muralitharan in Sri Lanka, then for sure you will not come out in good shape. When Ross Emerson and Darell Hair noballed him for chucking in 1995, the entire country came out in his support.

And after all this, if you say that Murali is an Indian, and not Sri Lankan, then the only advice I'd give to you is to stay away from any Sri Lankan citizen (for your own safety). Cricket was something that united different races and ethnicities of Sri Lanka, despite the civil war. And this is the same sport which divided (and continuing to divide) various races in South Africa. Two countries... two different outcomes.

I agree with you mate, I was saying that Strac should be playing when the Ashes series was on while others in here were saying that he hasn't been in good form. Strac is in Australia's top 2 fast bowlers and should be playing every match. It showed once again why he is one of the best fast bowlers in the world as he has ripped through New Zealand. I was thinking that Australia were taking too long at batting but it looks like it might pay off as they have New Zealand on the ropes right now and surely we won't see another Australia victory with an innings and runs.

Starc and Cummins are the top bowlers for Australia right now and it was surprising to see the selectors dropping Starc in favor of bowlers such as Hazlewood and Pattinson during the Ashes series. Although I don't have anything against either Hazlewood or Pattinson, these bowlers lack the raw pace that Starc possess. And you need 1-2 such bowlers in your squad, to intimidate the opposition.

The match is not as one sided as the one against Pakistan. But even then, I won't be surprised if New Zealand loses this match by an innings. They are still trailing by more than 300 runs and the last recognized pair is at the crease. Very disappointing from New Zealand, after their series victory against one of the big 3 sides (England) last month.
12486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 13, 2019, 04:22:51 AM
In T20 even the best bowlers can go for plenty of runs, and you can't really blame them. If it is 90% skill and 10% luck in the ODI format, in T20 format it is 50% luck and 50% skill. So if a batsmen is lucky on a given day, he may smash the best T20 bowler available for more than 20 runs in an over. qne unfortunately none of the Indian bowlers can be considered as T20 specialists.
The bowlers in T20 has to be on point with all the deliveries if not they will be taken apart, Ashwin was a specialist in T20 and that is how he got national recognition as he was performing well in the IPL as an opening bowler but i am not sure what happened to him as he is not even in the T20 set up of things while he is only playing Test cricket, Bumrah is a good bowler in all format because of his capability to bowl stump to stump line, the world cricket has a few T20 specialist and earlier there was Umar Gul who shined really well.

The batsmen have got used to Ashwin's variations and he is struggling abroad in all formats. And at home he needs turning tracks to take wickets. Now the other spinners such as Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are being preferred because of their ability to perform even on hostile tracks. But the Indian pacers have excelled in all sort of tracks. Bumrah is currently being regarded as one of the top bowlers in the world right now and Mohammad Shami and Ishant Sharma are not too far behind.
12487  Economy / Economics / Re: How do manage portfolio efficiently while having a full time job? on: December 13, 2019, 03:22:00 AM
Well... it is not too hard, if you are not a day trader. Long term or medium term investment doesn't take too much effort or time, and you can manage your investments along your day job. But you can never adjust day trading with a full time job. Because it needs you to make split-second decisions and constantly keep track of the new developments in the market. No matter how flexible your employer is, if you do this during your office hours, then you may find yourself jobless very soon.
12488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: December 13, 2019, 03:00:55 AM
Why compare altcoins to bitcoin superiority? Of course bitcoin dominance is going to increase relatively to altcoins. Imaginr all exchange and market had btc pair of course they could still be on top as expected. Investors know which is less risky in terms of trading and btc is always a safe play ground.

You can't predict that Bitcoin dominance will continue to increase for ever. Because during the last 3-4 months, we have witnessed it coming down from 71% to 66%. But still, we may see a consolidation in the altcoin market. The number of new coins getting listed has declined considerably and the total number of active coins is getting reduced due to smaller ones dying out. IMO, within the next 2-3 years we may be having only a few hundred altcoins, instead of the current number of approx. 10,000.
12489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 13, 2019, 02:32:19 AM
The cooling period should be towards England not for Ireland if that such exist then only the country cannot recruit the players until the next cooling period. So England cannot select any players from another country for the next four players so we can stop talent selling. Cheesy
I do not think that these cooling period was created to aide England but the GCC countries especially UAE and other Arab nations as the players are hired mercenaries as none of the people from their country are playing for their national team and all of the team members are filled with players from India, Pakistan and other countries and i guess these leeway rules are made to help them rather than other countries, but then if there is a loophole then other countries will take advantage of it.

The headquarters of the ICC is located in the United Arab Emirates, and the Emirates Cricket Board has been one of the biggest supporters of global cricket. Perhaps that was one of the reason why the ICC tweaked the rules to aid them some 15 years ago. But it is not a good sight to watch the Emirates cricket team playing matches without a single Emirati in the playing XI. The same can be said about several other teams, including Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada. There should be a mandatory minimum of 3-4 citizens in the playing XI.

Now coming to England, they have relied heavily on foreign talent for the last 2-3 decades to stay on top. Can you imagine an English team without players such as Ben Stokes, Eoin Morgan and Jofra Archer? IMO, it is good that players such as Morgan and Archer are getting fat salaries by playing for England. But the question is why the other cricket boards should suffer as a result. Look at the current state of the South African team. Two decades back, they used to be the no.1 ODI side. Now they can't even give a good fight against the top teams.
12490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: December 13, 2019, 02:10:31 AM
The match between Chennai and North East United has got postponed without further announcement of the match date. The political tension out of a new bill that's been passed in the upper and lower house of the parliament is the reason for the same. The citizens bill has led to the protest, compared to remaining states of the country Assam people seems to be affected big. This is why the protest is getting stronger with time. The ruling government just goes with their own plans without knowing the needs of the people.

I don't think that you can really blame the government. The Citizenship Amendment Bill was there in the BJP manifesto and they got more than 50% vote in Assam. Obviously the fringe elements and illegal Bangladeshis are going to protest, but the election results from the past 5-6 years prove that the vast majority of the citizens are in favor of the CAB. Also, last time the party of the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants (AIUDF) had contested the elections after forming an alliance with the main opposition Congress party. Even then, they were unable to win a good number of seats.

Some of the Indian fans misbehaved with Virat Kohli during the second T20I (which was played at Trivandrum, Kerala). I agree that Sanju Samson is a good player. But you can't really misbehave with the team selectors or team captain, if your favorite player doesn't get selected. I think Virat was also quite irritated by the crowd behavior and I am sure that this incident is not going to help Samson in any way.
It was not a big surprise, i was vocal here on his exclusion from the playing eleven and the player replacing him was not performing for a long time and time after  time he was given the opportunity to be in the team and it was evident that if Sanju Samson was not selected in the T20 played in Kerala the crowd will express their opinion on the team selection and that is what happened. I know Sanju Samson personally and the bias situation where Pant is giving many opportunities even while he is failing terribly every time under the pressure and still not a single chance for Sanju to play a single game is unfortunate.

@Sashi said that in this forum about the situation if Sanju is not selected and that is exactly what happened.

I agree that Samson deserved a few games. But at the same time supporters need to understand that they should express their anguish in a civil way. Booing your own captain is not going to do any good. Even from the start, his supporters have been pulling down Samson. First it was Shashi Tharoor and Sreesanth who came out vocally in his favor. And obviously there was some backlash from the other parts of India, as the regional equations came in to play. And now I don't think that Indian cricket fans are going to take this incident at Trivandrum lightly. In the end, it is going to have a negative impact on Samson.
12492  Economy / Economics / Re: Does China Control Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2019, 03:11:51 AM
People from China have a huge mining power, they have a lot of Bitcoins, it's logical to assume that they can manipulate with the price but until a certain point. They can't control the entire network, their actions can affect the Bitcoin in the ways they wish, but there are other parties involved too. It would be fair to say that who owns som amount of Bitcoins, control that amount, but nothing more.

I don't understand why China is being given so much importance. Most of the Chinese users started using Bitcoin only after mid-2013. And even now they rank below the United States and the European Union in terms of raw volumes. It is true that most of the mining pools are located in China. The only reason for that is the availability of cheap electricity and mining hardware. And as of now mining pools don't have much bargaining power, because they haven't formed any cartels or cabals.

It was an impossible task to start and West Indies does not have their best team in this format and even if they had the best team it is not an easy task to chase 241 runs but Kieron Pollard and Shimron Hetmyer played a really good innings and it was evident that they will struggle under pressure to keep up the run rate and after that partnership they kept on loosing wickets trying to increase the run rate, the Indian top order played really well to get to a score like this and Shami bowled really well and glad to see him in the team in the decider.

Just admit it. West Indies is several levels below India and in reality it was a David vs Goliath match. Some of the star West Indian batsmen are not playing in this series, but all of their mainstream bowlers were present in the squad (Sheldon Cottrell, Jason Holder, Khary Pierre and Kesrick Williams). Even if they had players such as Andre Russell and Andre Fletcher, I don't think that the outcome could have been any different, given the huge total that India managed to build.

If its not a seaming wicket then why did they included 4 pacers and left out the spinner Yasir Shah.

There are actually a number of questions. Why 4 pacers and no good spinner on a wicket which is supposed to help the spinners? Why still no Fawad Alam after all the centuries he has scored in the domestic? Since Misbah came, there seems to be a hell lot of interference of politics as well as stupidity.

Sri Lanka is struggling at 202/5 and it will be difficult for them to get to a score in excess of 300. So I have to say that the Pakistani strategy worked, since in a sub-continent track they are restricting the opponents to less than 300. Yasir Shah is a promising bowler and in case the current bunch of bowlers are unable to do their job, then he'll get a chance to play during the second test.
12495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 12, 2019, 01:41:11 AM
Now we can't stop these players from doing so. But the ECB should give some sort of monetary compensation to the Irish board, so that they can be reimbursed of the money they spent on the players.
I am not sure is they any such rule exist on the book of cricket if not then its better to create something so in future we can avoid country clashes for players migration.Or some kind of fines will be collected for every match he was playing for another country was better idea?

If there is a fine (I would rather use the term monetary compensation), then it should be a one off payment and not a fixed amount per match. For example, some one who is playing for Ireland can represent England if he gets selected to the team tomorrow. But the reverse is not true. If Ireland want to select someone who has played for England, then there is a 4-year cooling period.

This rule was created in order to make sure that talented players don't drop out of teams such as England and play for smaller countries. Who in their right mind would wait for 4 years? By that time, their career will be over. But it is very discriminatory towards the smaller countries. This 4-year cooling period should be applicable for smaller countries as well.
12496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: December 11, 2019, 06:40:23 AM
Not that boycotted as a whole but in some ways, yes many of them are being ignored because of the performance that the market showed last year. To be specific, bitcoin also didn't do good last year and this turned into the minds of every investor that investing into alt is riskier than bitcoin. I think we've seen bitcoin's dominance around 75% this year and that only means that investors are still there and still believing into bitcoin so no matter how many altcoins can be seen to be good, many are not willing to take higher risk.

There is no boycott as such, but investors are not willing to invest in new coins anymore after the huge losses they incurred during 2018. That said, if a group of altcoin promoters or developers are able to convince the investors about the future potential of their coin, there is still a good chance that they'll be able to attract investment. But what happens now is that although the ICO promoters want money from the investors, they are not ready to listen to their queries and doubts.
12497  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is the richest person? on: December 11, 2019, 03:11:27 AM
Satoshi if still surviving could be another most riches person in the world. Satoshi allegedly holds 1 million bitcoin which are about $72 billions at current price that comes along the money richest persons have. Imagine the moment bitcoin doubles, Satoshi would be the most richest person in the world.

How did you got to the calculation of $72 billion? Satoshi's wallets contain a total of BTC980,000. As per the current exchange rates, his stash will be worth $7.1 billion. But that is not all. We are forgetting about all the forked coins, such as BCH, BTG and BTD. His Bitcoin Cash horde will be worth at least $200 million. Bitcoin Gold has gone down in value recently, but even then if he claims the BTG coins, then his stash will be worth another $5.5 million, which is not a small amount.

Our dear Sherlock aka Umer still looking out for dirt and digging some conspiracy theory.. nice bro

Very boring day as far as Cricket is concern. so please enlighten us with some good conspiracy tales, Would love to hear you out.  Wink
He really likes conspiracy theory as there is no way an international player from India will do anything silly because the amount of money they are earning is too good to do something foolish like that and the amount of pension they get is ridiculous and who in the right sense will do anything like that, other countries might be doing as the pay scale might not be good and we often seen Pakistan players under the fixing radar and they might be doing that because of financial uncertainty Wink.

Haha yeah he does, surely one of the interesting character in our tiny cricket community  Grin Nice guy.

Agree almost all international players from India are financial secure and some are ridiculously rich. Bookies can't even reach out to top players but not sure about Junior cricketers when they play domestic cricket or franchise cricket such as IPL, they seems easy target to me.

Being rich doesn't necessarily mean that the players are not susceptible to match fixing. Money is just one of the weapons being used to force the players to fix matches. In the past, the Dawood Ibrahim gang used to contact Indian and Pakistani players and used to threaten them to make them willing to fix matches. Also there are rumors that some of the Pakistani players were honey trapped in to match fixing (one name that came up was that of Danish Kaneria).

Earlier most of these cases were swept under the carpet by the respective cricket boards. And in the end, it used to be the whistle-blowers who ended up on the wrong side. What happened to Manoj Prabhakar is a perfect example. He came out with some startling claims in 2000, and in the end rather than investing about his accusations, the BCCI banned him. I heard that some very big names were involved, including Kapil Dev and Mohammad Azharuddin.

Actually KPL is in T20 format which also attracts a lot of glamour with it which is why it's obvious such things happen in early stages. It even used to happen during initial few IPL when players like Sreesanth were found doing such things what can you expect from KPL.

Sreesanth was acquitted by the court, as it found that the charges against him were cooked up. Rather than a case of match fixing, it was a case of personal vendetta. I am not sure, but Sreesanth had claimed that it was Dinesh Karthik who got him framed during the IPL scandal. I won't be surprised if it is true, because some of the TN players (Karthik, Vijay, Ashwin.etc) are known to be very close to the former ICC chief N Srinivasan. Anyway, his career is finished now as he is still serving a ban (for an offense for which he was acquitted many years ago).
12500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: December 11, 2019, 01:49:23 AM
Now all the teams have completed 7 matches each, and as expected the strongest two teams are on top (ATK and Bengaluru FC). At the bottom we have the three weakest teams - Kerala Blasters FC, Chennaiyin FC and Hyderabad FC. During their last match, Chennaiyin had a very good chance of getting 3 points, but they allowed Jamshedpur to equalize with just 1 minute to spare.
This is what happening with Chennai over the last two matches. When it comes to Kerala Blasters, the same. In most matches kerala makes the first goal and further their game goes down. This way they've lost few, else could've gone little above in the points table. Kerala lost its fans support at some point, as there is continuous disappointment at the end.

I remember that during last year there was a call by their fans to boycott home matches of Kerala Blasters FC. We can't blame them, as the team ended up losing several matches which they would have won. The tickets don't come cheap and the fans were left high and dry after their repeated failures. Even during the first phase of this edition, the fan response was very much muted. And now they are becoming even less interested in the matches of their team, as there is no improvement in the performance.
