Site is down? Is there going on some kind of unexpected maintenance?
its stuck on loading picture for me too, i wanted to play a little bit of dice and i did not manage to access it i hope everything will be solved as soon as possible

PrimeDice is forever loading for me too. Things like this had already happened before and were solved by the team, so I hope everything will be okay pretty soon. PrimeDice will be fixed, trust me on this )

it hasnt been fixed if it is recurring issue.

I disagree with you here. Say you have a water tap on your kitchen and when it breaks you fix it but two months later it breaks again. Does it mean you didn't fix it? No, of course it doesn't. There are some things which you should fix on a regular basis.

PrimeDice is back and working good again btw. )
12502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how to recover btc on: January 05, 2016, 04:33:11 PM
Do you mean chargeback ?
Bitcoin transactions can not be charge back. Onse you  press the button send and the transaction get confirmed, you can not cancel it .

So do not deal with people or sites you do not trust

Exactly this. ^

Although this has to do with other things too. Bitcoin just emphasizes how important to remebmer the obvious rules when trading or when doing any other operations with money (doesn't matter digital or fiat).

Mexico or Brazil.
Maybe Brazil because they are bigger and have more money, for now

Brazil is already into Bitcoin. There is another thread about this already. They are ahead of the game.

I totally agree with this. Below are the links to some of the threads (maybe there are even more):

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1234350.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1190774.0

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=587262.0

It's good to see that not only so called "developed" countries are adopting Bitcoin, but that in countries like Brazil, Romania or Philippines Bitcoin is also making its way to wide adoption.
12505  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why is primedice restricted in some countries? on: January 04, 2016, 02:01:20 PM
I'm prettttty sure that US users get restricted too. only they're too advanced and obsessed with anonymity that they didn't even notice.

haha, that's a good one!  Smiley

But actually I agree at least partly. PrimeDice is banned in the US as far as I know and nevertheless you can still see some people from the US in the PD chat. You know, if you want something badly you will find a way to do it.)
12506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: January 04, 2016, 01:46:37 PM
Gambling has only issues with it. Advantage is just having fun. Eventually , the issue is you loose everything.

In many cases (if not in most cases) yes, you lose everything in the end. But when this "everything" is just your balance which is less than 0.5% of your monthly income then it's not a big problem. It is still fun even though you lost "everything".
12507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest/Best Gambling Session on: January 03, 2016, 03:26:06 PM
What was/is you biggest or best gambling session? Starting small ending way up? How much have you made in a single session?

I think my best gambling session was when I won the 9900x bet on Primedice after betting just 23 times with 200 sats. I won almost 0.02 BTC then but as far I had over 200K sats on my balance I thought why didn't I bet with 5k sats instead of 200 sats. I'd won 0.5 BTC then  Smiley
12508  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: January 03, 2016, 12:18:27 PM
Bitcoin are quite risky, therefore i would advice to invest what you can miss.

Buying bitcoins today would be even more risky, so try to get some of those little coins in the 350 -380 range.

First of, I seriously doubt that Bitcoin will ever be below $380 again. Secondly I don't think that buying Bitcoin is more risky than investing in anything else. As we all know from history even the most "reliable" schemes fail sometimes.
12509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some one paid 1.0394BTC as fee for 2 transactions. on: January 03, 2016, 10:47:38 AM
The guy that hacked Bitstamp paid really high fees to get his stolen coins moved really fast because Bitstamp had figured out what he was up to. The hacker and Bitstamp had a battle to move the coins first because they both had the private keys.

Those transactions in the OP could have been made by a hacker who wanted to move stolen coins really fast, and who didn't care how high the fees were because they were paid with stolen coins.

I don't know what you are talking about. Haven't you checked the transactions? The total amount of both of them is around 3 BTC. Do you think it makes any sense to steel 3 BTC and to pay over 1 BTC as fees?
12510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone betting on the American election? on: January 02, 2016, 06:37:04 PM
Donald Trump @ 8.6
Looks good Smiley I think they'll elect this clown. Attendance is not much in US so this clown can be easily elected.

You know, you may be right. I was 100% sure half a year ago that Trump has no chances but now ... hm it all changes so fast in this world. And I even forgot that the Attendance is a factor too. People who don't like Trump don't like to go to the elections either.

Looks cool dude  Grin
Did you make it with a 3D Printer?

As Op said it was made from Amber and as far as I know you can't make with a 3D Printer a thing from amber or even from any thing made from a whole piece of a material like marble, amber, amethyst etc. Correct me if Im wrong.
12512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: January 02, 2016, 05:58:09 PM
a lot of people like to gamble their money because it is interesting way to spend your time in my opinion thats the only advantage of gambling besides that there are only negative aspects to it such as loosing all your money or wasting time searching for good strategies

Gambling are interesting way to loose money in my perspective.
Many gamblers are still searching for any advantages to continue their gambling. Yes, everybody needs some reasons for being into gambling. Gamble when your are not bothering about loosing money. Because it's an entertainment but it costs more.

Yes, I am also in search of any benefit from gambling. But some times I find gambling as relaxation providing for my stressful life. But the money required for this relaxation is not fairly priced.

Yes, the cost for gambling entertainment is differently priced for different gamblers based on their greedy levels.
In my opinion, if you play gambling only for entertainment then you must go for faucet earning or demo accounts for your gambling without any cost for it.

Exactly! And if you know and understand this then you don't need no demo accounts and it is not necessarily to play from a faucet only. You can gamble with $0.5 or even with a lesser amount, just don't be too greedy, don't plan to make money with gambling.
12513  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Idea to extract hot air for better cooling efficiency on: December 31, 2015, 10:53:14 AM
Here's a curious idea.  Has anyone tried using peltier junctions to extract energy from the heat?  Say you stick one side on the heatsink of the miner and the other side out your window.  Obviously, the electricity produced depends on the temperature differential.  How big would the peltier junction need to be to keep pace with the miner?

That's a great idea. I think it is possible to compensate partly electricity consumption with this method. Of course we can't compensate it completely because this would mean we invented a perpetuum mobile.  Smiley
12514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: December 31, 2015, 10:37:29 AM
What is the prime motto for your gambling.
Many people here are against considering gambling as a earning source. Without money, you will not be able to gamble.
Just for fun type of gamblers, only a demo account or a video game is more than enough.

Please share your ideas on role of money in gambling.

IMO real money is something which is necessary if you want to have an authentic experience from gambling.

However you don't have to have a lot of money to have fun with gambling. Even $1 which is 230k sats now is enough to gamble over a span of an hour.
12515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need your opinions on: December 30, 2015, 05:18:45 PM
It looks nice, but has no actual value at all.

What did you mean by that? What makes you think it has no actual value?

It is made with precision and it's amber ffs. IMO it makes a very good souvenir at least.

List it on eBay then promote the auction here. I'm pretty sure someone would be interested on it.

Exactly! That's what I'm talking about. It's a very nice souvenir to give somebody for Christmas for example.

But as I said before you should take a better picture of it, from a different angle and maybe with another kind of lighting.
12516  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] Best Dice of 2015 on: December 29, 2015, 02:52:55 PM
I'm glad that PrimeDice is number one here with 30.5% of all votes. They absolutely deserve it and I think that the situation will not change until January 1st 2016 when the voting is closed.

Good job guys! Happy New Year! You have the reason to celebrate.  Smiley
12517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone heard of BITCOIN-CLUB.ORG? on: December 29, 2015, 02:41:11 PM
You have to do extensive promotion to get referal under you who actually activates as it is hard to get anybody to pay 22$ for membership only. So overall cost of advertising will be more than your income from referals. I like to remain quite far from this type of pyramid structure.

It is indeed a lot of hardwork and promotion to get people to sign-up and activate. However I've also known people who joined MLMs such as Forever Living Products, USANA, JEUNESSE, etc who paid hundreds of dollars for a membership and yet earn a tiny fraction of that in commissions. I usually stay away from MLMs / Pyramid too coz I don't know how to sell lol. This happened to be the first one since it's all about bitcoins and I thought it's not too bad to try with $22. Grin
But the site is offering nothing other than the information you can fer in this forum.  To top it off the information provided is only their opinion of the information.  In that case you might do one better and make a membership site that links to forum information to save you time from rewriting the information and charging $4 or .1 BTC for the site.  The referral levels would look something like:
 Level #1 - .02 BTC Per Referral
 Level #2 - .005 BTC Per Referral
 Level #3 - .003 BTC Per Referral
 Level #4 - .002 BTC Per Referral
 Level #5 - .001 BTC Per Referral

If everyone gets 5 referrals, you would receive 4.975 BTC.  And you did nothing buy put together a information site with public knowledge information.

Well, that's the definition pf a pyramid. Some people even call it SCAM. Beware.

That is exactly my point and this site BITCOIN-CLUB.ORG is the exact same thing.  They are offering nothing more than the information that can be obtained through these forums and over the internet, free of charge and they are offering referral fees for 5 different levels.  This BS needs to be called out and stopped.  They are hurting the value of BTC and in no way helping it.  Can I get confirmation that this site, BITCOIN-CLUB.ORG, is not worth the storage space it takes up!!

I agree with you. And I'm glad that showing up on this forum doesn't help them to thrive. They'd better avoid this place actually for their own good Smiley

12518  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bitcoin bet of 2015? on: December 29, 2015, 02:32:44 PM
A player who is assumed to be an old bettor called mechs did a large bet of over 1300 BTC in a single bet at https://BetKing.io (former PocketRocketsCasino) a while back. Is there anybody to beat this kind of a bet anymore? The highroller managed to build up hundreds of BTC via small multipliers before losing.

What are your thoughts? Is there any point in betting hundreds of thousands of dollars on dice, even if the site is trusted? I personally feel like I'm betting a crap ton even if the bet sizes are as tiny as 0.1 BTC...

1300 BTC? Oh my God, who is that crazy man? Hope that is only an early adopter, but what luck for the owner of that dice site. Anyway, the maximum bet that I've seen is on Just Dice, but now I don't remember precisely how many BTC was (But I'm sure that the amount was more higher than 1000 BTC)

I'm wondering how much that guy won before though. We can see only one bet from which he won 100 BTC but how many bets like this one were before that?

I don't think his winnings were over 1k BTC though.
12519  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 29, 2015, 02:23:44 PM
Investing, because of inflation.

Yeah, sure, but most of the time investing isn't a good choice too. You should be very careful when investing especially when they offer you a big profit in a short period of time. You may lose part of your money because of inflation if you hold them but you may lose all of them investing.

Invest where you get guaranteed returns, like real estates where the value is increasing on daily basis and you can make a good profit out of it, I know that it is not possible for everyone to invest in real estates as it requires huge investment at the initial stage but for who holds good amount of money should invest in real estates and also save money so it would take care of expenses at the time of emergencies.

The value of real estate is not necessarily increasing. A friend of mine has bought a house several years ago for $200k and today he can't sell it for $100k even. It actually depends on many factors and the situation in the region where your real estate is situated is one of them. If there is a war or a flood there you have no chance to return your money.

As the title states. Why on earth would some one do this? Is it a mistake, or done on purpose?

This tx includes 0.2493BTC as fee; http://blockr.io/tx/info/621cd73e184ef9180f2b3451a1b5b244de48e07effc9be6b731f7466358a924f

This tx includes 0.7901BTC as fee; http://blockr.io/tx/info/07f11415bc6b6a4611c96812e2d40b8a53554e64c7f0bdf9a2bb7c6eeb2b43e7

That's unbelievable! If it was a mistake then why on earth he did it twice?

Maybe someone here could explain because I can see no reasons for paying such high fees on purpose.
