12481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: August 21, 2016, 03:17:42 PM
It is not, so long as you don't put others in the risk during the process, it's perfectly fine to gamble. However, remember that gambling too often might lead to addiction that would wreck your life in the future. So, gamble in moderation.
12482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: August 21, 2016, 12:43:46 PM
I wonder how big this is going to be?  I see some pretty big names in crypto involved in the project... I bought a few ICOO thinking that maybe some investors will see the potential upside of early cryptocurrency investing

We certainly believe we're in a business with huge upside potential.

But it is for each on it's own to make conclusion and participate or not.

I would recommend reading both whitepapers:
https://www.iconomi.net/ICONOMI_Whitepaper.pdf
https://www.iconomi.net/CoinFundsWhitepaper.pdf

Could you fix the link? I don't know if it's just on my connection but it says that the site cannot establish a secure connection. I'd like to read the whitepaper but I can't.

On a side note, seeing that LISK's CEO is somehow involved in this ICO makes me think that it would be a pretty good investment. Also, participating in several dev-related events is a plus because unlike other ICOs, the devs of this coin is willing to show the public their faces.

Threshold: 2000 BTC
Should the crowdfunding campaign fail to reach its capital goal of 2000 BTC, all funds will be returned.

I notice this, is this too greedy? Btw, you have escrow, which is good, I see Lisk's Max.

It is doable, if people see that it's indeed a good project and the one holding the coins is a transparent and is also a reputable member of the altcoin community. Also, seeing the plan makes me think that investors would see this coin as promising.

I'd like to do a translation for Filipino but it seems that it's already done. :/

Stop with flame war here, lets share important thing pls

I honestly don't think that there would be anymore important matters to discuss other than people getting their money back (which I think is too far off now) and where can they locate these people if in case it turns out to be a scam so that people can file lawsuits.

Am I right? Huh

imo fancy polished version of the 2015 common ico scam.

1: Buy your own Coins during the Ico, never pay for it of course so they come for free.
2: Release a promising shitcoin.
3: Pump the Coin it with fake Vol.(Basicly buy your own free Coins.)
4: Redcandle most of the free ICO Coins when shit hits the fan at the end, then find excuses.
5: Catch some after the dump and repeat lower and act like you care again.

the same bs happened here imo.
They just bought Accounts and make it look pretty much legit compared to a nowadays Mining/Ico Scam.

Well played Gentlemen , well played.
Proof me wrong.

btw:
Karma will come for you one way or another.

I've been into a private pump trading group and this pretty much is what we did (well that was a year or so ago) and I can confirm that this is indeed what most scam ICOs do in order to fool their "investors" by buying up their own share of the ICO and pretend to be outsiders that do have some unique interest on the said coin. Well there are some cases that some staff on the exchange is also a conspirator to do a "ninja-add" of the coin lol.

From what i have read here. So phoneix is more MIA and he has some btc with him. Can i know how many btc he has and is there any prove that the LIR has been refunded? It is how funny that the top 10 investors are going to have their refund and they didnt seem to make any post here, either before the refund or after the refund.

I don't think that there would be a refund that will occur since, well, the devs doesn't seem to come up with some sort of consensus with the community. Also, only the top 10 will get their refunds while the rest would be left with a loss? And some of the top 10 investors haven't voiced out anything? It seems really, uhhm, fishy.
12487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: August 19, 2016, 04:09:29 PM
Since the previous ICO I've watched (LIR) turned to be, well somehow, fishy, I'm still treading alight on this new ICO (which on the OP is a little interesting, I might say). I might chuck in something if more reputable members of the community give some positive comments to this but for now, I'd stay on the bounties and see what I can offer for this coin.

Btc address: 1NkziwLfr6vzNq4Z7abd4Nja5zhqbhUWZU

You have a negative trust. I think the OP will not accept you because it will have a bad impact to the market of this campaign..

Btw, i have a question OP. What if i joined as a member and ranked up for the following week to full member that are currently full spot. What will gonna happened? Am o going to be out of the campaign or still in and that make 26 spot available for full member? Just adking. Thanks

I've already asked cryptodevil about the tag and I haven't received any payment yet from them, plus, I don't know that it's a scam since it's just my first term on that campaign.

Well, if shit hits the fan, people behind this signature campaign SHOULD pay their participants even if they have removed their signatures since it poses a neg rating. And besides, we all did work for a week of this campaign (even if it's a bi-weekly campaign, we did something for the exposure of the coin) so I guess it's just fair for us to receive something for whatever we did.

Removing the signature.
12491  Economy / Services / Re: LetItRide Signature campaign. CLOSED FOR NEW MEMBERS on: August 17, 2016, 02:49:52 AM
Since there is a little commotion going on in the LIR main thread, is it possible for you, mexxer, to request at least an "emergency payout" if shit hits the fan? I mean, the account used by the previous manager hasn't been opened for days, which I think is a different person from the dev. Or have you heard anything from the team yet?
12492  Economy / Services / Re: ICONOMI Signature Campaign(OPEN) on: August 17, 2016, 02:45:09 AM
Is it okay if we reserve a slot until our campaign is finished (it will be on Friday, just waiting for the payout.)
12493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your money aim? At which point you would go in "retire"? on: August 16, 2016, 05:24:53 PM
I would be happy to retire at even a million dollars and have my own house and lot, a car, and my closest relatives would also have a house and a car too. I won't be bothering about going to work or tending my business if I have successfully achieve that goal. I'm not greedy, I just want to have a better life for me and my family and not the ultra-rich type person almost anyone wants to be. And, I think, bitcoin would help me reach that goal yey!
12494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is virtual currency for criminal on: August 16, 2016, 05:17:43 PM
And everyone in the government likes to portray that bitcoin is more evil compared to its fiat counterpart ^_^

Seriously people, this is some heavy bias and shit. Yes, bitcoin is used in online illegal activities, everyone knows that, but that doesn't mean that the people behind or who is using bitcoins support this idea. Everyone of us is disgusted with shady shit, and would not want to take part into something like that. If someone tells you the same thing, kindly bring up a nice discussion and defend bitcoin. It is not all about drugs and illegal things. It's about the freedom of using one's money.
12495  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bitminer.io - A Free mining site like the Bitcoin Millionare Game on: August 16, 2016, 05:10:29 PM
I smell something (un)usual here. Judging from the structure of this "game" this is another ponzi cloudmining type of thing which promises you unrealistic realistic returns in x amount of time. Actually, I'm feeling the positive vibe in here and feel like joining this game. I mean, come on! Who doesn't want 0.00001 BTC/minute? That's just like passive income. Really worth it guys.

/s

GTFO here, scammer.
12496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: August 16, 2016, 05:02:38 PM
There is no safer way in gambling whether it is sports betting or casino gambling. I saw some people consider gambling on sports events less risky and more chances but I will do agree on this. Gambling is based on luck and chances where players are looser most of the time in every type of gambling.

Sports betting would, in my opinion, be a safer bet (sorry for the pun) rather than casino gambling. Well, if you are a seasoned casino gambler, there is a higher chance that you might win big or just win every time you enter the place, whereas in sports betting, you just need to know your sport and not be a total pro to win streaks. But then again, gambling is gambling. The possibility of a loss still stands whatever type of game that is.
12497  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: August 16, 2016, 04:56:58 PM
Buying bitcoins now as a time to hold some, I feel we're going to enter a pretty good market at this point.

Seems as if the market is going to rebound with a loud roar.

Hopefully you are right. I have been holding my bitcoins for a long time now. And I hope I will have a good profit by next year or before the year ends. Hopefully no more hacking or bad news that will dampen the growth of bitcoins.

Truth be told, these things are inevitable as long as services and exchanges don't learn a lesson from previous hacks to secure their own system and thus preventing and prospective attacks and hacks on their platforms.

--

For me, as long as the price is stagnating, it is fine to buy up some coins to keep in your stash. It's better to buy low and see everybody freaking out while you keep on earning your future fortunes. I buy for the reason of getting some profits and sometimes buying things that either require credit cards (which I don't have) and/or bitcoins.
12498  Other / Off-topic / Re: What % of your Assets is Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2016, 04:44:05 PM
Honestly, I do have 70% + of my assets in bitcoins since this is the first venture/investment that I took part of and became successful with. I'm planning to diversify my holdings and cash out another 20% (since I already have some cash in the bank that I'm planning to keep for the future.) to invest on some penny stocks.

Really?! Flusha and JW on Godsent now? I haven't been peering into the pro scene for quite a while and I didn't expect the two fnatic members would go to another team. I wonder how would the two teams perform in several competitions incoming? A nice swap, I would say. 4 key player swap from 2 teams. Really unexpected! Now I'm torn on who to bet since I am a fanboy of JW's awping skills and Fnatics overall teamplay. :/

3 players from Fnatic are on GOD now. JW,Krimz,Pronax while Fnatic picked up TWIST and Lekro from GOD and brought in their standin WENTON.

Oh yes Pronax. Like I said, it's been a while since I follow the pro scene, so my knowledge about rosters is a little bit rusty (and honestly, I only remember notable players from most of the team). Because of this recent roster change (and Valve banning most sites I bet on, lol) I think I'm gonna skip this pro league until I get some extra btc.
